I’m not feeling any better about it, you guys know EXACTLY WHY. However, it’s good to know that President Trump is at least concerned about the potential runaway process within automated Artificial Intelligence.
During an interesting interview aboard Air-Force-One on the return from Las Vegas, President Trump was asked whether he was concerned about “artificial super intelligence” or fully automated AI. President Trump said it was the first question he asked the AI team (Musk, Sacks, presumably Ellison and Altman). Trump expressing the concern that it could be, “the rabbit that got away.”
The entire interview is loaded with some really interesting topics and insight; however, the AI comments come at 12:42 (prompted):
.
I also want to remind everyone that a DHS memo was issued on August 8th, 2023, discussing using AI as a tool for the domestic surveillance of American Citizens.
DHS’ AI task force is coordinating with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency on how the department can partner with critical infrastructure organizations “on safeguarding their uses of AI and strengthening their cybersecurity practices writ large to defend against evolving threats.”
What are those critical infrastructure organizations? They include voting systems. Who or what are those evolving threats? You!

[SOURCE]
Take out the word “improper” and the admission is, DHS uses AI to profile, target and discriminate. In the second sentence, DHS currently participates in systemic, indiscriminate and/or large-scale monitoring, surveillance, or tracking of individuals. The only thing those sentences in the paragraph say, is that DHS will not allow AI to create improper outcomes within a system they outline that already exists.
Stop and reread that last sentence as much as needed.
Inasmuch as this DHS guidance is telling us the rules for Homeland Security (DHS) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as they use AI, they are also outlining what current processes of surveillance would be enhanced by it.
The surveillance state comes from the creation of the Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) which is an entirely inward-looking agency. Prior to the Patriot Act, the surveillance sweep searching for terror threats focused outward, looking outside the U.S borders. The Patriot Act took the surveillance sweep a full 360 degrees and looked inside the Homeland for terror threats. Hence, DHS was created.
The office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) was also created by the Patriot Act, and was specifically created as the pivot point to combine the surveillance sweeps. The Pentagon and CIA intel agencies sweeping outside the U.S. and the DHS sweeping inside the U.S.
It was the creation of The Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) that destroyed what remained of privacy protections within the constitution (4th amendment). Americans are no longer secure in their ‘papers and effects’, nor protected by the ‘probable cause’ need for warrants. The erosion of the 4th amendment was absolutely connected to the creation of DHS; there is zero doubt about this cause and effect.
With the ODNI and DHS created, the sub-silos of the surveillance state then began. The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) is one agency within the Dept of Homeland Security that was an outcome. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also gained massive tools within this new system.
The key point behind all of this context is what I refer to as the ‘Surveillance State.’ American citizens have lost all privacy protections within this new system of surveillance, that has extended far beyond even what most people fathom.
When you understand the root origin of the Surveillance State, then the discussion turns to what we have accepted within its creation, and what is the current status of American Liberty as an outcome of it.
The fact that this system was weaponized by Barack Obama and Joe Biden to target their political opposition is only one aspect of this dynamic. Yes, it is a big issue, and yes what they did was horrific, corrupt and in my opinion unlawful. However, their ability to weaponize this system only existed because the domestic surveillance state was created and authorized by the legislative branch of government.
Now we are left arguing about who controls a system that should never have been authorized.
All of President Trump’s cabinet and key appointments carry the same outlook toward the surveillance state. They fundamentally believe the system is needed, the DHS system holds national security value, and the capacity within the DHS system is only a problem when corrupt political operatives are in charge of it. If good, virtuous and moral people are in charge, the DHS surveillance system is okay.
To be clear and fair to readers, I disagree with the Trump administrations’ foundational perspective of the Surveillance State. I do not believe the system holds greater benefit than it does cost. However, that is not the primary reasoning for my opposing viewpoints.
There are two larger issues within this surveillance state. The first, is the potential weaponization of it; this is a simple matter of accepting the historic reality of it. The second issue is an issue that will surface quickly in the next few years, just as rapidly as the advances in technology that support it.
There are going to be tiers of people who are not subjected to the rules of the Surveillance State. There are going to be tiers of people, powerful, influential, some intensely rich people, to whom the application of the surveillance does not exist.
Inside the surveillance system, supported by the policy team behind President Trump, there will be classes of people. Just as we defined “essential workers” within the COVID-19 pandemic. This essential group will be classed based on their administrative value to the government operators who control the mechanics of outcomes; perhaps “essential administrators.” This is a natural outcome of the mindset behind “continuity of government,” the baseline for the Patriot Act creation.
The tools created by Palantir et al, are multifunctional. They can be used by the Pentagon and CIA for military application, and they can be used by DNI, DHS, FBI and TSA for domestic application. Just as the Patriot Act redefined “terror threats” to begin sweeping 360 degrees, so too are the tools of the surveillance state designed for both foreign and domestic application.
There is no way to avoid being the target of a weapon once that weapon is created. However, unlike the mutually assured destruction within the nuclear analogy, there will be no threat of mutual application within the surveillance bomb.
I am optimistic President Trump will eventually support our liberty position; in fact, I do not question that at all. However, we must accept the consequence of that moment happening, and the non-alignment in principle being quite likely going to make the technocratic MAGA billionaires shift from allies to adversaries.
Peaceniks don’t build bombs; and those who genuinely believe in liberty [looking at you Thiel] do not build or support domestic surveillance networks that can be weaponized depending on who is in power.

AI is not what people think, it’s a ruse to monitor and control people & has nothing to do with consciousness or intelligence.
