Yesterday, being the Third Sunday of Great Lent, the Veneration of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross was observed. The Greek Orthodox Faithful in the USA includes some, such as this Archbishop, who use the New Calendar since 1924, and other Faithful who still use the Patristic Calendar (the “Old” Calendar) since the First Œcumenical Synod of Nicæa in 325. The Old Calendar Faithful lean toward more conservative, traditional practice.
The term “Istanbul” is a sort of variation of several words that refer to Constantinople as the Queen of Cities, as the City, during the time of the Roman Empire. (Sir Steven Runciman and Dr. Constantine Cavarnos explain it better than I do.)
This Archbishop and the Œcumenical Patriarch of Constantinople have been viewed by many as being involved in the internal life of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine in an unbefitting manner in recent years. There is a lot about that issue and it is very complicated.

“He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” is one of the eighteen times in the New Testament where the Bible quotes directly from Psalm 110:1, wherein that Psalm, David goes further to indicate that our Lord and King will remain seated “until all His enemies are placed beneath His feet.”
As our conquering King remains seated with His Father, this reveals an eschatology of God’s sure victory over the rulers of darkness, before His bodily return, as the fulfillment of the Great Commission takes hold over all the nations. (See Matthew 28:18-20…. “All authority is Mine, in Heaven and on the Earth; therefore go, disciple the nations….”)
Read Psalm 110:1 and follow it all the way through everywhere it is repeated in the New Testament. When one does, it will give them a clear picture of God’s eternal plan on this side of His coming judgment.

IMO, God is revealing a lot of material and knowledge in these last days to us. The Shroud to me is magnificent.
So many new ways of testing have shown evidence this is the true shroud of Jesus, tests that were unavailable to us until this present time. The way the image of the body was transferred to the fabric of the shroud, even now cannot be reproduced by science.
It seems it was a very fast flash of energy/light, a tiny fraction of a second. There is evidence that the body in the tomb, was moving under the shroud, when the Resurrection took place with that flash of energy.
There is also blood work done. None of the more sophisticated tests done more recently were even available during the tests done 40 – 50 years ago. The technology just was not there.

Hi JWoo, I see so many (and look up but don’t post causes of death that are not in the write ups already) early deaths that I attribute to being “on the road again”. Sex, drugs and alcohol & the like that are used to take your mind off those adrenaline highs from being on stage to a throng of people.
Certainly I am not fond of the things people do when they recognize me across a parking lot or going in/out of the store for either being a “singer in a (karaoke) band” or I make them a pizza regularly<shrug>. Hard to imagine if you are known worldwide for whatever you do be it famous or infamous.
Like the paranoia of Michael Jackson & his “disguises” which made him stand out even more. There are plenty of known people in & out of this town on a regular basis, some I have had to be told who they are as they look nothing like what they do “on screen” in makeup. Others, I don’t care what they do, only way I know is that they are staying in the most exclusive place in town & pay with a thick black credit card that a tank could drive over & be OK. A few walk in the front door for a pickup but usually just one of their ?kids? & there is never a name that comes up on the transaction for the card or a biz/LLC.
I only wish I knew or recognized some of them for advertising purposes only to get a photo to put on the wall that …so & so ate/eats here. I do admit there are a few I would like to talk to tho past just asking for a selfie but a lot of those are dying off quickly if not already gone.<sigh>

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thought I would share – we just saw David Crowder in concert with TobyMac and others – here in Central Indiana. He gets into some pretty groovy tunes and when they get a little “busy” sounding… he calls it “getting swampy”.

All of us hope (and pray) that our prayers will be answered, and indeed scripture assures us in the prayers of King David, namely – Psalm 145:18 “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth”. However if we read all of the Psalms, often David is begging, almost frantic that his prayers appear to be taking their time being answered for example psalm 70:1-5 “Make haste, O God, to deliver me; …………” and this sentiment appears numerous times. So what is going on when even His anointed David seems to be wobbling. The answer of course is that we assume that our particular request, even the most truthful, and perhaps even logical (to us) is very possibly not in sync with the great unknowable timeline and purpose of God’s infinitely complex order where every dot, comma, space, letter, word, sentence and action IS part of His perfection. So EVERY prayer of truth Will be answered, but in His timeline and purpose. This is the greatest test of faith (for us) that no matter what, every honest prayer counts, and will be delivered for consideration. There is a reason and lesson that the last few Psalms are all Praise and thanksgiving – (prayers answered)

Prayer Of Thanksgiving In The Evening
Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful night’s sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. Guard all those that I love and may we all grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in the days that lie ahead. This I ask in His precious name,

“How do they know the animals are trans? Do they wear that garish light-blue eyeshadow and run around in little Freddy Mercury mustaches?”

By castrating males and giving the female mice little mousey hysterectomies!
Then they overdosed the little “trans” mousies with date-rape drug GHB, ostensibly to study how trans boys and girls will react to getting their drinks spiked out at the nightclubs.

ANOTHER VICTORY: Trump Admin Cancels NIH Grant to Turn Animals Transgender and Overdose Them on GHB
The Trump administration has cancelled another wasteful National Institutes of Health grant to study overdoses of a party drug (GHB) by transgender people.
The $1,155,503 grant, uncovered by taxpayer watchdog White Coat Waste … gave $1,155,503 to the University of the Pacific to castrate male rats and inject them with estrogen, remove female rats’ ovaries and inject them with testosterone, and then overdose them with GHB to “evaluate the potential for altered toxicity/overdose risk in transgender men and women.”
The grant was part of the NIH’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program.
On March 21, the Trump NIH cut funding to this grant, which was scheduled to run until March 31 and could potentially have been extended.
Anthony Bellotti, president and founder of White Coat Waste Project, said in a statement provided to Gateway Pundit, “This is a great victory for taxpayers and animals. We’re proud that our blockbuster investigation has prompted the Trump Administration to slash millions in DEI funds and other wasteful spending earmarked for creating transgender lab animals through sterilization, hormone therapies, and invasive surgeries and then subjecting them to drug overdoses, open wounds, electroshocks, and other painful and deadly experiments. Despite the mainstream media’s shameful misinformation campaign, transgender animal experiments are real—and really wasteful. The solution is simple: Stop the money. Stop the madness!”
Sen. Joni Ernst, Senate DOGE Caucus Chair, added, “Since last year, I’ve exposed how the Biden administration got caught in the woke mousetrap and wasted millions of tax dollars on transgender animal experiments. I’m grateful that President Trump and DOGE are eliminating this wacky pseudoscience. Together, we are ending the silly science and ensuring that all studies funded by tax dollars are squeaky clean.”

Teacher Enoch Burke respectfully refused to use invented pronouns for a student who claimed to be transgender. Since he was teaching at a Christian school, the young Irishman believed that his Christian belief that there are only two sexes would be respected. He was wrong.
The Church of Ireland has been silent as the Irish courts railroad Burke for his beliefs. And according to Burke, schools across Ireland are sexualizing children and demanding fidelity to the religion of wokeness.
Today is the feast of the Annunciation (Luke 1:26ff), when Mary agreed to be Christ’s mother and God became man, and we ought to pray for the revival of Christianity in Ireland and America.
