Jeffrey Goldberg appearing on Meet the Press, says he has met and spoken to Mike Waltz and that Waltz’s ongoing denials to that end are “simply not true.” Goldberg notes his phone number was in Waltz’s phone simply because his phone number was in Waltz’s phone.
According to Jeffrey Goldberg, despite Waltz’s numerous denials, the National Security Advisor and journalist do know each other. WATCH:

It’s such a dumb lie.
Waltz has got to go… and with his security clearance REVOKED.
There are pictures of them together.
Posted on line, a few days ago.
..WITH DICK CHENNEY ?????
😂
I am sure TRUMP knows how to deal with The Judas named Mike Pence , pardon me, Mike Waltz this time around.
👍
Why did Trump appoint the uniparty Waltz? I am certain Trump did not come up with his name. Some mole in the Trump inner circle got Trump to appoint this CIA plant. Who? That is the person that needs to be destroyed.
Yes!
Nice pick you have there Suzie.
Suzie worked with Pam Blondie at the same Washington DC lobbyist firm!
If you have to deal with Trouble Makers, if you can’t avoid them, let implode at the beginning of any Project and use that as a rationale to sideline or marginalize them before the real work begins.
Suzy Wiles? Sundance knew that Waltz was not MAGA and said so at the time he was appointed. Why was he appointed? Whose idea was he? National Security Advisor is a White House staff position that does not require senate confirmation, so the position didn’t need a GOPe or RINO to get past the senate.
The president is still getting a lot of advice, advice he accepts and acts on, from a person or persons who oppose his agenda. Beyond personnel, the advice to keep funding Ukraine makes certain that that war will continue throughout his second term.
PDJT is either getting bad advice or he made a deal with someone to put Waltz in. He got something he needed for the favor, something that was more important to him than Waltz in an advisory role.
Col.Macgregor !!!!! Ritter !!!!!! real patriots not wishy/washy uniparty clowns….
If there was such a deal it was a bad one, because, as has been dramatically and painfully demonstrated over the last few days, Waltz is in a position to do a great deal of harm.
You don’t put a weak link on your frontline as a favor owed.
Trump put Waltz in for a reason
Trump also endorsed Mike Rogers in his Senate race againzst Alyssa Slotkin not long before Speaker Johnson evicted him from his HPSCI chairmanship
Trump endorsed Kevin McCarthy as Matt Gaetz bitch-slapped him right out of his speakership
Remember that Trump sent Nikki Haley to the UN to make way for Henry McMaster assuming the SC governor’s seat
Trusting Trump’s judgement (he earned it) frees me up to explore the dynamics underlying his strategy
Different Mike Rogers.
This notion that Trump is some god-like strategist who is never wrong is just creepy.
I’m sure Goldberg has tons of documented communications between himself and Waltz. He’s just baiting Waltz to grab the electric fence. I hope he does.
Grab the fence? ..nope … more preferable the Ren and Stimpy game of … don’t whiz on the electric fence.
There are many different degrees of “knowing” someone. I’d like to see some documentation of just HOW Gol;dberg “knows” Waltz. Seeing someone at a few cocktail parties where you “know” that someone enough to nod your head to acknowledge their presence doesn’t cut it for me. That reminds me of Facebook “Friends”.
Do you “know” someone if you’re introduced to them?
I have 5 friends on Facebook and am familiar with many people having 2 – 3 – 4 hundred friends.
I sure hope they did not know each other “in the Biblical sense.”
Why would Waltz deliberately destroy his own career, reputation and job in the White House for a Bolshevik like Goldberg?
Waltz sold his future and reputation very cheaply? Makes you wonder who is telling President Trump to push the 25% auto tariffs? Another two weeks to stop the spread time bomb!
LMAO Waltz’s bud gives him up.
Let’s watch how dude skulks off into the CIA Deep State.
There’s a seat being kept warm for Waltz at Lincoln Project.
Sometimes it pays to be a really intelligent well informed person. Cause then I can get jokes like that ;-D
Never go full Bushite..
We may need to have Cabinet selector Intervention..
This is embarrassing on so many levels for the Administration.
since my other comment is awaiting approval, here it is again
Never go full Bushite.
When do we have a Cabinet selector Intervention??
I’m not sure who’s less trustworthy.
Waltz of this Goldberg character.
So many lowlifes crawling around.
“I’m not sure who’s less trustworthy.”?
Let’s assume for a second that the Signal communication was classified.
Wouldn’t that mean the Jeffrey Goldberg was the only person that leaked classified information to the public?
I’ll just repeat what my Colonel told us. Whenever in an official meeting, assume it’s classified.
I would venture that something classified was discussed; it was a cabinet level meeting. And the security should have reflected that.
Someone is in denial…about his thinning hair. 🤣
Time to buzz it off, Jeffie.
