The State Dept. Global Engagement Center was the epicenter of the Dept of State operation to control speech on social media platforms. Following revelations from within the Twitter Files, and facing increasing scrutiny, the GEC operation was shut down – but the remnants of the operation remained active within the State Dept.
The terms “disinformation, misinformation and malinformation” were weaponized by the State Dept to define speech against their interests and block, deplatform and remove any voices, including in the U.S., they determined were against the interests of the U.S. government. The COVID-19 and vaccine narrative were both examples of speech targeted by the GEC and later the Counter Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference office (R-FIMI).
Today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Acting Undersecretary of Public Diplomacy, Darren Beattie, delivered notice to congress the speech and platform control operation has been shut down. Secretary Rubio sat down with Mike Benz to discuss [Transcript Here].

Secretary Rubio continues to surprise many, me included. It started when Rubio publicly said, the Ukraine conflict was a U.S. proxy war against Russia. “It’s been very clear from the beginning that President Trump views this as a protracted, stalemated conflict,” Rubio said. “And frankly, it’s a proxy war between nuclear powers, the United States helping Ukraine, and Russia.” [link]
Considering that Rubio previously called for NATO intervention in Ukraine, and considering that Rubio voted to limit the ability of the President to withdraw from NATO policy, the recent remarks by Secretary of State Rubio were shockingly the opposite of his prior stances.
Saying the USA is in a proxy war with Russia, via Ukraine, is not something Marco Rubio can retreat from.
Two days ago, specifically because of my granular research, I was asked this question about Rubio. “What are the odds this is really Rubio?”
Look, I don’t know what happened and would love to ask him some details to get answers; but Rubio’s statements are so far out there against the Deepest part of the Deep State, there is no retreat for the former Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
Rubio said publicly the Ukraine conflict was a USA proxy war against Russia. For obvious reasons the MSM essentially buried that statement fast; but it’s not something he can ever retreat from, nor does it look like he would want to.

I’m still undecided, because there are some IC facets at play (even today) that I am still not comfortable writing about, yet.
That said, where do these statements put Rubio in the dynamic of MAGA foreign policy? Right at the tippy top of the spear against the deadliest elements of the U.S. Intelligence Apparatus.
The United States Secretary of State told the world, the biggest conflict zone in the past 20 years is the result of Ukraine being a USA proxy war against Russia.
Put everything else aside for the moment and realize, with that statement the guy just wiped out every Deep State affiliation he ever carried. He cannot enter that camp ever again. Rubio “burned the boat” and carried his weapon into battle for Trump.
The question is, did Rubio burn his boat knowing there is another one beyond the horizon waiting to come in and pick him up later? He really is playing the role of a dragon slayer for President Trump right now.

Sadly, I agree. Even prior to now, Rubio has had a lot of people fooled since his emergence into the public arena, with his once fresh young face and trustful, articulate messages. The Rubio of today reminds me of the younger, so promising Rubio of earlier years. I am convinced that acting lessons are a part of the Congress orientation. I fear nothing is authentic – only that Rubio learned well and is excelling in his performance. I like his current ‘face’ but I trust it as far as I can spit (which is not very far)

We will take what we can get and hope for the best. But watching him is a good idea. What has been impressive about Rubio is his extremely clear articulation of the situation as it is without sugarcoating it. And if anyone has noticed, he never misses an opportunity to clarify the Trump admin foreign policy every chance he gets. It’s amazing to watch. Maybe Trump surviving two attempts on his life changed many people’s view of him- that’s a real possibility. If you believe in a higher power, you have to admit those were miracles.

I don’t mean to imply you said this but for the sake of this community let’s not conflate the activity of protesting with a crime. In the USA it is our fundamental right to disagree and yes, even to gather to express our concerns. Sometimes we are quite angry and LOUD in our disagreements.
The DS now piggybacks the term “crime” within these normal constitutional activities, like protest gatherings and even speaking to one another.

My opinion is that he has realised from contact with his Florida Latino voters, that Latino voters are conservative and are more and more supporting Trump.

