Afternoon, dear Bet. Ditto on the “burrrrr”. Reminds me of winter mornings at my Granny’s house in Ark. It was so cold I’d poke my nose out from under the covers—and then drive back under the warm stack of covers. Lesson learned.
Last night I slept under a similar stack of covers . . . I was toasty warm, didn’t formally get up until after 10 (again—retirement has definite advantages). Loyal little kitty that she is, Little ‘Tink stayed curled up on my shoulder all morning; she was looking after me and keeping me warm.
I had a large cup of Bustelo . This was a perfect soup day so I went down to my favorite taqueria for a bowl of wonderful chicken tortilla soup. Talk about hitting the spot! They also serve strong coffee like you’ll typically get south of the border. Yum!

Twenty two years later and I still vividly remember The Station nightclub tragedy. I worked the day shift back then, couldn’t sleep and turned the TV on at 3:30 am. Non-stop Boston TV news coverage of the fire. To try to soundproof the club so neighbors in the area wouldn’t complain about the loud music, the club’s owners lined the walls and ceiling with thick foam padding.
Great White’s pyrotechnics ignited the foam and the inside of the club almost instantly BURST into flames. A large crowd tried to get out through the main doors and people fell, people got stuck in the doorway, and many perished in the flames.
A night of fun turned into a complete tragedy. RIP to all who perished at The Station that night…

Some years later I read about a high school kid who made it through even though he was trapped in the hallway inside.
He was a wrestler and recalled that his coach had taught him to never lay on his stomach or back because the weight of others on top of him could suffocate him. He was down but managed to roll onto his side, up against the wall.
He said that air being pulled in along the floor by the fire and the bodies of those on tip of him was enough to keep him alive. After the fire was out and they were removing those who didn’t make it he was able to reach out and grag the leg of firefighter. Nearly scared the firefighter to death but he survived thanks to the advice from his wresting coach.

Biography: Polar explorer and naval officer Robert Peary has been called the grand old man of polar exploration. Peary was ambitious in his efforts for fame by discovering then one of the last unknown regions on earth. In 1891 Peary became the first person to travel across Greenland and confirm that it was an island.
In 1909 on his third attempt to the north pole he claimed to have been successful and the first person to reach its geographic center. His claims contrasted with those of a former shipmate Frederick Cook who also laid claim to having been the first to reach the North Pole in April 1908 and were widely debated at the time.

Israel Update:
Today we are expecting a very difficult day. We are getting four bodies back. Amongst them are the Bibas family (mom, infant and young child). It will take up to 48 hours to conform with a DNA check but it’s likely is what it is. While most Israelis are going to use it to enrage the world and the world should be enraged. The Hamas is claiming that “they were killed with their captors”. Hamas needed them alive so I can safely assume that they died as a result of the war, a bomb or a missile or the other option is that the IDF was so close to rescue them that the captures decided to kill them. Either way, this is a sad sad and depressing day for Israel!
I am doing something different today and I hope that the Admin will forgive me because I will post an unusual number of images that I compiled myself with subtitle that I wrote. This is in memorial of the victims of the terror.
While the Bibas family death is tragic, I would like to remind the world that there are many many “Bibas families” who were butchered on 10/7. The monsters were looking for families to kill and there are tens of them. This is not an easy update and forgive me, I have kept my updates pretty clean of gore, but there is a lot of gore in 10/7. Some parents watched their parents murdered and were then murdered themselves. In some cases it was the other way around and the children had to watch. Some were shot some were burned and I will end at that. I will not get into the torture rapes and mutilations but I have some difficult testimonials of that too. Just to give you a general idea, here is the order that Hamas terrorists carried on a note:
“You should sharpen your blades and be pure in front of Allah. Know that the enemy is an incurable disease, aside for beheading and extraction of their hearts and livers. Charge! “
And so they did. The “extractions and beheadings” were not only figurative.
It is what they did in many cases. They also got a “religious clearance” from the high clergy to perform rapes. In quite a few locations there were rapes and inconceivable sexual sadism performed on women, men, girls and boys including doing it in front of their boyfriends and families intentionally. The Israeli police issued a film with tens of evidences and testimonials on rape and sexual abuse. I will leave it at that.
The attack was planned by Hamas, drilled and coordinated in and with Iran.
I would like to dispel a big lie. “The Hamas lie”. It was not only Hamas. We now know that on 10/7 some 6,000 terrorists invaded Israel from 119 border breaches in a 37 Miles of border.
1,163 people were murdered, 779 civilians and 1,940 people were wounded amongst them 360 badly or very badly wounded. 251 people were kidnapped of all ages.
Most of the main battles needed on 10/8, some terrorists were killed on 10/9 and there were some incidents on 10/11 and 10/12.
The attack was carried out in four stages:
The Nukhba Force (Commando of Hamas) moved in first. The main Hamas forces joined. Other terror organizations joined, mainly but not only, The Islamic Jihad. The “civilians” joined, murdered, raped, mutilated and looted. I don’t know what was the % of civilians involved in 10/7 but a reliable source posted recently that it was 70%. I doubt it but I am sure that it’s around the 50% or more. I am not saying it to justify the death of civilians in Gaza but to clarify that Hamas is a symptom of a sick society who is vastly involved on different levels. Hamas didn’t “hijack Gaza”. It’s a lie.
Watch all the recent videos and you see it. Watch the videos of the celebrations in Gaza on 10/7 and the parading of the Israeli bodies in Gaza’s streets with the excited and violent mob and you see it. If you want I can provide videos but it’s hard to watch.
So I will follow with the pictures in memorial of the casualties.

Large eruptions anywhere in the tropics are most likely to cause global weather changes because their emissions are better distributed globally than eruptions in the Temperate or Polar zones.
The Tambora eruption occurred near the end of the Little Ice age.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
