Watched the whole thing. No real revelations. I guess the most important thing he said was that there is no reason for a drone to be out at night unless it’s “sniffin” for something, e.g. someone lost in the woods. Other than that, no idea what the drones are about.

If you truly want to MAGA, and return the US to a production economy vs a service economy, then you must change the mindset and attitudes in the corp suites. Unless you do this, regardless of all else, you will fail.
The classic, legendary American companies of yesteryear were ALL run with a mgmt focus that made the customer #1 and the employees #2 (See: Herb Kelleher and Southwest Airlines). Executives were no different from employees because they were paid salaries and paid annual taxes on those salaries, same as the janitor did.
Guess who that focus left out? The investor class. Read: the fund managers.
So what happened? See: the movie “Wall Street” & “greed is good”.
Wall Street (the fund managers….ie. Blackrock et al) didn’t “own” the corporations and the executive suites didn’t dance to the fund managers tune. So what did the Gordon Gehkos of Wall Street do?
They realized that their fund held the majority of the shares outstanding in the corporations, and as such, they could place who they wanted onto the board of directors of those companies. Then, having done that, they CHANGED EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION FROM SALARIES TO STOCK AND STOCK OPTIONS IN THE COMPANY….making the executives shareholders with equity stakes in the corporation, instead of salaried employees.
This had the ruinous effect of radically changing the focus of executives suites across America. No longer were customers #1 and employees #2…..#1 became EARNINGS and #2 became SHARE PRICE.
So, what is the simple but necessary MAGA solution?
A: CONGRESS MUST PASS FEDERAL LAW MAKING IT ILLEGAL FOR CORPORATIONS TO REMUNERATE EXECUTIVES WITH STOCK AND STOCK OPTIONS AND INSTEAD MANDATE THEY BE PAID MONETARILY BY SALARY ALONE. The same as everyone else. If those executives want to then buy stcok with their earnings, they can do so, the same as everyone else. But they shouldn’t be allowed to be compensated with equity!!
This will reverse the disastrous change in executive mindset and attitude Wall Street fund managers manipulated into the C-suites across America…which played a big role in turning the Iron Belt into the Rust Belt……and remove much of the influence and power Wall Street has over same.
Yes, sometimes complex problems do have elegant and simple solutions. This is one of them.
Change the C-suite focus back to customers and employees…..the profits will take care of themselves, just as they did back in our grandparents day.

Another, similar issue is they quietly changed laws regarding Corporate Governance.
Used to say the CEO and Board had to make all decisions based on improving the return on investment for share holders, or else they could be held liable BY those shareholders.
But in the last 10 years (I remember reading about it ) they changed the law, to say that society is also a shareholder, and so decisions could be made, that would cost the shareholder some return on investment,IF they benefited society, the earth, etc.
This paved the way for the DEI, and GND b.s. prograns being promoted within corporations; no, shareholders in Bud Light probably can’t sue.
At it core, govt is nothing more or less than a mechanism to incentivize or disincentivize societal behavior.
And yes, outlawing compensation in the form of equity to employees of a company….to include both the board as well as the c-suite….is entirely Constitutional.

It is one thing for there to be laws against fraud, or some standards of safety (and our laws and regulations already cross the line too often), but it’s quite another to tell a private company how it may or may not compensate its directors or executives.

And thats generallybthe criterion for a “privately owned” vs “publically owned” company, I believe.
And, once they “go public” there are all sorts of regulations they have to follow, reporting requirements, etc. most of which were justified initially as protecting the public, as potential investors.

Thats more about protecting society, than protecting the investing public.
Is it Dutch? What positive and negative effects upon the value of the company and the ROI of the investor does the use of stock options result in?
example: How are those options “created” – does it consist of the company paying the difference between the actual stock price and the options price at the time of exercise? Or instead does it result from the issuance of new stock? The first method would simply be another form of salary – i.e. a payment. The latter would result in the dilution of the existing shares – thus harming the investor.
Should be “thus causing immediate harm to the investor.” (excessive compensation also has an effect in the extreme cases)

There is a semi-easy way to fix the issue of fund influence upon companies.
Eliminate the ability of anyone but the shareholders to vote for policies and policy changes – then in the case of mutual funds and other financial instruments that are not direct shares, the shareholder being defined as the owner of the financial instrument, NOT the company that manages it.
Blackrock, State Street, Vanguard, et al become relatively toothless with a single, simply written law to protect the investor.
Addendum – pension funds. Vote goes to the workers (both current and already drawing a pension) by proportion.

