Many people know Sean Curran from the photograph in Butler Pennsylvania as he covered President Trump during the assassination attempt.
I’m not sure what experience Curran has in large organization leadership; however, in keeping with a very Trumpian theme where the people closest to the work are moved into positions of strongest influence, this appointment makes sense.
“It is my great honor to appoint Sean Curran as the next Director of the United States Secret Service. Sean is a Great Patriot, who has protected my family over the past few years, and that is why I trust him to lead the Brave Men and Women of the United States Secret Service.
Sean has 23 years of Law Enforcement experience, starting his career in Secret Service in 2001, as a Special Agent in the Newark Field Office, where he conducted protection, intelligence, investigations, recruitment, and logistics support for the district. During my First Term, Sean served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division, with direct oversight and responsibility of multiple protectees, and enhanced security plans for my residences.
Sean has distinguished himself as a brilliant leader, who is capable of directing and leading operational security plans for some of the most complex Special Security Events in the History of our Country, and the World. He proved his fearless courage when he risked his own life to help save mine from an assassin’s bullet in Butler, Pennsylvania. I have complete and total confidence in Sean to make the United States Secret Service stronger than ever before.
Thank you Sean, and Congratulations!”
A president deserves a protective detail he trusts.

Good!
New leadership requires new people uncorrupted by institutions
plus — he’s a big, square-headed dude
when you want to be projecting strength, a coterie of big, square-headed dudes makes for a good foundation
(although big square-headed dudes don’t often use the term “coterie”, mind you)
PresTrump’s punching the air and chanting “fight, fight, fight!!!” is great iconography as well, of course
you heard it here first, folks
— “I am Nimrodman, and I approved this message”
Absolutely. Big square head dudes. 😂
Quite Nimble man! 👏😂
How about this guy??
I surely do hope he’s still in President Trump’s employ…

Strong but Silent
Ah, I was hoping for Bongino. He seemed like a disruptor.
Bongino was surprised that he was not consulted.
I was surprised too to be honest. But given Bongino’s hard headedness in refusing to control his way, way off the chart cursing during his shows on Rumble, I figured some of the members of Trump’s staff decided to go in a different direction. Could have been Susie herself. I am probably wrong cause I am a nobody. In my opinion, Sean made a better case as to why he should be the Director.
Unfortunately, Bongino’s foul mouth makes sailors look like priests. He is terrible, and he could have controlled himself, and has on Fox for years, but for some reason decided to go rogue with his show on Rumble. I do not know why. His own hubris? Just weird. Just respect the kids dude. They will be our future leaders and they need to hear from a brilliant mind as Bongino’s. But rated G not R.
Now he is in his own echo chamber where he can curse all he wants, unfortunately, he has checked into the Hotel California nobody wants him because he refuses to change, although on recent shows, he is admitting he is trying to change. Terrible decision by a man I truly respect. I love Dan Bongino and still listen to his show, less than before though, I hope he eases up on the cursing. I am not a prude by any means, the occasional curse word does not phase me. And to be honest, I had the same problem. Then I realized, it was not all about me. I need to be considerate of others and their moral/conservative beliefs. I love Charlie Kirk for that. The worst he does is say “scum bag”, but Charlie is smart and his style is not the Bongino style calling everyone a D- wad.
No kids allowed in the room during Bongino’s show! I hope it stops immediately, his show viewership would rise to 250,000 viewers or even 500,000. He ain’t gonna listen to me, but he should. He is a role model, whether he likes it or not! Start acting like one.
Bongino is a tough dude from “The Queens”…?
no, from Queens
“The Queens” is something else entirely
I scrubbed that visual as fast as humanly possible. That was close.
with ya on the kids
I grew up in a more genteel America (child of the fifties, and early at that)
don’t think I heard the F-word or knew what it meant til 13 or so
people didn’t use it carelessly, you didn’t hear it in movies or on TV
there was such a thing called “not in mixed company”, which meant if women were present
let alone kids
everyday American society has gotten a lot more crass, and for no good reason
(at least certain segments of American society, that is)
and geez, the rappers, don’t get me started
The ganja loosens the foul tongue, friends.
