Not since Ted Cruz’s GOP nomination speech in 2016 had a political figure self-immolated with such tone-deaf stupidity as Vivek Ramaswamy when he blamed American culture as the justification why we need to import H1B tech workers. It’s been all downhill from that apex.
On the day before President Trump’s inauguration, Ramaswamy announced he would be departing from the Dept of Govt Efficiency which he was tasked to lead with Elon Musk.
Normally, at this point we would say farewell and then forget about the guy. However, there are now numerous reports Ramaswamy intends to run for Ohio governor. That would be a hot mess.
If Ramaswamy would win the GOP primary, which is debatable, he would be setting up Ohio for a democrat candidate to win in the general election. The reality of things as they stand now is that a large percentage of the GOP base will not support Ramaswamy given his controversial remarks in support of H1B visas.
Vivek can continue trying to clean up his commentary, but he ends up in no better position than Ted Cruz and his “vote your values” nonsense at the convention. There are certain times in a political career where success or failure is defined in a moment. Ramaswamy, created a hot mess all around him for everyone with his H1B statements and protestations.
Elon Musk was quick to notice the toxic nature of the pro=H1B position and has been walking backwards ever since. According to Politico, it was Elon Musk who wanted Ramaswamy to exit due to the public mess and distraction he created. [LINK] Whether that is true or not, we don’t know. However, it does seem possible.
WASHINGTON – […] On Monday, shortly after Trump’s inauguration, Ramaswamy wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “It was my honor to help support the creation of DOGE. I’m confident that Elon & team will succeed in streamlining government.”
Amid reports that the business owner may launch a gubernatorial campaign in Ohio, political commentators have linked his departure from DOGE to his potential plans to run for office. In his statement on Monday, Ramaswamy said, “I’ll have more to say very soon about my future plans in Ohio.”
Ramaswamy made the statement in response to a post by Taylor Popielarz, in which the Spectrum News national political reporter said, citing a source familiar with the matter, that Ramaswamy left “because he is announcing his run for governor of Ohio early next week and it became clear he couldn’t campaign and lead DOGE at the same time.”
The source who spoke to Popielarz added that Ramaswamy’s relationship with Musk was still good and that “Vivek will be cheering on DOGE.” (read more)
Well, as an Ohioan, I can tell you most of my compatriots are very excited to see Vivek enter the race for Governor. Frankly, almost anyone with a pulse will be better than that little tyrant DeWine. That weasel has tormented us for years. Vivek will be an excellent Governor. He’s the perfect person to break up the Columbus Cabal. Well just have to “educate” him on the H1B visa stuff. And hard!
I am skeptical.
Vivek statement revealed a deep seated underlying bias and hatred of American culture. The Caste system in India has been officially dismantled but is active in reality. I’ve worked with man H1B tech engineers to know this is the case. And once they get in a position to influence hiring decisions you notice that only Indians get hired. I had many times turned in highly qualified resumes of Americans and they were never contacted for open positions.
This^ is 100% true as I have SEEN this up close and real. They have brought this Caste system to our country and it has become embedded quickly. The sense of entitlement I see in employment is pervasive and must be stopped….there are issues of spousal visas that has also become rampant…entitlement there is as well….I wish more people were speaking about this. I am glad it is starting to get some traction. Laura Loomer has brought some attention to it as well…her reporting on the expired Visa holder who shot and killed the Border Patrol agent in Vermont has been buried unfortunately…
In the caste system, as explained by an Indian doctor I worked for, the lighter the skin, the higher the caste. One girl said when she went to Indonesia, there are no commercial skin creams available that don’t contain skin lighteners. Where do Caucasians fit into this schematic? I would say they are taught resentment against the ultimate skin lightness contest and also therefore, look would also look down on black skin. This is not MAGA common sense.
Interesting. Watched a documentary about women of color, their skin tones and how they try to lighter their skin. Fascinating watch. I’m sure its still out there on YouTube or something.
Michelle Obama certainly does not. I was struck by how dark her makeup was compared to her arms.
Who is “Her”?
🙂
5 o’clock shadow?
