The reason that smallpox was eradicated was that it was a virus that exculsively affected humans. Coronaviruses, on the other hand, can affect multiple species and have high rates of mutation so it is not possible to create an effective vaccine against those viruses.

Other vaccines have done amazing good for preventing many other diseases including measles, a virus borne exclusively by humans. Or maybe the during the trucker revolt. Anyway she was lip synching behind her mask and making exaggerated head movements . I thought she was on drugs. Later the embedded video of the sign language person was placed over her image even though it was also embedded in the other side of the screen. They were trying to cover up her very odd behavior. Then when it was her time to speak she became normal. It was very odd. Almost like someone or something had control of her brain.

I don’t get this whole thing about measles. Once upon a time, this was considered a normally childhood illness. No one was afraid of it. As a matter of fact, if your child got measles, all the neighborhood mothers would send their children into your bedroom in the hopes that they would catches measles as well, and get natural immunity. Now suddenly we hear about children dying all over the place from this illness and that they are all in danger without a vaccine. I wonder how those of us from an earlier time were able to survive.

Because back then, people knew how to recognise and treat the children when they got the measles, and to keep any pregnant women well away, as they were the only ones endangered…