If the administration has to ask Congress for more weapons and funding for Ukraine, it will no longer be Biden’s war. The only way to end it is to end it.

I have been following Benz for years… when he was a nobody shouting in the wind with a few thousand views on back channels like Rumble. I listened to him because he was able to connect so many disparate dots like Sundance. I saw him become more and more popular and eventually the issue that he was most concerned about (free speech) came to be a nationally and globally recognized problem. I think his rise to fame and popularity was much like The Duran Alexes who were struggling just like Benz before they finally made it. I am not 100% he sure he isn’t what he seems to be, but I would be shocked if he was, as much as I would be about Sundance not being the real deal.

Stealth IC? I dunno. My reading of Rubio might be a little simpler. I’ve known Rubio indirectly mostly via connex since he was at UF. When he was in law school at UM, he went to work for Ileana Ross Lehtinen, and then Jeb Bush. Rubio is ambitious and a hard worker. He is talented at aligning himself with people who will boost him; he was very good as Jeb’s stepnfetchit. He’s not a brainiac but he’s a good study, a superb “spox” and talker, and excellent at being a boss’s “second”.
The Bush family is basically out of the picture now (and Rubio may have burned that bridge in 2016). The “boss” now is Donald Trump. Rubio wants to be president, and if vigorously carrying out Trump’s America First policies will get him there, that’s what he will do.
At this point, remembering that Rubio’s family escaped tyranny, I tend to give him a cautious benefit of the doubt. Also note that, unlike many silver-spoon Ivy League types (Santa Fe Community College, then UF, then UM, then a long stint through Florida legislature), Rubio is self-made and has had to “align” where necessary in order to claw his way up through the Florida, then national politics.
We can only watch, because we don’t know what Rubio’s (chameleon?) inner convictions are, what he would be or do if or when he were not carrying out the program of a boss. One thing that bodes well from my standpoint is that for all the years in politics, Rubio has only a reasonable net worth.
I never thought a whole lot of him (mostly because of his association with the Bushes et al.) but I would like to be optimistic, and maybe it’s unfair to hold the past stuff against him.

As the U-crane war winds down and hostilities with Russia become a thing of the past, be on the lookout for the REPURPOSING OF NATO.
The USA isn’t going to get out of “2025” NATO …… instead, with the aim towards securing the eastern flank of MAGA / America First. … President Trump will use his MAGA skills to turn the resources of the multi-country NATO defense force from mainly concentrating on Russia, to concentrating on the European’s (not EU) new enemy within their walls, the dangerous, non-nationals who have been allowed to invade their countries.
“The Saving of Europe from the EU”, aka The REPURPOSING OF NATO towards their real enemy, on the European’s own nickel. President Trump to provide the ideas and catalyst to make it happen.
America’s expelling of the illegals out of it borders will be an example of what needs to be done in Europe to expel all of the dangerous, non-nationals out of their countries.
NATO (funded mainly by the Europeans) will be “repurposed” from defending against Russia to deporting the hordes of dangerous non-nationals who have been let into Europe’s borders, much like biden’s treacherous open borders let in 26,000,00 non-nationals into the USA.
The demand for expulsion, following the example of President Trump’s mass deportation of America’s invaders, will come from the citizens of each country through NATO, not from their leaders.
Along with using NATO to deport the non-nationals, the citizens will vote out the crop of globalist / communist leaders who got them into the EU mess in the first place, aka America’s 11/5/24 election.
TOTAL EXIT, coming as the dangerous hordes are driven out of each European country (including Ireland) and the people vote in MEGA politicians, Make-Europe-Great-Again politicians…….. shoring up the eastern flank of MAGA / America First for decades if not centuries into the future.

I hope so. I have met many Russian citizens and military (including the good fortune of meeting a pair of GRU Spetznas when my wife and I visited East Berlin in the 70’s)
They are so much like us in their attitudes and desires for their families’ futures, that Russia and America would probably be the world’s best friends…

What I would like to see between Russia and the USA is free and fair trade, no tariffs, and visa-free travel between us. Let our citizens get to know each other, and watch both nations and our people prosper.