Is that practicably doable? Not so sure. The individuals/entities who invest in mutual funds own a piece of the fund, which in turn constantly is investing and reinvesting in various other things. In addition, it’s not just voting but stock price that’s affected by their ownership.
I got mostly slammed here yesterday by advocating for transparent disclosure of shareholders/owners — which would apply to mutual funds — and enable laws restricting foreign ownership in various assets. This could be one step.
Another might be forbidding corporate pension plans from investing in any mutual fund or similar that is a stockholder of that corporation, as a conflict of interest. This is where your three giants glom a lot of investors. (Not sure what could be done with government and union pension plans.)
Another might be restricting mutual funds from investing in other mutual funds, and/or exploring use of the laws against monopolies to cut down on these companies’ power — and/or just restricting them from having voting rights at all, or directly or indirectly owning more than a small percentage of any publicly-traded company (the latter could have some negative effect initially on the stock market, so I’m unsure about it.)
This is a huge problem, and solutions would have to be rolled out slowly.

IMO, think it is. Ownership only matters at the time of record for a proxy vote. Fractional shares are accounted for (for example, when owning a stock that pays dividends and said dividends are re-invested causing fractional share ownership).
It’s no different than when the company of a fund under management votes the shares.

So perhaps THATS the way to go; tax CEO’s/Board members at a different rate if their compensation is stock options, rather than cash?
In some cases they aren’t taxed at all, in some they are taxed at capital gains rates (much lower), and some at income rates (higher). The simple correction would be that all were taxed as income based upon the exercise price or stock price upon vestment. Don’t see a good, valid reason to tax them higher than income (since if they was direct $ income, they could then proceed to invest it in stock).

Theres some things thatcwe’re not seeing, regarding the whole nominations process.
For one thing, some have qurstioned “why Ron?” at the army/navy game.
And, have further pointed out that perhaps RON! could mess up PDJT, for instance in who RON! picks to replace Rubio,..
I can’t pointvto anything,no “data points” like Sundance, but I get the feeling PDJT has resolved any issues with RON!, ….whether PDJT “has something” on DeSantis, or perhaps DeSantis is p.o.’d at the Sea Island group, that promised him it was “in the bag” and so set him up for humiliation,..or perhaps DeSantis has licked a finger,stuck it out into the political winds, and realised it is blowing due MAGA, and if he wants any kind of career in politics he better get with the program, but I think he is no threat to PDJT at all.
The whole thing with Gaetz, now seems like a feint, particularly the way PDJT ‘caved’ on the MG nomination with very little fight, and yet appears to be prepared to go to the mattrresses, and bitter end for Hagseth.
Was Gaetz just testing the waters?
My opinion is the RINOS that will be the detirming votes on all of these nominations, do not want to have to vote no.
Hence, the efforts to destroy the nominees with personal attacks, before we even get to the hearings.
Just as with Watergate (and as they hoped to repeat with Russia, Russia) the Senators never actually HAD to vote to impeach, they just said (and would have, again) that they HAD ENOUGH REPUBLICAN votes to convict, and so Nixon did (and they hoped PDJT WOULD) resign.
In both situations, impeachment or voting down PDJT’s nominations, they hope to manipulate Public Opinion enough so they don’t have to actually go on record and expose themselves.
And, I think the counter to that, isvto FORCE THEM TO, in a game of chicken they will back down.
Recall Kavanaugh? They visciously attacked him both before and during the hearings, to try his case in the Court of Public Opinion, hoping PDJT would withdraw the nominatiin,…but he didn’t and so in the end, they voted yes.
I think PDJT may have figured this out, and MG was his one, sacrificial lamb, and he is NOT going to withdraw, not ib Hagseth, or Jr. or Gabbard.
If he FORCES the RINOS to go on the record, I think they will blink, …
and, if they don’t blink, and go on record voting down one of his nominees, thats STILL a win for PDJT.
So, in “game theory” PDJT has no reason to withdraw, he wins if they blink, and he still wins if they vote down his nominee.

