Forget case-by-case. They should be blanket pardons. Anyone who might have done anything violent has served enough time already, and let’s not forget, they were intentionally provoked by the FIB infiltrators and Capitol police shooting rubber bullets and flash-bangs. Free them all on Day One.

As an aside, Dr Wenstrup recounts the events of the attempted mass shooting in which Steve Scalise was almost killed. Dr Wenstrup tried to convince the J6 committee that the proper framing of the term “insurrection” could be found in what transpired on that softball field.
There were over 160 rounds fired in the gunman’s effort to kill Republican congressmen. Wenstrup said that Steve Scalise had a security detail. If Scalise’s detail had not been there, possibly 20 Republican members of congress and some of their staffers could have been killed, thereby changing the balance of power in congress.
Wenstrup argued that was what an insurrection looked like. Bennie Thompson refused to include the information. The denial was couched in partisan terms.

A truly seismic change in the Middle East appears to be happening very fast. Yesterday US Warthog air-to-ground jets attacked and severely depleted reinforcements which were, at the invitation of the Syrian government, en route to Syria from Iraq. Constant, daily Israeli airstrikes on Syria’s military infrastructure for months have been a major factor in the demoralisation and reduced capacity of the Syrian government’s Syrian Arab Army, which has simply evaporated in Aleppo and Hama.
It is very difficult to see the tide turning in Syria. The Russians now have either to massively reinforce their Syrian bases with ground troops or to evacuate them. Faced with the exigencies of Ukraine, they may do the latter, and it is reported that the Russian navy has already set sail from Tartus.
The speed of collapse of Syria has taken everybody by surprise. If the situation does not stabilise, Damascus could be besieged and ISIS back on the hills above the Bekaa valley within a week, given the speed of their advance and the short distances involved.
A renewed Israeli attack on Southern Lebanon to coincide with a Salafist invasion of the Bekaa Valley would then seem inevitable, as the Israelis would obviously wish their border with their new Taliban-style Greater Syrian neighbour to be as far North as possible. It could be a race for Beirut, unless the Americans have already organised who gets it.
It is no coincidence that the attack on Syria started the day of the Lebanon/Israel ceasefire. The jihadist forces do not want to be seen to be fighting alongside Israel, even though they are fighting forces which have been relentlessly bombed by Israel, and in the case of Hezbollah are exhausted from fighting Israel.

Right now, there is a renewed push to take a large swath of land in NE Texas to construct the Marvin Nichols reservoir in order to provide water to the DFW area. More property would be seized to meet the mitigation requirements. A lot of that land has been owned by generations of the same families.
At the same time, interested parties on the Sabine River have tried to convince the water board to turn their sights toward using water from their river. There is already a dam in place. The area experienced flooding a few years ago when there had to be an emergency water release from that dam.
These data centers present problems with water usage. AI can make it exponentially worse.

Quite a bit of controversy has been generated by those who assert that the Pfizer contract issued by the DoD for the Bio N Tech mRNA COVID “vaccines” proves that the DoD was the managing agency for the development of this product. The phrase “Pfizer did not commit fraud, but rather delivered the fraud that the US Government ordered” certainly has more than a grain of truth. In contrast, my understanding and analysis indicates that the leading proponents of the theory that this contract proves that DoD was the agency that managed operation warp speed appear to not have a full appreciation of the nuances, and have overstated the implications. The purpose of this essay is to help the general public to gain more insight into the back story of this non-Federal Acquisition Regulations contract, which employed a non-traditional federal contracting vehicle known as an “Other Transactional Authority” contract.
If you really want to understand how the sausage gets made within the US Government with these big programs, I hope you will stick through this essay to the end.
Those who have followed me closely may recall that over two years ago I was the first to disclose that a different branch of DTRA, the Threat Mitigation Branch (based on Fort Belvoir, VA), was a major funder of the Chinese CCP/PLA Wuhan Institute of Virology, and so shared responsibility with NIH/NIAID for the funding which lead to the eventual release of SARS-CoV-2 into the world. The DTRA/Threat Mitigation Branch funding was provided in the context of the DTRA/TMB “International Cooperation” activities, which are focused on cooperative threat reduction. DTRA CB chain of command is separate from DTRA/TMB at the level I was interacting with them, and I had no knowledge of the WIV funding until I started asking questions of DTRA GS employees that I knew when it became clear that there had been USG funding of the WIV.