Not at all true, Andy. To play with it, I used ChatGPT to rewrite my resume. It did an amazing job and I asked it “Can I use this or would this be considered some kind of plagarism?” It responded “Be my guest.”
Artificial intelligence is not “artificial” at all. It reminds me of the algorithm from Pandora music app where you can up vote or down vote certain songs to create the algorithm to what you “like”. Now I can sit for hours while working and be perfectly “contented” by listening to just the music I love. Pandora can tell whether I am happy, sad, or mad…. just by the music I play in context.
It is reading and performing on our emotions and forecasting our next moves. This is absolutely real and runs on huge wads of data that we all freely gave up to load those funny little apps on our computer power houses that are held in our hands and we use to text our kids.
It knows how much “free time” we spend away from reality. It knows our secrets and our desires and what attracts us or repels us.
All are building algorithms and predicting where we go, and when. (GPS and mapping apps) Foods you like. Restaurants and stores you frequent. Weight and health concerns as you track your steps and calories.
We’ve quite deliberately plugged ourselves into our computer. Only a matter of time before we are symbiotic with the computers. How about we all perform an experiment and relinquish our smart phones, computers, and smart devices… for one week. Could we do it?
You just explained how Andy’s statement is completely true.
LOL
Yup.
It has everything to do with consciousness and intelligence. That’s where Andy was wrong.
It has everything to do with information. We human beings have everything to do with consciousness and intelligence. Can it mimic those qualities. You betcha. And it can do it extremely well and very quickly if enough info is put into it.
Maybe Andy is AI?
Last I checked, I was intelligent so no lol.
It has everything to do with being programmed.
The programmers are the birth parents.
So the real argument here lies elsewhere than AI – a blanket term for a whole slew of technologies. Where are the solutions to be applied? And are these government enforced?
Is it the data collected?
Is it the detection systems?
Is it pervasive oversight of how data/technology are used?
Is it the “permissible” domains of application?
Is it the algorithms?
Is it the legal framework?
Is it guaranteed jobs in perpetuity for folks displaced by technology?
Is it mammoth class action suits?
Is the response a surgical strike or the political equivalent of fire bombing?
Is this a public concern that likens AI to bioweapons/chemical weapons labs thus requiring international treaties and monitoring?
It is all of the above, and when you mix all with a criminal mind, you have a problem,
Well, then, we must eliminate all weapons any future criminal mind might apply against We the people.
Gun control is back in play? Second Amendment covers that. Maybe the discussion devolves back to the fourth amendment. AI doesn’t surveil people, people do….or some such.
Again, I get the risk.
I’m just not reading any concrete solutions for how this should be managed – especially without the enforcement influence of the very organ every one is afraid of…..government.
I suggest all free thinking people purchase a copy of the constitution/bill of rights/amendments, because if there was ever a fire like the great library of Alexandria, it would all become digitized, and digitization becomes Orwell’s barn door!
I wish I still had my old set of encyclopedias! I do have a hard copy dictionary and the the Declaration, Constitution and Bill of Rights. We all should have a copy of the founding documents at home — especially since our 250th birthday will be celebrated next year!
AI can’t be managed because humans always want to run the show. Someone, or some group, will eventually get AI working for themselves and against everyone else.
AI is created by fallible humans. It’s bound to fail in one way or the other.
IMO, it’s hubris to think otherwise.
AI is by definition artificial, or FAKE intelligence. It’s certainly not the real thing, and it never will be, because it isn’t human.
But that is all a distraction.
What if there were a global elite bent on employing AI nanotech to strip human beings of *our* ability to think? We already know they wish to control our minds using outside tools like propaganda and censorship. Some of us consume it; Others do not.
What if AI coupled with mRNA nanotechnology is the means to *insert* artificial thoughts inside of our cerebral cortexes? Then there will be no need for (fake) news outlets or any other outside media sources. Satellites and 5G towers will take their software updates directly into our brains.
That is what this is all about: Allowing our brains to be hardwired for future software updates. This is the stuff of transhumanism.
Astute…Thanks.
And I’d say a lot of the globalists have a criminal mind set because they do not believe in the Almighty Living God. They worship themselves and have no respect for the human being as God intended. No conscience, no boundaries. That leads to destruction.
Exactly
Many do believe in God, but believing in God doesn’t make our morals right. No man’s morals are 100% correct. Neither Adams, Moses, David the shepherd/King, Job, Peter, Paul.
The only thing artificial about AI is that it is preprogrammed to increasing levels of complexity. It is the same as our thinking.
It is the modern day equivalent of the tower of Babel and God didn’t like it, because they felt they were smarter than God. No spiritual humility.
Everything we do and say is already recorded in the universe, it is all we can do to refine our thinking toward perfection, whether we believe God is the author and definition of perfection or not.
Our best protection, both individually, and as a community (family, church, city, nation, world) is to humble ourselves and seek Truth in faith that a Loving God is the author of Truth and the best way to a fully “self” actualized life. (Actually a God actualized life is a higher goal than Mazlov’s self actualized life)
Yeah, Bond villain problems!
Is it compliant with the Bill or Rights? (given to us by God not man)
For sure it’s a weapon. I’m old enough to remember when people used maps, read book, wrote receipts and slid credit cards. Do computers make life easier, yes but the price is high. Society & people were happier & healthier. AI is just code for entrenching a foot harder on our necks.
Completely false. It’s what they want you to believe. It’s all about the algorithm.
Who creates the algorithm?
Humans are imperfect beings.
Even their best efforts are subject to failure.
It’s a problem both individually and collectively.
