The story behind the story is this: almost 3 years ago I suffered from high pressure in my eye (later corrected) I posted here that I had a team of (very small) angels working inside my eyes to make my vision as good as it could possibly be. Feral Cat immediately sent ‘Sewing Angels’ to work on my optic nerve. Since my doctors tell me my eyes are stable, I can only conclude the angels are doing a magnificent job.
To ‘keep’ Feral Cat alive, please read and share my short love story.

That’s a great quote. Gabaldone is the author of the Outlander book series (1991) – also a Great Love Story without limits of time & space – and she has been consultant to the TV series (2014-2025) – you must be a reader (or watcher; she lives near me so I’ve been following some).
The series is a wonderful escape from current events – with factual elements of our own history repeating now, oddly enough.’That was then, this is now’ is weirdly evident, as part of the historical-fiction-genre story takes place during the time & events around our fight for independence, the American Revolution. It’s uplifting in part, I think, because the characters Love deeply AND endure & survive many hardships that modern people simply don’t experience – Thank Heavens.
It has been a major benefit to Scotland – where the story is primarily set and the series is mostly filmed – in the way of (historic) tourism; Glasgow University has added an entire department with interdisciplinary focus: Outlander Studies.

My firefighter captain friend, newly retired a year ago (approx 35 years LAFD), went back in to help in palisades. Didn’t have proper masking and had two strokes this week due to smoke inhalation.
Walked out of the hospital, has follow ups, but went right back in to help yesterday… because he is relentless, and brave, and can’t sit and watch.
We run to the fires… his literal, mine Spiritual.

I have word that I’m at the top of their list and they’re discussing just waiting for me to get there in July rather than me be charged with predatory penalties to break my lease of $7,000.
I had a few questions for them and then I’ll need to go out for a visit. We are still negotiating and I’m getting through the “counting the costs” and reconciling closing a serious chapter on my life. I’ve lived all over the country, but I came back to Indiana and I was born here. Saying goodbye to our camping spot near my father’s military cemetary.. a handful of dear dear friends who are aging and thus our next time seeing them may be on the other side of Heaven. Daughter’s talking of taking her last flight with her favorite instructor and then… moving towards the education that can make flight a reality for her future.
I’ve heard so many good things about Pennsylvania and my BSF revelation study spoke to my “grass” and “grain” work positions today and my international ladies group prayed, as we were in awe of God’s Divine Work in everyone’s life.
We are in a “this is surreal” stage… we have switched from “we need to buy the kiddo a car” to “we need to move and we want to buy a house”, so that we can stop renting, own four cats with no issues, and have a little dirt pad to call our home.
I’m harkening back to the story of Joseph in the Bible and his stewardship over Pharoah’s grains to save people from starvation during the famine. As much as I pray to the Lord to serve His Purpose, I find it awesome and an honor that He may place me in the midst of such an important role. I would not handle the grain… just the money… but I’m humbled by the honor of it and the noble cause. Going to be hard work and long hours working with the farmers and the customers. God’s work. He Is so good!
We are also really excited about being within 100 miles of DC for our country’s 250th birthday with Trump at the helm. We will be spending a lot of time when I’m free.. traveling around DC and the government’s great historical sites… and closer to the ocean for nice weekend trips.
We are testimony to “If God brings you to it, He’ll get you through it.”
I’m mustering the gumption and the courage and leaning on Him for the faith that it will be a good move for us.
Your daughter may have already selected her college, but just in case, as a person born here, I might call her and your attention to what, when a friend’s husand went there, used to be known as Williamsport Technical College, a votec school established in 1914 that played an integral part in Pennsylvania’s once formidable industrial dominance.
It is now an affiliate of Pennsylvania State University and known as the Pennsylvia College of Technology, and offers “bachelor, masters, and certificate majors in over 100 fields of study.”
My friend’s husband studied airplane mechanics there and was immediately hired by United Airlines for a job at their maintenance hub in Cleveland. It was a top-paying that he held for life, eventually rising to the ranks of management.

Thank you for the local connection and knowledge. I really appreciate it. Daughter has learning disability… very minor… but relevant and some major learning gaps from former public education. We are identifying them and steadily improving. Thus remediation with accuplacer to build… and increase GPA for acceptance.
Currently, idea is remediation courses and some pre-reqs at Hagerstown Community as they have online correspondence that she can take from home for first year and they consider her a resident after 3 months. High focus on Algebra and English…
Then, there is a FAME USA program at William and Mary, sister program to the one here at Vincennes University. It is slightly higher cost in Virginia… but has neighbor state pricing slightly higher than in state, but lower than out of state.

It’s a hybrid classroom learning, on the job training program where the students learn electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, welding, control coding, in an accelerated 2 year technical degree in 15 months… at VU here in Indiana only $22k for tuition while students earn$23/hr at their sponsor employers… they want the students earning so they remain debt free. Students graduating are offered $60k first year and make $90-$100k year five.
The Vincennes Univ FAME program 15 months then can cross the hall and attend Purdue for final 2 years Aviation degree reducing 4 year Purdue cost from $160k to $100k for aviation.
Virginia should have equivalent and would be within 300 miles from home. We will see if they partner with PCT… which I bet they do, so thank you for the alert to find their connection. We learn more 2/6th.

There are sister schools all over the country with major company sponsorships.
Whether daughter flies planes through 4 year professionally… or if she just remains private pilot… dollars earned working good job can afford her the freedom to learn.
She still has slant towards the military… but any of these programs… should she decide to serve… would help her achieve rank. We are very uncertain about the military, because of how badly it’s deteriorated, but leaving the doors open for anything because she loves our country and wants to serve it. She also loves the law and the Constitution… Liberty U is close and Regents U offers both Law and Mechanical Engineering, so should she segway… it’s all right there.
What’s utterly amazing is that she’s had all these things in mind from a very young age… and now The Lord seems to moving us within proximity (within 300 miles) just at the right time through chance (Providence) that this work position came open for me just when it did. We are fully relying on the Lord’s timing and not pushing any of this.
Like a tractor beam, He is keeping her honed into this region and areas of study, as she matures and calibrates her path… He seems to be guiding her right along.
One should never believe that anything is unattainable. If it be God’s Will, He Will absolutely make the way. She is completely at ease.

A quick note…
Brian is being admitted for a liver transplant at 1 am.
There are so many aspects I want to tell, but at the moment I would like to ask for prayers for the soul of man whose liver it is as he has just passed into the hands of God from this earthly plain 🙏🏻
His family asked that Brian specifically receive this great gift so he can have renewed good health enabling him to have many more years together with Caroline and his family.
So please also, please pray for this wonderful family who in their sorrow have made the decision to donate 🙏🏻
We all are having a mix of emotions right now as you won’t have any trouble imagining.
And finally, please dear friends, pray for Brian that this be a successful new beginning for him. He has the best surgeons at UT Southwestern.

Brian is being admitted for a liver transplant at 1 am.

Serious suggestion for incoming President Trump administration.
Direct all executive branch personnel be drug tested NLT 1 Feb 2025. Especially security clearance holders.
Contract third party or have military (like US Army CID/AFOSI) or retired military from those job descriptions accomplish background checks on ALL security clearance holders in federal service to be accomplished starting at the top of each executive branch agency and working their way down.
