to give a little more insight, consider that phishing and “linked devices” vectors are not the only way to exploit signal. As recently as 2022, signals was compromised and about 2000 accounts were at risk due to a hack into a second party that provides device “certification” for signal. called the twillio attack. In that attack signal did not recognize the exploit..it was third party cyber security teams that made them aware. i’ll take it a bit further…it’s not really the permanent staff at the CIA who actually operate and control the agenda (and the corruption)…it’s another layer. It would not be good opsec to have high level directors within the formal CIA …only those production assets who have plausible deniability.
the real problem exists in the shadows….where real people who are not officially a part of the CIA or the FBI or nsa or even homeland are in fact shot callers.

just a hunch. five eyes is a simple word tossed around to describe cross border partnership in the surveillance state. Most of the actual operators are probably high level programmers and for OPSEC reasons would not be direct hires, but contractors.

I am not defending either Goldberg or Waltz. It seems Goldberg is not being clear. I have (not counting at a townhall ) spoken with 4 members of Congress and a senator. One of those members I was at invite only dinners -one for families of applicants accepted to a service academy and another with the same member of Congress where I was one of about 30 invited to give feedback from the community after Obamacare passed. I was invited by his main office manager in the district not DC) I can say I have met and spoken individually with them. I have pictures on my phone with them . I doubt any one of them would say they know me. I would expect Goldberg to say they exchanged phone numbers or something to that effect.
Also I did have a message group with our county women’s gop group. After several discussions one of the members who had been asking decent questions got real anti trump voter.