Have had numerous situations w/medical professionals from there. Here in the Heartland, it’s getting so it’s nearly impossible to find a white, male doctor. What we have noticed w/those from India is that they do not work “with” you on your health—
Instead, as one told me during a getting-to-know-you call, she said “Let’s get this straight from the start — I will tell you what to do, and you will do it.”
Was it arrogance because this person was in a “high-status” position? Don’t know, but it keeps coming up — condescension, as if they are told before coming that, here in this rural area, people are not very bright, or something…(No, I did not take on that doctor as my own. Just said “Thank you for the call” — and never talked to her again (and she’s far from the only one we’ve had that prob with.)
Yup the SE Asian girls live by the BB cream.
Indonesia is not India.
Indonesia does not have a caste system like India’s.
Many/most Asian countries view lighter skin as being more beautiful than darker skin.
White people are generally viewed in light of each country’s experience with colonialism.
Mistreatment for centuries is remembered for centuries.
A mixture of awe, curiosity, and disgust–in various combinations in various people, based on their own experiences.
H-1B is bad. It is a corrupted program that the Indians have hacked and game for themselves. It harms Americans.
That said, even worse is the federal contracting program, 8(a).
Indians combine 8(a) with H-1B and create a perfect circle of corrupt foreign manipulation that harms Normal Americans.

This interview explains beautifully all the valid, factual reasons why, the more so it’s being given by an Indian.

If almost anyone with a pulse will do, OH will end up like NC, TN & many other conservative states… with a demoncrap guvnah.
VR has always come across to me as a conman. That makes him as bad or even worse than DeWine.
🎯💯
Google two words… “Vivek” and “Soros” together and notice that Vivek took money from Paul and Daisy Soros (George’s brother). They don’t even try to hide it.
At the time Vivek took the money, he filed a tax return showing he was worth millions. He didn’t need the money… he wanted the money.
Vote for Vivek at your peril. He belongs nowhere near our seats of government.
https://pdsoros.org/fellows/vivek-ramaswamy/
And that’s the problem I have with trusting him.
Who goes to law school after being worth a small fortune and then not even practice law?
Hmmm…..someone thinking of going into politics??
Someone trying to circumvent the law?
Paul was the ideological polar opposite of George. He was proudly conservative and believed that immigrants had a special obligation to learn and read the Constitution and be grateful for being received into the USA. Vivek’s grant had nothing to with The Soros Foundation.
I detest DeWine also, especially for the way he handled, that is “mishandled” the Covid masking and lockdowns.
I had to vote for him for his second term to keep Ohio in the hands of the Republicans.
What good did that do? With the Issues that made it too easy for our Ohio Constitution to be amended and then that disastrous abortion amendment, things have been going from bad to worse under him.
My daughter lives in the Columbus area. I see what is going on and the make-up of the population there.
She has a degree in Computer Science Engineering from OSU. She has a good job now but not getting jobs more suited to what she is capable of and would like to have.
America and American citizens first. Ramaswamy will have to retract a little better- actions, not words – to get my vote.
I will give DeWeirdo credit for job creation. Getting the chip factory and now that drone factory was a huge plus for Ohio, but yeah, can’t wait for him to go. Now I hear his little sock puppet medical advisor, demonicrat, Dr. Amy Acton, who spoke and treated Ohioans like kindergartners, is planning on running. She’d be another disaster, and I don’t see that happening. All her covid suggestions were ridiculous, and she pretty much had to slink away from the job. Ohioans were not happy with her at all.
I say we pay attention to how President Trump handles Vivek’s candidacy. If he endorses Vivek than we should embrace him. After all of what President Trump has done, so many think they know better. I trust President Trump, let him handle it.
why trust mr citric.
papa of em are in A
too eager too supp port that group in ME.
at the expense of American Blood and $
Are these rap lyrics?
He won’t bring up the H1 B statements anymore, but his opponent sure will. I hope you are right notwithstanding this blunder.
Did you all figure out John Kasich?
John Kasich’s dad was a mailman.
If Ramaslimy were to become governor, within six months, the entire Ohio civil service would become Indian.