Bongino did participate in a panel discussion months ago regarding the 1st assassination attempt…Matt Gaetz facilitated it. How do we know he wasn’t consulted? I believe there were a few names being thrown around for SS Director including Bongino, Erik Prince, and Tom Armas, just to name a few. Mr. Curran’s name was in this as well from the beginning. (Also seems as though there will be behind-the-scenes “advisors” to help)
from zerohedge…
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/trump-takes-his-time-secret-service-director-choice
Bongino himself has made it very clear that he was not only not considered for the USSS job but that he was not consulted about it either. He announced on his show today that Sean Curran is an old and good friend of his and he thinks the world of him. However, he would not have been Bongino’s first choice for the Director job. Deputy Director, yes, but not the top job. Bongino has no interest in going back into government work. He’s making a lot of $$$ doing what he’s doing. Why would he give that up?
Sorry if this is a disqualifier, everyone is done. I like Dan. He damn near won a seat here in the democratic socialist state of Maryland.
Guy has put his ass (oh sorry) on the line for President’s. I’m quite sure even Donald has cussed in his lifetime. It’s his show too. I think this is ridiculous, but I respect your opinion.
President Trump swears, he even uses the F word sometimes. I wished he wouldn’t. Not because it upsets my sensibilities, but because it diminishes what he is saying. I’m guessing the men who founded this country were conducting themselves in a high manner, pretty sure they weren’t out and about cursing up a storm. At least, their outward character mattered to them and to others. Our country has degenerated so far it’s unfathomable. Words matter.

That the Troops may have an opportunity of attending public worship, as well as take some rest after the great fatigue they have gone through; The General in future excuses them from fatigue duty on Sundays (except at the Ship Yards, or special occasions) until further orders.1 The General is sorry to be informed that the foolish, and wicked practice, of profane cursing and swearing (a Vice heretofore little known in an American Army) is growing into fashion; he hopes the officers will, by example, as well as influence, endeavour to check it, and that both they, and the men will reflect, that we can have little hopes of the blessing of Heaven on our Arms, if we insult it by our impiety, and folly; added to this, it is a vice so mean and low, without any temptation, that every man of sense, and character, detests and despises it.

Jesus said:
Matthew 15:7-11 NKJV
Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
[8] ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
[9] And in vain they worship
Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
[10] When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: [11] Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.“
I agree with you 100%. I quit listening to him for a long time because of his long tirades using the F word every other word. And I am no prude either. I often wondered if he talked like that around his girls. Says a lot about a man. I’ve listened to him a couple of times recently and he has really toned it down. There is a time and place for everything and he chose wrong.
No excuses.
I began listening to Bongino years ago when it was just him and Joe. I learned a lot from him and he provided a lot of great information and insight.
However he has become quite bellacose and cocky.
I quit listening to him because the signal to noise ratio just got off the charts.
I listen to a few minutes of his show most mornings, but it gets old fast. More annoying to me than the swearing, is his near constant personal references. He apparently thinks he has a winning formula, but if he listened to some of his competition, he might realize that very few of them constantly talk about themselves. Hannity is a laughing stock because he has the same problem. Dan does it differently, but he takes himself very seriously. If he ever kept count of the times he says “I” and “my” in each show, and compared it to others with shows and podcasts, he’d hopefully be embarrassed.
The Dan Bongino Show is the number one conservative podcast in the world. You know not what you speak of.
Bonjino lost me with his need to control everything under his label and then there’s the must be under his label. Also, for some reason, he lost his right arm, Joe. They’d been together for so long that it turned me off when I couldn’t find him there anymore. I don’t think Bonjino would have taken the job. He likes the power he has now by simply speaking words. Perhaps Curran is that guy in the SS that Bonjino often refers to.
Bongino makes a fortune at his current gigs. He would not want to give that up. Unlike Hegseth who is giving up a huge salary to run DOD>
Plus he is also a big square headed dude.
Sundance asks, “I’m not sure what experience Curran has in large organization leadership…” Kimberly Cheatle had tons of experience…she was once the director of global security at PepsiCo, which makes me wonder what in the world Pepsi was thinking. All that experience didn’t stop her from blathering on about a nearly flat roof being too steep for Secret Service snipers to climb.
