So many people have seemingly forgotten that Mitt Romney was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee. He was crushed by Barack Obama despite record turnout by republican voters who held their nose, yet again, one last time and voted for the last of the GOP ‘next in line’ crew.
As he exits a career in politics, Mitt Romney reflects upon his professional legacy of ‘lightly held stances’ and expert level graciousness in losing; he’s had lots of practice. As Mitt Romney concedes the Republican party to the MAGA movement, this is somewhat of a reflective moment. WATCH:
.

He acknowledges that the Republican Party is now a MAGA party. But, sadly, he has not changed his opinions about MAGA, nor have far too many of the elected Republicans in Washington DC, including that McConnell bloc of about 20 Republican senators, and about 175 Republican House members.
Let them eat cake and join the Democrats!
Agree. It’s not like Romney and his ilk will have a lot of company, regardless of which end of the bell curve they choose to occupy.
Loser Liz, for a moment, envisioned her imaginary pathway back to life in a Heels Up administration.
They will and it will be a problem, unless some binders start getting cracked.
They already have
Every single RINO is on the take. The taxpayer slush fund, the backdoor benefits, the share of the spoils.
Not a single one gives a fig about the destruction of the nation.
As a Utahn, I must compliment Sundance on the meme. Best Romney meme ever! replacing my favorite Romney meme of “Pierre Delecto Stirikes Again”. I sent more strongly worded emails to him than all of my other representatives combined even counting the praising emails. His responses were always ridiculous. Unfortunately we chose a replacement who is likely to be much of the same, emphasizing how much primaries count.
Evolution in motion. We have witnessed a RINO transform into a dinosaur, and quietly go extinct.
Well……Bye, Pierre.
Burn in hell, Mittens, you POS.
…to put it delicately.
His son had his mittens in Ukraine– just like Biden and others.
The D C Crime families.
They belong in jail.
NO, let’s not go that far.
Mormons have a different belief in the afterlife. People really should understand what the Mormon faith believes –the sit on 100 Billion and are the largest private landowner in Florida –as well as owning millions of acres in the US. https://thecripplegate.com/why-you-cant-get-to-heaven-through-the-mormon-faith
If every person who could afford it…bought one acre…or a half acre…
Better for them to own it than Bill Gates
Your take on “Mormons” in general is bigoted for sure. That said, you should understand that most Mormons regard Mitt Romney as a traitor to the faith and to the USA.
But they still voted for the scumbag, didn’t they?
Don’t they believe that they go to a place called Kolob where the men are assigned a planet over which to rule as a god? Its complete science fiction.
That’s a wild and amusing speculation! But no, there is no such belief in Mormon doctrine.
Are you sure about that? have you studied Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon? https://faithalone.org/blog/the-mormon-view-of-heaven
Yes, I’m sure. I’m a life-long member and scholar. Would you like our missionaries to visit you and clue you in from the original sources? No charge!, heh heh. (:-)
Do you dispute Meadows Mountain Massacre too?
Next they will say Warren Jeffs was innocent.
Kolob explained. https://www.ldsliving.com/3-fascinating-things-every-mormon-should-know-about-kolob/s/82249
Want to hear a joke?
Mitt Romney!
.
Another turd. Good riddance.
I guess I owe Obama a hat tip for keeping both of my most loathed DC snakes out of the WH, including McCain. Not that Obama was better, but he revealed those two as fellow suck ups and decepticons.
Yes.
Don’t forget that he kept Hillary out of the WH until Trump came along to finish her off.
There job was to make O look good and lose. They were perfect at it. Only making O look good, made them not qualified to clean toilets.
The guy just makes my skin crawl….can’t believe I had to vote for him in 2012 (like every other Republican, I had no choice – he flat-out STOLE delegates from Ron Paul in Nevada and many other states).
I couldn’t do it. I voted for Ron Paul.
The Incredibly Shrinking Mitt Romney.
I hope he dies in agony, preferably of ass cancer.
You’re sick.
I was having a discussion with a coworker who is my age and a Trump hater. But she is also reasonable and respectful. In our discussion, she brought up some very true truths…
“Society is angry right now”…and its evidenced in the crime rates and road rage incidents, to start with. Current events…etc…
A lot to influence people…especially those who have been ‘screwed’, the forgotten men and women, by these money grubbing two faced grifters.
N no! I know the vision exactly and I defend the outcry for 1000. Alex. The answer is there there 👁️look harder if you don’t receive the illusion. Hotel California…
Wasn’t this when he thought he’d be SOS?
GTFO
He looks like a man!! 😂
Can’t get rid of that SOB fast enough! It shoulda been a Democrat! Conservative it is NOT! Total waste as a Republican!