He insulted every American with roots in this country and tells you that immigrant kids are better than their own. Why vote for Vivek over another Republican in the primary?
He said they were better trained and educated, which is a cold hard fact.
The population of India has an average IQ of 77. Square that circle for me.
No, there are actually a large amount of fake certifications that has caused problems in other nearby countries, since their inevitably large population goes to seek better opportunities OUT of their country. Other countries are having to investigate the veracity of any certifications they have now (engineering, medicine, etc) so how do we know that the qualifications for the visas are being vetted?
Anyone notice there are a lot of people with links to the Indian subcontinent and South Africa swirling around MAGA this year? It is going to take some serious storytelling to explain that.
not much to explain. The Indians are 2nd generation H1B’s. The South African connection is PayPal.
which musck rhat did NOT found/start…
and p teel is a perv straight from sod em…
Sam Altman is a bigger demon. His sister has alleged him of r*pe when she was only 5 years old and Sam was 13 and that it continued for years.
Whether it’s coming from India, South Africa, Ukraine, or Israel, I am sick and tired of foreigners fighting over the American piggybank.
True that!
Both Musk and Ramaswamy are American citizens.
Are you sure about that? Neither one was born here right? So did they come legally?
Slick Vik Obamaswamy was hatched in Cincinnati however his father’s U.S. citizenship status seems to be quite murky.
The India connection. – They have been globalist minions for many decades. However for whatever reason they are deploying them around the world more frequently as of late. Perhaps it’s because we’re onto the AWULS (Affluent White Uber Liberal Females) they have been utilizing in the recent past.
few trumptards will care my friend
Well there is that big, beautiful, new Hindu temple in New Jersey – “The largest Hindu temple in the U.S. opens its doors Sunday in New Jersey. Built in the small township of Robbinsville, the 183-acre BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham, named for its founding Hindu spiritual organization, rivals major Hindu temples on the subcontinent.” – NB C News, Oct. 8, 2023
“There are certain times in a political career where success or failure is defined in a moment. Ramaswamy, created a hot mess all around him for everyone with his H1B statements and protestations.”
Indeed. He instantaneously became the face of outsourcing to India and the inability for hundreds of thousands of American engineers to find work.
I know many for whom the following is a brutal truth: “White male engineers need not apply …”
The fact that most of them come here and get free or next to free educations in our colleges and universities makes it even worse. They’re like cowbirds, waiting until another bird builds the nest and then steals it out from under them. Freeloading losers.
At my granddaughter’s graduation ceremony from UC San Diego last Spring, the vast majority of the graduates were Indian and Chinese. There were very few typical American names.
The keynote speaker was none other than Al Gore who lectured us, with a raised voice, about climate change.
He faced some resistance from some of the parents. A few stood up and challenged him.
“……..a large percentage of the GOP base will not support Ramaswamy given his controversial remarks in support of H1B visas.”
I don’t see where he had much support from the base to begin with. He’s always come across, to me at least, as a combination snake oil salesman and aspiring televangelist preacher. Let him have his fun attempting to run for governor. At least that way he’s off of the D.C. spectrum. Then, if-when he loses, he can go back to fleecing people through his manipulations at the NY stock exchange.
Hah! You’re in my brain: “snake oil salesman” –🎯💯That’s been my label for him from the get-go. Never bought into his primary debate antics as ‘heroic’ or bada$$ but to the contrary, I found his showboating cringe. You cannot criticize the un-assimilated masses from one side of your mouth but espouse the virtues of a purple cow religion from the other. Not if you want me to take you seriously. This is still a Judeo-Christian values system here -full stop.
I’ve never seen a purple cow
I never hope to see one
I can tell you anyhow
Check out the blue elephant with six arms
Ha ha…
Well,
I never hope to see one!
No great loss. There never seemed to be a benefit to Swampy’s MAGA credos to anyone other than himself.
Let’s hope the GOP primary voters in Ohio take a hard pass.
Bye bye!
