American Oversight is a left-wing Lawfare outlet who sue President Trump while sipping coffee daily. This time they are suing the administration to force govt preservation of the Signal app ‘non-classified’ chat messages that have already been published to the public.
The lawsuit issue is made moot by the Atlantic publication of the chat. But I’m sure Boasberg will find a way to affirm the lawsuit and assign attorney fee damages to the Lawfare plaintiff.

HOWEVER ..there are things Congress could do. A few options are currently on the table:
1) I like Rep Issa’s bill the No Rogue Judges Act which would eliminate national jurisdiction –judge rulings would be limited to a particular case within their distriction, no national level rulings.
2) Senator Mike Lee has another approach he’s teeing up which I am not sure whether I like or not. The bill would have SC Justice Roberts appoint 3 judges to rule on any cases affecting the Executive Branch. Don’t trust Roberts based on fact he was the one who appointed Boasberg to the FISA court.
3) Mike Johnson has been talking about the option of defunding the lower courts. Congress holds the purse strings.
In order to pass any of the above bills, we have to get them thru the Senate. Perhaps they could be folded into the Reconciliation package …We get one or maybe two reconciliation bills a term where a simple majority in the Senate is all that is needed. President Trump is relying on this to get his agenda and executive orders codified into law in one bil Reconciliation bill, without any Dem support.
Sundance has already said screw the Senate limitation, use the House to grill that beggar, put the pain of the process on the other jackboot, and interrogate him on specific subjects that will destroy Lawfare.

The letter should quote, word for word, CJ Roberts’ assertion that, “For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.”
Then, point out that “for two centuries until January 2017, then a brief pause from January 2021-January 2025, it has not been established precedent for the inferior courts to issue dozens of nationwide injunctions meant to stop the Executive Branch from carrying out its electoral mandate”. List all the injunctions and compare them against the last 5 Administrations. “I am concerned that your word “established” is being misused or you do not fully understand the gravity of what is taking place.”
“The Framers never intended that the inferior courts, or even the Supreme Court, should carry veto power of this magnitude over either of the other two co-equal branches of government. A Supreme Court so fond of precedent should not only be concerned about the unprecedented overreach by Federal District and Appellate Court justices, but actively do something to thwart these undemocratic attempts by the Judiciary to rule over the American People.”
Then list all of the left-wing lawsuits that have been filed, and the curious assignment of judges in the DC Circuit to rabidly anti-Trump judges like Chutkan and Biasberg. The latter of these two issued a wrist slap punishment against a laywer who submitted a knowingly false Title 1 FISA warrant to the FISC that Biasberg oversees. These are issues of judicial overreach and excessive behavior by unelected judges that are not acceptable in a democracy. Although he handed out wrist slaps to anti-Trump lawyers and he and the DC Circuit have been handing out nationwide injunctions like Easter Candy, this judge sentenced Americans to harsh prison terms for exercising their First Amendment right to free speech and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
“Judge Roberts, the Federal Courts are out of control, and you seem unwilling and unable to stop this assault on the democratic process by activist lawyers acting through activist judges to enforce IDEOLOGICAL canon. I, not you, won 80M+ votes last Fall. It is not for the Court to decide whether every action the Executive Branch takes is subject to the approval of a low-level district judge, and it is questionable at best whether the Supreme Court still possesses the legal and moral authority having dumped 200 years of precedent into the Potomac River. It is not a secret in Washington D.C. that you maintain a personal friendship with Judge James Boasberg, and I question whether you are compromised in your ability to remain unbiased about the actions of this – or any other – Federal district court judge.”

Look, we ended up with this Court problem when SCOTUS seized power 200 years ago.
Roberts WOULD very much care. Equally important: so would the other justices. The court has no actual power. It doesn’t control its own budget. It doesn’t appoint judges. It doesn’t raise taxes or armies. It barely has the power to arrest people, largely requiring the consent and support of the Executive Branch.
Trust me, a well thought out letter from POTUS to SCOTUS putting them in their place would send shockwaves through Washington. We only have this rule by judicial fiat because the other two branches allow it. A letter from POTUS is a warning that they are one branch away from having their powers dramatically reduced.
It is imperative that Congress start sending subpoenas to the judges.

I notice that the flyer including in the linked article makes no mention of the Constitution and the judicial principles and legal frameworks included in the Constitution. The flyer does mention ethics which raises the question “what or whose ethics?” Not recusing yourself when your family has links to cases or refusing to allow changes of venue or allowing yourself to become a pawn of the DNC through judge-shopping or failing to faithfully pronounce an adequate sentence in a case of fraud on the FISA court form a set of ethics antithetical to the tenets of the Constitution.
