I spent 8 years in Texas, so I “got there as fast as I could”. 20 to 28 years old. I danced under the stars, fell in love there, breathed there. Leaving there was truly the stupidest thing I have ever done and had I stayed, I would have been ridiculously wealthy, accomplished, and somewhat powerful. However, my history of pain always spurred me to chase having a real family of my own… and had I not gone, I would never have had Savannah. When I called my father to tell him his 32 year old unmarried daughter was shamefully pregnant, he said “Joanie, God finally gave you someone to love.” Well done, Dad. Well done.
So, dear Garrison – I left my heart in Texas. Had to pick up a whole new heart in Seattle where daughter was born. Brought her back to my hometown after my Dad died and it was safe for me to return here. I had to chase family… little knowing that family is all in what you make it and can be fully adopted and more real than any biological one.
I often wonder if I were to go back there, if I could get back on the plane to depart it again. I’m thinking someone would have to drag me kicking and screaming.
Tony Bennett should have sung “I left my heart in San Antonio”. I did.

For those who are unfamiliar with this talented man, prepare to be amazed at his God given talent. Bobby McFerrin’s father was the first black opera singer ever to perform at the Met…something, though I am so familiar with Mr McFerrin, I never knew.

Here Mr McFerrin sings along with the St Paul Chamber Orchestra, which he also conducts. Unfortunately I could find only two movements, not the complete work…so they will have to suffice. Nevertheless, they are enough to marvel at what God has given to him.

When I was working I hit the ground running at 8 am, maybe got a lunch break and maybe got to leave the office by 6pm. I was a back office ob-gyn medical assistant. No sitting with that job.

Physical therapists use ultrasound to change tissue conditions and change physiologic-repair outcomes – why would anyone believe it has zero (benign at best) effect on the earliest, foundational developmental trajectory of a Human fetus’ infrastructure?
Certain questions were not then, and still have not been investigated/’studied’; the profiteers don’t want those answers, same like Vx… so they can claim “no evidence of harm”. Because they refuse to look in that direction they “have seen no harm”… so think their claim is credible.

I spent almost my entire work life in the medical industrial complex. I avoid it now like the plague – which, in a way, it is. We have a grandchild with Aspergers. The incidence of autism spectrum anomalies in children has risen so spectacularly, I can’t even keep up with the ratios they keep spewing at us. Throw in ADD, ADHD, and the whole alphabet soup of disorders and the average person should obviously see – Something is wrong with how we are doing things! Can/Will RFKjr get a grasp on all things causal? I don’t know, but doing what we are is the definition of insanity.

I mean no disrespect in asking after your granddaughter… nor is it anyone’s business. My mother heart breaks for her knowing how it was with the loss of my mom when I was nine years old.
Such a rugged loss and life altering.
She will stay with her partner. She wants to come home but it was at her insistence that they moved to Florida in the first place even though we and Laura would have preferred for them to stay up here near us. They have a home there and a mortgage and are not in a financial situation where they can afford to move.
Sherry and I already mortgaged one house in the years past to pay for her medical bills and being retired are not either inclined or in a position to disrupt our own welfare in such a manner again. We do help them financially within our means by paying for their groceries without hurting ourselves.
Laura, is a great gal and is doing all she can to make Niki comfortable while working two jobs online as a Dean and an instructor at an online University all the while raising Alison. Laura has a 3D printer with which she makes anatomical models for her students. She is doing her best to but is filing for bankruptcy due to the medical bills.
Medical bills for lifesaving treatment destroying people’s livelihoods… this simply shouldn’t be. Not in the richest country in the world.
May the Lord’s mercy cover them through this. I pray somehow the medical bills will be alleviated so that she doesn’t have her financial stability adversely affected.
I hope Laura is communicating openly with the medical centers. God, please… have them step up.
We need our medical centers to be profitable but not as a business with shareholders expecting great yields on their investments… towards the perpetual service of their patients.