I never liked the rising of Vivek with his smooth sailing approach saying all that is good to say even adopting Trump’s TRUTH. I see Vivek as a usurper and exploiter of opportunities that he does not merit. As Indian, he is not shying away from making India and their culture his central objective while sitting in America with American power. Born in America, yes…but his spirit lays with India. His comments on H1B is a great testament of my observation.
Grifter is what comes to mind every time I hear his name.
His comment on American’s being lazy…don’t forget that.
Many are too lazy, don’t want to hear it from him, if he’s so great, go fix India, start with the Caste system.
The Indian caste system was “officialy” discarded however it is still practiced by many in Indian society. What makes me laugh is that India attempted to blame the British for their caste system when India’s was in place way before the first Englishmen set foot on the subcontinent. Yes, I do realize that Britain still has such a system.
Reality…we are, compared to Asians who are culturally strongly motivated to excel academically and professionally, and are not loath to put in the long hours to get there. I think people are more offended by the truth, but project that onto the man.
Who’s we, kimosabe…
👎
Not too lazy to vote against him.
Don’t forget that Vivek had said that Republicans should vote for him. He was the safe choice because he’s like Trump without any possibility of going to jail.
Like the scam artist said; “DO NOT REDEEM!“
Writing was on the wall when ramaslimy was tweeting pics of him with musk and musk didn’t reciprocate.
Plenty of time between now and the gubernatorial election to catch up on Saved By The Bell episodes. Plenty of tech-bros butt-hurt, too. Rejoice!
The latest episode of Intellectual Froglegs…Joe Dan Gorman set some “ground rules” and mentioned to the ‘tech bro’s’…
“you joined us, we didn’t join you….that’s the way it works”…
I don’t know much of this guy from Ohio…just what everyone else has read. And am not liking him or his manner of business practices. I hope if Ohio likes him, he is worthy of that.
as an astute X poster pointed out, Vivek will be easily replaced with someone cheaper…
To be fair, parsing his remarks carefully reveals that Vivek had some good points, but he worded them VERY poorly. He deserved to get kicked out of DOGE for that, though. If you can’t clearly articulate your vision, you have no business being the public face of a government agency or private enterprise.
“Can’t” or “Won’t”…? clearly articulate?
Howdy, Aggiegirl. I suspect that he won’t.
The STEM degree shortage (a narrative that started in the 1980s) has always been a lie. Michelle Maulkin revealed it in one of her books.
Why? He spoke factually. Americans are now less educated and lacking the skill sets that our Asian peers have. Our educational system, kindergarten through college, is unquestionably deficient. Why slay the messenger because the message indicts our lack?
The answer is to rectify the problems with the American education system. Apparently you seem to be failing to grasp this particular concept.
Well, when I was (very) fat, (very) long ago and not at all for decades now, there was a saying I always kept in mind.
“I’m fat, but you’re ugly, and I can diet.”
I was instinctively cautious of him the first time I saw and heard him speak. The vibe was just not right.
I don’t recall a high profile politician flaming out so spectacularly as he did when he grossly disparaged Americans during his visa rant.
I will be highly surprised if his Ohio candidacy gains competitive traction with voters.
Moreover, I don’t regret his self-elimination from the Trump team.
The CTH comment section is owed an apology right now by every single account who came here during the H1B Christmas war and accused us of being “divisive” when we dared defend ourselves against Vivek’s hateful anti-American insults.
Seriously? You want to kill the messenger because you don’t like the message. The American academic system has failed since the infliction of the DoE on us 45 years ago. We are at #24, down from our starting position of #1. We HAVE been dumbed down, where Asians, particularly, have never lost their cultural drive for academic and professional excellence, and while putting in the work to get there. It’s no one’s fault but OUR OWN.
C’mon Tory, show us some of that drive and gumption and drill down to the base reasons why the American education system is in shambles.
It could well be that he knew he had to transition out and the “culture” rant was chosen to commence that.
Or not. My point is that it’s ambiguous.
This makes sense to me.
Chip factories (and factories in general) use a lot of water and if Ohio has anything in abundance it is water so this makes sense to me.