He still has that “deer in the headlights” look…
I remember election night 2012. I was on shift at my MAJCOM’s headquarters. A bunch of people were down in the command center watching the results come in. When he conceded nobody said a word, but one of the more senior officers started crying. After the four year run with Obama, everyone just wanted him out of there. The things he did to the military were unforgivable and still impacting us today.
And as our generals were getting fired and “force shaping” cost us hundreds of good mid-career officers, we’d been hearing a lot of rumors about some kind of civil war within the IC, thanks to him. That all makes a lot more sense now. (At the HQ level, you get a lot of insight into what’s happening politically around the DOD, a perspective that I never had access to anywhere other than that job)
In retrospect, thank god Romney lost. We wouldn’t have gotten Trump in 2016 otherwise. Or maybe he would have run as a Democrat
I was so sick of politics in the officer ranks I had to quit after 10 years. There was no COMMON SENSE. Only ridiculous decisions that adversely impacted troops and patients they thought would get them promoted to full bird colonel. Thankfully I was instrumental in stopping one by serving as a punching bag for one crazy homosexual “woman.” I have been greatly opposed to homosexuals in the military ever since. I don’t believe there is an answer.
The things some O-5s will do in order to make O-6 are truly shocking. It depends on career field and job of course but there’s almost nothing worse than a colonel who wants to get promoted. Unfortunately that means all the decent ones retire as O-5s.
Officer politics are insane. Every time one of my airmen asked me about commissioning, I always warned them about what they’d be walking into.
He is pleading for mercy because he just may be concerned that he will be deported to his family compound in Mexico, post haste after 1/20/2025.
Passive aggressive treason is still treason. Romney fits that bill.
Trump is the result of people like Mittens and the rest of the DC Looters.
Think Tea Party (which Mitch McConnell shut down). The Rick Santelli Stock Trading Floor rant exemplified the mood in 2009:
Constitutionalists didn’t understand the Uniparty, or that they were all captured middle-managers; that their handlers were pulling the strings via blackmail. Think Epstein or P-Diddy.
The purpose of the Bush / Clinton / Bush / Obama regimes was to weaken and break up the Republic and make us a vassal state to foreign interests. Hilldawg was supposed to be next in line. They never thought she would lose.
America has been under the control of an occupying power ever since the sniping of JFK Nov 1963 (which country are we not allowed to criticize?). Most of our reps are installed via the RNC / DNC vetting systems and illegal ballot harvesting. Illusion of choice.
Mittens is just a symptom of the bigger problem.
Tea Party ……… some read “Party” as a noun, something to join.
American Patriots read “Party” as a verb ……. as in “action”
Not a party to join but a Constitutional Republic movement that involved grass roots action to retake the federal government from the globalist / communists of the democrat / RINO bipartisan traitors.
Action was initiated in all 50 states to start capturing the state and local offices for Constitutionalists….. replacing the RINOs in the republican party.
Work continued at the local level until President Trump showed up at the federal level in 2015.
As they say, the rest is history.
America’s Constitutional Republic won on 11/5/2024 and the unconstitutional globalists / communist democrat / RINOs lost, big time.
Yawn.
he said they have to be “qualified” ….lmao … did ANY of Bidens cabinet have qualifications other than gay, transgender, cross dressing, thieves, you name it out of the box???? This guy can’t leave fast enough for me. GTFO and don’t ever try to come back you little weasel d***k
Hahahahaahahhahahaa……………………….
Pierre Delecto deserves all the scorn he’ll receive & so much more…
Bye Pierre Delecto, please take the equally useless traitor, Paulie Ryan with you.
OMG. Correcto.
I held my nose for McCain, but by the time Romney came along, I was done holding my nose. I voted Ron Paul. I think I had to write him in, but I’ve written him in so many times for so many offices that I can’t remember if he was actually on the ticket that year.
If the American people knew the “real John McCain”they would puke. What tops it for me is that Sob had 3 funerals.
Thank you Budweiser brewery.
I certainly know that now. And I think I may have had an inkling at the time. I definitely didn’t want to vote for him but my husband convinced me that the Supreme Court was too important. And so I held my nose. But there was no way I was doing that again, so when Mittens got on the ballot, I could not be moved.
Lightly shoed loafers, more likely.
If people knew just how despicable Romney, is as evidenced by his corporate raid of Warner Music Group through his Bain Capital with Ed Bronfman Jr resulting in the slash and burn, fire everyone, sell the furniture, cut the roster, economics of… Never mind…
He would be despised!
Oh, wait!
Good Riddance mittens.
