This is clear, simply by the reading of the record, and thus the Trump order is in conformance with it rather than attempting to redefine it. Note that Trump’s order actually is narrower than Wong Kim Ark and original debate on the 14th Amendment allows in that only one of the two natural parents need be lawful permanent residents or a citizen and further, although the order could reasonably retroactively declare this requirement to be the case Trump has deliberately not done so.
Further, the ACLU’s “test plaintiff” has no standing because she has no right to be here and generally you cannot, in our legal system which is predicated on common law, bring a civil case where the events leading to your complaint exist as a result of your fraudulent act. But for her illegal presence the events would not exist and her unlawful action in fact created the circumstance under which she now (as the ACLU’s “client”) complains. This demands an immediate dismissal however it is reasonable for the Supremes to take the case anyway because it then sets precedent and puts a stop to this crap on a summary and permanent, absent a further Constitutional Amendment, basis.
I give decent odds the Supreme Court agrees this is entirely within the remit of the 14th Amendment and precedent set by prior Supreme Court decisions since, specifically Wong Kim Ark.

If you are somehow too old and feeble to go to the polls to vote but still live independently, you likely don’t have the mental acuity to do so either. If one lives in a nursing prison then the state can setup a voting booth in the facility.
NO MAIL IN VOTING for anyone other than the military overseas (sorry ex-pats, if you no longer reside in country, you no longer vote in country unless you travel back to do so in person).
There appears to be a Uniparty Election Lottery taking place in our elections (think how Mitch McConnell works) ever since the pandemic hoax tore down all common sense election integrity measures.
Although the rightful President was elected (too big to rig) The 2024 election down-ballot results show this large scale election fraud dynamic is alive and well.

No reason why disabled people and the elderly can’t be driven to the polls to have someone come out to secure their vote like is done in NC and has been done for several years. A relative or friend can drive them and they never have to leave the car. I would volunteer for that job, either to drive them or be on standby to go out to the car to secure their vote.
If they actually had a list of dependable volunteers (who could work with people’s schedules) in every city, town, and far flung rural area in the USA, that would work.
Not saying it couldn’t be done, but it’s a leap.

There are always places to call for a ride to the polls, people are pretending not to know so much.
Note that I didn’t preclude such activities – of which there are many. Most areas I’ve lived have had some kind of volunteer help for those without family or friends in the area that could do so.

There are plenty of people out there who are physically disabled, but mental acuity is Just. Fine.
FL. has mail-in voting. It seems to work just fine, as long as all the other things like Voter ID, etc. are complied with.
If need be, get a Drs. note that excuses you from in-person voting. Just like people need to get for the disabled Parking Places.
No person on Oxygen is going to be wanting to go stand in line for an indeterminate amount of time to go vote. Diabetics who need to eat certain things at certain times, etc etc. Or even people who – for the safety of themselves or others- can no longer drive! The list is long.
They can always request and Absentee Voter Ballot. The person requesting it must have to jump through a few hoops to prove that they are the person requesting it.
Then a list of people who voted absentee needs to be provided to the public so that independent verification can be done.
What cannot be allowed is nursing home staff/USPS employees colluding to pretend that everyone in the facility requested a ballot and those people are voting for the residents.
That is now Missouri law. It is not hard if you are a real person

There are multiple ways to address the issues you raise Sunny, besides mail-in ballots. One would be to have special lines set aside at polling places – or as Dixie mentioned where they come out to the car in such cases.
As far as not being able to drive – how do they get to the doctor? Shopping? Also again, most areas have volunteers that will help with such things.
“It seems to work fine” is a far cry from “it is safe, secure, and without fraud.” In fact, there have been credible multiple news stories of such fraud occurring even in the state of Florida (blue areas thereof).
So long as you focus on PROCESSES, to the exclusion of PEOPLE, you will have election fraud.
Voter I.D., Paper Ballots, Counted at the precinct instead of at massive tabulstion centers, same day voting,…etc.

