I’ve followed all this stuff for my entire adult life, I’ve used a holistic practitioner before we even knew what to call these people and followed what is now becoming ‘a thing’ which is preventative care in addition to working with a doctor to add information and not just blindly following orders. It’s about learning and studying human health to properly take care of your own body so that you don’t get sick in the first place. When something comes up, the first place I look to is FOOD, and even NO FOOD as fasting cures much of what ails us.
This, when you think about it, is self reliance, it’s the complete opposite of Dependence and that right there is a large part of the core of this battle. They don’t want us to be a healthy flock that knows how to heal ourselves using high quality food and supplementation.
So anyway, this article says that according to their data about a 1/3 of the people are moving this way.
The person being interviewed said he felt it was more like 50% because so many people are doing this quietly and not reporting it to their PCP.. and I happen to know this is spot on.
Don’t forget, a whole lot of people fear being dropped from insurance and all sorts of things, they fear their doctor, so they do all this quietly- so yes, it’s certainly higher than 1/3.
So this is really true progress towards healing this very sick nation to then turn a corner.
We can fight back and do a whole lot more when we all feel much better.. sick people are worn down and dependent.

I overheard a conversation recently by some neighbors recently. One couple is a retired Marine Gunnery Seargent and his wife, who is a nurse.
They and another couple were having a free ranging convo about “alternative medicine” and were broadly in agreement on holistic health, etc.
My point being JR. is ALREADY sparking a National Discussion, and I don’t think Big Pharm/Big Ag are going to be able to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
My Grandfather only had a 5th grade education, my Grandmother graduated high school.
But, between them they knew how to harvest wild mushrooms safely, how to make their own soap, how to build a house, and repair a car or tractor, and;
How to set a broken bone, deliver a calf or baby, treat a burn, fever or gunshot wound, etc.
There was a time when such things were common knowledge, because the nearest Dr. may be many miles/days away.
Now, like not having firearms because we have 911 and cops, etc. we have become far too relient on civilisation to supply us with the basic necesities of life and need to move back towards self-relience and inter-relience within our community.
We may need to be our own doctors sooner than we think.

I’m aware of several that removed themselves from the government and insurance circus, started private practices that took no insurance which had simple yearly fees for membership. Some have gone so far as to offer in home medical care like doctors of yore. This was BEFORE the fiasco of the last 4 years.
We’re seeing the shake out here of the good and the sold out doctors.
The ones that truly have integrity and want to help people are leaving and creating new systems.
Anyone choosing to remain a pill pusher we should be pretty careful about.
It’s a really good idea to go to all your local second hand stores and dig through their book shelves.
Buy anything you can find about health, how the body works, how to cure all the fairly regular stuff that goes wrong.. just anything you can find.

It is so infuriating how irresponsible our state and federal governments have become with tax money. It’s always been bad, but it’s exponentially bad now. They don’t even seem to care anymore if the can’t account for billions of dollars lost. I remember reading that California passed legislation to spend $1.5B to develop water reservoirs, but no reservoirs were built and nobody knows where the $1.5B went.
I remember the $850M was allocated for shovel ready projects, but found that the projects were not shovel ready so they repurposed much of the money. I remember reading that hundreds of billions of Covid relief funds were lost to fraud. And, we continue to send hundreds of billions to states for Covid relief.
We’ve sent billions to Ukraine, but don’t ask what they did with it. The State Department can’t account for a billion or two and the Defense Department hasn’t passed an audit in seven years.
They constantly repurpose money for other things than what it was intended for. The fact is they don’t really care. It’s like they get to play with a 4, 5 or $6T Slush Fund.
It will never happen, but each government institution should have to present an annual transparent audit report and have audit inspectors validate their report.
Just venting my total frustration on how our governments feel no obligation to be fiscally responsible and they laugh at us for asking-it’s classified ya know.

