We convinced her to get a second opinion, and took her to a gerontologist. He got her off most of the meds and she perked up and had more energy. She lived almost to her 101st birthday.

The story of the appointment of Janet nesheiwat as surgeon general has not been managed well in my opinion. She is the only appointment on the HHS team which looks problematic in my view.
The nationwide trend toward urgent care centers, like she manages, serves important need for drop-in care when we can’t get in to see our primary care physicians. But we are left wondering about her expertise as a serious physician.
Her credibility is further hurt bc the news media including NYT are showing photos of her in the shapely red party dress instead of a professional white lab coat.
And We are left wondering if Ms nesheiwat was only picked because of her sis’ marriage to mike waltz. And I think the glowing recommendation from waltz looks biased.
And then the news insinuates that RFK jr has not made endorsement of nesheiwat .
She apparently suppported COVI D vaccines and lockdowns on Fox News during the pandemic and then changed her mind later which makes her look opportunistic and political.
And we are left to understand that the surgeon general supervises the public health agencies which. Became so unpopular during the pandemic and there is no mention of her having background or perspective on future of public health.