Jeff should consider a combover, weave, or hair club for Democrat propagandists—so many options!
Maybe reposition his merkin. 😬
Waltz needs to step down. Trump can do better.
A soft landing is getting fluffed for Waltz..
Better than the prior slash, burn and make an enemy for life approach undertaken by #45.
Right. Otherwise they become a talking head on CNN.
This is the #1 goal.
Getting appointed by Trump, then getting kicked out in order to subsequently, repeatedly, and publicly discredit the very administration the person was a part of….the serve the “narrative”.
Although if Walz is truly uniparty, a soft landing won’t matter, he’ll be a talking head on CNN regardless. Will be funny when the same zombie news crowd that’s fully discredited Walz now as a fool and a liar will fully embrace him and his “integrity” once he turns. Confessing to “profound worries about Trump” is probably Walz’s only ticket back to the cocktail parties, so cue the countdown to Walz’s “soul-searching” arc once he’s gone.
A soft landing is getting fluffed for Waltz
Astute
Hmmm,…why does that make me think of the occupation of “fluffer”?
I had to look that up 🤦🏼♀️
Chris Plante often refers to the media as Democrat fluffers.
If there’s any good to come out of this, at least we quickly ID’d the blabby ones.
If the POTUS & CinC, Donald J. Trump deems it so, Waltz has one more chance to not foul up.
Otherwise…
Put LTG Mike Flynn in there, to right a lot of past wrongs.
Great idea!
Waltz has no deniable plausibility. It was just a flat out lie that he can’t evade. He has leaked and planned to continue to leak to Goldberg and Goldberg in all his gratitude, revealed Waltz completely. It’s ugly.
“Deniable plausibilty”
I kind of like that way of saying it.
Mike may have a future with the NY Times with that kind of verbal legerdamaine
But when you text somebody all their contacts get into your contacts somehow. Says the national security advisor.
Denial plausibility – is that like some stranger coming up to a person in a crowd and loudly ask ‘when was the last time you beat your wife?’ then walk off to leave the stranger standing there with all eyes upon him.
Because this is exactly what this ‘reporter’ is doing to Mike Waltz all the while pointing the symbolic finger at Pete Hegseth.
How are people not seeing this?
President Trump has photos of him with thousands of people, and if Mike Waltz and his wife have been D.C. denizens for any amount of time, so will they.
Funny. I believe Goldberg
Jeff’s playing his hand better than Waltz.
Sure, but it was always kind of obvious, right? They run in the same circles. Of course it would be provable that they “knew” each other somehow.
Well, this could be quite an example to fallen useful idiots.
Eventually they get taken down
-by other useful idiots.
Do what “we” want you to do
-or else.
Rubio, pay attention.
-Don’t fall for it.
Stay the course.
❓
Remember, whoever controls the narrative, wins
It does not seem that Walz is fit to serve as National Security Advisor. The sooner that Trump moves on from Walz, the better for Trump.
Mike Flynn is fit for the job.
Waltz. Walz is the clown governor of MN.
There is little distinction between the two from my recliner at this point..
Thank you, Sundance . . . as always! 🙂
I’m upset because not only is Walz lying about his connection to Goldberg, but he is connected to Goldberg at all. The special election is Tuesday to replace Walz and it is neck and neck in a district Trump won plus 30. The other house members chosen have not worked out either, Matt and Elise for different reasons.
Waltz.
Seems to me that Trump has taken out many of the permanent establishment (anti MAGA) RINO fixtures whom would have otherwise remained in place until eternity.
Waltz may get a golden parachute, but Trump removed him from play in his House seat.
The reporter is NOT the issue here.
A scumbag? Sure. Who isn’t in DC?
But the reporter is the flaw, not the FEATURE.
How he wound up on the chat is the FEATURE.
FOCUS!
He and his employer, The Atlantic, were elegantly hoodwinked … and that is all. They ran the story they were given.

And my big concern in that marital Union is Wong’s wife’s father.
I am also curious about Wong’s own parents, immigrated from China, no other info.
Improper vetting on the shoulders of Chief of Staff. Right Susie?
Wait and see. Too orchestrated. Too pat. Too stupid. Goldberg is a snake.
Why hasn’t President Trump fired Waltz?
There must be a reason well beyond my understanding. It can’t be, “just haven’t had time to get around to it”.
Waltz will resign feigning he did not want to be a distraction.
Flynn was forced to resign by Priebus. Their bag of tricks is shallow.
Because he doesn’t want to give the dims a scalp.
I understood that Goldberg held on to this story for just the appropriate time to make it public. Frankly, as an American, is this the route you would take for information you mistakenly heard that affected the US government? Would you publicize it or attempt to communicate such an ‘error’ to the proper authority? Would Goldberg have published his story, if, for example, the story was of the D Day operation in WW2? So, we certainly understand Goldberg’s motives….the question is what were Waltz’s…..