Many don’t know Romney was a leader in the private equity industry that raped every business it took over, and that he is the single most responsible governor for the disaster of Obamacare. Otoh, we should thank him and McCain for gifting us with Trump.
Is he off to Mexico to marry a cousin or three?
Per CNN “Romney reflects on his career in public service”. That single statement encapsulates the major problem that we have regarding the continued adherence to the Constitutional governance of our Constitutional Republic. A successful career and public service with respect to elected/appointed officials are not mutually inclusive. Intents, motivations, actions, etc., are very different when viewing career versus “service”objectives as the former is a life long versus a short term time line and purpose. This of course points to and necessitates strict term limits and specific boundaries on perks/pay for elected/appointed officials. Note in many instances career has been shown to be synonymous with corrupt.
If Mitt Romney took a dump, the toilet bowl result would be Mike Pence.
His lightly held stances don’t include MAGA.
He whimpers petulantly as he’s circling the political sewage drain as a failed presidential candidate, sore loser, and backstabber extraordinaire. A sad, predictable end to a lackluster career as a mewling establishment toady.
I know you aren’t going to be voting on these nominees Mitt. You also are not going to be a nominee in Trump’s cabinet.
Mitt Nobody.
What a disgrace. And as MAGA grows and the GOP fades away…and not a bit too soon….. Mitt will be able to look back and easily see what a fricking bafoon he was! Nothing but a stooge for the demonrat party……maybe he did tie that dog on top the car! He is a butthead!
Nary a callous on those always-manicured hands, with cuticles tended to the hilt; so very white of tooth – Milquetoast Mittens Romney!
Mittens mentions that the Trump candidates for cabinet positions should be examined by the Senate. Biden’s weren’t. The GOP normally rubber stamps Dem picks and did that with Biden’s diversity picks. No big fuss was made-their hatred for the loss of their “business as usual” govt. is no surprise at all. I wonder if the Whig party took this long to end.
I still get bloody noses from having held mine so tight back then.
Mitt, who?
Conciliatory, as one might expect. Still can’t stomach the man.
The good news is that’s the first and last time I’ll ever hear Romney speak for eight minutes.
Some people are just intrinsically smug.
He did next to nothing for the country, while enjoying high office. That is his legacy.
“Trump has made it clear he wants to go after his political opponents” – Jake Tapper lawsuit in 5…4….3….2….1!
I’ll have to listen to this later. I can’t listen to it so soon after Mike Waltz and then The Burn (Sanders).
Doofus. One term Senator thinks he’s somebody.
FILTHY LIBERAL
Go pick up dogshit and clap. We Don’t Care about you, MITTENS. FILTHY
LIBERAL
Can’t watch or listen to this fake person. Never voted for him and never will. He is everything I despise in a person/man/politician.
Adios, Pierre Delicto, your chosen moniker a clear insight into your mind – Latin, in pari delicto, meaning, equally at fault (or equally guilty). Good riddance – should have happened years ago.
The Spoiled Child.
Spoiler.
Such a nice man /s
Mitt. You blew it. Like so many before you. You blew it. Go home take care of your wife and fade away. Would be the best thing you could do for this country
Just what is a traditional cabinet member, Jake?
And with that, CTH becomes a subsidiary of the Bee. Wink.
Like most Rinos they can only muster the slightest level of aggression against the grass roots and true conservatives in their own party.
And he looks, talks, and looks so presidential to most of the RINO’s they say.
Romney is still looking for “his thingy” to hold on to…let alone something “lightly” policy related.
In my humble opinion 2012 was the first stolen election. I’m from oblowme’s adopted home county. Cook county, Illinois and have been an independent voter for nearly 7 decades.
After the 2010 mid-term @ss whipping he took, thanks to the Tea Party and the likes of Heroes like Cathy Engelbrecht, campaign manager David Axelrod made sure “the steal” was on, going so far as to “guarantee oblowme would win or he’d shave off his famous mustache” on Bill O’Reilly’s show.
That was the night I knew that petulant little pissant would definitely win.
Up until then I had never seen early voting lines wrapped around the buildings in my NW suburban Democrat enclaves, lined up to vote for Romney.
When I asked the proctor inside about it, he stated never in his 30 years has he seen lines like these. He also said they had to triple the amounts of voting booths.
In my opinion as well. Had not that steal happened as easily as it did we may have not gotten The Best President Ever. It caused the crooks to misunderstand the next election.
It also caused them to over react in 2020 and pause counting for three hours while they rounded up more ballots in a never before seen or done manner, to the tune of 81 million votes for a guy that campaigned from his basement.