The next big challenge is to get people off of the drugs they are hooked on. And that means…that means…putting health care insurers and drug rehab centers on a very short leash and provide services that are effective in overcoming the ‘push’ within the addict’s brain…to overcome the addiction once and for all….instead of blaming the addict for their recidivism. From what I have seen in my job, the services provided do the least for the most (utilitarian theory) and are not effective.
These drugs are extremely powerful in their addictive capability…and that quality is what provides for the ‘market’ of said drugs.

my comment – The explanation was kind of complicated but it does say there is a 6/5 split in the circuit courts and I find that question “if all contract rights are property” could have some long term down the road effects for anyone who signs a contract for anything such as house painting or repairs. my comment – in reading the explanation it looks like the govt is trying to stiff payment to those called up during a national emergency (such as National Guard people) where the law said the govt would make up the difference in pay from the person’s regular job and what the govt usually pays them and are trying to create an excuse to not pay the difference that the law says the dept. has to.
If that’s the case it would follow typical government practice of suddenly getting concerned about spending when it comes to the “little people”

It could be just poor wording.
If the idea of a meeting with Zelensky under cover of attending the ceremony did originate with Macron, that would explain PDJT’s demeanor toward Macron when he arrived. I’m just freewheeling here, but I think Macron may have left a few details out when he issued the invitation, and President Trump found out about it after he had agreed to come and was on his way.

The above article is really about two things, one is that there was a heavy reaction to going into the Notre Dame cathedral in sweats and clodhoppers, and Roger Stone’s criticism of wearing that attire to meet with the POTUS.
The reason I’m posting it is because it represents a change. Zelensky has been travelling the globe in the peasant garb for years now, attending all kinds of formal events, and there hasn’t been so much disapproval.

“subject to the jurisdiction thereof” means people who are not citizens of another country. If you are already a citizen of another country, you can’t be born here and expect to get citizenship.
Further, precedent continues to hold that children of ambassadors, foreign diplomats and their staff are not granted US citizenship. This is a matter of law and policy. In an ordinary legal review, NOTHING which contradicts the US Constitution can pass. And this has passed review. And the reason it passed review is “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.”
It was added there for a reason…. THAT reason.

This section of the Fourteenth Amendment establishes that the former slaves were American citizens., but it also is referring to diplomatic immunity and the privileges that come with that immunity.
The “subject to the jurisdiction” phrase is referring to diplomatic immunity, which was centuries old when this amendment was written.
Anyone in the US is subject to its laws, whether they are tourist, foreign students, green card holders or illegal aliens, except for diplomats.
However, foreigners recognized as diplomats, their families and staff are not subject to the US laws. They can, and have, claimed diplomatic immunity to beat criminal charges. They don’t always get it:

Someone with diplomatic immunity can beat the rap as far as an American prosecution goes, but they are usually expelled from the US within a few days.
The logic here is that if you get the privilege of diplomatic immunity, your American-born children don’t also get the privilege of American citizenship.
If your parents were foreigners in the US, but not diplomats, you get American birthright citizenship if you were born here. US v. Wong Kim Ark (1908). Your parents would become citizens through naturalization.
It appears that by 2026 SCOTUS will have an opportunity to revisit Wing Kim Ark and opine on whether it was wrongly decided. This will be courtesy of POTUS, who will do something (like order a refusal to issue US passports to one of those 200,000 Chinese babies born here as a result of birth tourism, whose mothers were flown in for the sole purpose of creating an anchor baby) that will prompt a legal action by the person denied the passport, thereby solving the issue of standing.
By then, SCOTUS may have a 7 to 2 conservative/originalist majority.
Watch it come down in America’s favor.

You are reading that 100% backward. A foreign diplomat is a subject of another jurisdiction. You must be a subject of THIS jurisdiction and you cannot be if you’re a citizen (subject of another jurisdiction) of another country. Being subject to laws is not US citizenship which is the issue you’re clearly trying to conflate. The US only recognizes multiple citizenship in specific cases — typically when one parent is a US citizen and the other is from another country.
Birthright means “inherited from the parents.” It has never meant “inherited from the land.”
The caselaw you cite is simply unconstitutional case law and needs to be stricken down.

There is a lot of confusion about the meaning of this phrase. It does NOT mean merely “not a foreign diplomat”.
Do tourists have to file U.S. income taxes? Register for the draft? The phrase means: people permanently legally living in the country, i.e. “subjects” of the country. Being the subject of the sovereign was a long-standing concept in 1787.
No law passed by Congress ever declared anchor babies to be citizens. It was State Department custom. This crap can and should be ended immediately by executive order, and then by the Supreme Court (welcome the inevitable lawsuit because a Supreme Court ruling is more enduring than Congressional legislation).
