Assuming the government (DHS) can find these innocents, the process to send them home will likely be cold and unfeeling, one-size fits all, per all gov’t undertakings. I believe churches should step up and partner with Homan’s DHS to find these children and provide and care for them until they can be sent home. A half-way holding place awaiting deportation is no place for a traumatized, exploited child.

It was not news to my late hubby and I, as we watched it happen thirty years ago, live and in person, when the Lutheran NGO agencies in Grand Forks, ND/Fargo, ND were bringing them in by the planeload from Somalia and Bosnia, loading up VERY small rural towns with hundreds of these people, dropping them off with pocket loads of cash and all sorts of “free stuff” connections, and then leaving those small towns to figure out how or if they might survive.
By the time the populations of these small towns (many of them farmers whose families had been there since the mid 1880s) figured out they had been had, the NGOs were nowhere in sight, and they were on their own to protect their property and their family members.
Who’s paying the NGOs?
Much of the money they spend flows from the churches in their “districts”. A per-member “dues” is imposed on all of those small Lutheran churches, scattered across the prairie–many of those churches built by the grandparents and greatgrandparents of those who still attend. And they do what the higher-ups in the church administration tell them to do.
For any who might wonder, these are Lutheran churches that used to preach the gospel and think highly of Scripture. Many of them (the ELCA, etc) no longer do either of those things.
So the funds are swept up in the Sunday offerings and remitted to the “district office” on a regular basis, and the NGOs get a large cut of that, in addition to what they receive from the federal government for doing the feds’ dirty work.
That’s at least part of the answer as to who’s paying them.
That part should and needs to dry up quickly as soon as those attendees figure that out.

Well, good for “Hollywood” Adams, he’s destroyed everything he’s put his hands on. He submitted to Trump to save his own, greedy, worthless behind. “Everyone” in NY has been affected monetarily, physically, or mentally, thanks to him and Hochul. They’ve supported the illegals with BILLIONS OF FREE DOLLARS, plus gave them free places to live in 5 Star Hotels, free food, free clothing, free medical, free phones, free everything, while the taxpayers of NY suffer. Now, the state of NY is pretty much bankrupt due to no fault of the taxpayers. Neither Adams or Hochul deserve to be re-elected, and I hope the good people in NY remember that.

If ICE picks up a criminal illegal from a jail cell, they take him and send him home. If ICE has to do some door kicking to apprehend a suspect, every illegal they meet will be going home. That’s what Mayor Adams wants to avoid. Maybe in few years he will switch to Republican.
Adams is much too happy looking at himself in a full length mirror.
The Mayor’s earlier hinting that he may become a Republican could have been a message of his intent. The Dems will maul him for cooperating with Homan and ICE.

Nearly 38,000 Chinese Illegals Still in U.S. Despite Deportation Orders
Nearly 38,000 Chinese illegal aliens remain living across the United States despite having been ordered deported by a federal immigration judge, a new report details.
The figures, obtained and published by Fox News’s Bill Melugin, show several tens of thousands of illegal aliens living in the U.S. from adversarial countries even as federal immigration judges have required the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to deport them.
For instance, some 37,908 Chinese; 2,618 Iranian; 7,760 Pakistani; 1,708 Afghan; and 22,749 Venezuelan illegal aliens are still in the U.S. after having been found to have no legitimate asylum claims and thus ordered deported.
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) said President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have “hamstrung ICE’s ability to detain and remove those here illegally — even those who have been ordered to be removed by immigration judges.”
Similarly, more than 32,000 Haitians, nearly 18,000 Indians, over 38,000 Brazilians, almost 4,000 Mauritanians, and nearly 1,000 Uzbeks are in the U.S. despite final deportation orders.
The figures show that the overwhelming majority of the more than 1.4 million illegal aliens still in the U.S. but ordered deported are from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. Close to a million of these ordered-deported illegal aliens are from these four countries.
None of the 1.4 million illegal aliens are detained by ICE agents as of last month despite thousands of available detention beds, already funded by Congress.
In one such document published by Melugin, ICE officials claim the agency is “unable to provide a list of case-specific reasons why the agency is unable to remove certain noncitizens on the non-detained docket with final orders.”
“It is absolutely critical that Congress fully supports the incoming Trump administration’s efforts to undo this damage and once again enforce our immigration laws and secure our borders,” Green said.
