And I don’t recall Senator Rand Paul (any senator) ever calling in Dr. Grady to testify under oath.

This is a great one hour interview with Harriet Hageman. She covers everything from rigged elections, cattle ranchers, massive money laundering in DC, Liz Cheney and sooooo much more. Her genuine care for this country’s citizens is what drives her. I had no idea that she spent two years working with the RNC to try and get a fair outcome in the 2024 election. Obviously a lot more work must be done on that front but at least she was/is addressing the issue, unlike the majority of her colleagues.

Concerning Russia: some quick background.
It has been true for over 300 years that a national “inferiority complex” has afflicted Russia, in that the country remained in the Middle Ages, while Western Europe underwent social, political, religious, and technological revolutions beginning roughly c. 1400, which were accelerated after 1450 by the printing press. We know these events as the beginning of our Modern Era: the Age of Explorations, the Protestant Reformation, Catholic Counter-Reformation, the Renaissance, the Age of Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, etc.
Another aspect of Russian History must never be forgotten: its Christian and political heritage came from the Byzantine Empire, which was the eastern half of the Roman Empire, and always saw itself as the only legitimate protector of Christianity. The collapse of the western half was interpreted as divine retribution for the heretical and barbarous Christians there, who – in the view of the Byzantine Greeks – had no legitimacy either politically or theologically.
Surrounded and outnumbered by barbarians, the Byzantine Greeks were forced to become experts in using diplomacy to keep their enemies off balance: e.g. bribing Enemy A to attack Enemy B, and – one which the Russians under Communism followed all the time – signing treaties which they had no intention of following. This technique worked fairly well for centuries, but had its limits.
After the Turks, with the help of Venetian cannons, obliterated the last remnants of the Byzantine Empire in 1453, twenty years later the Russian Czar Ivan III married the Byzantine princess Sophia Paleologus, and they began the quest to make Moscow “the third Rome,” i.e. the protector of true Christianity against heathens and heretics. In his time, that meant unifying the assorted Slavic groups into one nation. This was the beginning of Russia seeing itself as the superior protector of “the little Slavs,” i.e. Ukrainians, Ruthenians, Byelorussians, and all Slavic-language cousins.
Yet this feeling of superiority came into conflict with a feeling of inferiority. For Russia had largely stood still during the technological and intellectual advancements in Western Europe, until Czar Peter the Great, in the early 1700’s, after visiting Western Europe, decided that his country had to start matching the advances there and match them quickly. Importing highly skilled Germans and other Western Europeans into Russia became one way for Russia to make up for lost time.
For Russian aristocrats, the effect of this push to modernize quickly was striking, as many of them became Francophiles or Germanophiles, with the curiosity that some spent more time abroad than in Russia. They would return to Russia only a few times a year, as one of my professors termed it, “in order to beat and terrorize their peasants” to keep the income flowing to support their lives abroad. Some returned to Russia to practice their second language, Russian, as French had become their natural language.
And so, for the majority, especially the peasants, the push to modernize Russia failed, as most remained uneducated and stuck in the Middle Ages. One example: in The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky, a peasant, who is a witness at a trial, is asked by a lawyer, whether he knows what year it is. Sadly, the peasant cannot answer.
We know that the incompetence of the czarist governments and the overweening arrogance of the aristocrats helped the Communists to gain power in 1917 and afterward. Nevertheless, the “inferiority complex” was still in place, and under Communism, the push to modernize and “catch up with the West” continued, but with massive brutality, mass executions, mass graves, and the spread of a certain paranoia, that Russia was being sabotaged by Jews, by capitalists, and by the West in general.
The anti-Jewish sentiment was strong under the czars, and the Communists expanded the jealousy to include anyone successful or above average, which simply meant, of course, that they either oppressed or killed the very people who could have helped Russia to become a modern country.
The idea of being the protector of Christianity was transferred to being the protector of Communism: “Socialist heroes” became the new saints, and a pseudo-hagiography of Communist martyrs was quickly established in an attempt to replace Christianity with Marxism. Much of this is now gone, but not completely: one notes the refusal to undergo any kind of Nuremberg Trials after Communism fell, the refusal to examine the mass graves throughout Siberia, etc. One even notes attempts to rehabilitate Stalin.
The jealousy and suspicion of the West was fed by both the invasions of Napoleon and Hitler, which simply verified the Russian belief that the Western Europeans, along with their cousins in America, wanted Russia to be beaten down and be a second-or-third-rate country.
Thus espionage of all kinds, and especially the theft of technology, have been seen as legitimate ways to counterbalance the malign efforts of The West to keep Russia inferior.
With those things in mind, we can better understand the intentions and cautious suspicion of Mr. Putin, whose roots sprouted in the KGB. Russian diplomacy remains rooted in those Byzantine negotiators in the Middle Ages: a sense of superiority curiously accompanied by a sense of inferiority, both feelings supporting the idea that treaties are for keeping Russia’s enemies at a disadvantage, and that Russia does not necessarily need to follow any treaty or agreement it signs.
One last idea, only indirectly related, but something which I have pondered for decades. A Russian, who had escaped from Communism earlier in the 20th century, once told me that babies in Russia are always tightly swaddled, mainly to keep them warm, but any movement of their limbs is severely restricted. He wondered whether this binding of the body created a sense in the Russian psyche that freedom, in this case freedom of movement, was somehow wrong or even dangerous.
“But how could it be wrong, if it is your own mother tightening the blankets around you?”
And never forget that the image of the country is…Mother Russia!
Thus, said my acquaintance, it is possible that Russians mistrust Freedom, and think Security, even a security at the cost of freedom, is primary in Life.

