Our “representatives” don’t represent us… they represent their ulterior motives. Not even “special interest”… these are nefarious motives.

I want to explain what’s going on with the fed employee “buy out”. The images of the offer showing paid until September are correct (while working), but they’re leaving off the other half of the letter which basically states that those willing to give their all in service by not accepting are not guaranteed jobs after a year but “you will be dealt with respectfully”. New guidance just came out urging agencies to put anyone who accepts the buy-out to be put on administrative leave so even if good people want to make sure they hand off duties responsibly, they won’t be able to. None of this is well thought out or respectful. It’s just like being bullied under Biden for not taking the vax. I’m sick of being ostracized- first as a veteran after 9/11 when we were called baby murderers, shit thrown at us, and refused services; then as vax deniers during covid; and now as deep staters just because we hold a federal job. We’ll try selling our home and leave this shit state of Virginia because we won’t be able to afford living here, but will likely end up losing it. I’m sure that will be cheered on as our just reward by many though. And here I thought I was fed up when the election was stolen. Hah. It’d be worth it if it government gets fixed and remains fixed, but it won’t.

I try daily to “let go” of what was lost… but the mourning hasn’t ended, nor do I really feel I’ve had the girth to even begin truly mourning. We are too busy trying to survive.
I’m due a really hard cry and want to punch something REALLY HARD.
These demons in our government – on both sides – are just SO GROSS. The danger these people pose has truly disastrous consequences. Some get to be immune with their positions and wealth, but there are many who are not so fortunate and truly feel the chains of their slavery. I am one of them and I am pissed.
It is probably better I don’t listen to these things, but I feel I must because we need to watch what these jackals are doing.

Would you believe I started to write my next post … a revelation that I have a family. Specifically, I have sisters. You may find that trite, but I have been wallowing in lonesome self pity … mourning my loss of Doc in September. The walls of my lonely room do close in on me.
But during the night it hit me. My ‘viewpoint’ is in need of a reset.
I admit, nothing diminishes the mourning … not for you, not for me.
Maybe, however, there are some gems to be found. I vow to treasure each of the precious people around me.

You are perfectly within your rights mourning Doc. It is still fresh and the vacuum they leave never goes away.
Our lonely room, too, is very small. It is just the two of us here. No one left… died too soon, stolen from our lives due to the depravity, or voluntary isolation because we refuse to succumb and be silenced by congregations set at pacifying us and who are not following God’s Word in their preaching or leading. I can’t place my daughter or me under their authority. Only God for us and His Word stands firm in our hearts and souls.
However, we can be each others’ sisters and brothers. The tapestry of Christ’s family woven together by God Himself. Sharing and walking life together and holding each other in Spirit when there are tears. We all GET it.

I thought she would jump the table to hug him. They were so kind to her. About 200 people who were going backstage with us sang “Happy Birthday” to her and a small handful of others who shared that day. We didn’t get home until 3 AM…

Well the husband of my oldest Granddaughter lost his job at the VA due to Trumps cuts. He had nothing to do with DEI. His job was to find jobs for veterans. He had gotten nothing but excellent evaluations from his supervisors. He was told by his boss he could either resign or get fired.
Man, Rob… I am so sorry. I keep thinking about all the immigration “recruiters” that called us trying to get us to hire illegals. They even told us they were WITH the government!!! Kind of felt like a TRAP. We tried a military recruiter, because we would love to hire our service personnel, but had zero luck with it. It is my hope that your granddaughter’s husband finds an EVEN BETTER JOB that will turn out to be an unexpected blessing. God love him.

Our government has been spending like a drunken sailor and cutbacks were inevitable in any case. The nation will have to rein in expenses. I fear for my Social Security, but hope things will reorganize with minimal pain to all.
When the Soviet Union collapsed, people were set adrift. A friend’s husband traveled back to Siberia year after year to set a garden, so his elderly mother would have enough to eat during the rest of the year. Her pension had collapsed with the former government. We will have to organize to care for wach other, like Western North Carolina… which by the way is now having a wildfire near Bat Cave.
Prayer for Serenity 1: When Things Seem Out of Control
You did everything you could to assure a positive outcome, but it didn’t turn out the way you wanted or expected. We’ve all been there. It tests our faith. Maybe you accept the outcome or maybe you’re frustrated. God wants to help you put the situation into perspective and remember that he is always in control of every situation—even those you so desperately want to control.
Dear Lord, It feels like everything is out of control in my life right now. I know good things are happening too but the stress is overshadowing them. I wanted a better answer, things to change, but my hopes are dashed. Many people try to comfort me by saying that you’re in control, but it doesn’t bring me comfort. It seems condescending.
Lord, I want to understand and discern the plans you have for me. Father, restore my faith as I trust that you’re omniscient and I’m not. Envelope me with your peaceful balm to soothe my questioning mind. Remind me that you hold the whole world in your hands and all things work for good to those who believe in you. I do believe! Amen