There have been algorithms since the beginning of man. The only difference is today those algorithms are on steroids with the aid of computers.
Artificial intelligence is programmed intelligence. It has been being programmed long before computers. Computers have just sped up the process.
The solution is for mankind to collectively define what/who is good, and then seek to be transformed continually by that definition.
For the Christian, then answer is simple, but the path can be complex: God is Good, God became flesh and demonstrated what good is, and made a way for us to deal justly with our imperfections. Our job is to accept the gift, and seek/love Him and set our lives to accomplishing His purpose: To reflect and glorify him by the power that is evident when we submit our lives to him in faith.
Yes I could, and I would challenge people to take it up with the supreme court that cell phones, and computers are an infringement on privacy, and speech.I don’t have a cell phone, but my husband is FORCED to have one so he can work!
Our laziness has destroyed us, and its just that simple.
Operation Stargate is Warpspeed x1000
’how to you absolve yourself from a mistake?’
its not simply surveillance
its prescriptive analytics, prescribing actions, manipulating you to do things for your own reasons
AI will still need to be audited by auditors. Prepare to see EY, PWC, Deloitte, and KPMG open AI audit divisions.
There will be countless challenges to AI over the years.
I actually got to take on AI from Google before any of this got this far. My buddy is a senior engineer from Google. I was working on a brief for the IRS on a sensitive topic, as I am a former big 4 auditor.
My buddy was hyping up the program so much and was so confident. So I told him what I wanted to know, and he entered. HOLY COW, the Google super machine was so WRONG. I told him that it was so wrong that it was dangerously concerning. It literally gave the answer that most Americans wanted to hear, but the reality was it was a 180 from what was happening with this certain tax credit situation.
I’m not impressed. I think some of the comments here about it being over trusted are true, but also that’s why there will be challenges and audits. People better not just trust this stuff without pushback or we have a problem.
They better not trust AI under any circumstances, period.
Humans create AI.
Humans are fallible, regardless of how intelligent they might be.
I truly believe that the election of Trump will be the last REAL election anyone will see in their lifetime. The data gathering from individuals will allow the deep state 4yrs to tailor a candidate that fits everyone’s needs, and everyone will be happy to vote for.
Putin clearly stated whoever wins the AI war will rule the world. Imagine being able to data collect, and use AI for total life psychological breakdowns on military generals, and world leaders. You could predict their every move and take them out, and their countries.
It is going to be so much harder to wrestle our freedom back.
We will see the collapse of the SMART infostructure and possibly the electrical grid.
Best to not need an app to do your laundry or drive your car.
My wife is starting to understand why I rarely use gps and take a different route as often as possible. Appreciate ya
When’s the last time we tried to buy a road map? We don’t even know each others’ phone numbers anymore. Everything is done FOR us. We can be content to be helpless. Appreciate you, too, brother. We spur each other on to critical thought and seeing the traps laid before us.
I download maps off DuckDuckGo and print them
My wife and I just took a road trip and we used a map. What fun we had.
From their earliest days we have taught our children and grandchildren to use and read road maps AND topographic maps when camping and hiking. GPS and smartphones might work — often do not correctly. How many of you have ended up on dead-end roads or going thru neighborhoods you would not have chosen?
Or ‘driven off the end of a dock’… as some idiot 9apparently) did. No GPS for me, ever! I rely on my memory to find my way.
“go down this road a mile or two and turn left”… look for a red mailbox”
I can imagine!
I love maps. I love seeing where we’re going and where we’ve been. I love road trips. Plan to take one this year to celebrate our country.
I was thinking about that the other day actually. 20 years ago i spent real dollars on a 7 county detailed mapbook of Chicagoland. I haven’t seen one in so long…
4 months ago i had to be airlifted to the hospital from a real bad hit n run accident. They woke me up at the hospital to tell me they needed to operate on me and all i could think to say was my wifes name and phone number. She used to never remember my number but she hasnt forgotten it since. But i tell you 40 years ago i had 40+ numbers memorized
Too bad you can’t find other things to do with the new time freed up!
Too bad this incomplete argument does not consider the costs of both options for completing a task!
It’s an argument that ultimately is an attack on character and not technology.
It also has unsavory implications for choice. I do agree with a piece of your argument. Don’t like it? Don’t use it. But I reserve the right to decide for myself. And I might find very utilitarian ways to use the relinquished time for self-improvement, assistance to others, exploration, discovery, etc.
Who creates the technology? Humans
Are you ready to blindly trust them where AI is concerned?
I don’t blindly trust anyone, even myself.
When I see how fellow ‘humans’ vote and believe in government, schools, law, crime, punishment…I am very worried…
How true. Gas stations used to give away free road maps, and organizations like AAA used to mail you driving directions that included them.
True.
Then again, maps did not update with changes in roads, speed limits, measures, points-of-interest, etc., in anything remotely approaching a near-real time manner.
It was more uncertain that all previous holders of older maps could be notified and updated with changes.
One couldn’t share a hardcopy of a map and use the same map simultaneously – unless another hardcopy was obtained.
I was living in the DC area when the random gas station sniper murders unfolded back in 2002. People were afraid to drive; afraid to fill their gas tanks. The whole city was in a state of alarm. Folks had a different disposition when government decided it needed pervasive camera technologies in arteries leading in/out of the city. My point? Whatever evolves is not going to be zero or one solution. AI guardrails are going to reflect risk trade-offs and what society is prepared to accept.
Excellent thoughts. I’ve been on that track for a very long time. Realizing what the traps are is the first step. Disentangling is the next. Alternative pathways can be developed.