Israel Update:
-6 living hostages returned home today. This completes the “living part” of this Phase.
So far 29 hostages were released dead or alive on this phase. Next week there are 4 more bodies to be back and that’s it. Additionally 5 Thai workers were also released on another agreement. This will leave 59 hostages behind of which 35 are known to be dead. This leaves 24 behind. Young soldiers. May God help them.
Unlike others I am not separating it from the price. For those 6 we will release 600 who have the blood of about 100 Israelis on their hands. Yes, we owe the hostages a lot for not protecting them properly, but…
Anyways it was nice to see them coming home!
Two of the hostages who came back, were there a decade. One Ethiopian Jew and one a Muslim Israeli. Both crossed to Gaza on their own because of mental illness.
They both returned in a very bad shape and are not communicating much. They look gone. The others seem thin but OK. Some better than others. But one should remember that they are experiencing the euphoria of the release. What they experienced we already just heard included physical and mental torture and starvation. May if the hostages lost some 30 Kg (66LB) in captivity. And we are seeing videos of abundance of food in the streets of Gaza.
Some of the fruits are Made in Israel.
In addition to a humiliating ceremony where they were force to speak to a crowd, dictated things, propaganda. Hamas again did something very inhumane. They brought two living hostages in a van and had them watch their friends being released while they stay.
They then had them beg on and on about “please help us”, a long and heart breaking plea to Israelis and Bibi. They looked thin and bad. They looked tormented.
In response the officer of the Prime Minister issued the following statement:
“In light of Hamas’ repeated violations – including the ceremonies that demean the dignity of our hostages and the cynical use of the hostages for propaganda purposes – it has been decided to delay the release of the terrorists scheduled for yesterday until the release of the next hostages is guaranteed, and without the degrading ceremonies.”
So the 600 terrorists were not released. But they most likely will be released. Since the living hostages of Phase One are home then Bibi feels that he has more leverage to do things like that.
-Bibi replaced the negotiators from the Heads of Mossad and Shabak and an ex-General to Ron Dermer his right hand man. Ron Dermer is a much better option than the other team who gave us this bad deal. It shows that Bibi is not intending on being soft on the second Phase.
-Hamas gave back the body of Shiri, the mom of the Bibas family. The forensic check determined that the Bibas family were murdered shortly after 10/7 by strangulation.
The bodies of all this family were badly mutilated by smashing their skulls and bodies with rocks to make it look like a result of bombs. People who worked on the bodies of 10/7 said that this was “overwhelming to see”. The family did not permit to give detailed descriptions to the media. What I am telling you is all that is OK to publish.
Science can identify strangulation. It’s not easy to hide it.
Sorry but if you want to follow up on this war you are exposing yourself to inconceivable demonic levels of evil. There is “a wind of revenge” in Israel at the moment.
What we are watching from Gaza now is not just Hamas, we see mobs celebrating their cruelty including children in Hamas uniforms and with guns. I am not for killing children but there are two viable solutions, either deportation or de-radicalization by education.
All other solutions will perpetuate the existing disaster. Bibi knows it. Gaza also must be disarmed even if it means another year of war.
The Israeli Intelligence is saying that the organization which killed the Bibas family is called Kahtab El Mujaheddin, it’s a terror organization which derived from the PLO, it radicalized and became “religious” and very violent. It is run by two tribes in South Gaza.
The Shabak formed a special large unit which job is eliminating all the involved in 10/7.
They already killed many. In the least weeks of the war before the ceasefire I was hearing of their jobs being done every few days. They are called “NILI” which is an abbreviation to “The eternity of Israel shall not lie”. A quotation from the Bible of Prophet Samuel who said it in regard to the elimination of The Amalek arch enemy of Israel. It came to mean that “Israel is eternal and wins eventually”.
-Trump said that he is OK with whatever Bibi wants to do next. He has been following daily about the hostages and is understanding the situation very well. But, he is less adamant about his plan of deportations, so it seems. He also said that Bibi is not hesitant as to what needs to be done and suggested that Bibi is determined to keep the war going to get rid of Hamas.
I am hearing today from a reporter who is connected to the top of the IDF, said that if they are going back into Gaza it will be different. There will be some three Divisions operating together with bulldozers, tanks, air support and they will systematically wipe out anything ahead of them. Note that the new Chief of Staff is an Armored Corps man unlike the previous one who was Special Operations. Special Operations tend to be more surgical and the Armored Corps are more scorched earth. Realize that Hamas and others have now planted hundreds of huge explosives and one can’t just go door to door on suicide missions.
I am also sure that the Humanitarian Aide will be limited and controlled and fight zones will not get any. Anyone who wishes to survive will have to move out of the fight zones. I expect the Islamo/Progressive alliance to go wild and protest in Western cities.
-The most anti Israel and Progressive Pope ever is now hospitalized in critical condition.
The Christians are cleansed off the Middle East and also diminish in Europe yet he is all busy about Israel and the “poor Palestinians”. I hope I didn’t hit a nerve here. I have no idea what you think about him.
-Polls predict the “Deep Right” to win elections in Germany. While the last President was friendly to Israel, Germany has a Deep Progressive side who is working with the European Union and have been sponsoring many of the Pro Palestine and left opposition inside Israel.
A lot of damage. It seems like the Germans are fed up with the Islamic takeover. We just saw two stabbing attacks in the last week, “courtesy of the religion of peace”.
Europe is on a free fall trend. I have a video from the UK. Like you see the massive full stadiums with the US Christian Preachers in Texas, you see in the UK the Muslims filling up stadiums. It’s hard to conceive what happened to the largest empire the world has ever seen.

