Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
I’m going for perfect and nothing less.

Wish I had the apochromatic set-up I’ve been looking at, got to resolve some stuff before I get that far into my wishlist, but been somewhat obsessed with watching the planets since checking out Jupiter and Saturn a couple of Summers back with a comparatively primitive spotting scope, and being stunned by all the moons I could see.
Venus, Jupiter, and Mars have been very visible when you’ve got clear skies. Saturn is up there, and visible to the naked eye, too, but doesn’t pop like the others. I’ve been watching them line up for weeks… very cool!
It is supposed to last for a bit of time, I am excited about Tuesday because of Trump being sworn in. The Universe is lining up!

The American Civil War was fought over a State’s right to have slaves. Your revisionist history can’t change the opinions of Southern legislators whose opinions are written in the Congressional Record for all of Eternity that the abolition of slavery was a bridge too far.
Please explain what the South was doing with slaves in 1861? They had slaves, correct? Should they have had slaves? Was slavery wrong?
IMO, putting the morality of slavery aside because slavery had been an institution since the signing of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, consider an overview of the root cause of the War Between the States.
One group of States (the industrial north) wanted another group of States (the agricultural south) to simply erase their entire culture and economy. The politicians, business people and most/many of the people of the South were not ready and willing to accept the dictates from the North and the Federal government to alter its own moral codes and essentially eliminate the South’s economic engine. So they chose to secede.
But the North and the Federal government were committed to imposing their own beliefs, opinions and moral convictions on the South and initiated punishments.
There were already voices in the South speaking against slavery. I believe that because of the ties between families, heritage and shared wisdom those voices would have been successful in the long run had the levers of repudiation and punishment not been brought to bear without regard for the differences in both culture and economic factors.
The North and Federal government demanded change in the morals and attitudes of the people of the South and, in the end, forced the South’s submission due to its industrial military might.
This is a simplistic bare-boned bird’s eye perspective without getting into all of the nuances and mistakes in diplomacy, including the debate over differing but long-standing and engrained morals at that time. The North wanted the South to change and the South wanted its autonomy.
I am of the opinion that the push by the North and the Federal government to force submission by the South was the turning point at which the 10th Amendment was damaged and when the Federal government took a giant leap forward in expanding its reach into our lives.

Florida abduction report leads to discovery of U-Haul van filled with mostly Chinese migrants
The migrants were mostly Chinese citizens along with citizens from Brazil, Cuba and Ecuador, police said Friday
A group of more than 30 migrants, most of them Chinese citizens, was found inside a U-Haul truck Friday after a report of an alleged abduction, Florida authorities said.
The discovery began when a security guard for a homeowners association in the Miami suburb of Coral Gables reported seeing an abduction around 9:35 a.m., Coral Gables Police Chief Edward James Hudak Jr. told reporters.
The guard reported seeing a Toyota and a U-Haul truck involved in the incident and immediately alerted a patrol officer, the chief said. The officer then issued a BOLO, a be on the lookout alert, for the vehicles.
The vehicles were stopped by officers, and the woman who was allegedly abducted was taken from the Toyota. Officers then began investigating the U-Haul truck, which had 16 Chinese females, 15 Chinese males, one male from Cuba and a female from Ecuador, according to police.

Many believe Andrew Weissman put Arthur Andersen out of business because of their involvement with Enron. 85,000 Andersen employees lost their jobs world-wide (many who had never heard of Enron). But the associated law firms and other consulting firms skated. Losing the business of the US Government for four years would put a huge dent in the CBP developer firm’s business. These consulting firms are famous for not being sentimental and huge layoffs in the Government practice would likely result. But no problem … they already know how to code.
The postscript to the Arthur Anderson case was that the Supreme Court exonerated them of any wrongdoing. So yet again, the DC swamp scum destroyed a completely legitimate and very large company that employed tens of thousands of people, for no reason other than they could.
But renaming it “The Bellhop Patrol” was a little over the top.

This is not going away, no matter how many Greenlands Trump wants to buy. H1-B is anti-MAGA and anti-American, period. One of the main reasons I began supporting Trump back in 2015 was because he opposed H-1B visas. H1-B must be completely eradicated, not reformed. American jobs are for American citizens, and no one else. Can’t find an American? Then train them. That’s the way this country has operated from the very beginning and there is zero reason to change it now. We need an immigration moratorium (both legal and illegal) for 40 years, just like we had between 1924 and 1965.
I believe PDJT has said must come in legally, AND that the legal system needs to be fixed, it is as intentionally broken as the system that allows illegals to flo in.
In fact, yes the border is vital, but so are things like VISA Overstays.