I’d keep it all away from kids. When they get older, explain the dangers. So many children have been relinquished to it already.
I found out the hard way the GPS cannot be trusted. I used to travel to France alone and depended on the GPS to navigate me in a foreign country. Unfortunately, I began to get suspicious when it seemed the GPS was taking me the long way to a destination. When I got home I tested it. I put in the address of a friend who lived a few miles from me. The GPS took me completely out of the way by several blocks when I just needed to turn left at the first intersection drive several miles and turn left to arrive at her house. Then I knew for sure. Never trusted it again.
Similar story….When I am in the Northern burbs of Chicago, and its done this since 2018…the gps takes me on routes on the ‘toll roads…every time and cannot get out of that loop.
I treat the gps exactly like I do the fake news mockingbird media. If gps diverts me to an alternate route, I consider doing the exact opposite.
For one thing, if every other car on the road is being directed the same exact way by their gps, I prefer to take the route that nobody else is taking. This philosophy has worked out well for me in other areas of my life. Driving is no exception.
Yes, I agree that life was a LOT better before smart technology. But even if we’re driving smart cars, we don’t necessarily have to listen to them.
I get my maps from Triple AAA. And keep a Contact Book (hard copy) with all my phone numbers and e-mail addresses. I’m an accountant by nature and trade–conservative–it’s my personal default system. And always have a backup system.
Old time nomenclature: four-in-the-floor and a 5th under the seat.
My old friend, an engineer from Boeing, had over 500 phone numbers memorized. I never wanted to work that hard.
I’m seriously considering setting up my old rolodex for a hard copy back-up.
Do you remember Franklin planners, Covey planners. They were awesome. You almost cannot do that with software tools available now. For a long time I just thought I was naive and didn’t know how to use the calendar/planning software like others can.
Now I wonder if they have eliminated good productivity tools from us on purpose. Making it harder to do what we used to do before, taking advantage of our needs and growing dependence on tools to extract more information and money.
Make more bricks with less straw, and pay more for the water and clay and molds.
Well, I was able to wrest a city street map from the hands of Triple A a few months ago, but it took about 15″ of relentless browbeating.
One of the casualties of my recent move was throwing out all of my Triple A Tour Books. I had assembled a large collection from a combination of work and travel, and they were a resource I used over and over. I’m sorely tempted to buy some from Ebay.
That Metro Map Book series of spiral bound street map books was also invaluable. It has also been discontinued but you can sometimes find them on Ebay.
Always believed that that was part of the reason for the cash for clunkers program by the Obama administration, along with the destruction of almost a million older cars. Majority of the older cars they destroyed not only could be repaired easier but did not have tracking devices on them. Today’s autos are not only have tracking devices, are more expensive to repair but one needs expensive equipment to be able to diagnose what is wrong with the car.
Agree – I will never buy a new car – only the old reliable ones for me.
Or run your ‘fridge and monitor your milk use to tell you to go buy more…
I feel there are many in MAGA country who don’t understand and subscribe to the “if you’re not doing anything wrong then you have nothing to worry” line of thinking.
You’ll know you’re not doing anything wrong when we (the government) say so.
And that definition is constantly changing to suit TPTB!
So are you proposing no government at all?
I would propose that government be pared down and responsive to the needs of American citizens, not vice versa. I would propose an immediate return to Constitutional law, and free elections that represent the will of the people.
Almost none, thanks. 1. Enforce ‘just’ Laws. 2. keep the infrastructure maintained. 3. Stay out of my way.
It’s not just MAGA or Conservatives. My millennial kids both have that mindset and they are far from Conservative.
Tell the multitude of persecuted J6ers what they did wrong and why they shouldn’t worry.
“…asked the AI team (Musk, Sacks, presumably Ellison and Altman).”
That, in itself, is laughable.
I agree with SD. Skynet is coming/here.
What do people (or POTUS) expect the tech oligarchs to say? That’s like the stories I continuously get at the range. Check out the bore on the new guy’s guns at the desk and here comes the stories about their rifle putting 5 shots in the same hole at 250 yards. It’s just the “wind” when you watch their targets downrange and then ask “how’d ya do.”
Or, just insert your favorite fish story right here.
Or, just ask about their first date when they went all the way with that untouchable prom queen.
The best thing you can do is live in a rural area with no IP cameras and take a 4 pound ball peen hammer to your smartphone.
Going off grid kept coming to my mind as I skimmed through everything…We can say “NO” to it all.
On bike since tires carry RFID and carry significant data about vehicle.
I think we are all becoming more and more on the grid no matter what. There were satellites 20 years ago that could read the VIN on a car. Everything we do leaves a mark
“What we do in secret is shouted from the rooftops”
The only reason we all have hope right this minute is due to the overwhelming goodness we see in PDJT and the MAGA nation. But we don’t have enough.
Our best return individually, family, community, and as a nation is to multiply the goodness in ourselves and share it as fast as we can with everyone.
“Use the force” is not an empty directive. “Live by the Spirit” is not a religious principle. It is a fundamental, universal Truth.
Best answer.
AI requires tremendous space and energy. Hoping that slows its growth. Still cant get a decent cell signal at home in a major meteoplotian area on the west coast of Fl.
So, we know the IRS has been weaponized against political enemies while others are granted an immunity pass.
We know the same has happened in the justice system, TSA, on and on.
Potential, therefore cannot be the primary motivation here. We aren’t abandoning the functional purposes of those systems/institutions.
Is this a matter of scale? Scope? Is it a matter of finely defined law?
To date, I have yet to read any proposed solutions and appropriate scope other than Luddite calls for complete elimination.