Yeah, Waltz never expected his buddy and confidant to drop the story that quickly. His desire was merely to “keep him in the loop” but not to spill the beans….which he gleefully did, thereby exposing Waltz’s duplicity. IMHO.
.
This is not aging well.
Granted, it’s early. But now we have to add Waltz to Bondi and Patel.
NSA, AG, and FBI
Patel? LOL
Jeez.
“Jeffrey Goldberg appearing on Meet the Press, says he has met and spoken to Mike Waltz…”
That is not what Goldberg said in the video. All Goldberg said was his name was on waltz phone list. And left the rest to the imagination of the Waltz haters. Who seem more than ready to fill in with whatever their proclivities might be.
Awesome weather today @ Gulfo de México. 100 degrees. A nice tropical breeze.
Gracias Dios.
President Trump Won!
Gulf of America.
FIFY
Gulf of America
Gulf of America!!! Bobo….
Two wongs don’t make a wight.
If those text messages truly were sensitive war plans and Goldberg released them to the public, where does that legally leave him?
Shouldn’t some kind of penalty be imposed on him?
Let’s ask Julian Assange….

Ethel and Julius Rosenberg.
I think its as he says,…when he got them, they were “Top secret” once the raid was completed and the airplanes were back in their hangers, its probably classified as SOP,( although why) and making any kind of a deal about him is a mistake.
Unless their is clear evidence that he used some kind of deception to get his name on the list.
JG is not a happy man. You’d think he would be all shivers getting all this publicity. I don’t buy it.
Maybe Waltz had JG phone number on his phone. Maybe MW called him back and said FO. Maybe MW is weak and actually talked with JG because JG was lying about something. Does anyone doubt this is all about taking down Trump and whoever else gets in the way?
I will reserve judgement until a technical explanation with an example is shown to us about how a number could be accidentally included in a chat. Has anyone ever gotten an email because the sender accidentally hit “reply to all” without knowing who is in the group? Is that possible in chats?
I don’t do “chats” so if anyone can recreate an example and show how this works, I would like to see that. In the meantime, at least MW took responsibility, which is unheard of in the swamp.
Maybe this has already been answered, if so, i missed it….Why was Goldberg a contact on the phone? If I was National Security Advisor, I’d want a phone that was dedicated to calls being made to other high ranking officials and that phone would be checked to ensure it was secure on a regular basis. Even then, I would add people to the call manually based on ntk. groups are typically named. push a button, name of group comes up, good to go.. You probably don’t check the names in the group.. could someone add a name to that group without you knowing?
DJT won’t give them a scalp I am sure…but Waltz is now on the outside looking in…probably won’t be in the deal anymore and at some point by end of summer resign…but no one can possibly trust him…
Maybe move Watlz to the U.N.
I admit that crossed my mind, too, since Stefanik graciously agreed to withdraw her name because we need her vote.
Great idea. Don’t fire him, “promote” him out of the job.
Waltz has to go immediately. He’s not MAGA, but very much deep state. The overarching narrative of both Trump administrations is the struggle between a thrice elected president and the deep state that actually determines U.S. foreign policy and has done so for over 20 years. Who is going to win that struggle? The deep state is still the way to bet..
Viewed through that prism, Waltz is an enemy spy and agent provocateur in the heart of the Trump Administration. He was a terrible choice for the job, and whoever told Trump he would work in that position (Suzy Wiles?) also needs to go.
Wasn’t Goldberg’s mother Lucianne the woman who advised Linda Tripp to tape record Monica Lewinsky?
The apple does not fall too far from the Judas tree. Mama taught him betrayal techniques well.
No. She’s the mother of Jonah Goldberg.
Lucianne was the mother of Jonah Goldberg
Two corrupt people both are liars typical of government inept people. Goldberg is a disgusting idiot with TDS. Waltz typical politician.
Just put Waltz in a windowless basement office until he resigns.
If Goldberg were not a disgusting POS he would have excused himself. He couldn’t wait to put his ugly disgusting self out there.
Appearing on the CIAs house organ. Sure Jeff. Whatever you say Jeff, w/o back up.
The NPR lady could have set this up since she’s on the board of Signal and a State Dept board
Mike Waltz is done! Stick a fork in him. 47 is just waiting for the right opportunity to say man overboard.
Yep, regardless some things can’t be fixed
It doesn’t matter at this point Waltz has to just go ahead do the right thing and leave.
Agreed!
I am so sick and tired of bad Trump appointments….
….from his cabinet to his SCOTUS picks.
Sessions, Barr, Blondi, Patel, Barrett, Waltz, Chris f’n Wray….
