Mornin’ dear ‘Woo. Thank you for your kind words. Last night I spoke with a dear friend. He shared that he had some blood work that spelled serious trouble. I asked if he was a believer, something despitte having known each other for years and years, we’d never discussed. So, naturally, he was surprised that I am a strong believer, too.
We had our first ever discussion on prayer and belief. It was good that we did. Sometimes men can be good friends for decades . . . and never discuss our belief in God. I told my friend that what he told me would stay with me—that was his information, not mine and I won’t share it with anyone else.
He’s a strong believer and we will pray that he’ll be well. Love you dear ‘Woo. Have a blessed day.

I’m sure there could have been some collective prayers for one another and your families over that friendship time.

27-35 Our business is to observe the precepts of Christ, and to copy his example; to do justice, to love mercy, and to beware of covetousness; to be ready for every good work, avoiding needless strife, and bearing evils, if possible, rather than seeking redress by law. It will be found there is little got by striving. Let us not envy prosperous oppressors; far be it from the disciples of Christ to choose any of their ways. These truths may be despised by the covetous and luxurious, but everlasting contempt will be the portion of such scorners, while Divine favour is shown to the humble believer.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Here at my central Indiana home a all day slow soaking rain has turned into a light snow blowing horizontal snow out of the north. It must be climate change.
February – The month of the broken trees.
In Virginia we had rain all day yesterday on top of saturated ground from previous rains and the melt of the Ice storm a few days ago. Extreme run off occurs when the ground can’t soak in any more moisture. Raining again now and high wind warning this afternoon as the cold front moves in.
Everywhere you travel there are ice broken fallen trees that have been cut and pushed into the side ditches to reopen the roads. Did a bit of this road re-opening myself last week.
This weeks forecast is predicting another 4 to 10 inches of snow so the joy never ceases. Cleaning out gutters in the pouring rain yesterday put the icing on the cake if you will for the week, it was miserable.
Power still out for portions of the local areas from ice storm and the expected wind gusts this afternoon will probably down yet more trees and knock out more power lines. Our power somehow held through the storm, a real blessing even though we’re prepared to deal with outages.
On the bright side we have shelter from the elements and there’s a fire nicely burning in the wood stove in the basement. The livestock is in good shape this winter thus far.
Come on over the coffee is fresh.

Wow, JWoo, Massie didn’t just build a house, he built a castle by my standards.
We’re just in a modest old renovated farm house but we’re content. The land is somewhat similar to what’s in the video here in our little corner of Virginia.
Liked the terrace garden and the tomatoes, we feed tomatoes to our hens in the summer. Lots of table scraps can be fed to chickens and there are lists online of what is and is not good for them. With a varied diet a chicken produces eggs with orange yolks ( not the pale yellow found in grocers ) and they’re tasty.
One man’s “modest old renovated farm house” – is another man’s utopia on earth.
Watched Massie’s interview with Tucker Carlson and then this homesteading video and developed a big respect for how he circumnavigated his local politics to aid his family and neighbors. And the building of his home by HAND using so many varied types of hardwood. Gorgeous and what a huge labor of love.
The property he’s on is his wife’s family legacy land and it gives it special meaning, especially with the recent and relatively unexplained passing of his young bride. They were together over 30 years, high school sweethearts. I think she was just 51 years old? Not sure if it was cancer that captured her… but a sad end to their love story here on earth.
Love hearing the stories from you, bcsurvivor, and others about their efforts, planting, nurturing, and stewarding God’s creatures for our benefit and their own.
Changed mind about breakfast this morning and I’m pressure-potting some chicken, veg, and making a bone broth for my daughter. Will serve with cream of wheat and homemade Greek yogurt smoothies with some of the frozen peaches we processed from our Peach Truck order earlier in the summer. I’ll add some Emergen-C vitamin packs to the orange juice in the smoothie – which is helpful when fighting a cold. Great protein in the bone broth and the yogurt. She’s still sleeping and fighting a cold, but steadily getting better. The broth will be useful for her.
I think I would be in trouble with laying hens or any other livestock – I would handle them like pets and not sure I could eat one… as I shove our butcher’s chicken into a pot on the stove. I have to have someone else do the “hunting” part – because I am too soft-hearted and every beast to me is a pet.