I understand the abstract ideas in play. What I have not heard are in-depth proposed solutions.
There are none
perhaps amendments to constitution
but right now we are barreling towards Tech Apartheid Oligarchy
We are already covered by the Constitution. The problem is that The Powers That Be feel no such compunction to follow it. Possibly we can urge Lawmakers to pass laws that allow us to sue the pants off the “tech bros”.
“To date, I have yet to read any proposed solutions and appropriate scope other than Luddite calls for complete elimination.”
It is hard even to imagine regulation or laws limiting the Liberty-eroding monster we are creating. And even if we limit ours, others in the world are creating theirs.
Maybe a new 4th Amendment, adding “machine-supported surveillance” to the list of threats (“searches and seizures”) to Liberty?
The best solution is to avoid AI period because humans create it.
Throughout recorded history, humans have proven they cannot be trusted.
This is true in every single part of the world.
It’s the same problem that the development of the atom bomb presented. We, the US let the genie out of the bottle.. and the ongoing problem became “ how to keep the technology out of evil hands”
Evil exists in the world. It’s how we the American People manage the technology for the good of mankind, and not let the evil ones do what they do… Only God has the decision on outcomes in the end.
I disagree partially with the “We” part if it connotes responsibility. The Germans and others were well on their way to following some of the implications of E= MC(squared) to weaponized and non-weaponized solutions.
Otherwise, IMO, your second para is spot on at the 10,000 foot level.
Who are the evil ones?
God knows who the evil ones are…
Why did Trump even give this a spotlight on the 2nd (?) day of his term? Very bad vibes. Very ugly.
Possibly in the spotlight because the Chinese has released their own version of Chat GTP.
Deepseek is Just as good or better for a fraction of the price. All those Tech Sanctions and Chip bans we have put on China have done no good. China has developed their own AI. The genie is out of the bottle.
When is Trump going to realize? Sanctions are STUPID. They Do No Good! Sanctions will only alienate us from the world and hurt us.

“The Nation that leads in AI will rule the world”
Vladimir Putin
As much as I hate it and rail against it, it must be faced head on. I think that is what Trump is doing.
For me, I can easily put my Luddite hat on and call it a day.
“I can easily put my Luddite hat on and call it a day.”
Same here, but what of the youngsters who literally think its their right hand?
Hoping its 5D chess to wake people up to what is already in devlopment.
If there is a tool the federal government can use to buy and sell us like slaves its AI technology.
They just setup the bot perameters to do so and set AI enslavement on auto!😳
“Who or what are those evolving threats? You!”
And the AI brothers know it.
.
The federal government using ‘buy and sell’ techniques to enslave us?
At what cost?
As Sundance opines, what if the benefits do not outweigh the costs?
The sheer amount of energy needed to surveil, collect, retain, and review ALL the data that is ‘out there’ has already been shown to be of no benefit (e.g., all the FBI ‘on the radar’ events, including but not an exhaustive list: San Bernardino, Garland, TX, Olympic gymnasts, Orlando nightclub, Whitmer kidnap plot, etc.).
Our VSGPDJT is a practical man.
If the tech bros insist on a price the government must pay for their AI implementation, President Trump is going to want to see if that cost reaps a requisite ‘value’ in benefit.
And any historical review of those benefits will give him his answer.
So, let the tech bros invest their money in ‘infrastructure’ which can be bought for pennies on the dollar when the resulting product has no value which a prudent businessman would throw money at . . .
Did not Larry Ellison say that all of this surveillance tech is being deployed to ensure proper behavior by the proles?
We don’t know WHAT we don’t know about AI and what it will ultimately lead to.
And, that goes for President Trump.
I appreciate his concern, but he won’t be President forever. It’s after he’s gone that I worry about.
Precisely.
One thing I would ask President Trump…would you feel safe if the Airforce One pilot was a robot programmed by AI?
I just happened to watch a movie yesterday about that very topic.
Anyone thinking it’s a good idea, should watch the movie: Stealth (2005) … it doesn’t end well.
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0382992/plotsummary/
Booger…what a very, very good question! Everyone just sit down for a moment and think about this question.
AI is inevitable. Like our Republic, it will require eternal vigilance.
Patriots in the UK are left to Bash cameras and automatic license readers.
They should have bashed the FILTHY LIBERALS that attempted to enslave them.
We are doing the same thing. And how come NOBODY wants to break up Google/Apple/Microsoft etc. They are Monopolies and too powerful for a Constitutional Republic. BUST THESE FILTHY COMPANIES UP!
Years ago, they busted up Ma Bell because they said it was a monopoly on telephones. What would they call Apple?
AI is not, nor will it ever be, sentient. It is computer code, period. A more and more sophisticated code, but code nevertheless.
We will be TOLD at some point that it is sentient, however.
Some intelligence will be running it though.
I leave it as an exercise for the reader as to what or who that intelligence is.
Yep, it can only take what we give.
His word choice suggests that he thinks the snake is a rabbit
A rattlesnake never stops being a rattlesnake even when it’s not striking.
If he thinks the snake is a rabbit, I never want to go for a walk in the Mojave desert with him.
It will take over and you will not care as you will not understand why you should care when it does happen.
“DHS will not use AI to improperly profile, target or to discriminate–and DHS will decide what is improper.”
Of course, DHS also decided that shooting President Trump in the head was proper, so there’s that.

If this is true, and the DHS gets sophisticated AI technology, they will be able to dispense with the loser, Fibbie inspired, lone wolves on their radar.
They can use drones. Who won’t miss.
