You seem to be insisting that we have the right to remain anonymous everywhere, and that the government cannot verify that we are who we are and also U.S. citizens.
So in doing so, everyone in the world can just blend in and assert the same “God-given rights” to be in the U.S., to vote, travel anywhere in the U.S. they want to, to work in the U.S., to claim benefits in the U.S., and to enjoy all the rights of citizens of the U.S.
If we cannot identify who is a citizen, then we cannot identify who is not a citizen.

Verifying the actual identity and provenance of a player is simply called: “due diligence.”
In the past, there was no consistency, and really no security, in “state-issued identification.” Barkeeps were issued books to help them spot “fake IDs.” Well, that’s no way to run a country anymore.
The “Real ID” initiative was designed to make every “ID” more secure and more identifiable as probably-genuine. For example, a scannable code on the back including digital verification features. It is at least an important start.
Mike: State drivers licenses worked, until states began issuing drivers licenses and ID cards to illegal aliens, to goose the voter roles and census figures.
Corruption in state drivers license offices was always a problem. Always an employee looking for extra income.

Founding fathers kept handwritten records of who owned land and who, when someone died, inherited it, and restricted voting that way. They also kept handwritten census records and birth records, including designating “legitimate” heirs.
People carried birth records, deeds, marriage records, passes issued by officials, passports, and letters of introduction with unique “seals” to verify their identities (particularly important during the War for Independence).
The Fourth Amendment is irrelevant to this.

I find all those records acceptable to a single number that can be used to track everyone. Census fine, same with birth records, deeds, marriage records, etc. We have all those now.
The fourth Amendment or rather its abuse by our government is the most important issue facing our country, and I find this abuse directly related to this issue.

I was perusing the Bill of Rights this morning….the thought occurred to me that about 2/3 of those Amendments…relate to if We the People get in trouble with the ‘law’.

Maybe this is why we should have done something about our country being invaded by non-citizens?
Can illegals get Real ID? If they cannot then doesn’t that make them stand out in a crowd of Americans?
If one needs Real ID to vote and they need to show it then does that not hinder the ability of illegals voting? Would it make states who cheat in elections easier to get caught if the Feds have a list of who has Real ID in each state and then compare it to who voted?
I think that they are separating Americans from illegals and, for now, they need Real ID to implement the plan to Rid the USA of Illegals.

You certainly have a valid argument. However, half the states in this country do not require any ID. Some states will accept just a utility bill as valid identification.
The only way your point works is if there is a federal mandate for voter ID. The SAVE Act has not made its way to the Senate floor yet.
Also consider in the voting example that a handful of states still mail out ballots to every single person on their voter roll. I can almost guarantee that if California actually cleaned up it’s voter rolls to only include legal documented citizens they would lose several House seats and electoral college votes.
What is to be done about all those Mail in ballot states? They aren’t going to comply willingly. They will rightly states that the United States Constitution guarantees them the right to hold their elections as they see fit.
Lots of conundrums to rectify. Are the Feds really capable of matching every single ballot in every single with a Real ID?
I don’t really know. But I have a suspicion that this is just tightening the noose around illegals squatting in the USA.
I can see the Trump Administration arguing that if we need Real ID to board a plane then we should need Real ID to get federal government benefits, to vote in Federal Elections, to work, to enter a Federal National Park (I am sick of seeing illegals crowding our Natl. Parks), to get Federal Student Loans, to work in the Federal Government, to join the US military, and go to a university that accepts Federal dollars.

True. Mexico requires a lot of documentation to get a voter ID card. If we brought ourselves up to Mexican standards it would end most voter fraud. Voters should have to pick up mail in ballots in person with proper identification. However I would like to see mail in ballots outlawed.
All that is needed for “Real ID” is for a low paid minor functionary at a drivers license office to check off a list saying that the applicant provided certain documents. Wether they did or not is a matter of how much said functionary can be trusted.

I have a friend that lived in San Diego for 30 years. Her daughter went to a Catholic school in the area. She was telling me stories about how the cartel kids cross the border everyday to attend various private schools in the area. She also went on to tell me how respectful, mannerly, studious and refined these cartel kids are. My mouth was agape with disbelief the entire time she was telling me the stories. It is just crazy!

The District Courts in 2025 are not the neutral arbiters of the past. The identities of the plaintiffs in the myriad of lawsuits filed over the past 75 days are seemingly irrelevant. These lawsuits are almost entirely about the District Court battling against the Executive for control of the Government that the Executive was elected to lead.
The activist judiciary of 2025 has shown itself not worthy of the respect given to the judiciary of 1985. The District Courts have climbed into the ring and put on gloves. They are throwing blows on behalf of the political opposition — the side that built the administrative state and funded it to be what it has become.
If it insists and defending it against the efforts to dismantle it, the judiciary is going to get bloodied in the process — metaphorically speaking.

I knew it was something like that, but I didn’t know it was almost completely like that.

