What a week this has been! But the dust is far from settling if I may surmise. A friend of 36 years may or may not want to associate with me in the future because I said I voted for Trump, because now they question my “values.” I’m still trying to figure that one out. LOVE HURTS me days.

While waking up in the morning after this conversation, I had tears in my eyes, and my kitty Juno came up upon my bed and licked the tears from my eyes. Can’t make this up. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It is a very very difficult thing to deal with. I have also lost some long time friends in recent years. And I have listened to others recount the shock they feel to have many decades of close, intimate experiences destroyed by the latest version of fanatasism. It’s hard to fathom.
Last year I went to a wedding out of state. First time the family had been together in ages. I watched my brother come completely totally unhinged with hatred, ranting about some unnamed ‘corporations’ — it was incredible to watch. Anyone who has lost a loved one to this insanity can just marvel at it all.
It helps – somewhat – to read about cults and how they take control of a person’s mind and soul. I have read a lot about cults. I still do not have a single piece of practical advice about how to deal with someone who has been hypnotized by one, but I have gotten pretty sharp at recognizing the cult-like repetitious slogans, chanting behavior, circular logic, and emotional clinging to certain statements.
I am sorry for your loss. Never give up hope. Sometimes – rarely – people do snap out of it and come to their senses. Often this is a function of how much money they have invested. The larger the investment, the harder to let go.

My husband was an OR nurse at the VA for some years. The waste is indescribable! And talk about deadwood. Woo Doggies. Those who portray these necessary changes in funding as abandoning veterans are 180 degrees from the truth. Our veterans (my husband included) deserve efficiency and accountability and a “well oiled machine” as their care – ridding waste, fraud, and abuse from the system benefits them.
I’m 65. Engaged with the VA in Tyler, TX starting about 1.5 yrs ago.
Mostly FANTASTIC.
There have been a few frustrating delays but overall I remain pleasantly surprised.
I’ve met a few vets who love the clinic in Tyler especially compared with Dallas and San Antonio. ❤️

It has to do with the quotation marks (or apostrophes) in your username acting as a “delimiter” A delimiter serves as a data and code boundary when being read by a program. Our software reads it as stop sign.

Emergency Update!!!!!!! I was going to wait until Monday for this but things are developing rapidly so I must inform the public now in a series of tweets. Here is what’s happening: On Tuesday (SOTU) a House staffer gained entry into one of the House office buildings that leads to the U.S. Capitol. That staffer was in possession of a gun. He was eventually caught and arrested. What makes the problem even worse I’m told the staffer asked (after his arrest) what the problem was with this as no one said anything to him about him bringing the gun in the previous day. This is the fourth instance of a gun being brought in a building policed by USCP Chief J Thomas Manger since Trump was elected President. What is frightening to me is that both dates that President Trump attended events at the Capitol it was on a date where a gun made it in one of the buildings and I’m told one of the guns made it in a room where President Trump was actually in and only feet away from him. Sometimes a cat can get places it cannot get out of. This one needed help for at least four days in a bad storm, and was exposed to the elements the whole time.

Oh, my little brother has rescued countless kitties over the years.
The pics were not really clear, but Mabel, the one on the left next to the one he rescued from the tree, ended up living out her life with Mom and Dad. She was a beautiful Maine Coon mix. She died shortly after Dad did, making things even harder to deal with. My brother dug the grave for the kitty, I buried her a few days later when she passed. The kitty in the tree lived out her life being well cared for, too.
Winston has that deal ALLLLL figured out! Looks like a good snuggle buddy.
Cats ain’t nuthin’ but miniature lions and tigers. Gotta love’em.

A wise old Indian once said “Only a white man would think that cutting a foot off one end of a blanket and sewing it on the other end would give him a longer blanket”. Do some people really think that DST really gives them a longer day?
I absolutely love having an extra hour of light in the evenings for spring, summer and fall each year. If it got dark at 7:30 in summer instead of 8:30 that would be downright depressing. And I would have to pay for even more outrageously priced electricity.
When you read about all the corruption in the Federal government, it is overwhelming.
The only long term solution is to make the Federal Government MUCH MUCH SMALLER. Then make the State Government much smaller.

But there is a day coming when he will not be found. There may come such a time in this life; it is certain that at death and judgment the door will be shut. There must be not only a change of the way, but a change of the mind. We must alter our judgments about persons and things. It is not enough to break off from evil practices, we must strive against evil thoughts. To repent is to return to our Lord, against whom we have rebelled. If we do so, God will multiply to pardon, as we have multiplied to offend. But let none trifle with this plenteous mercy, or use it as an occasion to sin. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

“Is faith alone sufficient to save a person, or does God require faith and works?” Lets put it another way – if your husband or wife said to you, “I believe in you completely”, but never did anything to show it – like helped you when needed, was there for you in good and bad, was a partner. Would any person believe their words? The exact same is true with our Creator, who metaphorically is our “husband” and we His “bride”, both as the individual, and as mankind in general. Furthermore it is God alone who “saves” us – it is not by our own will or action. Of course our will and actions create in us a “worthy candidacy” – somebody our “Husband” would be proud to “marry”. It is also said that if a person does just one (1) good deed their entire life, this alone will provide a “step” from which the person may be “saved” from his/her plummet into darkness and hell. Naturally you’d be on the very bottom rung, but at least it will provide a foothold on the Jacob ladder in order to begin the accent back to Godliness. There are volumes of teachings on just how important good actions are, both from the logical to very deep spiritual “universal forces” that occur when good (Godly) actions occur. Plus we are also commanded/given a choice to do so. Deut 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have placed before you life (good deeds) and death, (bad deeds) the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,” (brackets mine).

SPEAK LIFE AND BLESSING
When we face challenges out of the blue
Our first instinct might be what went askew
We wonder what it was that caused the rift
Not recognizing what hit was a gift
We tend to take what occurs personally
Like some sort of punishment deservedly
When really it was nothing of the sort
Nor to the extent of fault to report
We have free will to make our choices
And that includes how we use our voices
We can rant and rave and complain why me
Or we can speak life and blessing to be
We are all prone to the seven deadly
We can speak out a tirade in medley
We can side with that demonic attack
Give negative thoughts credence right back
The effect of the weight we have laid down
Will surely defeat us cause us to drown
In a sea of self-pity barely function
Until we reach a decision junction
The difference between blessing and curse
Is the curse tends to make our plight much worse
It augments into a vicious cycle
We are less fruitful not at all vital
Speak life and blessing for each consequence
A positive outlook just makes more sense
It energizes God-given gifts in you
The Spirit inside comes alive when you do

This is the day The Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
It is BEAUTIFUL here today. The sun is shining and my apartment windows are open. I’ve been sprucing up the indoor plants from their winter blahs, cleaning the windows inside and out, reversing the ceiling fan directions to prepare for warmer days.
Daughter is working on an Algebra test and when she is finished, we will take a short ride to Frankfurt, Indiana and we will dream a little there.
God Is Sovereign and He Gifts us with all our days. I pray you all find your blessings today. Hugs and Love.

Prayer Of Thanksgiving In The Evening
Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful night’s sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. Prayer Of Reflection On The Past Day
Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.
Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.
Thank You, that You are a God who forgives our transgressions when we are willing to confess them to You, knowing that such cleansing before You immediately draws us back into sweet fellowship with Yourself.
Give me a good night’s rest I pray, and may I rest quietly in Your loving arms in the knowledge that in Christ, I am eternally secure, due to Your amazing grace, for which I praise You. In Jesus’ name,

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