Homeland Security Investigations also plays Presidential Pac-Man:
May as well ask the fox – can I trust you, to guard the henhouse ?

I want a pastrami or Philly steak and cheese. At least the dog will play with me.
President Trump will not be President forever. We’ve already been and probably are still spied on, why is President Trump involved in the development of AI?! Imagine what the Left will do with this power when they run the government?!
Rescind the Patriot Act. Dismantle the Homeland Security Agency& the TSA. Revoke the FISA Act & dismantle the FISA Court. Liberty over Safety all day; every day. Spying on Americans is a crime without a legally obtained search warrant under the Fourth Amendment.
Yes to all. And clean up elections rigorously. Make removing a politician a regular event. Strip all their defense mechanisms. Strip their campaign cash. Only their district’s voters can contribute to them, in limited amounts.
Don’t do this, and we will be serfs in 20 years.
I think the cat is out of the bag.
The AI Brotherhood of Billionaires got obscenely rich by way of one or more governments. They really enjoyed drinking the government elixir of money. They’re just now gathering around for their next drink and don’t care whether it comes from America or China! It’s all a reflection of the inability of POLITICS to tax fairly, maintain patriotism and live up to our Constitution!
POLITICS NEEDS GOVERNMENT; GOVERNMENT DOES NOT NEED POLITICS!
I also draw your attention to the last sentence in the extract provided by Sundance above, in case you did not re-read it. That last sentence is the INTENTIONAL Loophole left …. when the democrats and/or deep state supporters return to power … AFTER President Trump’s administration.
“The DHS Information Technology Security Program will update and develop additional security requirements, as appropriate, to protect AI technologies against novel cybersecurity threats and risks introduced by new applications of these technologies.”
We can be assured that SIMILAR LOOPHOLES HAVE been left in every executive Agency Document … NOT just AI related.
Marxist totalitarians thrive on re-writing history and stealing money. AI is their dream come true.
Your information has vastly more value when used against you.
We have a commander in chief that understands the downside of AI. Melania and Barron have more common sense than the whole of the Senate, Trump relies on them both. I’d rather have Melania in Trumps ear than Jill running the show. I’m not a fan of AI, however I’ll take what we have, consider Biden, Kamala, Obama etc in charge.
The city of Ai in the Bible was destroyed by Joshua and his armies, as directed by God.
Its name means “ruin”.
Here is a short video, an interview with Geoffrey Hinton, Turing Prize winner and ” godfather ” of AI.
He is more than marginally concerned.
Myself?
I have a feeling which I can’t quite put into words. I’ll just say that I am more than uneasy…
In the end sinful, wicked men have not changed since the beginning. Such is the prince of this world that his influence still exists. Sonething I hope President Trump keeps at the forefront of his mind as he entertains the close presence of tech moguls and people like Gates from Hell, all who have somehow wormed their way into his inner circle.
Praying that wisdom coupled with extreme caution are given to him in these dark fast moving waters which are suddenly engulfing us via the super fast development of this technology.
Thanks for sharing!!
That 8 minute video says a lot!
Very concerning….frightening.
I watched this video recently…
The description…not really accurate.💁♀️🤷♀️
He goes into a lot of what Sundance has
been writing about concerning surveillance.
Gives some great points and information-
and video clips….Worth watching!!

Comfort zones which increasingly preclude interaction of any kind. Jobs? AI will shrink the need for human faces and voices.
Correct, gypsy…the gradual herding of mankind into the sinister world of AI technology and eventually the transhumanist goals of the WEF self appointed “gods”.
I’ve seen nothing which disabuses me of the queasy feelings I get the more I read about it and tye direction it is quickly going.
One bad actor in power is all it will take, and there are plenty of those just waiting.
Abilene, TX is where the 10 new Stargate AI data centers are being built. It also is home to Dyess AFB, which is getting the new B-21 Raider stealth bomber. Tell me that city is not a giant blinking red light at center target now on our national enemies’ radar.
“Big Brother” has become a synecdoche for abuse of government power, particularly in respect to civil liberties, often specifically related to mass surveillance”
Call it “Big Brother” or call it “AI” – it’s all the same.
The application of AI is only going to automate what already exists, and has existed at least since before 9/11. All those surveillance and control systems that Snowden revealed in 2013 didn’t involve AI.
“This ‘Stargate Project’ sounds intriguing. Can you haz newsletter I can be subscribing?”

I sure wish I could hear more about AI being used to analyze / break down bills initiated in Congress. Been hearing it has been done or can be done. I want to see a demo using one bill. I want to know that this capability will be used where it will help.
Rant: We have legislators who probably never even sent an email or performed a ‘search’ online. Now, they may have to determine allowances/restrictions on AI’s use in the medical, warfare etc.. industries. They will need to be educated.
Would’t the AI software be constructed so as to conclude all those bills are 1) inexpensive; 2) highly effective and beneficial; and, 3) considered amendments to the Constitution, so they can never be reversed.
Pelosi style: First ya gotta pass the bill before you know whats in the algorithm.
But I just want a simple demo to start.
Is “AI” Einstein’s brain in a jar with electrodes attached or is it a lot of computer code hooked up to one or more data bases ?
It is just computer code written b y fallible humans. AI will only be as good or as bad as the code that runs it and can be modified, according to ideology of who is in charge of our government. I worked in the computer field for thirty years.
.
I would like to understand, if more detail could be forthcoming, the basis for the following. Who would be these privileged people, and how could this be done given the apparent need to control, e.g. politicians and other powerful, with blackmail:
“There are going to be tiers of people who are not subjected to the rules of the Surveillance State. There are going to be tiers of people, powerful, influential, some intensely rich people, to whom the application of the surveillance does not exist.”
