A small comfort for the family that a suspect in the shooting has been detained by police in PA.

Cancer patients in hospice care…with all their funeral arrangements made ahead of time… don’t get buried that quick.
Hard to believe a relatively young guy…had burial plots purchased…and his remaining loved ones were able to make all the arrangements for his eternal rest that quick.
Some have a tradition to follow… in my family it is within 7 days of death. My Mum was buried 5 days after her death and my Dad (who died in hospice of cancer) was buried in 7 days.
My dad who died of cancer was buried 3 days after he died.
He did not want to be embalmed, and I guess that’s the time-frame for not having to be embalmed.
Some families have several plots together with some yet empty.
Not usual for someone who has passed from an illness to also undergo autopsy; which would create a longer period of time between death and burial.
Also, since the man passed away on a Wednesday, and burial Monday, he most likely also had autopsy so again, a Monday burial not unusual given the circumstances.
Middle Eastern tradition has people buried the same day if possible; so depends on the family tradition.

In many Christian traditions, 3 days after one’s passing is when the burial is done so a Monday burial makes sense.

“Please pray for this place & me. I am really struggling with being here [almost a year behind bars]. It isn’t just that every day I am here is a day I should be home, or the failure of the justice system, or Christmas coming.
It’s also the commissary that is continually out of stock, & the refusal to sell bottled water to us anymore, leaving us with water that gives us rashes & smells like the YMCA pool to drink.
It is the cold showers because something is wrong with the water heater, the broken BUNN hot water heater, which is the only thing we have to “cook” with since they won’t give us microwaves or let us buy irons. I can’t even cook oats for breakfast anymore.
This is on top of the biological male creeps, the lack of worship because I refuse to worship with tr*nsv*stites, the tiny beds with thin mattresses, the underwear that bleeds dye continually, the degradation of having to use toilet paper at chow because they can’t even provide napkins, along with the lack of decent food in decent portions. If you only knew how lacking the food is here.
My mail is improperly copied, so often I can’t read it part of the time, assuming I even get it because I often don’t. On top of living in fear of going to the SHU [solitary confinement] daily for not doing anything SHU worthy, or the fear of an officer coming in my room & destroying the few belongings I have because of something someone in another cell did.

And then when I want to visit with my family for a few minutes they are either tortured by the long drive, with no vending machines or even a pitcher of water at the [visitors] table.
Or a video visit computer that has a high probability of glitching up so badly that there is no visit – just a 25 minute struggle of trying to hear or get a glimpse of my children for a few seconds before it glitches again.
They literally can’t properly take care of us here. And now I have to look forward to more rejected mail (only white envelopes are accepted – never mind that we never get the envelopes anyhow). Soon they won’t let us have books sent in, & they are cutting our phone minutes down in Jan by almost half, leaving me with even less contact with my family. Believe it or not, I could keep going.
I can’t do this anymore. I should not be here. My judge [Royce Lamberth] should have resentenced me & sent me home months ago [after the ridiculous 1512 charge was thrown out by the Supreme Court in June 2024]. I don’t understand why I am stuck in here & am not out on bail pending a resentencing. None of this makes any sense to me anymore. So pray not just for me, but for the hundreds of women enduring hell here at this prison. My attitude is really not good lately & I am struggling.”

A lawfare advocate, Litman excitedly laid out how Trump could be barred from office, declaring that the raid in Mar-a-Lago was the “whole enchilada” in ending Trump’s political career.
Litman went on MSNBC to declare that “this is not a time for balance.”
Those seven words sum up much of what has destroyed American media with millions turning away from the echo chamber created by the Washington Post, L.A. Times, and other publications.
Litman has been one of the most unabashed lawfare warriors.
Even when the Justice Department was seeking to dismiss the Flynn case, Lipman wrote an L.A. Times column advising Judge Emmet Sullivan how to “make trouble” for the administration.
Litman admitted there is “very little leeway to reject the government’s decisions to dismiss charges” but encouraged Sullivan to “accomplish what Congress, multiple inspectors general, and a majority of the electorate have not been able to do — hold the president and his allies accountable for their contemptuous disregard for the rule of law.”
On MSNBC’s Deadline: White House, Litman declared to Nicolle Wallace that Trump’s victory is “an absolute five-alarm fire.”
He called the effort to restore a diversity of viewpoints as little more than an attempt “to curry favor with Trump.” He then added:
“And I just think this is not a time for balance when you have someone who’s not telling the truth on the other side. And it’s a deep responsibility. And instead, I think they cowered and are worried about their personal holdings and just being threatened by Trump. And that’s a really shameful capitulation, I think. So, I just felt I couldn’t be a part of it and had to resign.”
It was a telling moment. Litman appeared on a network that has lost half of its viewership and is fighting for its existence in an effort by NBCUniversal to unload it.
Readers are fleeing to new media after papers like the L.A. Times and the Washington Post literally wrote off half of the country.
Yet, these figures would rather lose their jobs and media platforms than their bias.

Same here. Either one would be great. Not sure if D. Bongino’s media business has anything that might prevent him from taking on the job. He would still be the same and even more effective voice with his precision in judgment and policies; tells it like it is, not like it should be. He’s honest, exact and a team player.

I like Sean Curran for his solid track record; an early voice demanding additional resources be allocated to Trump’s personal detail, which was repeatedly rejected by Kim Cheadle. Curran was the lead advocate for more security resources for Trump — both at Mar-a-Lago and for two years on the campaign trail – an impressive record. He and D Bongino are close too. Pretty sure they confer with each other on what should be revamped for optimum security and job expectations of SS personnel. One on the field the other, the other indirectly getting the process of revamping a politically weaponized body to get back on track to do what is required.
