In a post on his Truth Social page, President Trump shared some information from Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick who is reporting that the border wall panels have been pulled from auction.

Last Thursday, President-elect Trump submitted an amicus brief supporting an injunction to prevent the Biden administration from proceeding with the sale of the materials, as well as calling for an investigation into the legality of the auction. Earlier that week, President Trump remarked that the sale was “almost a criminal act” given that it was happening shortly before he was set to return to the White House.
It appears the 8,000 panels will be available for use immediately after President Trump takes office on January 20, 2025.

Yes… I am 89… I have been ‘poor’, whatever that means, and have never had a food stamp, unemployment payment, or any of the other ‘freebies’, which are not at all ‘free’, and are costing taxpayers billions.. A pox on it all.
Me as an employer, FWIW the unemployment system is fully funded by employers, I have to have an account with the state that has to be kept at a certain level based on a formula that the GVT comes up with.
If it is dispersed to an eligible former employee(even if fired for stealing from me), they debit my account and I the employer has to pay it back.
If I close my business I will not get a refund of my account that had to be kept @ over 3k or I have to make penalty payments to get it back there. (tho they may use it for employees that are eligible to file, most have other jobs already for my 5 hr max per day shift @ minimum tipped wage)
The GVT debits my account every year to fund their (mis) management of the system, about 1k a year (30% of my account) (small employer mind you).
I also pay a percentage of payroll to the FEDS to (mis) manage the federal system, I’m sure the feds also take a cut for management, otherwise they almost NEVER use the money unless it is a declared “emergency” like 9/11 or the 2008 housing crisis which for both I was on the unemployment system.
I find it funny that the politicians are all out bloviating about the (supposed taxpayer) money they are
having“forced” to spend for those 9/11 UE payments but forget to mention that they have been collecting money (about 1%) from everyone for just that purpose, and using that money (like Social Security) for other purposes, like say sending it to Ukraine.I would like to see an accounting of the FUTA system, there are probably Trillions of dollars that SHOULD be in an account but are only on paper/computer/IOU’s as the money has already been spent by politicians.

I saw picture of them loaded on a truck…that would make one 8′ wide. For a wide load, I think the maximum would be no more than 14′. So, counting 8000 panels, either 12 miles or, at most, 21 miles. Unless they are counting each panel as more than one shipped panel.

All of the discussion seems to ignore the fact that the ability to sell the border wall panels and other unused material resulted from a bill that was voted on and passed by a GOP controlled House.
The current regime should not have undertaken the sale, if they were interested in doing the correct thing for the country, knowing PDJT is going to start building again. But we know they don’t care about the country.
Irrespective of that, PDJT had to waste time in this issue because his own party put him in that position.
Everyday that elapses between now and January 20 is another opportunity for the GOP to sabotage PDJT. The Dems can just stand by and let the Republicans self destruct.

Told my husband that if they went back on sale I wanted to buy one section. Didn’t know how I would get it home, but knew that if I actually bought one and got it home I was going to cut it up and make MAGA Build The Wall jewelry with it.
But I much prefer the sections stay at the border and are put to use doing what they will do best, protect our border!

I saw a picture showing them on a truck, which would suggest an eight foot width. With a wide load permit, they could be more, I suppose, but at eight foot, that would make about 12 miles.

There is excitement and optimism among numerous holiday party goers in Dallas about Paxton’s exploring a primary challenge to Cornyn in 2026.
