Embedded within the NSC are going to be operatives against the foreign policy interest of President Trump. Mike Waltz is trying to ferret them out.
Keep this in mind as the next few weeks unfold, because no doubt those IC embeds who are removed are going to leak shaped information in an effort to weaken President Trump and Mike Waltz. “State” has its own system of recruiting and promoting personnel, known as Foreign Service Officers. They rise through the ranks much like military to reach “Senior Foreign Service” considered (at least by DoS) as equivalent to military flag officers.
A high percentage of FSOs “Go Native” and identify more with the countries they are posted to than they do with the USA. They identify FAR more with the people they socialize with at embassy cocktail parties than they do with ordinary Americans. Many of them look down on and insult ordinary Americans while they are rubbing elbows with fellow diplomats from other countries. They see themselves as “citizens of the international order” rather than citizens of the USA. They see their mission as advancing the “Postwar International Consensus” rather than advancing the interests of the USA.
They value talk for the sake of talk and see bold action as unsophisticated and rash. Their usual approach is to do anything possible to keep diplomatic discussion going rather than trying to actually resolve anything.
Many of them were raised overseas, went to school overseas and/or attended Ivy League universities where much of the student body are international students. They vacation overseas. They often marry foreign nationals or people with multiple nationalities. As members of the Foreign Service they live mostly overseas or in ritzy suburbs around Washington DC or UN HQ in NYC where their neighbors and friends are all fellow Foreign Service or actual foreign diplomats. (Anthony Blinken is an example of this phenomenon.)
They really have no clue about who Americans are or how they think. Their values are not our values.

Being employed by government changes the nature of your relationship with the rest of the citizenry because the needs of your life and employment are often at odds with those of the people. This includes judges, teachers, police officers, etc……even military. If you’re a teacher or a cop and have a family to feed, it can be awful difficult to buck orders in order to preserve someone’s Natural and Constitutional rights. The more likely case is that the rights are trampled and reliability is non-existent.

The chances of half these “detailed” staff also being foreign born, or foreign raised, is very high. That is a security breech concern similar to the H-1B visa fraud.. The party of the ass gave us obama, a man not raised in this country as an American or citizen.. US birth certificate or not he was not raised in this country with American ideas or beliefs.. Next is their female version of the same.. She too was not raised in this country as an American with American values or beliefs.. It’s stands to reason many in our government are of the same cloth.. therefore they will never be MAGA.. Also half of our nightly “news” media are the of the same cloth