Also, here’s the problem that I suspect Trump is grappling with: if you personally know or have spent any time with some of these “Big Tech” guys, it rapidly becomes clear that genius or just bright, their deep but very narrow expertise and perspectives are exceedingly imbalanced, not “well-rounded”.
Their world is, in essence, a giant video game. Their education and emotional development is often not unlike that of the 19-year-old gamer who strives for the top score and to amass the most points and goodies. It is all “virtual”.
Usually it is literally impossible to have a conversation about -anything-that isn’t all about or doesn’t devolve into something computer and internet oriented. Anything not about that is of no interest, no reality.
AI -IS- and will continue to be developed.
Understand, that except for superficial brief pablum that may be uttered when cornered and forced to think about it momentarily, these guys are essentially blinders-on curious “explorers” of a sort who simply Do Not Care about the long-term implications of what they are creating. Their passions are to just keep going and see where they can go.
Better to corral them, try to get them inextricably invested in the U.S., and thereby have at least some hope of directing them. Because if they don’t do it here, if they’re not allowed to do it here, they will just hop on their jets and go do it elsewhere.
.
“19 year old gamers” sums it up..
AI is the latest stage of the Industrial Revolution started back in the late 1700 hundreds and early 1800’s. In the beginning the advances in technology pretty much benefitted society. In the last 100 years or so Satan has used the advances in technology to advance his agenda. If AI is allowed to be fully developed and implanted in society, it will be used to enslave us. God is not going to allow that.
“The only thing those sentences in the paragraph say, is that DHS will not allow AI to create improper outcomes within a system they outline that already exists.”
BINGO! It’s already in play. For all those conservatives who were de-banked and de-platformed or refused services, they were PROFILED using A.I. in a lot of cases. Actual human beings were not hired to read and monitor banking transactions or social media posts. No, it was done using artificial intelligence. Same with suddenly finding your innocent self on a no fly list or watch list. Let’s say Joe Blow uses a credit card to pay for XYZ and things related to XYZ are on a “list” (name your list: homeschooling your kids, going to church, saying “Christ is King”, growing your own food, guns, ammo, attending a gun show, using #MAGA in texts and emails, etc., etc., etc).
In Europe and other places it’s much, much worse. Imagine saying what you think on a social media post and next thing you know the police are demanding entry to your home and threatening arrest due to what they categorized as “hate speech”.
I got a warning once on Social Media. All I had written was “Pray” and it was during the time of Hurricane Helene. Apparently, I lacked “context”, etc. Obviously, that means “pray” is a key search word/term.
A.I. is the advanced version of filters. Like a network firewall is programmed to not allow or allow Internet traffic that matches certain criteria, A.I. can be programmed to search records at the speed of light (search your personal records: banking, health, media, etc.), thereby PROFILING you, and you are on a List and that List can be used for Good or Evil. That is the root of the problem with vast data collection. We just shouldn’t be doing it. Period. Tower of Babel.
Remember what they did during Covid. Never forget what they did to us during the Plandemic. Never forget that people who refused to cooperate with the vast experiment that killed and harmed people lost their jobs, some lost lives, some their homes, many their reputations. I’m already on the “unvaccinated” list.
There would have to be LAWS and ACCOUNTABILITY, personal risk, for any use of the data. And there are many ways people can eliminate the risks for themselves – it’s just very inconvenient. The “tech bros” should be personally liable for any misuse of the data.
I realize that I sorely underdescribed A.I. so please don’t knock my Luddite hat off. I was just using an Example of how wrongly it can be used.
COME ON EMP!!
I have thought the same more
than once….EMP.
😖
The solution to AI as a controlling technology by a few is to make it so cheaply available to anyone that we can all use it to reveal itself. A commodity that we can use to express our displeasure in anything we do not like about it. If everyone’s voice is amplified by it then no one can speak over another.
I would say this was anticipated to a degree.
We have had globalists for over a decade saying that you will own nothing, and be happy. The green new scam is meant to cement that control.
Noticed the push to get an amendment for a third term of the residency, as long as the 3rd term is not consecutive to the other two. This came with the techno crowd AI push for “US control” of the AI development.. . This push appears as a MAGA idea as we could get the 3rd term for Trump and his AI influence could help make the constitutional amendment happen.. That is the narrative I see as presented. However, the people behind this agenda are shadow dwellers with ties to the DNC. Just cant help but think obama’s 3rd term with the rise of Glowbull AI influence.. I can’t see PDJT wanting a 3rd term with or without AI influence..
Currently where is the rabbit, who is feeding the rabbit, who is cleaning out the cage and to what purpose.. How soon before someone lets it hop away. We know someone will leave the door open for a price..
The rabbit has already hopped away and went down the hole. Do we dare follow it?
“Oh my ears and whiskers. I am late”
Can we use an AI tool to query (?) that August 8th memo from DHS?

Excellent! And, the surveillance has become more sophisticated as the AI ability to integrate these data has exponentially increased. New tires carry lots of data which can be read from far away. I took too long to blink and my truck warned me it was time for a nap.
Link on tires: https://www.tirereview.com/rfid-today-tomorrow-yesterday/
(sigh) There is so much surveilling going on that its nothing to have another one. Hopefully it will get to the point of being helpful such as knowing you fall down and can’t get up.

For anyone who doubts this, here is an actual DHS document….
They threw in “environmental” and “animal rights” for balance after outlawing the majority of the country.
