Catherine Herridge has a zeal for her profession as a true journalist as defined in a dictionary. Although the way things are going with changing the meaning of words, that change is probably not too far away to correspond with the dreck that the modern educational system is turning out.
I have personal experience with students majoring in journalism after meeting and being interviewed by a Fulbright scholar from Columbia in NH during the 2016 Primary season. As a HRC fan, she did not see anything wrong with manipulating her reporting to reflect personal bias.

Every elected official should also have to submit a full financial report of personal and ‘other’ financial endeavors such as tax shelters, off-shore accounts, non-profits, etc. They should not be allowed to get money from lobbyists, foreign governments or other corporate interests and then vote to enrich those interests.
Corporations, such as pharmaceutical companies, food manufacturers should also have to report and get approval before donating money to federal agencies such as FDA, NIH, EPA to the FAFO.

Repairing the FBI and CIA is, and will be, a tricky surgery. Like rebuilding a car engine while it’s running and moving the car down the road.
This will be an unpopular opinion here, but both the FBI and CIA do conduct some legitimate operations against actual bad guys, and do have *some* good guys left. Abolishing it outright would be making a bad situation into a real disaster. Let’s not forget the FBI whistleblowers in the Biden era, or Mike Rogers going to Trump to warn him he’d been surveilled illegally. The Comeys, Stryzks and McCabes would like you to believe their ilk are totally, 100% of the FBI, but they’re liars.
As a retired fed with some actual knowledge of the matter, I’d estimate the FBI is comprised of perhaps 60% “good guys”. Not exactly confidence inspiring, but enough that firing them all, which sounds good, isn’t realistically possible. Some really bad actors, in the complete absence of FBI, would have a field day in that case, and President Trump would get the blame.
The “good guys” are the whistleblowers such as Steve Friend. Steve said those arresting J6rs, school board moms, and Catholics *know* what they are doing is wrong but like the paycheck. That is not “good.” I say slowly fire each and every one of them.

Since you have some knowledge of the matter, how do we split out the 60% and eliminate the other 40%? Especially since the low whistleblower rate and the low voluntary turnover rate argue that almost all the FBI are content to keep getting a paycheck from a totally inept organization. Can we assume that every agent who has been stationed in D.C. and gone through that indoctrination program is NOT a good guy?

1) Elect at least a generation of conservative supermajorities in both chambers of congress. They have to be supermajorities because parliamentary rules allow for political minority actions to stop simple majority legislation.
2) We will have to elect a string of conservative presidents to work with the conservative congresses. We can’t have activist presidents who govern by executive actions in order to bypass congress.
3) True constitutionalists must be nominated and approved to the Supreme Court.
4) Conservatives will have to control at least 37 state legislatures, because sooner or later we will need to make constitutional amendments.

After listening to Musk and his team the other day I’m not even sure folks within the agency know what they are doing. How effed up is our government?