I’ll give one reason. In MN all meters are being replaced with “smart” meters, regardless of their age or function. Four plus million homes at a minimum of $100 each, duh.
I had a 8 year old meter that did NOT need a person to come read it. I was given 2 choices. Get the smart meter or get a meter that required a person to come to my home. I asked why they are installing meters that are less efficient than the one I have and they said the legislature required it. I called a rep on the committee and he said no, they did not require that.
“Smart meters” actually ARE a very sound idea. The meter can send back electricity-demand information from every point and even the farthest point in the distribution network – thereby exactly pinpoint-locating any component, anywhere, that might be ABOUT-to-fail. This also facilitates real-time adjustments to prevent “brown-outs.” (We now possess the affordable computing and data-storage power needed to make productive use of these data in real time.)
They also remove your need to “call the power company” when the power goes out. (Which, if you may notice, happens much less often than it used to …)

Not sound from an economical standpoint. The way to do it would have been replace oldest meters first and then work your way through the newer ones. Stopping power outages with data is not a benefit to me. My power still goes out when utility work hits a cable or a truck smashes down a power pole or a windstorm knocks down the lines.
They are only a sound idea if they provide lower cost to consumers, not higher.

Turn that around. Where in the Constitution is the Federal government authorized to assign a number to every citizen? that added (unwanted) complications to learning.
[ not that learning new information is easy. But also needing to translate -there is lag time – the spoken words / dialect / language
into one’s native language … really got to be a challenge with timely note taking (and thereby having useful information to review for homework / tests).

They are rated AAA because so many mortgages are in the pool that they could not all go bad – even though they could really all go bad.
Then the banks built ‘collateralized debt obligations’ on top of the MBS – these have the warm name of ‘CDOs.’ They are just rights to cash flows built on top of MBS which themselves are built on top of high risk mortgages. Pyramid scheme underway!
Then the banks built CDO ‘squared.’ These are CDOs built on top of other CDOs, with the same cash flow model and underlying garbage ‘assets.’
Then the banks traded these all around for years, making money with each trade. Just a huge scam where no one had any idea what the underlying assets were worth. It turned out they were worth nothing at all.
And so we had the 2008-09 financial crisis where all the little people lost their homes, while the gamblers up top kept their $$ and even got bonuses. They got bailed out by the government. They never said sorry and felt no embarrassment.
This is a story to keep in mind in the event we head into a new financial crisis. The Hedge Fund guys on here screeching and wailing do not have your back. They are trying to make more money than they could ever spend – and if that means workers lose a lot and shoot themselves – they do not care at all.
Take anything a financier says on here with a grain of salt. Read it in the most cynical way possible. They are not your friends.”
The real icing on the cake with that crisis ….The Banks didn’t want to do the fair (right) thing and share the loss by reducing principle as the banks were pushing down the value of property by fire sales on court house steps. This is where representatives could have stepped in but didn’t. Then the Obama government collecting the fines and distributing to friends instead of the people who were hurt…the home owner. We all talk about these things as if ‘they” operate with ethics…we ARE slaves and will never be considered.

“In a bombshell interview with Eric Bolling on The Balance, former New York City Mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani stunned conservatives by publicly expressing deep frustration with key decisions made under the Trump-era Department of Justice and FBI.
Giuliani — long viewed as a stalwart ally of the MAGA movement — admitted he is “very upset” with recent actions by officials at the Department of Justice and FBI.
This comes after FBI Director Kash Patel reportedly appointed Steven Jensen to lead the coveted FBI Washington Field Office. According to the New York Times, Jensen “played a key role in responding to the attack on the Capitol” on January 6th.
Jensen was then tasked as the Section Chief of the Domestic Terrorism Operations Section, according to former FBI Agent Kyle Seraphin. Seraphin, a whistleblower and member of a group of persecuted federal agent whistleblowers known as “The Suspendables,” said that the Domestic Terrorism group was “fixated” on Jan. 6.

In response to The New York Times report, The Gateway Pundit initially published an article citing a high-ranking FBI official who stated the story was “fake news.”
However, further confirmation from multiple federal sources now verifies that Steven Jensen has, in fact, been appointed Assistant Director of the Washington Field Office. While the FBI has not made a formal public announcement at the time of this writing, a post on X shared by the official FBI account of Director Kash Patel—reposting a mention of Jensen in his new role—effectively confirms the appointment.
When asked for clarification, the high-ranking official referenced in our original piece explained that his “fake news” comment was directed at the Times’ portrayal of Jensen’s role on January 6th—not the appointment itself. He added that Jensen is regarded internally as a “rockstar.”
While praising Trump’s Justice Department in general, Giuliani made it clear that something is very wrong with some of the personnel moves being made.

When March came he gave us another CR which continued Biden’s spending until this upcoming September – squandering an entire year.
We suffer rogue judges interfering in deportation of illegal alien terrorists. Johnson says impeachment is not the way, that there are “other things we can do”. He has since gone into hiding and is expected to surface at the end of April almost two months after his disappearance.