I never cared for Ramaswamy. His H1B outburst just solidified my distaste for him. It also exposed Musk as an anti-American POS. It’s time to stop the foreign invasion, full stop. There is no counter-argument. Musk and Ramaswamy have only barely started to realize the truth of this.
Ramaswamy just wants to run something. At his core he is an upgrader. We no longer can tolerate candidates with naked ambitions. Ohio must find another and better candidate.
Another Indian for control of America! I’ve had enough of India with Nimrata and now Vivek
The H1B Christmas war brought three facts into hard confluence:
1) VR’s implication of U.S. tech-cultural inferiority
2) Barely one university in India ranks among the top world universities
3) a whopping 75% of H1B visas go to India (and very, very few to Europeans)
It is thus appropriate that VR exit the national stage. The analogy to Ted Cruz is most apt.
self-immolated
I wasn’t surprised in the least when he flamed out. Each step in his political career struck me as inauthentic and opportunistic.
Even when he did very good things, like skewering Romney’s niece, he never felt right. He jumped in a garbage truck to mimic Trump and tried interacting with a normal American, it was ultra contrived and uncomfortable. I thought he might work at the under secretary level, but he doesn’t work well with others.
I’m curious about Vance’s very high regard for Vivek. They don’t seem all that simpatico when looked at as personalities, but who knows. I hope Vance doesn’t have a very large blind spot.
Vance, Ramaswamy and Usha were classmates and friends together at Yale. Their friendship “extended beyond academics” as Vance stated to Tucker Carlson in interview. Usha is also Indian.
Interesting that Ramaswamy wants to run for Governor of Ohio, Vance’s state.
Ramaswamy grew up in Cincinnati.
Look up the videos showing Vivek copying clever statements made by Obama. Vivek is shameless.
His positions on a lot of issues are very good, so I’m not going to throw him away for some ill worded comments. That’s a purity test and serves the style of the left moreso.
Exactly. It is something to watch in the comments when Sundance writes an article that may lean one way or the other and how comments escalate quickly in that direction, with posters duelling how far they can take it.
Throw him away because he’s a lying con man and fraud. Why this story isn’t more widely known is beyond me.
https://www.newsweek.com/vivek-ramaswamy-fraud-always-has-been-opinion-1823853
I, for one, have to thank Swamparamy for his commentary. It brought up a VERY important topic that hadn’t been addressed by MAGA. The H1B Visa situation is now front and center and MUST be addressed. I am disturbed by DJT’s comments regarding the “importance” of these Visa workers in our country. Love him or hate him, Bannon has been on an absolute tear about it, bringing a LOT of attention to the issue. I pray with the brilliance of Stephen Miller and Peter Navarro they enlighten DJT on the abuse of this issue. Anyone that has followed what started with the Disney IT people training and then being replaced by Indian H1B’s, know this has become a massive issue in our country–stealing US Citizen jobs. The tech bros are leading this charge…with Elon leading it. I worry about his proximity to DJT but am keeping my powder dry to see what actual policy changes take place….
Trump 45-47 [how I hope to invoke the VSGPDJT] does himself no favors every time he confuses the H1-b visa with the H2-b visa that the Trump organization utilizes.
yes, I really don’t understand this..does he TRULY believe these H1B’s are the brilliant people they profess they are? or does he understand we have better citizens in the US to do this work…
I forget what recent interview it was, but I noted that PDJT said he employed H1-B’s for certain difficult to fill positions (which one presumes does not mean ordinary maids or gardeners).
He cited two examples: the maître d’ (aka headwaiter), and the sommelier (aka wine expert).
I just looked up the top salary (roughly) in each profession: $170K, and $150K (for a master sommelier), respectively.
Make of that what you will. He has a lot of properties so he must need at least some of each. I don’t expect there are too many all together, or sundance’s research might have found it.
Also – who knows how many Indians or Asians may even be attracted to these specialties. I’d expect French or Brits or other Europeans…
“Self-emolliated”? He covered himself in moisturising lotion?
Self-immolated.
I like it a lot! He rubs his bald head in oil and rubbed it all over my body!
Wrong thread. Maybe on the dark web, somewhere?
HE won’t be elected. I would consider him a quitter for a higher opportunity.