Christopher Wray had lots of experience too, but that didn’t keep him from blathering on about Trump being hit by shrapnel when the President-elect and lots of people behind him were caught in a hail of bullets…not schrapnel, idiot…BULLETS!
Sean Curran put his life on the line to protect President Trump. That’s all I know about him and that’s all I need to know!
I agree, my fingers are crossed with this guy. Bongino is not 100 percent on board with him, and I take what Bongino says to the bank. Trump family, I hope, grilled him about threats from drones which are the strongest threats and other areas, especially in terms of increasing the ranks of agents.
Let’s see what happens.
Time will tell…about a lot of Trump’s picks!
I am concerned about Rubio….wondering if he has the stamina to ‘go against’ banana republics and their own ‘mafia’.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/01/report-new-secretary-state-marco-rubio-headed-panama/
I have a feeling POTUS Envoys are a check to Rubio
I not sure Rubio is totally trustworthy so POTUS has
his envoys to send out and report back to him to see
if what Rubio is doing and saying match up a way
to keep Rubio from going rogue.. otherwise why does
he need them..
It is clear the SS failed to protect Trump during the rally in butler.
It is clear he was set up to be assassinated by the fbi in conjunction with the SS.knowledge of a butler pa turkey shoot.
So why didn’t sean warn Trump about the security danger?
If he didn’t at least inform Trump he was going to a trukey shoot in Butler why??
And yet President Trump has full confidence in this guy?
I don’t understand why he is being given a pass on this.
Sean had to know it was a turkey shoot setup.
23 years of this and that and gollee gosh I missed one but lets just pretend it did not hapoen, right?
Lets keep protending the SS did not know about the guy on the roof that was taken out buy a cop on the ground and not a sniper team.
Lets pretend.the SS protected Trump at his golf course also.
Trump says the FBI is corrupt but looks the other way about the SS corruption.
Strange.
Perhaps if we ever got the full story on what went on that day the way Congresscritters have promised, we would know why Trump made the decision he did.
I suspect the way Biden handlers starved his SS detail of resources such that overweight HSI desk jockeys had to be used is a big reason.
Kamala and Jill got the lion’s share of protection that afternoon.
Perhaps if we ever got the full story on what went on …
Yeah, I wanna know what the activity was on college-kid’s offshore bank accounts
Deposits? Source?
Any assassination-funding deposits?
Identities behind any deposits?
Communications to his phone and computers?
… we’ve never heard peep one on any of that
Dear President Trump:
Please shake loose some results of FBI so-called “investigations” into that stuff
… and assign some fresh folks to re-trace those investigations and conduct value-added inquiry to supplement any shortcomings
let’s hear what went on and who paid for what went on
Does congress have power to get the full story though? Seems like one of those secrets that agency insiders would bury forever.
USSS Protective Detail candidates go through a 9 – month training regimen to work in that position, the HSI replacements received their Protective Detail “training’ through a 2 – hour long webinar. What is wrong with this picture?
I doubt that any of the SS would be willing to be standing up there on stage with Trump while their co workers , or FBI took pot shots at Trump.
Unless Curran was one of the sacrificial lambs who didn’t know Trump was being set up for assassination.
You may be right but Curran was part of a contingent close to Trump’s person, so I don’t think he necessarily had to know how the overall SS protection plan was structured. I also think Trump’s too smart to turn a blind to anything, let alone something related to his personal protection.
Trump likes him, like he likes Elon.
.
“I’m not sure what experience Curran has in large organization leadership…”
I suspect that whatever is involved, he rapidly can figure it out. That’s what the accountants, lawyers, HR, IT, and other staff advisors are for. He already has the leadership cred as far as knowing what the job requires, something that the Cheatle management types don’t have.
.
.
Cheatle’s priorities were focused on having women and minorities making up 30% of the SS agent hires. She was about as effective at her job as the LA fire chief gal.
experience
“She’s tied to both the Cheneys and Bidens…
“her transcribed interview with J6 committee has never been made public…
“It’s unclear whether her interview is one of several that DHS (which houses Secret Service) is withholding from Congress…

Never really noticed before…
Kinda strange that it looks like all 3 are smiling, no? 😳
That is PHOTOSHOPPED!!