(sigh)
Perhaps VSGPDJT… should employ (or least be there when he do job interview -graphologist and professional body/facial reader……way to many appt..turn to be big disappointments….this is a fight for new CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC..clowns should not apply….. enough of this games…
I think this is bye bye Waltz . He never looked like he was telling the truth anyways … just always looked like he hoped everyone believed what he said ..
His got look about him that untrustworthy look.
I didn’t trust him from the get go…
He’s got that look about him that untrustworthy look.
I didn’t trust him from the get go…
..looked like…. 30 pence ???
I clearly sensed that Laura Ingraham did not believe him. She was as aggressive as allowed by polite television interview standards in forcing the issue of the contact being in his phone.
I doubt that the audience accepted his awkward, incomplete explanations.
I think he is now off the Trump island, and he will disappear in time.
Said that to my wife the day it happened…..
Waltz always tried to act as if he was not a Rino. Unfortunately he has pilfered from us being a part of the political machine.
Zero confidence in Waltz! I hope we are not having this conversation regarding Kash at the FBI.
Never trusted anybody from the CIA, just another snake waiting to bite.
Saw the “tell” in his eyes during Laura Ingraham interview
Peggy Tierney wrote an essay on Signalgate. Her thesis, which in my limited study of the subject, appears to be the only perspective of its kind, is that Trump arranged this as a set-up to expose any and all deep state traitors. She believes Goldberg to be CIA, hence the reason he was on the call to begin with. The second reason for this set up was to get rid of the Signal App itself.
If it turns out that Mike Waltz was involved with leaking to the media, he well deserves to be exposed and dealt with by Trump. Time will tell. If he is replaced, we can conclude Trump arranged this set-up to have evidence and the reason for ditching him, even if he does not need a public reason for doing so. (We know whatever his reason would be, it would make it to the public anyway).
Also, it is possible that Trump and his team could have gotten rid of the Signal App without the exposure which at first made it appear that his administration didn’t know what they were doing.
In point of fact, a retired Naval officer and someone who understands the classification system (Jennifer E. Dyer) wrote a post on this and explained that the entire event was a “nothingburger” in terms of any kind of security lapse.
https://theoptimisticconservative.wordpress.com/2025/03/27/toc-ready-room-27-march-2025-signalgate-a-little-slice-and-dice-on-jeff-and-mikes-excellent-adventure/
I have not read anyone else who is suggesting the thesis that Peggy Tierney proposed, but it seems to me it’s the best explanation for this whole non-event with which the uniparty believed they could destroy Trump.
Yes, curiously Trump threw out the suggestion at one the reporters asking
He responded perhaps the app is defective.
Mike Robinson, a commenter here at CTH, has been steadily and confidently asserting this was a DJT “Op”, and I know at least one guy, I can’t recall who, suggested it early on.
I ain’t buying it. There are 50 ways DJT could have conducted a leak trap of his inner circle, without the public embarrasment, being forced into defence mofe, and losing the drive on the narrative.
This does have all the hallmarks of a deep state op, causing distrust in what was a very tight knit and focused Team Trump, causing PDJT to doubt his team, they to doubt each other, and his supporters to doubt his picks.
Hopefully, Team Trump will buckle down, redouble their efforts, head on a swivel being reminded that almost everyone they interact with in DC wants them dead.
Its not a fatal blow, and perhaps the improved opsec which will inevitable result from this, means that far more serious plans, down the road are kept from prying eyes.
I just don’t think we, on the outside, have enough info. to call for anyones resignation, not without more info we are unlikely to get, such as WAS it an I/C op, to hurt DJT?
If you’re going to accuse a fellow Treeper of something it would be proper to attach that accusation to a comment they have already made. Many (most?) Treepers get an email notification when someone responds to their comment. Many of us go back and look from time to time if we think a comment we made might bring numerous responses so we can address them.
This is a cheap shot. “Mike Robinson” should be able to defend himself.
Think about it.
I don’t get an email notification these days – I used to back in the day. Am I set up wrong??
If their name isnt President Donald John Trump?
They are not to be trusted.
Not a single one. IMHO.
I stick to this, no matter who says what. Or does what.
I think perhaps Goldberg’s number was somehow hacked into the chat group on Signal. If Mike Waltz saw the initials JG it was probably for Jameson Greer, a trade advisor, but the “hacker” overrode the number to Goldberg instead of Greer. Simple techno trick and with so many leaks, hacks and cyber intrusions would be in the realm of possibilities.

Good idea to reserve judgment until more is known. PDJT already said nobody is getting fired, the mission was a success, it is a witch hunt for the press. He is definitely aware of more than the public knows at this point.
Once a person lies, you can expect it again.
best practice: Have nothing to do with liars! He needs to go
