Sending the message of the DeceptiCON’s in the United States Senate, Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin proclaims he has not yet decided whether to support the nominees of President Donald Trump.
Mullin appears on Meet The Press with the insufferable Kirsten Welker, a well-known stenographer for the Biden-Harris regime, and while it might be predictable to see the water-carrying on display, it is another thing entirely to see Senator Mullin playing the role of feeding the ‘block Trump’ narrative. Senator Mullin says President Trump has the right to nominate “whoever he wants” but Mullin has the right to “deny whoever he deems.” WATCH:

It does appear that Mullin’s overall perspective is representative of the how the majority of the Republican DeceptiCons view the inbound nominations. This general tone would indicate that pressure from the public could end up making an important difference.

I wouldn’t declare him a RINO just for this one interview. As I wrote in a separate comment, Mullin endorsed Trump way back in February 2023 (when it wasn’t fashionable) and Mullin campaigned for Trump. I’m not aware of any anti-Trump sentiments or actions from this guy.
I loathe all professional politicians. These senate scum only pay attention to voters for a few months every 6 years. No public outcry will do any good. DJT will have to orchestrate the deal.

Pressure from the public? In what form? As much as I hate to say it, perhaps Maxine Waters may have provided us a clue. As a reminder, her advice was to publicly confront and harass officials. She said, “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
These RINOs rarely respond to pressure from constituents. The major exception is if you’re a constituent (or corporation) and consistently write them big checks, or offer them free flights on your private jet. How they can live with themselves in beyond me.

The state of Oklahoma does not have a process for recalling federal senators. Recalling a U.S. Senator is not provided for by the U.S. Constitution, which means states cannot unilaterally enact such provisions for federal officials. The Constitution does provide for the expulsion of members of Congress by a two-thirds vote in the chamber to which they belong, but this is a congressional process, not a state-level recall.
For state and local officials in Oklahoma, recall might be possible under certain municipal charters, but this does not extend to federal officials like Senators. This is reflected in the understanding that there is no mechanism at either the state or federal level for recalling a sitting U.S. Senator from Oklahoma.

The question has been asked, is there a Plan B in case the Senate refuses to confirm President Trump’s choices for high level political appointments?
IMHO, there isn’t a Plan B per se. There is instead one Plan A which embodies the expectation that the Senate will refuse to play ball with some of the more controversial nominations, those which are the most aggressively anti-Swamp. Or even possibly all of the President’s nominations in a ploy to bend President Trump to the Senate’s will.
If this is what happens in January, 2025, I think President Trump will counter this ploy by using a combination of acting managers working in the role of nominee surrogates, plus reams and reams of Executive Orders drafted by the prospective but not confirmed nominees.
And he will do this completely transparently in a way which consciously and deliberately invites hundreds of lawsuits in a Constitutional Battle Royale with the Deep State, the Democrats, and with the GOPe Never Trumpers for control of the DC Swamp.
As a consequence of these lawsuits, and in light of the Senate’s probable refusal to confirm many of his appointments, President Trump will then ask the Supreme Court to render a quick opinion which clearly defines what he can and cannot do with a combination of acting managers and Executive Orders in directing the operations of the Executive Branch while his nominations are before the Senate.
Donald Trump is not one to avoid a fight. His fight with the DC Swampers in the Senate, in the House, and in the Deep State is one which has to be won, and won quickly. The best way to do that is to bring this fight on knowing full well that no progress can be made unless he can use the constitutional authorities granted to him as Chief Executive to get the job done for the people who elected him.

I know for a fact that it was Tennessean’s public outcry directly to the state Republican Party of Tennessee that ran anti-Trumper Bob Corker (R) out of office. These swampy GOP Senators need to hear directly from their constituents but it is even more effective to contact the State GOP offices. Very politely but firmly tell them you expect Senator Mullen to fully support the Republican President’s cabinet appointees. Full stop and you will hold the state GOP accountable for putting weak candidates up for office.
