I say Rubio is likely to be President and Vance will be in Rubio’s current position. Think about that.
While I support Trump 100%, he needs to consider that all those people who are challenging him and DOGE have a long line of relatives who vote.
There is an old saying, “I may forget what you say, but I can never forget how you have made me feel.” It’s a tough job and needs to be done (DOGE), but doing it with a hint of kindness might be in order. After all, we need to be thinking about 2028 too.

Generally, VP is next in line for Pres. candidate much more so than Sec. of State is and I don’t recall a VP that went onto become Sec. of State.
In my lifetime, VPs have often but not always been the next pres. candidates. Some have become Pres., not necessarily immediately (Nixon, LBJ, Bush Sr.), while others were the candidate but lost (Mondale, Gore, Harris).
The ones who were never the candidate (Quayle, Cheney) and the ones that were but lost were then finished from politics, at least officially. That applies to every single VP going back to my youth (LBJ). No VP in my lifetime (that I can think of) went onto be in another president’s cabinet.
Trump correctly didn’t endorse Vance yet, but if he continues doing what he’s doing, I think he’ll have a major edge to be the candidate in ’28 & w/ the disarray of the dem party & hopefully election fraud under control, Vance will most likely be our next Pres.
Biggest mistake of his life was to run against Trump. Just like Nikki. Oh well, they are mostly irrelevant now. Pride cometh before the fall.

I just moved to Naples, Florida. My new home cost $1.2 million and the property taxes I have just paid were $6000.
The person that bought my home in California (where I had just escaped from due to pathetic politicians) paid $1.4 million for the home and her taxes are $15,000.
I called the property tax entity and asked questions about my property taxes. They said the taxes were not based on the purchase price but we’re based on the size of the house and lot in comparison to others in the general area which is why it was $6000 and not $12,000. Property taxes are not based on the purchase price!

EXACTLY! Check out Florida’s gas prices vs other states. When they do not have a State Income tax they make it up in other ways. Gasoline tax, sales tax, property tax. Tennessee is the same way. It costs $400 a car to register it in Florida if you move from out of State. Kentucky no only has a State Income tax they have a personal property tax on vehicles, boats, trailers, etc. It is collected at license time. A brand new truck personal property tax can be North of $500! I always did say Indiana’s Democrats drifted south into Kentucky and ran for office. Kentucky is one of the lowest income States yet they tax everything that moves.
FL property taxes fund all of their schools and the majority of what happens at the county and city level. I assume Ron isn’t making any suggestions about where the money will come from after they’re gone. This is a guy who during his entire presidential campaign talked economics exactly once. And it was in an empty warehouse where he read of some tired club for growth bullet points. No plan, no details.

Tourism pays a lot of taxes in Florida. DeSantis had an ad awhile back saying thank a tourist they are paying Florida taxes.
Yes, and we Floridians tend to vacation in FL, so we also pay the taxes that support our State. I’m okay with that. It’s better than a state income tax, since I’m not on vacation every day.

That being said, it’s a long way off to the primary and Donalds was all in George Floyd’s corner so his judgement isn’t infallible. President Trump was never elected or even ran for any office and he has been an exceptional president. It could be that Casey learned a lot from having access to many famous people, good and bad.
I don’t live in Florida anymore, thank God, so I only care that Florida stays Republican. Floridians have to live with their choice, not me.

Running for office anywhere for anything anymore is of great expense. You have to be a millionaire to run for POTUS unless you do not mind being the puppet of your big donors. I like DeSantis. I do not like the fact he has to listen to outside influences because of the donors. I think there should be limits on how much a person can spend on any political campaign. This would make their campaigns even in dollars spent. Any extra they achieve would be manpower from their followers. If their followers donated TIME ballot chasing, phone calls, etc, ah, yeah, they would probably do better than a person who did not have that benefit. But that means the person with the most following would have the advantage.
