Sutton’s next three published books (Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution, Wall Street and FDR and Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler) detailed Wall Street’s involvement in the Bolshevik Revolution to destroy Russia as an economic competitor and turn it into “a captive market and a technical colony to be exploited by a few high-powered American financiers and the corporations under their control” as well as its decisive contributions to the rise of Adolf Hitler and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, whose policies he assessed as being essentially the same “corporate socialism,” planned by the big corporations. Sutton concluded that it was all part of the economic power elites’ “long-range program of nurturing collectivism” and fostering “corporate socialism” in order to ensure “monopoly acquisition of wealth” because it “would fade away if it were exposed to the activity of a free market.”

Don’t remember exactly but I think he also gave my dog an antibiotic. This dog was my best friend in the world (other than my husband) so I was very relieved when he fully recovered.
My chihuahuas chase the wild turkeys away. One panicked turkey almost flew into my head as it struggled to get altitude!

In the years leading up to the 2024 presidential election, the Democrats and establishment Republicans who wanted to see Joe Biden, and later Kamala Harris, remain in office went all in on one overarching narrative above all: that Donald Trump represented an existential threat to American democracy. Biden’s team and their allies in politics and media repeated this claim day after day, essentially trying to convince millions of Americans that elections would literally stop happening in this country if Trump won. [AND they managed to do very well – Trump only had a landslide in EVs, not the popular vote – W]
Taking a step back, Trump was framed as the domestic enemy in a broader international fight that saw “autocratic” leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and others facing down a coalition of “democratic” governments.
Democracy versus autocracy was meant to be the defining dynamic of the day. Meaning everything from the war in Ukraine to the fight over climate change was framed as one big battle where the “good guys” were defined purely by their commitment to the democratic process.
And, in that global fight, no effort was more important—we were told—than keeping Trump out of the White House.

The political class has again revealed that they do not actually care about democracy. They only use the fact that much of the public does care about democracy to try and serve their own ends.
The same goes for human rights abuses and crackdowns on dissent carried out by foreign governments that Washington wants to overthrow. When true, these are totally legitimate criticisms to level at these state leaders. But our government officials have demonstrated a complete willingness to ignore, support, and even partake in the same abuses when it’s useful to them. So, again, they are only using the fact that decent people care about these issues to serve their own agenda.
Just as they have overused and abused “rascist” etc. they have overused, misused and misapplied this cry to “protect Democracy” and I think more and more, people ain’t buying it.
Nobody except President Trump ever thinks about saving our ‘Constitutional Republic.’ These fascists -who haven’t fairly represented us in years- conveniently sidestep our Constitution, in the hope we will forget about it too.
National security isn’t achieved by ignoring the founding documents of our country, rather, it is achieved by upholding them.
Regarding the Federal Budget Scam now taking place v/v the State of CA now saying state of emergency exists due to COVID resurgence…this is another PUBLICLY executed prime example how the “legal” pump and steal of a Federal Budget Line is executed.
Last week the pen and cell phone of Sock Puppet JoeBama Biden were used to extend the COVID emergency, for multiple reasons. Among the reasons was to dump MORE Money into the COVID Relief Budget Line.
Think on ALL the States and Municipalities who have been “accused” of diverting FEDERAL COVID Relief aid to unrelated “emergencies” and “projects”. By the way that diversion was LEGAL per the Congressional Instructions sent with the State Grant.

This excuse sounds like talking out of both sides of your mouth. The result seems exactly the same.
Raise the debt ceiling, and spend the money, you know they will. Monthly interest payment goes up as a result of a higher balance and it becomes unaffordable.
Or, fix the debt where it is at, maybe default (doge may fix the spending problem) and hold the line. Just like every household in USA. The risk of default is a good incentive to stop the spending.
It is common sense folks, everything we are hearing is smoke and mirrors.

I have a question about the 38 no votes from late yesterday.
I see 10 names in there who are probably in the Nancy Mace camp (Freedom Caucus guys).
Nancy said yesterday that the second “slim” bill spent all the same money as the porkulus one. She said it just didn’t include naming and assigning that money to the 1500 pet projects the Dims (+McConnell & Johnson) intended to spend it on. That included the prime censorship agency, and attempts to hide J6 from investigation, as well as the pay raise and all the other abominations.
So it seems to me the 10 voted no as a protest, because of the 2/3 requirement (knowing the vote wouldn’t count).
My question is – did the “law firm” of McConnell, Johnson, Jeffries and Schumer somehow think they were getting a chance to nail that money to their pet projects during the next 30 days before PDJT and the new Congress was in?
I don’t understand how they could make that happen with the slim CR.
And isn’t that why PDJT wanted it, because he’d get to decide how to spend it (tax cuts for tips etc)?
But because of the 2/3 thing he wouldn’t get it anyway? He also wouldn’t get what he wanted with the debt ceiling (yet). But he registered his own requirement clearly.

My view of the budget seems to be different from most people here.
Why do farmers need help, and which farmers is it? Is it the Saudi Arabia farmers growing alfalfa in Arizona to send to Saudi Arabia to feed their horses? Or maybe it is the Bill Gates farmers needing money to let their land lay dormant. Perhaps it is the Sam Donaldson farmers needing to be paid because there is not a market for their Angora goat wool.
Why does fema need money? They have been getting appropriations in the crs and have been spending it on supporting illegals. If you deport the illegals, fema has money.
The government budget ends in September. The first quarter of the 2025 budget has already been appropriated through crs.
The government gets most of its income from Jan-April. Pass a balanced budget and no debt ceiling raise is necessary.
The government income receipts for 2024 were 4.92 T.
The government spent 6.75 T.
The government deficit was 1.83 T.
Elon Musk said he would cut 2T. That is more than enough to balance the budget.
Elon and President Trump need to do what they said they would do or they should be considered nothing but more scammers.

This estimate was determined by comparing individuals registered in the voter rolls that were born outside the US with the number of Californian’s who legitimately gained US citizenship. The number of foreign born voters registered in recent years far exceeds the number of naturalized citizens. The cause of this difference is that in California, individuals who apply for drivers licenses are automatically added to the voter rolls (Motor Voter). Many of these individuals are not US citizens. This and the barriers to verifying citizenship have led to millions on the voter rolls who aren’t US citizens.
“I am pleased to continue the transparency of data relating to California’s elections by releasing the Nov. 5, 2024, Statement of Vote,” Weber said in a news release. “This data demonstrates how every vote matters.”
Weber has not been transparent – what she might mean is “every illegal vote matters”.

US tells Syrian rebel leader it will not pursue $10mn bounty
US diplomats have told Hayat Tahrir al-Sham leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani that a $10mn bounty on his head will be removed, in an initial sign of engagement with the Islamist rebels who toppled Syria’s dictator Bashar al-Assad.
Barbara Leaf, the state department’s senior Middle East official, said she met Jolani on Friday and informed him that the US would not pursue the bounty after he agreed on “the critical need to ensure terrorist groups cannot pose a threat inside of Syria or externally, including to the US and our partners in the region”.
Jolani now goes by his birth name Ahmed al-Sharaa and he stressed his desire to see Syria begin an economic recovery process, Leaf said. She described the meeting as “positive”.
HTS remains a designated terrorist group by the US.

Fiscal conservatives need to get it through their heads that the time at which we are going to deal with the fiscal insanity is tomorrow and it will always be tomorrow.