I have two chickens. They are amazingly easy to take care of. I got ours when they were 22 weeks old. I picked them up a lot and yes they are my pets,not gonna eat them lol. I get a dozen eggs a week and they really eat very little layer feed. They get most of their nutrition from eating bugs in my garden so I really don’t have any issues with bugs on my veges.
Two chickens don’t take much room but will find a room in your heart ❤️

Fired up the insert this morning. We got a little over an inch of snow, but that was on top of the ice. Put the FJ in 4 WD to go out and get a few things. Now I’m home, there is a fire in the insert.
Totally stocked on bird and critter food. The FJ has a full tank, and the milk and bread are fresh.
Will be working on the beans and cornbread today. Gave a good bit of it to Steve and Betty.
There is nothing else we need. Now we can “lay up sorry” (an old Army saying) all day. At least until Tuesday when we have a couple of appointments.

Haven’t been posting much. Want to post “positive”, “uplifting” things… then saw the article about the young girl in Mooresville, Indiana.
Most of you know the things we have witnessed here locally.
I, too, share Dan Dale’s concern about the surveillance state and the works of the Peter Thiel and the Palantir company and the influence over the Trump administration. Also read of another SRI International company that has been working in various artificial intelligence and mind control… the creator of SIRI.
Peter Thiel is a homosexual. Another here posted about the Berkeley death cult.. financed by??? Yep… Thiel Foundation.
Brilliant children’s minds, distorted, warped, sexualities robbed and perverted.
God calls homosexual behavior an abomination. (Obama-nation)
A friend of mine… a steward and elder in a small Baptist church.. about 15 years ago grimly foretold that evil would be ushered and escalated into our world using sexual deviance and homosexuals as the vehicle.
Now as this depravity is upon us and looking to steal our children… know that the plan was set in place long ago seeded by the Alfred Kinsey Institute at Indiana University, which seeded the Hugh Hefner Playboy sexuality movement. Hefner was a Kinsey acolyte and Alfred Kinsey was a known pedophile in the “name of research” … the likes Anthony Fauci would have had wet dreams over. Kinsey actually died from sexually transmitted disease… though the public record is of cardiovascular disease and pneumonia.

It sickens me that this evil seeded in Indiana… known for its rich and fertile soil. That soil gives life… and death.

When I sit with my daughter and try to innocently watch a movie from my past… growing up in the 70s and 80s… I’m shocked at the level of sexual depravity in those “innocent” movies. I often have to apologize to her… and thus openly explain that we had no idea as kids what the “sexual revolution” was doing to us. I can’t believe I escaped it disease free… as my history was so colorful.
It leaves me like a rabid dog to protect my daughter… and you know what? She WANTS to be protected and she WANTS her person to be viewed and treated as it is the house of the Holy Spirit within her.
We are in no ways perfected… but we love the Lord and we want all to know that your body houses The Holy Spirit when you believe that Christ is your Savior and we should all act accordingly to preserve that precious gift. I feel inclined to say…. I am not against people of any race, creed, walk of life. I know some gay folks that I truly love and care about, though I do not agree with what they do. They know 100% who I am and Who I serve, yet my kindness to them and the Message of God’s Love will not change. All sin is “sin” in God’s Eyes and thus their sins are no more egregious than my own.
The difference is the pulling and coercion of others into sin… that is especially egregious. God says it is better to have a millestone thrown about their neck and for them to drown in the sea than to hurt His children… and He Means it!
The “go along to get along” is the mistake of the Revelation Nicolaitans.
When Jesus comes back again, He will have a double-edge sword of His Tongue to slay. He will go after the demons, but He also will go after the church Nicolaitans who did not remain faithful to God’s Word and who acquiesced in the demon’s world of public opinion for palatability. Jesus will look to them and He will say “I never knew ye”.
It’s no joke. Just because ten people, a hundred people, a million people say something is “okay” – it is never okay. We must remember that it is only God’s Opinion that matters and it is only His Eternal Salvation or eternal damnation to give.
We must hold fast to our faith and should someone disagree with God’s Word – well, it is God’s Word and they may take their grievances up with Him. God gives us His Word as our Guide and our method book and we choose the life path we take based upon the faith we lead to which we will all give an account in The Lord’s Presence when our time comes.
We need to be assertive protecting our children. It is not okay for evil to have even a little space.

sitting here stuck on I-71 just east of louisville KY.
as of this writing, we’ve been stuck for more than 3 hours in below freezing temp.

