CNN- Kash Patel, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to run the FBI, was recently informed by the bureau that he had been targeted as part of an Iranian hack, two sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
Hackers are believed to have accessed at least some of Patel’s communications, according to one of the sources.
Trump transition spokesman Alex Pfeiffer declined to comment specifically on the hack in a statement to CNN.
“Kash Patel was a key part of the first Trump administration’s efforts against the terrorist Iranian regime and will implement President Trump’s policies to protect America from adversaries as the FBI Director,” Pfeiffer said in the statement.
Members of Trump’s inner circle have been targeted by foreign hackers in recent months. Last month, the FBI informed Todd Blanche, one of Trump’s lead attorneys and now his pick to be deputy attorney general, that his cellphone was tapped by Chinese hackers, three sources familiar with the matter previously told CNN. The Chinese government has denied US allegations that it is behind that hack.

Secret Service opens fire outside Biden cabinet member’s DC home
The Secret Service fired multiple shots outside the home of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen early Tuesday morning.
Carjackers were trying to break into vehicles near Yellen’s mansion in Northwest Washington, D.C. when a uniformed Secret Service agent discharged their weapon sometime shortly after 1:00 a.m.

“To that I say once again, get your minds out of the gutter,” he wrote. “It is not.”
The issue arose when Willis initially asked the Trump campaign to stop playing “Y.M.C.A.” at rallies, citing feedback from fans who felt uncomfortable with the song being used in a political context.
Trump started using the song at the end of his events during his second presidential bid in 2020, debuting his signature fist-pumping dance move.
After deciding that Trump genuinely enjoyed the track and that its inclusion at rallies had helped boost its popularity, Willis reconsidered his position.
“He’s having a lot of fun with it,” wrote Willis, who supported Kamala Harris’ bid for presidency. “I simply didn’t have the heart to prevent his continued use of my song.”

Congress is trying to pass a huge “lame duck” spending bill that will increase spending and tie President Trump’s hands thru Sept. 30th, 2025. This will basically take away the ability of D.O.G.E. to impact spending for the next 10 months. They need to pass something by December 20th. Tell Congress just to fund the govt thru the end of January so that Trump can make decisions for 2025.

Not sure how this interferes with DOGE, although it is certainly trying to lock in spending ahead of PDJT taking office.
From what I have read, DOGE is going to dig in and identify fraud, waste and abuse (actually what the I.G.’s are SUPPOSED to do!) and once identified, RECCOMEND cuts, etc. to the President.
Its probably going to take ten months, at least before DOGE can come up with detailed reccomendations anyway, and WSJ should “know better”.