There is joy and relief in reunion… the memories remain.
I pray a special prayer that our Lord God Almighty wipe away all memories of their captivity and abuse.
Just like God does when he wipes the memory of a mother’s terrible pain of childbirth, replaced by utter joy and peace in the reward of her innocent and loving child as he or she baby gazes at her in utter peace. Wipe all pain from their minds.
No bad dreams, no night terrors, no flinching at the touch of loved ones, no jumping in fear of joyful fireworks and celebration, no distrust of the world for one may never know who is pure in Spirit and who is not. No stealing of precious time, ability to gainfully and joyfully work, and no stealing of anyone’s future freedom by mental or physical torment.
Complete and utter healing miraculously at the Hand of God Himself.
They retain awareness of where they’ve been, but with no carrying any of its cruelty in manifest. Set completely free in mind, body, and Spirit and indwelt with The One True Hope of Eternal Life and Perfection.
May they go on to have beautiful testimonies of God’s Goodness and Mercy and may He lift them in joy, happiness, good health, with abundant and growing Godly families… all the days of their lives.
The best revenge is rejecting the devil’s damage and living in joy and peace surrounded by holiness.
I pray this for all warriors who fight in the Spirit of protecting holiness and good… and to all victims who suffer such unspeakable horrific crimes. evil never wins.

We have a wild rabbit who has nested by my back patio door. She’s good sized and healthy and has no fear of the cats’ faces pressed at the window trying to get her attention.
We were wondering why Millie Mouse kept sliding into the vertical blinds like a bowling ball going for a strike. So loud and disruptive, but now we know why.
Last week, when I was home sick Tuesday, we opened our side door to a full grown coyote (!) not ten feet away from my glass door at 1:30 in the afternoon. That really surprised us! It was not scared of us either and looked around, almost confused looking, and trotted away down our street.
I notified the neighborhood on Nextdoor, but to bring harm to the beautiful coyote, but to alert the idiots who leave their cats outside unattended despite our known predatory birds here. We’ve often seen Red Tail Hawks capable of scooping up small cats and dogs.
So our vigilance begins. This poor bunny who has trusted us with her den… we are praying the coyote doesn’t get a whif of her and create a blood bath on my patio.
However, we know and are reconciled to the fact that we value the plight of both of them for their survival and the coyote must live, which may mean the bunny must die.
Wild Kingdom and more excitement than I want when I have a cold.
We live in an area that was only 3 short years ago surrounded by farms and open space with beautiful sunrises. Now cursed cement pop up warehouses block the horizon in every direction and thus our poor God-given creatures have lost their habitat and they are confused and looking where to turn and flee to. It is awful to witness God’s creation driven out.
We don’t want to stay here. We feel driven out too. Lease is up in July and waiting for God’s prompting to know where to go. Driven out… yes that’s the feeling. We need to feed our birds and create habitat with our lawns. Our creatures are a gift not a curse and our world is more beautiful with them in it.
Pray for us to find our home. My hands need soil to grow things.
Come here to woodsy Buffalo, Texas. The drawback is the soil is not the best for a lot of things, but amendment is always possible. I like to call our area The Poor-man’s Hill Country. Beautiful as Austin’s Hill Country, but without the price.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Savannah and I are making Barria beef roast from Aldis, with her rice, Mexican street corn, flour and corn tortillas, and Escabeche.
Escabeche
Brine
1:1 ratio of water and white vinegar (for this batch 2 cups each)
1/2 portion apple cider vinegar (for this batch 1 cup)
6 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons oregano
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons Kosher Salt
Chop veggies into 1/4 rich medallions. Carefully remove seeds of fresh jalepenos by putting zip lock sandwich bags on your hands to work with the peppers.
The more seeds, the more heat. Dispose of bags and remember to wash thoroughly… do not touch your eyes.
Bring the brine ingredients to a boil and remove from heat. Add veggies and let sit for 10 minutes. Pack in jars and refrigerate until use.
This makes excellent gifts!!
It also makes an awesome project to do with family.
I will take some of this brine and pickle red onions with it too in a separate jar. Woo, baby!
Also try it with radishes… sooooo good!

I tried their chickpea pasta (I reject grains amap) and it is wonderful – he’s featuring chickpea rice this time.
They still have the Bavarian Sausage that you speak of. We are of German and Irish descent and we love our wursts!!!! The sausage selection at Aldis, their canned vegetables and fruit (especially their stewed tomatoes) are delicious . Their chocolate there is really good too for those with a sweet tooth. We often purchase the chocolate as gifts. Not expensive, so give a nice gift and stay within budget.
We first shopped there out of fiscal necessity. Now we shop there because we want to. Knowing what I know now… we will never spend more when we can get such great quality there.
Aldis also held their prices through Covid and also economic crisis to try to aide their customers. I would receive the emails and it made my heart glad that we were patronizing a store that truly loves its shoppers. I’m a die-hard fan. They are cousins to Trader Joe’s, who I also love but not as much as Aldis.
I will definitely find the lob-stah…

The Birria beef roast is in the meat section where they have their other seasoned beef. Remarkably well done. I used two cups of water, beef bouillon paste, and about a quarter cup of extra dry vermouth to add to the seasonings that were already in the package. Just WOW. It was enough for three large meals, so leftovers went in the freezer.