His stereotype of the lazy American hit a nerve and that is good because it is mostly true. If it gets us angry then maybe that will generate some action to help fix the situation. I know the people around my grandchildren are nearly worthless when you mention the word work. There simply is no work ethic in that generation that I have seen.
And the mob is demanding to kill the messenger because they can’t be honest enough to admit the message is true. Very dismal how too many toss out buzzwords they’ve learned from *look it up on You Tube*, hardly a bastion of intellectual integrity. So much slander that is really self-immolating, long term.
Even if true that our education system has been corrupted and degraded, which I agree it has, that does not justify closing out those Americans who are qualified.
I worked in software for years and know there are plenty.
Many are self-taught. I was, though tech writing is a lot easier to pick up than full programming (I did some scripting).
DO NOT TRUST Vivek or Elon. No way, no how.
Americans shouldn’t trust any politician. That’s our God given heritage.
I’m an Ohioan, Vivek or no Vivek, I don’t believe there is any way Ohioans vote for a demonicrat. I was rather shocked that Sherrod Brown lost his senate seat to Bernie Moreno, who had a lot of very bad negatives, like cheating his workers out of pay, and then shredding the evidence, which is almost if not worse than Vivek chastising American’s work ethic. I don’t appreciate either of their opinions on workers, but having said that, I don’t think there is a demonicrat out there who can challenge Vivek and win. They just don’t have any one currently out there who fits the bill. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dennis Kucinich made a run at it, as he did this year as an Independent for a House seat.
“Not since Ted Cruz’s GOP nomination speech in 2016 had a political figure self-immolated with such tone-deaf stupidity as Vivek Ramaswamy when he blamed American culture as the justification why we need to import H1B tech workers”
My experience has been that this behaviour is all too typical of upper-caste Indians who move here to the US (or are raised by same). Superiority complex born of their culture. They believe it is justified, and okay to openly express it, and would indicate weakness were they not to do so.
IOW yes, very tone-deaf, and he genuinely doesn’t understand why everyone is upset.
You see it in Khlamydia Mattressback/Mrs. Douglas Emhoff/Kamala Harris. The sense of superiority and entitlement that radiates from her comes from her mother who is of the brahmin caste and probably a bit from her father who does have some subcontinent Indian in his ancestry. Throw in that both of Harris’ parents are steeped in Marxism and you have one heck of a witch’s brew.
I have watched Ramaswamy give interviews multiple times with Jordan Peterson (there are several). My take away is Ramaswamy is young and smart which, as it seems to have gone undisciplined, makes him arrogant and entitled to favor and leadership with his elders. These youngsters often tend to be somewhat lazy as they never have to put in much effort to get the awards and accolades that others do.
This is not a cultural thing as I know many gifted youngsters who were not taught that being smarter doesn’t make you better. Ironically these people grew up to be below average in their careers and life outcomes. Probably because they are smug and unlikeable, which is also how Ramaswamy comes off and why he will never win an election if the people are given good choices.
Ramaswampy reminds me of Shapiro. Mouths running a mile a minute. Lots of buzzwords. But we know what they are, and that’s not MAGA.
Yeah, Cruz went that way, too. Grabbed for the ring greedily, and got burned. Smart guy, unlike the other 2, but subject to the same temperament issues as we found out.
Well, baby step Ohio. Ramaswamy stepped in a big pile with his comments. I hope that he learned his lesson and has been educated on the sordid history of the H1B nightmare inflicted upon American workers.
I will chalk his comments up to being too young to know what was really going on to American tech workers since the 1990s.
He can hit the campaign trail explaining his insulting explanation to Ohioans and start from there.
He has got to be an improvement over DeWine. These RINOs need to be weeded out. We cannot murder Good in pursuit of Perfect.
………………….but Vivek is not even good…………..
Vivek has always put me in mind of an obnoxious used-car salesman. He appears to have no solid core values, he will just say and do whatever to “make the sale.”
This type of behavior, whether in politician, televangelists, or car salesman is an immediate ‘No’ for me. I hope it will be the same for the people of Ohio, or they will end up with a high-caste chameleon as their governor.