Prayer for Serenity 2: When Anxiety Overtakes Rationality
God didn’t create doubt, anxiety, or worry. Satan did to rob us of our joy, peace, and sleep. God knows common sense can flee when we’re under stress, so he gave us a remedy when we experience mind hijackers: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”
(1 Peter 5:7). Charles Spurgeon advised that, “Our anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength.”
Lord, you know how irrational I can become when I’m anxious. I can’t reign in my thoughts. Instead of expecting the best, I worry and wonder. I fret. My stomach churns, my heart races, and I can’t take my mind off the issue. I know you don’t want me living in a constant state of turmoil. It’s not good for my physical or mental health. It makes people around me miserable and keeps me living in a perpetual state of chaos instead of calmness, which I crave.
Father, you tell me in your Word to cast all my anxiety on you and so I’m doing that in this prayer. I lay at your feet the things I’m struggling with and I implore you Lord to free my mind of concerns. Remind me please to take deep breaths and trust that you can make a way even when the path is not visible to me. Father, please lead me to refreshing Scriptures when I feel anxiety approaching. The Holy Spirit fills me with the serene peace and joy of the Lord. Amen

Prayer for Serenity 3: When Fear Overcomes Faith
Faith is the opposite of fear. The antidote to fear is to renew and reaffirm your trust in God when things are going well, when things look bleak, and every time in between. Don’t doubt him. Realize and internalize that God’s got this and he’s way ahead of us. Elisabeth Elliot once said, “Fear arises when we imagine that everything depends on us.”
Scriptures remind us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). In times of trial, we may find ourselves by God’s grace able to overcome our fears quickly, or it could be an extended journey. The triumph will be worth the struggle as it draws us closer to God when we go straight to prayer and reliance on him.
Dear Father, I’ll admit that I’m fearful right now. My world seems unsteady and unpredictable and I’m afraid. I want to trust you in all circumstances. Please help me rely on you and avoid the instigators of fear. When I’m tempted to turn on the news, nudge me to pick up my Bible. When conversation becomes uncomfortable, please give me words to change the subject.
Lord, my hope is in you. Your Word always brings calmness to my soul and your presence in prayer is soothing and restful. I will not be afraid. I love you Lord and know that you first loved me. Prayer for Serenity 4: When What-if’s Overshadow What-Is
In Everyday Brave, I admit that I’m an overthinker and a perfectionist.
Overthinkers imagine all the things that could go wrong or could happen. We wake up in the middle of the night ‘what-iffing’ and often create our own stress. We anticipate the worst in the future, robbing ourselves of the joys of the present. Overthinkers create problems in our minds that don’t exist and probably won’t ever occur. Perfectionists second-guess ourselves, never thinking we’re good enough or smart enough. Many don’t even try for fear of failure.
Lord, imagining future problems and never being satisfied with my, or others, performance doesn’t make me happy. I’m awful. I try to cope in my own strength and expectations instead of depending on you. Please teach me how to focus on actual circumstances and let go of those I fabricate. I waste so much of my life in a perpetual state of unrest.
You are my strong fortress, my anchor, my source of joy, serenity, and peaceful thoughts. Keep me grounded on the firm foundation of your Word and your ways. Guide me on paths of righteousness. You are the truth, the way, and the life. Amen
Prayer for Serenity 5: When You Want to Give Up or Give In
Stress is debilitating. Even with our best intentions, the weight of whatever is bothering us can defeat our motivation to rectify the situation. We feel helpless and hopeless. It seems easier living with the source of our stress than praying to God for how we should respond. Often, he will direct us to take no action. It’s not our battle this time.
Other times, he wants us to be resilient, resourceful, and rectify the situation remembering: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
Dear Lord, please refresh me with your living water. Let the Holy Spirit flow over me. Remind me that this world is not my home and to keep my eyes looking heavenly. I can so easily lose sight of you in the midst of my problems and the world’s craziness.
Others are watching how I react to stress and difficulties. They need to see that my dependence is on you. My source of hope is you working in ways I might not see.
I want to be an encouragement when asked how I can still have a smile on my face and joy in my voice as I carry on in the midst of stressful times. Please don’t let darkness overtake me Lord as I seek your face in morning’s light and the stillness of night. I will not be discouraged for I know the Lord my God is with me wherever I go. Praise you Father. Amen

President Trump signed an executive order protecting parents’ rights in K-12 schools and stripping funding from schools who indoctrinate students with radical gender ideology. Many schools have secret gender plans to trans kids behind parents’ backs as well as secret LGBTQ clubs. This all stops now. We will expose any school caught still doing this. This madness must end!!
Yeah… forgive me for stating the obvious… but what happens to all of us who had to PULL our kids from the schools, especially when our children were threatened and discriminated against for our religious and political beliefs? Cost me $6,000 to bring her home for her senior year. She only needed two credits to graduate. The school district owes me some money and high school diploma!!!
And we have a whole lot of student who have serious learning gaps because of the garbage teaching shoved down their throats. These students deserve the ability to return voluntarily to a classroom atmosphere to correct the wrongs and build their fundamentals… and not cost the parents a fortune trying to remediate the gaps in college (if one can find a college that isn’t “woke”).
Jwoo. I absolutely understand your frustration. The costs of pulling your kids from public school are enormous. I don’t regret doing so, but it sure is a sacrifice that should not have to be made! Is it too much to ask that school be a place where kids’ minds and souls are safe??
