Although it’s a temporary appointment, it will be interesting to see if the Democrats challenge this appointment in court.
Trump’s own criminal defense team made the argument that the special counsel wasn’t constitutionally permissible because he came from outside government.
They were likely correct.
Interim USA appointments usually are awarded to prosecutors already inside the government for this reason.
You underestimate Trump’s attorneys. They would know whether there was any problem with this nomination from a legal standpoint.

My only concern about Pirro is her age. Back when she had her own Fox show on Saturday nights, she seemed to be struggling toward the end of her run. I haven’t watched her on The Five, but I assume she’s done well in that spot. Hopefully she’s as sharp as ever when it comes to matters of the law, and won’t be overwhelmed by the stench of the swamp.
