Now we know why they had access. It is because they have a backdoor to enter the chat. This is possible when you ghost an account. I know this previously being one of the worlds most notorious decryptors.
Seriously. I read the headline and thought “DUH the CIA installed it”.
You have piqued my interest…”I know this previously being one of the worlds most notorious decryptors.” Well, spill the beans.
Gee, what could go wrong with a CIA approved “permissible” tool for encrypted communication?
Some organization with requisite authority and expertise has to certify it.
Who would you suggest?
I’m not quibbling with the inference that this is somehow a CIA op. I’m asking who performs the deep level analysis – against requirements – to certify infrastructure used by DoD and IC that involves crypto? In my experience for DoD this has always been NSA.
HOW many of the Biden/Harris administration REFUSED to comply with Congress?
HOW many were found “in contempt of Congress” and that’s as far as anything went?
Trump has been in office TWO MONTHS and the corruption used against him is nonstop…AGAIN.
Zombies are inside the wire…
Yep. Affix bayonets..
Rooftop Koreans.
Everybody Knows!
At 2:59 Warner states, “If it’s not classified, share the text with the committee.”
Part of what SD said in a previous post was going to happen with this entire setup. We’ve seen this IC play before.
IMO he already knew the content of the text when he made that statement.
I’m sure you are correct.
A horse’s ass should be planted in Warner’s bed, because he is Not Worthy of the Horse’s Head!!??
I’d be shocked if he did not.
And since it’s apparently possible for there to be a “back door” into the app…..
Who *ELSE* was watching it unfold in real time?
It is not even remotely logical that the CIA would arrange for that reporter to be in on the chat without *MULTIPLE* other people in the IC watching it in real time…….and possibly giving instructions/suggestions to the reporter on how best to weaponize this event.
No way they just dropped him in without some sort of oversight.
No way.
Why would a reporter be using the Signal app anyway?
“CIA Director John Ratcliffe outlines how the Signal App is a CIA approved “permissible” tool for encrypted communication, and the app was pre-loaded onto his devices by CIA personnel. ”
Yes the Deep State Clowns In Action approved and installed the apps on everybody’s phones. I suspect everyone in the administration knows this, and knows enough not to use it for anything they truly want to keep from said Clowns.
None of it matters when staffers are too lazy or incompetent to check who is added to a message list, which I still believe was intentional.
Out of all Signal users, what are the chances of a hoaxing hack like Goldberg being inadvertently added to a message list involving a number of top admin officials?
Time to fire some people Director Radcliffe.
…..also, time for a DEEP investigation into whoever did add the reporter’s phone number.
Investigate all of this person’s electronic devices, personal movements, and contacts.
This was a planned piece of business.
Why would Our Team use anything the subhumans that were at the helm prior were using? They can’t be that lazy. This was Spook “approved” but was it “recommended”??
It’s too bad the world couldn’t hold secret meetings before Signal. Such a shame.
In the book smoke and signals, by chief light my fire, a chapter is devoted to how smoke signals can be encrypted and decoded.
Each signal represents a number
0 or 1..
Black smoke is one, white smoke is 0.
The signals are sent in pairs of two like a hex code.
Each code sent reoresents a unique tribe word.
The book is currently out of print and there is only one known copy of which I own.😀
If I can’t get to sleep I may send a few smoke signals..
Maybe hire some WindTalkers. Apparently the Japanese were vexed for the entire war by these folks.
Sometimes the old ways are the best.
My assumption would be, “anything that has ‘IC, Alphabet attached to it” needs to be avoided, Period. No disrespect to Gabbard, Ratcliff, or their team, but the only one, one can truly trust is oneself, any extension of this fact is always a potential liability.
Ratcliff should have followed Tulsi’s example and kept his mouth shut… it is under investigation… I have no more to say at this point…
I guess the screencap says it all.
I have a major problem with this. Radcliffe, a seasoned administrator was wholly introduced to the evils of the CIA during Trumps first term and, then, ensconced as the new director of the CIA ( knowing what these weasels are capable of) permits a CIA schmuck to install a commercially popular app on his phone for official use. I’m sorry but the naïveté is stunning. This is so wrong.
All these people are DC people so none of them should be trusted in the first place so none of this surprises me. And I mean ALL. You can’t call it a mistake or “I didn’t know”. They all know. Some may know more than others but they all know how they work. They’ve been around it enough.
It’s hard to get to the truth when everybody is lying.
Eventually we just give up in lieu of tomrrow’s news.
LRR.
If the CIA is installing the app on people’s phones, tablets and computers it is NOT secure!
Does he not realize how stupid he sounds? CIA staffer installed it and told him it’s approved?! That alone was a reason to issue the order that it’s NOT approved and must be removed immediately, including from his own devices. 🙄. 🤦♀️
The CIA would never approve a encyphering program they could not decode. It is against their nature.
Ratcliffe is not cunning enough to be the head of the CIA. Pre populated apps by professional liars is a big no no. He’s just a big goof in my mind and needs to ALWAYS be suspicious of everything CIA and tie them down to one specific function.
This is when the noose shows up and it’s not racist .
the CIA cant stop their dirty tricks.Fire the person who added the ”journalist” (CIA asset) to the conversation. The CEO rely on the staff.Dont care if it was a ”mstake” or not fire the person and don’t get sidetracked. The CIA and FBI will have to be restructured .Its them or the American people.
Installed by CIA personnel? That’s would be my first clue of something amiss….this is laughable.
Why would the CIA be involved with installing anything domestically?
How did the reporter get the app to begin with so that it was possible for him to be added to chat
They should have all been meeting in person, then this would not have happened! Just meet in person!
This sort of doubletalk is obviously intended to make the body of the message appear plausible, to those who don’t bother to think deeper. They wanted to deliver a story to The Atlantic, knowing that the publication would immediately run with it. And, that is what happened.
But, the staff who is responsible for providing The President’s Cabinet with totally-secure communications do not “make mistakes” like this. And, they don’t use civilian-grade crypto. They are dealing with top secrets. Their only job is to provide absolutely-secure, “but you don’t have to think about it,” communications. Anywhere, anytime. And they are very good at it.
The journalist was wired-in “unintentionally?” Uhh, no. 🤡