I now think all of these things had God’s hand on them, as much as directing President Trump’s head turn at just the right moment.
Had they not stolen 2020 they would now be done with a guy they had pretty much boxed in, to a certain amount.
Instead, here we are, on the eve of a potential “Great Awakening”.
💯
I’d say there’s good evidence the 1960 election was stolen and I’ve come around to the belief the 2000 election likely was as well, just in terms of false voting manipulation. I suspect 2012 was the first industrial-scale stolen election, when multiple states were flipped in serious numbers.
I hope the Deep State realizes Trump likely doesn’t enter politics if they hadn’t manipulated 2012 for Obama. They could have continued the UniParty charade for another generation if they had installed Romney. But they had to save their lightbringer and his reputation. I bet they privately regret stealing the 2012 election.
I agree.
I was kinda young in 1960, but do believe that was stolen through Chicago (Mayor Daley) and Texas (LBJ).
It is an admitted fact by those in both camps who looked at the counts, that Nixon won the ’60 election. Nixon wanted to be gracious, and ceded rather than fighting. Even history says Nixon won, and we all know who writes history.
It was 2008 that weaponized tech stole an election, and they did so nationwide.
Elections at all levels have been stolen since long before 2012.
Cheating has been rampant in Philadelphia as long as anyone can remember.
Also, my Irish Catholic, Kennedy worshipping mother shocked me a few months ago when I said the 1960 election was stolen. She nodded and responded, “Chicago?” These days, Mom’s eyes are wide open and she hasn’t voted for a Democrat in years, but she pretty clearly knew about the steal at the time.
100% Agree.
The 2012 “longest voting lines in history” produced a lower vote count for Obama than his 2008 count – because – those long lines were Romney voters (my usual 5-15-minute wait was 2 hours in 2012 !!!
Obama’s 2012 Rallies were as empty as Biden’s 2020 Rallies … the CIA Hammer&Scorecard vote-flip&disappear Computer Program was used to steal Florida from Romney for Obama.
The RNC, GOP & Pierre Delecto cowards knew … said nothing … a stolen election was better then being called a racist.
IDK about stolen, but who remembers the “White House Insider”? He was a source allegedly within or close to the Obama White House in O’s first term who’d send messages through a blogger – forget the name or the website now – about the inner workings of O’s WH. O was alleged to be a fundamentally lazy POTUS who’d spend more time watching Sportscenter in the evenings in the residence than he would paying attention to briefings, and mused about not bothering to run for a second term but was ultimately talked into it, although I forget by whom. You could read between the lines of O’s public persona and see the very traits that WHI was describing; for example O was always excited to make his NCAA tournament picks every season, often the most excited you’d see him any given year.
Anyway WHI was fairly sure Romney was going to win. Internal polling looked good for Romney, clearly more ground enthusiasm for Romney’s rallies than O’s. Blah blah blah. Romney even made a point of holding his final rally in New Hampshire, a state nobody would think a Republican would have business competing in (despite the state motto, NH is pretty thoroughly blue at the federal level). Romney also infamously never wrote a concession speech for election night, so sure was he that victory was in his grasp.
And then of course O won, and WHI was discredited, and there was a little ‘post mortem’ between the blogger and WHI, where WHI was confronted with an angle he hadn’t previously considered – that the polls he’d been seeing were bought, deliberately constructed false information to deceive WHI and perhaps even Romney himself about the true state of the race (“…They bought the polls?” “What did you say you needed to run a campaign?!” “Data .. accurate data.” That part of the exchange stuck with me for whatever reason).
Some commenters on the blog had pieced together whom they believed WHI to be, but never revealed him. His quotes were always presented in a James Carville like voice.
I remember those reports about Obama staying holed up in the private quarters in the White House watching TV while ValJar ran the country. And I also think 2012 election was stolen because white people were aware of what Obama was and what he was and wasn’t doing.
There’s evidence that 1844 was the first stolen election. Stronger evidence that 1888 was stolen, then of course 1960 in our life-times.
I struggle to not point out the failures of independent voting, but having worked in party politics starting in the 1960 election handing out AuH2O pencils and notepads with my Father who was a Precinct Leader, I’ve seen politics work and fail from deep in the bowels of a party.
When you vote for a person rather than a party, you likely hamstring the winner because they are not cannot be effective without the support of the Congressmen and Senators of his party. Had Ross Perot won, he would have had zero support from either party’s leadership.
Back in 2010, Mike Rosen, a conservative talk show host in Denver wrote an excellent Denver Post article titled “Party Trumps Person“. I wish every voter who votes for the person could read it as Mike does a great job of explaining why you can only make a difference if you vote along party lines.
