Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough.
They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it.
You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.

I am pretty sure deceptively editing an interview to try to sway an election, violates the whole concept of “in the public interest”, and without that licence, CBS news is worthless.

I’ve been also reading up on the Trump family’s other business ventures, especially into crypto and DeFi (decentralized finance), though I haven’t looked at crypto much in the past. Seems like the Trumps are trying to build business alternatives to traditional banking which shut down conservative platforms in the past.

WHO installs the County Recorders (the “people who count the votes”) in those key counties in each state, that contain large population centers?
They are supposed to be responsible for keeping the voter rolls clean, thats why they also record all propery sales/ownership, and it is THEY that control the election outcomes.
And, it is the State Republican Party leadership, that controls who gets those jobs, either by running them as a Republican (Red State) or by putting up no strong candidate (blue state).
So, address the State Republican Party LEADERSHIP, then the County recorders.
This will also be necesary, to seriously change election proceedures and to successfully primary incumbents in Congress.
Its vital to completing the MAGA takeover of the Republican Party, and its the one thing President Trump can’t do.

The people vote for local townships and organize into counties. A small number of state reps handle issues that counties can’t manage. And the state reps vote for federal reps, not the popular vote, which holds the federal government responsible to the state’s concerns. The federal layer has extremely limited powers, and is only concerned with borders, import/exports (tariffs) and safety (military). All other powers not specified are held by the states.
Obviously the last 130 years have been ever corrupting, from income taxes, reductions in rights, disassociation in representation. The average citizen is too busy scraping a living to worry about politics; it’s better to outsource it to a leader caste, which has since entrenched. And now it metastasized, the debt is killing the host, and we are locked in safety-theatre, infinitely entertained but never wealth building.

Expecting a bloodbath at FBI today and tomorrow. My guess is acting FBI director Brian Driscoll will be gone by this evening for defying a direct order seeking names of FBI employees—perhaps more than 6,000—involved in Jan 6 cases.
Hard to see how James Dennehy, who runs the NY FBI field office, keeps his job after sending defiant email to colleagues over the weekend promising to “dig in” and not step down or follow orders.
The NYT obtained the email.
Dennehy: “Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the F.B.I. and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and F.B.I. policy,” Dennehy wrote.
Dennehy also said the removal of top officials including at Miami and Washington field offices have caused “fear and angst within the F.B.I. ranks.”
He compared his insubordination to being a Marine “in the early 1990s, when he dug a small foxhole five feet deep and hunkered down for safety.
“It sucked,” he wrote. “But it worked.”
Don’t think this is going to end well for Mr. Dennehy.
Also it’s unclear whether every FBI employee who worked on Jan 6 “terrorism” cases will be fired. My guess is many will be asked to take their “terrorism” expertise down to the southern border or other locations where real terror threats exist.

I was called for Federal Jury Duty last year and told them they really didn’t want me to say in the open courtroom why, because of my beliefs, they didn’t want me on their jury. I will no longer be called for any federal jury duty, so it did work out well for me anyway.

There are a whole lot of highly educated people out here in their 60s, still paying for college and they never even got to get a career going.
I know many people that arrived in the workforce with a shiny new degree precisely when manufacturing was all moving to China.

Now they have two useless degrees.
Another thing that went on was that people we’re advised to get further degrees and then they wound up over qualified and too expensive- so now they never could get a job where they could put down roots.
It’s been a mess, so many people have been screwed over.
I don’t think that forgiving the college debt is the right move, BUT I do see that so many people were totally screwed over because they get advice as to what education was needed for their upcoming career- ONLY to watch that all wind up being bullshit because the career became obsolete or off shored to China.
They got left on the hook for degrees in careers that no longer exist, of course they are mad and their lives ruined.
I have no sympathy whatsoever for these government workers getting let go.

Yes. Thanks to their forced vaccine policies, I was harassed out of a 40 year career. I couldn’t go get another job in the industry because every employer in the city required candidates to have the vaccine.
At one point vaccinated employees did not have to wear a mask. I had to wear a mask, a Lloyd Austin face shield, and wear latex gloves so that I could repeatedly clean some surfaces with alcohol.
I was told by several colleagues that if unvaccinated people got covid then they should be denied hospitalization and sent home to die.
If a vaccinated employee tested positive for covid then they got 10 days paid sick leave (this was above and beyond company provided personal time off). Unvaccinated employees got NO PAID SICK LEAVE if they tested positive for covid.
I was taken into the boss’s office was given a lecture on why I need to get the vaccine and that unvaccinated people are filling up the hospitals.
It was disgusting. So I will not pray for these demons. I will not feel an ounce of pity for these losers. I hope that they reap what they have sown X10.