My first impression when he thought he was primary contender…… GOP’s version of Beto O’Rourke.
Musk was fortunate that Vivek was there to take the pummeling that Elon also richly deserved.
It is difficult to steer a ship with two captains. It was inevitable that one of them had to go. What surprised me was that it wasn’t Elon forced to step down. He threw the first punch.
Vivek is a smart guy, much smarter than holding an indefensible point of view. I do not believe he is as wedded to his alleged H1-b position as certain individuals believe.
The truth will be revealed in due course.
meh…I think Vivek’s comments on American and Indian culture aren’t really that important except to a very specific and limited set of conservatives. I also think he was speaking from a Brahmin/American perspective about Indian v. American culture, not about the greater caste system in India. Basically, he was comparing Asian tiger-mom culture to American Kardashian “culture.” And, imo, he’s not much wrong about how awful our popular culture is. So, in that sense, I think what he said is mostly being misconstrued. I also doubt his remarks are the reason for the doge decision. Others have come back from worse.
deWhine has been a machine politician from day one.
I wish he would just go away but I doubt he will.
Well, I live in Ohio, and I just don’t know yet if I can support Vivek. For a surety he can be no worse than the last 2 Republican’s we’ve had as Governor, and granted our Legislature is loaded with RINO’S, but I don’t know. We’ll see.
The Fascinating Story Behind Vivek Ramaswamy’s Columbus, Ohio House – Homformation:
”Who is Vivek Ramaswamy?
Vivek Ramaswamy is an American entrepreneur who has made significant strides in the business world. In 2014, he established the biopharmaceutical company Roivant Sciences.
This endeavor was embarked upon after he gained valuable experience working as an investment partner at a hedge fund. His vision and hard work have helped him climb the ladder of success in the business world.
But his journey didn’t stop there. In 2021, after deciding to step down from his role as Roivant’s chief executive, he co-founded and took the helm as executive chairman of Strive Asset Management.
This firm is special because it counters the traditional emphasis on corporate social responsibility. It’s clear that Ramaswamy isn’t one to follow the crowd. He carves his own path. …
The property was purchased in May 2021 for a whopping $2M. (from the Stanley Steemer estate)
… there’s more to him than his business ventures and properties. His Ohio voter registration is interesting because it lists him as being ‘unaffiliated‘ to any political party. This means he hasn’t declared loyalty to any specific political group.
However, in a twist of events, February 2024 saw Ramaswamy taking a bold step into the political arena.
He declared his candidacy for the Republican Party’s nomination for president in the 2024 election. This decision surprised many, given his previous ‘unaffiliated’ status.” …….
Vivek showed up at Mommy’s Crooked Big Pharma company, which was based solely on a fraudulent product. He then signed a DARPA contract to bulid another fraudulent product; the Clot Shot Genetic Jab. After assauting the American People with that poison, he moved on to a DEI-based hedge fund.
Out of nowhere, he was then inserted into the race as a Young MAGA-replacement for PDT. His campaign was funded by selling shares of his companies to State Street and Vanguard at vastly inflated prices, which speaks of CIA funding.
Through bullshit and flattery, he managed to glom on to the Trump orbit. Elon fired him because Elon hates competition, but also because Vivek wouldn’t do any of the heavy lifting for DOGE, because he’s a lazy Deep State Grifter whose only focus is on himself.
His 2021 purchase of an Ohio home only means the CIA has been planning his career for a while now.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Don’t fall for the carpet-bagger patent medicine con man, Ohio.
ps; let’s see that DARPA Contract, sonny.
Y’know, it’s been bugging me for a while now, but it’s just now hit me…
…- He’s the spitting image of Tom Haverford from Parks and Recreation.
Ramaswamy is doing what he does best, acting like he is from India and has a student’s knowledge of the idea of Liberty. I hope the people in Ohio will not support him. Of course, MAGA will have to supply an alternative. I have always distrusted people who talk too fast. They always smell like bad fish to me. If my brain could work faster, maybe my opinion would be different. No?
Don’t spend any time in Taxachusetts.