None of what you are saying had any impact on the Eastern front. The fact is, after the first few months, Germany, who wasn’t on a war footing, simply didn’t have the resources to feed into the enlarging meat grinder.

This suggests to me that “The Donald” is in possession of “ the goods”.
And, “the Donald” can very simply declare that he is “the President,” and unequivocally vested with certain powers under Article 2 which he is now exercising. Furthermore, Article 3 never granted the Judiciary any power of “review.” The word, “unconstitutional,” does not appear in the Constitution at all.
Just as Jackson did, and just as Lincoln did, he can and should simply say: “They have made their ruling, now let them enforce it.”
Thomas Jefferson warned that the Judiciary would seek to consolidate power “surreptitiously.” We cannot now ask even the Supreme Court to rein in “the Judiciary.” Being members of that Branch, they never will. But, all they can do is to issue “injunctions” and “rulings” and demand that they be obeyed. But, the President, like the Congress, does not have to. And, in this case, explicitly should not.
The American people voted against Boasberg and the rest of the privileged, entitled lunatic left that have been destroying our country. At minimum they expect us to let them run out the clock with corrupt legal rulings, stealing from the public precious months of the executive we voted for. Justice delayed is justice denied, and we don’t have time to play patty-cakes with an entrenched bureaucracy that has raised itself to be sovereign. Many judges should be impeached, but more quickly Congress should also act to clarify that our country will not be ruled by a corrupt Committee of 400. The Supreme Court makes itself irrelevant if it wants to sit back and let the court’s radical left steal our opportunity to see policies counter to theirs enacted.
Throw out ALL the illegals (no “path” right back in) the H1Bs (as was promised long ago) and stop chain immigration and diversity visas, put a strict quota on F1 student visas, and any ‘housing shortage’ goes poof!
This isn’t really about a housing shortage though. This is about fulfilling a globalist goal under false pretenses.

The problem isn’t that suddenly we don’t have enough houses. I live in Ohio, where over 25% of houses sold go to predatory Wall Street buyers. These places with deep pockets advertise on TV and radio like crazy, wanting to buy rentals, fixers, and estates for quick cash offers with no inspection — and taking all the affordable houses before they can make it to the open MLS market. I see the housing sales stats in the local paper every Sunday, and most of the houses selling for well under $100K are being sold to an LLC, and were never listed.
Two years ago, JD Vance and Sherrod Brown, our then-Senators, were speaking out about it as a major obstacle keeping working class buyers in Ohio from home ownership. Brown (to his credit) tried passing legislation to put restrictions on these companies (many originating out of state, or even out of the US) but for some weird reason, Vance was passive about joining in, even though he agreed. (Hello?) And an Ohio state rep tried to pass legislation, but couldn’t get enough support.
I’d like to hear Vance speak up more about it NOW, as the problem is still here. (I have been house hunting for a number of years, and ever since covid, the market has been terrible. Overpriced, little inventory, and even sheriff auctions have opening bids jacked up too high because they readjusted the appraised values in the middle of the real estate spike.) I agree that the answer is NOT to build a bunch of 15 minute cities, or build more so-called “affordable” housing that no one can comfortably afford. We need the price of houses to go back DOWN to pre-covid levels, just like we needed the price of eggs and gas to go down. I am praying that PT, JD, or SOMEONE in office gets that, and somehow helps make it happen.
