Recently was on a trip to Maine. Portland, although a beautiful city, had stupid rainbow flags everywhere. Why? Why can’t you fly the American flag people? It’s the thing that unites all different people.

There’s a lot of leftists on the coastline, or as the locals would call it “downeast”.
To get a good feel what Maine is really like, you’d have to travel north of Augusta and keep a distance from the colleges and universities.
Portland is not Downeast. Down east is further up the coast.
I lived in Maine for 30 years, long enough to be considered a “local”. It was a small government, Republican state, but started moving towards the Dems but still about 50/50. Oh, and I lived on an island in Casco Bay, just off of Portland.
When I moved there in around 1970, the local population controlled the state. They were a group of eccentric, straight shooters. I loved it where I lived. Even Portland was full of very interesting “characters”.
The Governor’s position switched back and forth between Republican and Democrat.
When I read about Maine today, I feel very sad. Locals say they do not support what is happening and yet it is happening with little to no resistance. The Northern part of the state was always the conservative part but now they have a Democrat congressman. They also have rank choice voting which is a Democrat scheme to always win…but they voted for it, right? You can go on and on about the locals not approving, but they clearly voted for rank choice and perpetual rule by Democrats.
So, it is up to the local population to speak up and be heard. Wonderful people, so interesting and trust worthy and eccentric, yet they are going a long to go along.

You can see through most trans men because they don’t “trans well” and have their man features so they end up looking like freaks.