At the end of the day, it’s all economics. The operating costs of this solar steam plant were “too damn high”.
You have all the maintenance issues of a traditional fossil (thermal) plant; steam leaks, water distillation costs, mineral buildup, labor costs, servo motors on the sun-tracking mirror panels. A passive semiconductor panel has none of that; it just works.
If there isn’t enough benefit, the smart capital investment goes to other tech. And frankly, in the last 15 years, simple solar photovoltaic tech has greatly improved to the point that solar collector tech doesn’t make sense anymore.
Sometimes R&D means learning what NOT to do.
We need to invest in nuclear power. And put the plants in places with no threat of earthquakes.
Fox ran a segment on that last evening, with video showing a large percentage of the panels (which are made in China) broken – the entire field looked ratty and abandoned. The segment also brought out the fact how these fields are killing thousands of birds, which is horrible. I won’t go into the sickening specifics.
But it’s been highly successful at killing birds.
When I drive from LV to SoCA that solar set up is a blight on the landscape. It looks horrible.

Morning Dutch, the Immigration Act of 1965 was passed for the express purpose of changing the demographics of our country. It was never “voted” on. Would the government have to prove the “citizen’s” parents were not under the jurisdiction of the United States? What would be the elements of that argument (surely SCOTUS will not tell us). Is there a statute of limitations and how is that determined within the constitution or precedent?
I think SCOTUS is going to uphold an injunction on Trump’s XO by punting, because of the can of worms it will open. Any ruling they make — if they hear arguments — will be a ‘from here on in’.
The ruling will not be based on President Trump’s order.
It will have to be based on existing law. But that won’t be what the ruling will be.
A lawyer wanted a portion of a very small seldom used cemetery for an entrance to property he had, so he fenced it off.

I noticed that about him, even as people were struggling with their support for a man with his marital history, when he was first running for president.

It bothers me though that she is seemingly not seeing the total picture here and the money that has been stolen over many years from the American people including her. It’s a very upsetting situation all around for many honest people who truly are in the charity field because they are sincerely trying to help people. Just a different perspective from those who are not political and do not understand what and why things are happening like they are right now.
The USAID recipients are planning a protest soon. How many will show up I’m not sure. I think it might be happening in DC soon. I guess I’m just looking at this purge from another perspective today, one of good people caught in the middle as usual. It must be done, the money squandering needs to stop, no question. Just realize there are good people being affected by all of it on the other side too.

She was in SA on another job assignment when the freezing of USAID happened and watched these people who have nothing being told they callus not be treated for their HIV. She didn’t provide a lot of detail so I’m not sure re weren’t other means to help these people. Honestly, the ones who are trying to actually help others I really don’t think have a clue what USAID is really doing. They get their funding but don’t see what else USAID does with the money they have. My take anyway. I just wanted to remind myself mostly, that not everyone on the other political side is a bad person.

There are good people being harmed because they chose to work for the federal government too, and I find the rejoicing over their plight on conservative sites disturbing, myself.
Maybe that’s what Rubio meant about continuing some of the good work USAID did.
That’s the problem, these groups, like the Clinton Global Initiative, when they get called out for corruption, always have some ‘hostages’ who are going to suffer because of the meanies trying to reform them.

If the US actually invested in helping countries become self sufficient I would have no issue with aiding them in that. But no, we give them just enough aid so that they’re dependent on us. That, or we force our way in and destroy local businesses rather than encourage them.
Completely understand. I think the point that the admin needs to make is that when you take $100 from me, and spend $99 on administration and weird nonsense, and allow $1 to go to HIV patients, there is an enormous problem. And a problem of that size does require temporarily shutting everything down while you get a handle on not flushing the $99 down the toilet.
Everything has to be completely restructured to fix this, and unfortunately there may be a temporary human cost.

I knew of a teacher working in school administration (because she hated children) was making $100,000 a year (for nine months work) this was 25 years ago. They traveled extensively in foreign countries every summer for very cheap rates. It is a good scheme.

Yes and the people involved should be aware that other monies being given out by the govt. dept like USAID might not be used for charity work. I know some charities are not all about charity and hide their real purpose of skimming money for themselves. It’s sad that people would be corrupt enough to create a fund that masks itself as being all for helping those less fortunate or the sick but which uses the largest percentage of the money for pay outs to those in charge.
This was difficult to read, because it was written from your heart and yes, I can relate. Take a look at the May 2005 interview posted by nwtex earlier this morning. Not-yet-President Trump talks about how important it is to help others. His persona has not changed. Excuse the trite expression, but he does not “throw out the baby with the bath water.” As the abuse and corruption of each agency is revealed, I believe what is good will be preserved. What is beneficial to Americans will be preserved. That would include your niece’s HIV patients.
Because the USAID web site was taken down, I could not confirm whether the HIV treatments provided to “50 countries” included the U.S. If they were included, I’d guess this aspect of USAID will be taken over by another agency. This is not the definitive response you’d like to have. I just wanted to acknowledge your post with some civility.
Perhaps the HIV treatments for US patients should be taken over by Department of Health and Human Services.