Shame on poster “Seth” for not stating that it is a fake.
Gullibility warning :
“A failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump led to a rush of falsehoods online. Double-check sources and make sure you’re getting information from credible news outlets.”
wow! good good good good catch, Sonia
thx for that
Subtle but not so subtle changes to news items like the one presented for distraction, is yet another downside to AI.
They still look like they’re hiding behind the President. He’s standing straight up and they’re bent over.
I give the lady agent credit for at least doing her job which she did.
It is not her fault she is a good foot shorter than POTUS and should not
have been on that detail.. But she did what was expected of her in that
situation..(better than the ladies at the car who looked like they were hired
by Kelly Temp service and didn;t know what to do. running back and forth..
Wasn’t she the one criticized because she was unable to get her service weapon out of its holster ?

Ooops-we locked the gates. Better call a locksmith.
Right.
Wow! Interesting. This kind of boggles my mind. Dang Almost look photo shopped.
I’ve had enough of “qualified” people leading us to disaster. Let ‘er rip Pete, Sean, Tulsi et al.
I saw this on Twitter several days ago, but never saw an official announcement. I wonder why it took so long to make it.
As for choosing the way he did, I suppose after you have put the safety and security of yourself and your family in the mans hands for several years, I suspect President Trump got to know his capabilities well, and trusts him.

Rowe denied exploiting nine eleven for the job.
https://headlineusa.com/report-head-of-trumps-security-detail-tapped-to-head-the-secret-service/
Hmmm.
Have to admit, I was hoping for Dan Bongino (who may not have wanted the job) appointed to that position … whom IIRC supports Curran.
Regardless, “The Secret Cervix” hardest hit …
prolly too hard to confirm with his audio trail.
Some people’s foul mouth are others fresh air & honest talk.
Dan Bongino is an American patriot that has earned his right to speak as he wishes about subjects he has years of real world experience with.
ok, John, if you’re gonna use that photo as your avatar …
… you have to learn his monologue about landing on other planets with fractions
… and be ready to recite it here on request
that’s only right, I think you’ll agree
Very true, John. People have the right to use foul language!!
Other people have the right to not like his foul language and decide whether or not to listen to his speech.
That is how it works.
Bongino weighed the risks and rewards for using foul language and made his choice.
It is the same for people who have green hair, nose piercings, and tattoos all over their faces. They have a right to do that to themselves. The rest of the world has a right to not hire, befriend, or date them.
A lot of people are under the misconception that others have to like and celebrate the way that they present themselves to the world and that is not true.
The left wants to force us to like men who wear women’s clothes, wigs, and makeup. But we do not have to.
We are free to have our own level of taste. So, yes, he has earned his right to speak as he wishes but others have the right to not like the way he conveys his message.
Why not pick the guy assigned to the runner position in the JFK motorcade who held his hands up in disgust after given the order to stand down, just before you know what happened.
Makes as much sense as picking this guy, even if that guy is now dead.
Seriously, given the stakes, this is nuts. It’s both insane and inane. It’s not just 47’s life it’s his whole families lives, yet he makes a nutso choice like this? Are we on the Apprentice again where the worst that happens is someone looks like a fool?
Or is the whole thing just a reality show.
I mean how do you graduate from someone working on the POTUS protection detail to being someone qualified to run efficiently an organization like the Secret Service, in the time since Butler to now?
He looks like he can kick some ass
Maybe what’s needed is not a braniac guy on all things strategic
… but a guy who can kick some ass to get the braniacs on-point and applying their skills to purpose
Despite all the DEI and lesbo and trans placements in agencies these days, there’s still a place for strong men
… and one who’s readily perceived as a strong man
See my ‘big square-headed dude” treatise upthread
The point is DEI has infected all Federal Agencies and SS is one of those agencies where it does the most damage and has the most consequence, because mistakes have consequences, let alone widespread and general incompetence, which breeds mistakes. Which. Can’t. Be. Tolerated. In the SS.
But DEI is there and eliminating that without killing the patient (i.e. permitting a mistake to happen while you’re eliminating it) requires exquisite skill and extreme competence. Especially when you’re working at management level which requires an entirely different skillset than that needed when working in a hands-on field position.
