Last night I turned on MSNBC to enjoy a little schadenfreude. It was like I was in an alternate universe. They were talking about how the President had caved to Mexico and Canada and how all his other big moves were unconstitutional and will be undone shortly.
I ended up feeling very deflated. Not sure how I’ll handle the disappointment if all or most of DOGE’s work gets clawed back.
They do their propaganda for their brainwashed audience to keep them on the dem plantation.
I have several friends and family members who watch MSNBC and CNN 24/7 and they truly live in a parallel universe.
(I also know people who only watch FAUX News, and frankly, they aren’t much better! 🙄)

Something I didn’t quite fully understand until yesterday (in fact, it was in the wee hours of the a.m. that one more piece fell into place)-
We have a family friend who is married to a Canadian. She has mentioned more than once that he doesn’t have a green card, although he has every right to one, as he’s married to an American.
She also mentioned that he gets uptight every time they return from visiting his family in Canada, because he’s afraid that this time he won’t be allowed back in the country.
He’s only here through his job. I won’t say that he’s cheap and doesn’t want to spend the money on something he doesn’t need right now, because that would be playing into ethnic stereotypes, if you get my drift.
I didn’t quite understand how he could rely on being here due to employment, when I know of others here on work visas who get booted out after a couple of years, but yesterday after I posted about the TN NAFTA Professional visas, I realized that’s what he was here working on. Unlike H1B, it can be renewed indefinitely, and also unlike H1B, there is no annual cap on the number of visas issued.
As I’ve said, this is a guy who has every right to live and work in the US, he just hasn’t finalized the paperwork.
What struck me later was a sudden understanding of why these H1B diploma mill rackets are based in Canada. If Indians from Canada get hired by US companies, they can stay here indefinitely.
So, now that Canada has put a few border restraints in place, any hopes of getting rid of the TN visa program is gone.
Elon is Canadian. He must know what a racket this is.

There are also:
L-1 and L-2
J-1 and J-2
F-1 and F-2
ESTA visas
M-1
O-1
B-1 visa abuse
B-2 visa abuse
And
ARCs – Alien Registration Cards –
‘Green Cards’ which indicate holder is an
LPR –
Legal Permanent Resident
All of these visas need to be re-examined to see if any changes need to be made.
It doesn’t have to happen today – or next week… but hopefully this administration will begin that re-examination within this year or next.

We too often erase the people who do the actual STEM research. The PhD most responsible for the GFP revolution in biology (Douglas Prasher) got to drive a shuttle bus in Alabama for his career. Those who exploited his research felt so bad that they flew him to Stokholm to watch *them* get the Nobel prize. It’s totally insane. No one knows this because we keep looking to Billionaires…those who capture the most value…to represent STEM.
STEM rests on “SCIENCE COOLIES”. That is what a UCSF lab head (PI) called his army of Chinese and Indian biologists in an interview with me around 2000: “My Science Coolies tell me…”
The absence of white kids is because they generally come from native English speaking families before the 1965 immigration act that have been in the US a long time. Thus they get accurate information that grueling STEM research careers are now a terrible investment due to STEM EMPLOYER practices (e.g. H-1B, illegal collusion, lobbying) and the abandonment of STEM by the Federal Government beginning with the Mansfield ammendment 50+ years ago. They will eventually almost all move from the lab bench, the blackboard and the command line to signing pieces of paper in VC shops or Private Equity or some such higher value endeavor. We in STEM are all being pushed from creating the value to capturing the value. It’s awful.

The administration can begin by withdrawing almost every rule, guidance letter, and regulation issued by the Department of Education – because almost all of them operate within a racialist category framework.
From No Child Left Behind to the rules about disproportionality in Special Education by race, the only thing associated with that department that is not racially based is the Federal Education Rights Privacy Act (FERPA). It may be the only thing worth keeping outside of the federal dollars to local education agencies to assistant with special needs kids (a promise that was never really fulfilled – lots of strings for a tenth of the funds that were promised at the beginning)
Anything that is not a regulation can be withdrawn immediately, as it has no force. IIRC, the DOE uses “Dear Colleague” letters to get around the pesky requirements of the Administrative Procedures Act.
Other federal agencies may use letters, guidance or something like that, that end up being enforced by the courts, but really have no regulatory effect.
And with regulations, the Trump administration can rescind them under the APA.
Obama’s “Common Core,” which states were recommended to redesign their curricula to fit, should be withdrawn.
I think most people have no idea of the wreckage that No Child Left Behind made of our school systems.

H.R. 4327 ALLOWS THE PRESIDENT TO REORGANIZE USAID INTO THE STATE DEPARTMENT.
Here is the relevant text from the Foreign Affairs Reform and Restructuring Act of 1998 (H.R. 4327):
Section 1601 of the Act, titled “Reorganization Authority,” states:
“(a) Reorganization Authority.—The President, subject to sections 1602 and 1603, is authorized to reorganize the functions and organizational units of the Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development, and other agencies engaged in foreign affairs and international development activities.
(b) Submission of Plan.—The President shall submit to Congress, not later than 9 months after the date of enactment of this Act, a reorganization plan which proposes any such reorganization. Such plan shall include—
(1) a description of the reorganization, including any transfer, consolidation, or abolition of functions and organizational units;
(2) a description of the anticipated costs, savings, and benefits associated with the reorganization;

This section outlines the President’s authority to reorganize functions and organizational units, but it does not explicitly authorize the complete abolition of USAID. Instead, it focuses on restructuring to improve efficiency and effectiveness, with the requirement that any such plan must be submitted to Congress for review.
Note that this authority is also subject to further conditions and limitations:
Section 1602 establishes limitations on the reorganization, ensuring that certain functions remain intact or are managed in specific ways.

The President may not have the authority to “abolish” any department, such as USAID.

I think the constitutionality of this would very much depend on whether those detained US citizens are “enemy combatants” subject to military justice at a level that would impact their US citizenships.
We all know Bush had CIA black sites to which US citizens were renditioned. Not good.
I doubt regular American citizens who commit some ordinary crime, like theft, can be moved abroad for incarceration.