I think you are past that in the standing still traffic closer to downtown Lousiville. It’s blocked through the belt with 264 and if you inch up to that point turn north. If there is any opportunity to do a U turn and get out you want to do it.
If you can get to Route 42 you can probably inch North. Good luck and take cover anywhere you can – this will take 2-3 hours to clear minimum

I freely admit – I am not one to Pray, asking God for anything. My poor prayers, such as they are, express my thanks and grattitude for my life’s blessings. I find myself with a dilemma / problem and hesitate to ask for your help finding a solution. Forgive me if I am out of line.
Since the first of the year I have been suffering what is best described as a common head cold – non-stop runny nose leading to crap in lungs and coughing. Hard to breathe.
Except it’s not a cold. Its a reaction to chemicals. I passed a mold inspection, and acquired a 2nd air purifier/ filter. The hose for the o2 machine that provides extra oxygen thru the night is silicon and is latex free (not plastic).
I work with a couple of really great providers and we have explored countless possibilities – looking for contaminant sources – with zero success.
I also have hypo tension. FYI – eye pressure tends to go up at night, bp tends to go down at night. Funny stores (not). I have tried a variety of ‘natural’ remedies Then I discover they have the ‘benefit’ of lowering blood pressure.
I am left with one possible probability – I am reacting to the eye drop I must take every night to stave off eye pressure / glaucoma. If I am right in my ‘self diagnosis’, you can surmise that I am unable to even phrase an intelligent prayer request.
I guess I am hopeful that clever Treepers might be able to point me in a direction I have missed? I KNOW you prayers are powerful, but as I said, I don’t know what prayers to request. Forgive me because don’t know how to ask for help.
Apologies for jumping in, (bad habit apparently). If I may – your last sentence is your answer. So when you speak to God (pray), drop all the Titles and formality (with respect), and say those exact words to God – “Forgive me because don’t know how to ask for help.” – then go back to your first sentence and describe to God EXACTLY what you asked of duchess – in the same words. Now you are replacing duchess with God (sorry duchess 🙂 ). Now speak and pour your heart out to Him, no secrets, no hiding, just an honest conversation. (as if He doesn’t already know all the details). God WANTS to help (He is after all the MAKER), but we need to articulate exactly what we need help with – in TRUTH. I promise you that before you are finished talking, you will begin to hear the answer in your own speech. It’s no good to just request a blanket help – IE “O Lord please make everything wonderful” when a specific need or request is being asked/prayed for. May He answer all our prayers of truth.

Thanks again Duchess – but it is not an eye health problem. I am having a bad / negative physical reaction to chemicals which I cannot escape. The eye shots to prevent eye bleed are gene therapy. The cataract replacement lenses are acryllic. The nightly drops seem to be my current source of misery.
Fighting to accept the discomfort (lots of folks close by have worse problems) or on a quest to fnd answers to overcome allergic response.
Multiple problems I see – air-purifier – you tried – heard those eye drops can have nasty side effects –
All the more reason to turn to God for a solution – when there appears to be no way – God can make a way – IMHO

I fully acknowledge God’s presence in all of this. I have 3 eye docs and 3 providers working on my behalf – plus all of you wonderful support folks. I keep turning over rocks to look for gremlins.

It has been my experience – when I try to find solutions on my own – I fail miserably –
There appears to be no way I will find the answer to my dilemma – BUT – God knows – and He will guide me to the one that works – if I put my trust in Him and not in man.

PS. the problem is not new. the eye bleed was the end of July 2019 – when shots began. since then problems have accumulated. cataracts side effects. glaucoma/ pressure side effects. each solution produces more side effects – cumulative. seeming no turning back or easing up. I am a challenge to my providers . Thankful every minute of every day – my vision is stable. all 3 eye docs agree. Its trying to figure out how to keep the side effects from having a negatve effect on my sight that keeps me on my knees with thanks giving.

According to Crown Prosecution Service data obtained by The Telegraph in a Freedom of Information request, 292 people in Britain have been charged with “speech crimes” under the Online Safety Act passed into law by the previous Tory government.
Those charged include 23 for ‘illegal false communications’, often referred to as “fake news” offences. The controversial clause banned the spreading of so-called disinformation that could lead to “non-trivial psychological or physical harm”. A conviction under the legislation comes with a maximum penalty of 51 weeks in prison.
The report found that several were charged with the offence following the mass stabbing attack at a children’s Taylor Swift dance party in Southport for spreading claims online that the attacker was a Muslim migrant.