PTrump is a compassionate man and I can’t believe he would just take the good parts of some of these departments away and not figure out how to maintain them. I have always said the demise (by government plan) of all the local community charity organizations, Civitan, Elks, etc was always planned to take over central control and destroy local community social cohesion. It has worked quite well……for them.
As I understand it, USAID is a see-eye-hay front org. which is being audited. If it survives, the charitable work might continue. It may well be that it doesn’t survive and a new and better run org. takes its place.
There are other legit charitable orgs. that a hard, honest worker could volunteer for.
I am being positive about it too and I think it will be fine. Americans will never stop being a charitable people. It’s part of our DNA.

I hope that your niece can be comforted by the truth that private sector workers over that last 40 years have had to go through job and career losses due to shifts in the economic landscape.
They had to go learn to code and build solar panels. They retrained themselves to join the Great New Service Industries that replaced all of the traditional ways to earn a living and raise a family.
Working in private industries were always risky choices as jobs and industries were shipped to China. Towns were decimated due to industry losses. The leaders in government did not care one bit and yet, these people managed to survive and try to continue on with their lives.
Good people in the private sector were “caught in the middle” as well. Good people.
So let your niece know that she can take her skill set and transition to another career just like many, many Americans have had to do because our government despised them.
Let their stories be her inspiration so that she is comforted in knowing that her fellow Americans lost so much and survived and she will too.

Understanding Trump’s Sovereign Wealth Fund:
How this undermines the Federal Reserve
Yesterday, among all the buzz related to Canada and Mexico tariffs, Trump began the process of establishing an American Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF). The move was almost unnoticed. In fact, it seems somewhat crazy that the US did not already have an SWF – but decades of financial mismanagement by the US government played a role.
The other reason the United States did not have an SWF is because of the Federal Reserve Bank. The creation of an SWF effectively returns financial power to the American Republic.
The following explains what it is and why it pulls power away from the Fed.
Sovereign Wealth Funds are essentially government investment programs – a nest egg of sorts.
Every single American state has some sort of publicly funded fund, usually to cover pension programs. Globally, some of the best managed countries (financially) have a SWF, including China, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Norway – among others.
The largest SWF is Norway’s, with $1.7 Trillion in assets, the proceeds of which are serving the needs of 5.5 million Norwegian citizens.
It should be noted that many poorer countries also have SWFs, often as a means to enrich kleptocrats.
Without getting into the nitty gritty, an American SWF would likely mirror a 401K type investment program.
It would hold a mixed allotment of various commodities, stocks, and bonds, which should appreciate year over year through compound interest and earnings.
Generally, SWF’s usually only rise – albeit often slowly – because they invest in safer assets, like bonds and commodities (oil, gas, gold, etc).
Stocks are often either a blue chip variety or a corporate pursuit aligned with a national interest.
The managers of the SWF are held accountable based on the performance of the SWF, which generally leads them to avoid personal passions or silly sociopolitical pursuits.
How this is structured would have to ensure that such funding is not robbed by a future leftist president who only invests in DEI, LGBTQ nonsense, or failing green energy schemes.
It also needs to be defended from being used as a money pot to increase spending arbitrarily.
That can be done, but Trump will need to recruit people who think like leftwing activists to help insulate future abuse of the SWF by another activist presidency.
When I did my MBA Capstone project on International Finance, restructured SWFs and fiscal sovereignty for the Republic of Ireland were my two key points back when Ireland was climbing out of a massive post-bank collapse indebted status.
The Irish government has since turned one SWF into a social justice piggy bank (something I feared and warned against almost 15 years ago).
Thus, Trump will need to really dot every “i” and cross every “t” to ensure that does not happen in the US. But it can be done.
Now, how does this undermine the Fed?
It immediately eliminates the Fed’s monopoly on debt management.
In essence, it crushes the Fed by acting as a counterweight to its debt/loan/repayment structure.
For those unaware, the Federal Reserve is the largest holder of US debt in the world. In effect, an unelected American quasi-government agency holds about one-third of our massive debt.
The Fed literally makes money on American spending, by charging interest back to the American people.
The reason politicians ignore the debt is that they know it is a ponzi scheme.
The more we spend, the higher the Fed can raise rates, the more it makes, the more it can re-loan… cycle, repeat.
It is a shylock’s dream (look up what a shylock is and you will quickly see the main culprits).
If the US has an SWF that is structured to meet some of its budgetary needs (as with Norway), the US will not need to turn to the Fed as its default move.
The money can be withdrawn from proceeds off earnings, which cuts the Fed out of its loan shark game – or at least diminishes it.
👉🏻By establishing an alternative pot of money, Trump is weakening the Fed almost overnight.
In business, such redirected investments protect against hard times and mitigate predatory banking manuevers.
An SWF – if it is built correctly – can do that for the American people.
It is a smart move by the Trump team – IF they can pull it off and insulate it from wild leftist pursuits.
The latter is easier said then done.
One option is to study the investment strategies of Jimmy Patronis, former CFO of Florida, who led Florida to multi-billion year-over-year surpluses without an income tax while crushing Blackrock.
Other funds that should be studied are out of the UAE and, of course the most successful of them all, Norway.
This can be a huge win for Americans – if the Fed doesn’t kill the idea in its infancy, or the leader who proposed the idea.