I’m lousy at understanding chess, but hear me out. It strikes me that after MG stood down, it gradually and in some ways magically became much more probable that PDJT’s other appointments would make it through the confirmation process. Even Hegseth appears to be surviving the dirty tricks. Now, I’ve always thought Gaetz had the best brain of them all, and he’s never been shy about discussing the games politicians play on capitol hill. I enjoy imagining he’s built dossiers on all those who will be passing judgment on Trump’s nominees, and he spent HIS time with the senators showing them what he had on them, and how he might use it, should they try to take out his fellow nominees. He showed them their dirt and offered to pull himself out of the game and keep his dossiers to himself in exchange for clear sailing for the others. Nobody knows for sure, but one thing I’ve learned about President Trump is, he’s a fast learner. I was going talking about when I first got hired almost 30 years ago at work, and my pay. Start pay now is twice that plus $2. We ran it through some online inflation calculator and it’s exactly the same. We all thought we were getting ahead, what a joke on us. Also when I started insurance was free unless you wanted a gold or silver plan. The basic was better than we pay for now. Also we had a pension, which was dissolved during a “bankruptcy” that cut pay in half.
now we see more millionaires and billionaires than ever, CEO’s with huge bonuses. Money flows to all places except the common foundation of America, there it is eroded to pay for the rich. “Last night, the runways at Stewart Airfield were shut down for approximately one hour due to drone activity in the airspace. This has gone too far.
“In mid-November, I directed the New York State Intelligence Center to actively investigate drone sightings and coordinate with federal law enforcement to address this issue, and those efforts are ongoing. But in order to allow state law enforcement to work on this issue, I am now calling on Congress to pass the Counter-UAS Authority Security, Safety, and Reauthorization Act. This bill would reform legal authorities to counter-UAS and strengthen the FAA’s oversight of drones, and would extend counter-UAS activities to select state and local law enforcement agencies.

Note on Major Drone Makers: Northrop, Boeing, Lockheed and other smaller companies have their major DRONE development operations located in the NY, NJ, Md, PA and VA area. The corresponding US Navy facilities are located in VA and the USAF Development Command is a short flight away at Wright Patterson Airbase in OH outside Columbus.
I still have not given up on something parked off-shore owned by “somebody” because DRONES launched and operating as in real live combat from ships has been around since the Navy DASH Projects of the 1970-80’s.

O’Keefe entered the office of Tom McCool, the Federal Coordinating Officer overseeing FEMA’s disaster response, where McCool welcomed O’Keefe and the OMG team inside, but instead of discussing FEMA’s recovery efforts, he asked where O’Keefe was “from,” revealed he had recently been in “Fort Dix,” and inquired, “which exit” O’Keefe lived off of. Security, becoming suspicious, then ushered O’Keefe and OMG journalists into a separate room, where they were met by Patricia Lea Crager, FEMA’s External Affairs Director.
Our OMG Journalist proceeded to ask Crager, “Why aren’t these people out in the field helping? Instead of being in offices, I thought they were out in the community helping.” Crager responded, “We’re not playing games. I’m not doing an interview,” and declined to answer any questions about FEMA’s disaster relief efforts.
OMG were then met with the FEMA Public Affairs specialist Nicole Wilson, the 2001: A Space Odyssey, “HAL”robot-like entity, who O’Keefe previously spoke to on the phone. Wilson stated, “As of today, we’ve got about $247 million in the hands of North Carolina survivors,” and added, “That’s about 135,000 households that have received that assistance.” When O’Keefe pressed for more information, he was handed more business cards and told to email individuals for answers, despite being in-person with FEMA executives.
To understand how O’Keefe and OMG were able to easily access FEMA’s offices, O’Keefe called Joe Sordi, the CEO of Strategic Security Corporation. Sordi, hesitant to speak, said, “You’d have to send your media inquiry over and then we can get back to you,” and asked, “Are you a YouTube journalist or are you a real accredited journalist from an actual accredited institution,” emphasizing that he only wanted to converse with media outlets of notoriety. OMG emailed Sordi with media credentials and our inquiry, as requested, but have yet to receive a response.

Redundant agencies create inefficiency. Countless federal agencies cover the same “turf” which creates confusion (e.g. SEC/CFTC), many of them regulate activities that are *already regulated* by states (e.g. Nuclear Regulatory Commission), while others still take money from states only to give it back to states (e.g. Dept of Education). This is nonsensical. Restructuring isn’t an option, it’s a necessity.

Even a person sitting in the US Talking to a Foreign representative off-shore or in the US has to have a LICENSE to do so. A Bank and Financial Institution needs licenses and permits to operate OFF-SHORE.
Now here is a neat kicker … to TRAVEL off-shore to do business … A VISA is needed as well as a license and the US State Department Controls those.