That’s the problem.
yeah, I getcha
thx for your extra explanation
love, love, love your nom de plume, by the way
sorry, should have said lesbo-homo … so as not to have singled out the lesbos needlessly
— Butty-gig and his nursing accesories
— Luggage thief, the guy with a mustache and bright red lipstick
— Pup handlers
— your favorite other examples
My speculation is that he has been in the trenches and knows the REAL DIRT on who is worthless in the field.
I have seen bosses come and go and none of them knew what the losers in the trenches were really up to.
Not once did any of these bosses try to learn who was worthless and lazy. They just stayed in their bubble not know what was really going on.
SEAN WILL ALWAYS HAVE OUR PRESIDENT’S BACK AND KEEP HIM SAFE
GOD BLES
Why were secret service cellphones wiped clean on or about Jan 6? Why was there no aerial cover for Trump’s campaign events? Why were secret service agents unconcerned for their safety with the discovery of a pipe bomb at DNC HQ on Jan 6th?
Who was the first assassin speaking with outside of the FBI building just prior to his attempt on President Trump? Why was the secret service agent who stumbled upon the second assassin such a lousy pistol marksman?
These are a few – a few – of the many questions he’d better get an answer to and pronto.
And while he’s getting acclimated in his new roll, please announce the termination of all secret service personnel investigations into counterfeiting and credit card fraud. These are critical crimes that require focus and dedication. They are not side-hustles.
That should be the first thing Trump does, have a team review everyone cell phones messaging.
why
https://revolver.news/2024/05/meet-donell-harvin-trump-hating-deep-state-official-who-predicted-j6-pipe-bombs-in-advance/
side-hustles
A: Because they helped overthrow PDT.
Situational awareness is extremely important. It’s obvious that DJT who learned it long ago detects those who have it and those who don’t…
fwiw
“One man who is pictured with Zelensky, the shooter, Biden and Harris.”
First order of business is to get rid of the overweight DEI hire who had very poor firearms training…how many more like her in the Service?
Only the best to protect our President…
yes … a coterie of big, square-headed dudes … I’d contend
She (and, I suspect, all the female protective security personnel that day) is a member of the Homeland Security Investigations division not the Secret Service. The personnel borrowed from HSI were “trained” by watching a 2 – hour webinar on how to work on the protective detail.
This is awesome.
While Curran has a lot of years on the job, my sense is the only years that count are the years detailed to Trump 45-47.
As in The Apprentice, Trump 45-47 would not waste his time with someone who he does not believe capable after his experience with him in a very personal capacity. I expect Trump 45-47 will treat him as an apprentice and by the end of his term the Secret Service will be head and shoulders above where they are now.
Why would anyone involved in the security at the Butler rally be promoted?
I’m assuming Ruh-Row was fired?
Few may share my opinion, but I’m much less concerned with the individual selected than I am getting answers to questions/truth.
What was the SS involvement in the planning or coverup of the pipe bomb incidents?
Who was involved in the wiping of cell phone data?
What were the deficiencies/nefarious actions associated with the SS in the planning and conduct of the Butler event? (He should know some things as he was present/involved).
Were any crimes committed or covered up associated with the WH cocaine incident?
Getting answers to these questions and others could begin the process of restoring some trust in the S Service.
I like the fact that someone on the front lines who has seen management’s disregard for their lives put on display now have the opportunity to “right the ship”!
What’s with the weird message that one is posting messages to quickly slow down? Some people have the ability to think fast and type fast…too weird.
it’s a thing
it’s been around forever
learn to tolerate it, would be my suggestion
What happened with Dan Bongino? I thought he was to be the leader of the USSS. Did I miss something?
Dollars to donuts Sean taps into the GWOT SF guys who have executive and high level protection experience
Bongino could never quite bring himself to say that Jill’s BFF Machine Gun Cheatles and Homeland Special Investigations shot PDT.
Mistakes were made
lapses
incompetence
more funding needed
DEI hires, etc.
No.
The Obiden Occupation Government shot him, including rogue Secret Service, Dan.
non- pretending.
What happens to the scumbag who is the acting director – is he fired, demoted, reassigned, resigned……..