It’s full of motormouths!
(Myself often included unless I try very hard… that early conditioning is hard to beat. In my family, if you didn’t talk a mile a minute you didn’t get to say anything…)
Interesting, about Musk asking Vivek to leave, since it was Musk who first lit the H1B fire in anger and Vivek who then wrote in defense of Elon.
I doubt Elon’s any better on H1B immigration, just rather making a tactical withdrawl behind Vivek’s generous cover.
Yup!… – This is a Space X-approved, 2-stage mission: – Ramaswampy was the jettisonable booster 1st stage, and now Teh Elon payload’s on course, aiming to stick the landing so’s he can burrow hisself in deeper than an Alabama tick…
I don’t think this will be a huge loss for DOGE. Vivek is a trend surfer and an argumentative orator. If the Republicans had gone crazy he would be arguing for the Democrats. Also if the Democrat’s had actual support for the things they advocate for Vivek would also be there supporting them. The man’s real power is in being a commentator like Hannity ,but again that would require him to pick a side and be all in on America.
People think he is a Tech guy, nope he is not a pharma guy either he is a talker and and a Venture Capitalist. Both of which are held in low regards these days.
Like Romney.
Things that make you go hmm… 🤔
“Self-immolated” is a clever way of saying it. After Ted Cruz self-immolated in 2016 he was almost defeated by Beto O’Rourke. It won’t take much of a candidate to beat Ramaswamy as Ohio is not Texas.
…- Given the MAGA base antipathy at this point, Kamaltoe could proll’y take him – Solo one-shot stylee.
(…- Supposing that the DNC could actually be bothered with her drunken, washed-up ass, was willing to roll the dice and parachute her into the Ohio race, of course… (- I take it *actual* residency’s not an issue these days, since that Maryland Congresscritter, was it?, who lived in LA at the time, a year or so back, turned out to be a shoe-in… (I might be mis-remembering here?…)))
Han shot first. 😁
…- He *Most Certainly* did… 😉
Pretty sure within hours of DeSlime announcing who he was appointing for Vance’s senate seat… Vivek tweeted out he was running for OH Gov.
I figured he was just butthurt over not being picked, & his giant ego was in need of attention.
…- Nope, just the Sea Island gang trying to tee-up the congressional midterm f***-up, all in good time…

My take on Vivek’s comments about work ethic is that they are accurate to some degree, but given in the wrong place and time, plus being something that H1-B visas are not a fix for. Also, maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see Vivek go nuclear on the issue the way Musk did: telling anyone who argued with him to eff off and suggesting the motivation was racism was far and away the biggest act of self-immolation of the whole episode.
My enduring concern with Vivek is that he sprang to wealth with pharmaceutical startups and was all-in on masks and jabs until the opposite position was politically advantageous. He’s smart, speaks well, and has some good ideas, but I see no ideological foundation. He’s probably better than what Ohio’s currently got, but that’s not saying much considering how few GOP governors are worth a darn.
As for Cruz: is he not still in the Senate? Did Trump not say his dad was involved in the JFK assassination? Is he not ranked 6th in the senate for conservative voting record? Full disclosure: I’ve voted for both even though I’m not a TX resident, and I wouldn’t change that. From my perspective, the Cruz convention incident is water under the bridge and a silly example. The McCain feud, on the other hand… He would have been wise to tread more lightly around the war record, but overall, he was dead on with that snake.
“My take on Vivek’s comments about work ethic is that they are accurate to some degree,…”
…- Fair play Beartooth, however *Never-Ever* lose sight of the *Fact* that that damage done to the American work ethic over the last 40-50 or-so years was deliberate and intentional:…
…- From kindergarten and Saturday morning cartoonies, to K-stage edumifacation, to college, to culture, media, politics, economics, *Preferrential* immigrant labor over indigenous, domestic workforce/voter-bloc gerrymandery, and everything else, both adjacent and in-between… – This was, *All Of It*, premeditated full-spectrum dominance wafare, waged upon a domestic, *Civillian* populace (- Coz’, y’know, Geneva Conventions, an’ all that…)