I’d like to address disabled parking. I am 80 years old. I have had one knee replaced and the other one needs it badly, has for years but I choose not to have it done yet. A couple of years ago I went to the license bureau to get a form for my doctor to sign for me to have a disabled parking pass. They told me I didn’t need the doctor’s signature, that anyone 75 or older could have one. This is Missouri. Soooooo when you see me get out of my car and hang up the disabled parking sign, I’m not taking anyone’s space that I shouldn’t be. Also, people could have heart issues and not able to walk a long distance. There are all types of reasons why one would need the special pass. HOWEVER I do know people where their spouse had the special pass and after spouse passed, they continued to use the parking pass. So there’s that.
Don’t misunderstand my comment – it definitely wasn’t that there wasn’t a need or that some did not have legitimate reasons for their use. In view of the general concept, as a rule I park no closer than the mid point to try to help ensure there are spots for those that might be less physically able, yet not have a pass.
However, I know from many personal experiences that they are given out like candy, often without cause, to people far younger than yourself. As a result, to use similar methods to determine cause for not voting in person is IMO a bad idea.
My elderly husband who barely walks has one, but I have to remember to put it up and down from the rear view mirror, supposedly it’s illegal to drive with it hanging but it’s easy to forget after you’ve parked in a handicapped spot.
Also, it’s only good for two years.

At my current polling place, they go straight to the front of the line – and not a single one of the rest of us mind. Still think it would be better to have a separate one for them or to go out to the car as Dixie indicated.
It is easy to presume one understands the nature of disability and frailty.
Even to the degree that one can suggest that the inability to endure the process of in person voting is sufficient to justify denying a person of their right to vote entirely.
However, there will always be those that cannot endure that process no matter the accommodations one might imagine making available, who are, in their safe environments with their own accommodations for their own weaknesses can maintain a high degree of mental acuity and political engagement.
I know more of this truth than I care to elucidate here; I am appreciative of absentee ballots, which are not mail in ballots for the masses or the lazy; they have their place and can be administered in a fashion that ensures fraudsters cannot find advantage.

I totally agree, Sunnydaze. My 94 year old mom is sharp, politically aware, pro-Trump Christian conservative who votes absentee. She still drives, but doesn’t have the stamina to stand in a long voting line for a half hour or more. In Ohio, you have to request an absentee ballot, and provide a Social Security number or other valid ID. Since our state govt. purged the voter rolls of inactives, deceased, and relocated voters, and got us out of ERIC, our elections seem to go pretty well.
(Our biggest problems involve RINOs who win primaries because of splitter candidates, but as far as I know, the cheating we used have here seems under control.) And hey, we managed to elect JD Vance, boot out Sherrod Brown, and get Bernie Moreno in his place, so that’s been a plus.
And personally, I prefer using an absentee ballot because it makes it easier to research and look up candidates and issues online than to try to remember it all — or occasionally, there will be an odd race or ballot issue I wasn’t aware of. I say get rid of mail-in ballots, but absentee can work fine if people are required to request them and provide voter ID, and they have to be in by Election Day.

This past election in Alabama many were disabled and waiting in line, including nursing mothers and oxygen folks. The poll workers took them inside to vote immediately.

There is a substantial difference between “mail in voting” and absentee ballots.
The absentee ballots provide a solution to the disabled’s not being able to get to the polls. It serves as a way for citizens and military personnel serving overseas to cast their ballots too.
Another issue to address is the “motor voter” laws that require you to register to vote when renewing a driver’s license. This is where a state that allows driver’s licenses for illegals can create a data base of names and addresses of those ineligible to vote. If you want to know where ballots are manufactured in voter fraud cases, look to the motor voter laws as a powerful tool in stealing elections.