“Differing radically from the mass media”? Really?
“criticizing Open Borders”?
“auditing the Fed”?
“failure to get an Obama tattoo”?
Holee Mackerel! This means US!!! I guess my sleepless nights the last for years weren’t in vain!
Looks like I am marked for the “frequent references to the Constitution”.
Upon reflection, I’m not sure why that would be a bad thing.
This DHS definition of “domestic extremism” right there defines about 90% of the country.
An interesting exercise, what are the characteristics of those who are left (and who collectively fabricated this document)? They are defining who is worthy to be counted as a better citizen, the “elite”, the enlightened, those who deserve power.
There is no humility or recognition of the imperfection of all men in this writing.
Not hard to imagine AI calculating where and how radar can be used to start a fire using “Smart Meters”.

I DID NOT vote 3 times for a “kinder, gentler Surveillance State”..
Just in case “important” people (who think we need such a thing) should read this, if y’all would quit with the extra Constitutional actions against the greater good of the People you work for, you wouldn’t have to worry about being dragged from bed by your hair.
If y’all would get the Imported Terrorists and Cartels the hell out of here we really wouldn’t have much to worry about, thus ending the need for an Omnipresent Digital “Eye Of Sauron” to track everyone to make sure they aren’t up to no good.
Thanks in advance for ending the not-so Patriot Act and giving us our “Inalienable” Rights back.
In the video a reporter asked Trump whether he released the 2000 lb bombs to Israel that Biden’s handlers hadn’t released. Trump confirmed that he released them to Israel. The reporter asked why. Trump said, “because they want them”.
I find no morality here.
He said “because they bought them”
I heard….they bought them. 💁♀️ 🤷♀️
I listened twice. Bought..not want.
I am not very pleased about it…..
but cannot have what he actually
said be “misinterpreted “
I listened again and I was wrong.
However, the problem is, they ‘bought’ them with our money.
.
One thing we can do is to amend the civil rights laws (they need to be amended anyway to clarify that “sex” doesn’t mean “gender”) to include to be protected from discrimination, POLITICALviews; positions on or membership in groups advocating particular political and/or philosophical points of view. The reference to “religion” or “creed” is apparently inadequate. That should help bring in line corporations, e.g. banks, e.g. hiring.
.
I have heard a couple of people say that the 1964 Civil Rights Act is actually a parallel COTUS that was enacted without ratification and, in certain aspects; has subplanted the COTUS. Your thoughts?
AI is one of the scariest aspects of this day and age. Seems too many do NOT know how to live or even survive without it, epically most of America’s population under about 35.
Truly believe that our government and many other governments have been and are using AI for the wrong reasons.
What is sad is that we have so many real crazy horrendous people out there, yet that is not what they have usually used AI for. Seems the government’s use of AI has been to try and control those who do NOT walk and cooperate lock step with the powers that want to control the world instead of taking care of the evil in the world.
As I’ve said many times, regardless of when you gotten off or if you stop using any type of electronics they already know where you are and what your past on electronics has been. Actually do wonder if someone goes totally off the grid and moves to some far remote location if they are even safe anymore.
Maybe I don’t post like I used to but i do know that they know what I and many others have posted, along with knowing where there can pick us up at or even take us out.
“AI is one of the scariest aspects of this day and age.”
In other ages, the scariest aspects were:
Being kicked out of the garden
The development of fire
Abraham
The lack of Kings
The development of Kings
The power of the Egyptians
The development of Gunpowder
The rise of Rome
The rise of the Mayans
The development of guns and cannons
The taxes of England
The declaration of independence from England
The Constitution
The Civil war
Movies
The development of the locomotive
The development of the automobile
Television….

In 1988 I developed my own electronic medical record using Word and Lotus 123. I found another physician who had developed better software. I just knew computers would revolutionize the ability to practice more holistic and personalized medicine as a primary care doctor. We pioneers made it do that.
In the early 2000’s the government and insurance companies made computers mandatory and they paid for them, but they had to used by their criteria of “Meaningful use”
Now computers are being used to enslave doctors, nurses, extract trillions out of our healthcare system, and waste our precious health care dollars. Health care and health of the U.S. is going down, life expectancy is going down, and many people are dying unnecessarily falling through the cracks.
We cannot be afraid of the tools. Use the tools for good. Insist they be used for good. Too many good men are doing nothing. Comfort is the enemy of growth.
We don’t like it when PDJT uses imperfect people or tools, or tools that might be evil. But he is clearly trying to use what he has at his disposal to do good.
Stop fretting and get to work and help him. He can’t do it alone.
Is anyone going to ask DJT specifically about spying on American citizens (with or without AI)?
Great question
Wow…Watch the thinking capability and solutions to problems given to China’s DeepSeek R1 Artificial Intelligence model. Also watch the testing on censorship and programming narratives embedded in this AI product available now.
This why the US has no choice but to implement and improve IA. If we don’t then we are toast , literally. Compare it to nuclear weapons, if your enemy has it you had better get them as well and fast!
The “AI gap” sounds eerily similar to the Cold War – era “missle gap”.
.
Is anyone going to ask DJT specifically about spying on American citizens (with or without AI)?
Like he of all persons isn’t aware of this issue?
.
At the end of his 4 year term, who will then be in charge? That is the question in my mind. It will likely be someone who will have the power in mind and will use it against the american people just like obama and biden did. We’ll be right back where we started from. Heaven help us. JMHO
Is he?
I will on the Presidential Thread first thing. I might just sign up for Truth and X to ask directly. What do I care if they kick me off for doing so.