This is out of reach for most middle to lower income families… and we will see School Choice funded with incremental increases that will not keep pace with cost of living and we will see private tuition rates rise. (I say this as a former public advocate for School Choice here in Indiana – got a picture of myself next to Judas Pence at the State House from my “participation”… which I now deeply regret, but I keep it, because it’s history.)
It’s all a shell game. Politics is SO DIRTY here in Indiana. Now with the call for the Federal Government to eliminate the Department of Education, the risk of these States running unfettered with their maniacal liberal overtaking of the education systems could remove one strong arm in reigning them in. I am torn about this approach, for every “positive” move can have a damaging recoiling effect.
Until ordinary people can run for office without a war chest, and multinationals stop funding special interests and political campaigns, we will continue to have a failure of a “Representative Legislature” at the Federal and local level. It should cost nothing to run for office and public television should be free for all citizens to be used to get to know various politicians’ political platforms and agendas. Point is, they fight tremendously hard to prevent true school choice, and for a reason.
Prevent poison pills, like requiring home schoolers and private schools from being required to meet the b.s. mandates of public schools, and true, nationwide school choice is an intrinsic, existential threat the Conmunists.

I watched that video of Pacific Palisades fire aftermath. The first thing I noticed was the houses that remained standing were on larger lots, surrounded by lawns and gardens in most cases. The houses that burned to the ground were spaced very close together, such that a fire could easily spread from one structure to another by proximity, despite fire-resistant roofing. I have seen this in housing developments of recent years, where planners acquiesce to developers’ desire for smaller lots, to cram the largest number of houses into a development area.

Perhaps true, but I would say a house is not worth $5 million, if it is 5 or 10 feet from the house next door. My second thought is that California learned little from the fire that wiped Paradise, CA off the map a few years ago. Multiple cul-de-sacs, feeding into a two-lane road with no other egress, that quickly jams up when people try to evacuate. We learned much from the fires that burned American cities 150 years ago, and it has all been forgotten.
Some California communities have zoning that allows new construction to be much larger and take up more of the lot than previously allowed.
I forget the term for it, zero something or other.
A woman from California was talking to me about this, somebody might buy the house next to yours in a neighborhood of modest bungalows, tear it down, and build a monstrosity that overhangs your house and blocks your windows, etc.

Biden may plan some more nasty barbs at Trump before 1/20, but at least Biden was denied this bit of phony piety.
Can’t help remembering on the day President Trump went to visit Biden who sat there, above him with that wide, vicious smile while not answering any questions. Like the fake leader of a stolen government. Poor President Trump had to endure it for over four hours. Hope the food was good though, knowing Biden, President Trump was smart enough not to eat it.

Shortly afterward that post, they posted another one where their followers could supposedly ‘help’ the victims of the wildfires.
While this sounds like a nice gesture at first glance, it turns out to be a mirage once one clicks on the donation link. Viewers are sent to a Democratic political action committee/fundraising platform’s website called ActBlue.
As TGP readers may know, ActBlue has been credibly accused of a variety of scandals, including using foreign money laundering to fund federal elections. Moreover, according to the FEC.gov website, potentially thousands upon thousands of individuals whose identities are being stolen to launder millions of dollars for political campaigns and PACs across the country.
ActBlue almost always takes a percentage of all donations and uses donor sign-ups to populate their email lists. It’s a decent bet they will utilize this opportunity to build their lists at minimum, if not take a cut of the donations.
Assuming this is all true, Democrats across America will benefit at the expense of innocent fire victims. One of the worst catastrophes in American history will be used to help Democrats regain power in Washington, D.C.
It does not get more disgusting than that.

Since many critics put at least some of the blame for the massive spread of the wildfires on the failure to clear brush and ensure working hydrants, maintain reservoirs, and ensure an adequate water supply, it hardly seems to be the time to be crowing about “environmental stewardship.”
I am a frequent critic of Gov. Newsom, but as someone who lives here and knows many friends who have lost their houses, I am hopeful that he can deliver on his promises. That being said, the situation is beyond daunting, and rebuilding will take years and it’s unclear whether things in Altadena and the Pacifici Palisades—the two areas hardest hit—can ever return to normal.