We have always had absentee ballots for that purpose, one difference was you had to request it for the person, not have a bunch mailed out to whomever.
Any ballots that arrive by mail must be counted *before* the polls close on election day. Not after.
This is how the after-hours steal is completed on their computer software. After polls close they already know the machine totals that they need to overcome.
From now on, AI algorithms will sweep the floor with this system. Paper ballots. ID. One day count. Election reform is now or never.
Those that arrive by mail from legitimate absentee voters should NOT be counted early, they remain sealed until election day, and must then be counted along with all ballots cast on election day.
In that fashion no-one gains insight on the mind of the electorate prior to election day, and absentee voters are not disenfranchised by having stricter requirements that in person voters.
The one thing that could legitimately be accomplished with absentee ballots, mailed in or dropped off, prior to election day, is simply the verification of the legitimacy and validity of the voter, so that the final interior envelope can be opened and counted on election day without burdening officials with signature verification requirements that could easily and properly be done well in advance.
A basic issue with ballots received by mail is there is a window of opportunity to tamper with them. After the signed outer envelope is opened, the *generic* ballot within is easily discarded for a fraudulent one.
Even if the envelopes themselves have valid signatures, the generic ballots within are interchangeable.
In any case, *prior* to the close of polls, the crooks can only guess how many fraudulent mail-in ballots are needed to overturn the election day result. By the time they know for sure, it is too late to insert more fraudulent ballots after the polls have closed.
Not voting on one day enables people to vote in multiple places more easily.

Our second child had one of the markers. We declined amniocentesis due to risk of miscarriage. Turned out to be a false positive. I learned at that time that there has been a push to determine as early as possible if a child may have Down so it is ‘less traumatic’ to have an abortion. 19 years ago, the earliest marker was a cardiac spot that showed calcification and so required a heartbeat. I believe they were looking into measuring a gap in the neural tube which is formed well before then.
I once talked to a doctor I met socially and he was very much opposed to all the prenatal testing, and from what he told me and things I researched on my own after I started to wonder about so many couples I know worrying that their babies had a higher risk of being developmentally disabled, from what I understand a test they use can rule it out, but can’t rule it in.
The risk probability they quote is based on the age of the mother.

My OB/Gyn, who was a wonderful Christian man, said that there were dozens of tests he “could” do but most were unnecessary and unreliable. The only one that he recommended was an AFP blood test at 14-16 weeks which would indicate if the baby might have spina bifida, in which case, he would have done a C-section so that the neural tube opening could be fixed immediately.
(He paid 100K of his own money to get an ultrasound machine in his office so that he could monitor his patients without having to fight with insurance companies. He also worked with local crisis pregnancy centers and would take on patients at no cost rather than have them terminate the pregnancy. He didn’t want anyone to know that but my mom volunteered there and found out about it….)
The elimination of all “vaccinations” to pregnant women, strong guidance on proper healthy nutrition and exercise (not what the government has said for years), and avoidance of the seemingly endless chemicals in use for so many things in today’s world would go a long, long way to solving any need for such testing, as well as the incident rate of childhood issues IMO.

We all need to remember that AI is just human-made computer machinery and human-made computer code “learning” from a library of human-made information which is rife with errors.

The near term AI utility is as a flexible tool that can be a productivity multiplier, freeing a human from time consuming and/or mundane tasks and when imbued with carefully curated subject matter knowledge, an assistant of various sorts, including in areas the user has a limited or non-existent skill set.
The processing of huge data sets is another area it can be useful (search aid is one such example). The underlying technology could also be very useful in tasks requiring large scale parallelism.
My take (based on more than just this interview)- MSoft has basically lost control of OpenAI (as has Musk). In Musk’s case he is doing his own thing with xAI. In MSoft’s case, they don’t have the economic moats they desire and even though they were early adopters of AI they keep falling further and further behind and their business model in this arena is being undercut by their competitors.
MSoft has very recently come out with what they say is a Quantum computing core better than others. Independent checking reveals it isn’t complete (doesn’t handle all states of Q-bits). They have always been subpar at creating products from new technologies (hence falling behind on AI), instead endlessly putting new makeup on old ideas. They are also losing market share in the cloud and server arenas. This is their attempt to try to influence the market and push it towards their own vision and away from their competitors in a somewhat desperate attempt at maintaining relevance.
