Rush used to say it all started with banning smoking. I never lit one and hate the smell but if someone wants to no body ought to tell them no. Except inside. The obnoxious smokers were pretty nasty LOL as I write this my brain thought it was the Lefties who were more than likely the obnoxious ones.
I hear you, I grew up in smoke-filled rooms and didn’t know what clean air smelled like until I was living on my own.
I think of some places I avoided, such as bowling alleys, and now it feels like freedom to be able to consider going out bowling, because I wouldn’t have to put up with burning eyes and nose and having to wash my hair when I got home.
I have very mixed feelings about public health measures, because I really have benefitted from smoking bans.
Oddly enough, smokers have always been in the minority but seemed to get treated like the majority when it came to where they could smoke.
Momentary weird thought…tobacco comes from the plantations of the south…as does cotton…and rice…is there a slavery back thought on that? Or a manner to reduce the outward affluence of the plantation owner? Part of the move towards a casual (marxist) America?

I would suggest accurately labelled products that inform the consumer that these questionable chemicals have been used in the production and processing of these products.
The consumer can then make their own informed choice as to whether to consume said product.
That’s not true. There are numerous farms producing large crops using sustainable methods which don’t rely on chemicals for high yields. To push this kind of farming for more production can be done but has faced high resistance from the chemical companies and food industry.
Encourage more farms of moderate size to be established and let them try. Give it a chance or create and provide safer additives to boost production. It most certainly can be done. Each country can help themselves and if they need more food they can buy it from the bigger farming countries who have enough to sell.
I do not buy the story that glyphosate is the only economically viable answer to food production and there’s no other way.

Correct, We can easily feed ourselves in the USA. The rest of the world has many nations that can’t. On the down side, for us, food prices will continue to rise. I don’t want anyone to starve. I want is a world where people thrive. That is going to take a lot of change and it won’t be as easy as simply banning the things that hurt us. But up until now all the decisions about how to grow and distribute food have been made by corporations based on how much money they can make.
We need to look at new ways of doing things so everyone comes out ahead. This presents a whole new world of opportunities for making a profit while also supporting well being. We need to think outside the box and the more we do it the more we all will gain.

Read the farming ladder. Study the economics of a real farm. I moved from Univ of Chicago economics to owning and operating a real farm. Guess what ? The models are wrong and the farmers are right. Small scale farms are much more productive and efficient than industrial large farms.

I would love to trust my current doctors, but both my primary and my liver doctor went along with the whole COVID scam, to the point of forcing their employees to take the jab or lose their job, even though we live in Texas. After that, I really have zero trust in them to provide me advice on my medical care.
Just this past August, one of my blood tests were out of the standard range, so my primary care doctor wanted to increase the dosage on my meds. When I asked about lifestyle changes instead, they literally told me, “You have to go see an endocrinologist for that.”
And I’m thinking, Seriously? You’re my primary care provider and you can’t tell me about lifestyle changes to improve my health? What kinda nonsense is this?!
So if you have any advice on finding the good doctors, CountryDoc, I would really love to hear it!

Country doc how do I find you and become your patient? It’s equally hard to find a good honest country or city doc.
Of note, our CA med center was poised to expect hordes of the public to come in and get their flu, vaccine boosters with the type of snaked-cattle control barricades you see that approach the only TSA checkpoint in an airport. (to accommodate 100s of people) Entire parking areas were blocked off to accommodate the expected incoming “crowds”. This happened to be in front of the building where my office is and I have never seen more than 2-3 people coming in at a time for their shots these entire last few months. It appears despite all the hyping and browbeating done by doctors and others in the healthcare system, the public is no longer buying the BS. I would guess that in CA where leftist indoctrination is at its height, even liberals have seen too many people they know drop dead after getting these vaccines or know someone who is are now having strange terrible medical issues “coincidentally.” This also tells me the CDC no longer has any credibility with the public, even most liberals.
Please keep in mind the doctors in CA can now go up for medical board disciplinary action if they contradict the CDC, thanks to a law put in place by Gavin Newsom and his Democrat Crime Syndicate super-majority.

The CMS database is much more granular than what Ed has had access to, plus Ethical Skeptic has shown they are manipulating the numbers and categories to hide causes of death.
The bottom line is that HHS is a treasure trove of damning data and emails, and most of the top leadership like Fauci have been gone for months, so they are going to have some difficulty ordering the destruction of evidence from the outside.

Interesting. Surely it is plausible, a divided nation is easier to conquer. HOWEVER, one problem with this for them is most on the right do not see the government as god, most on the left are either practical atheists or outright atheists. Government is their god, marxism/socialism/utopianism is their religion. Even when the left was in power, even though I didn’t like it, or their agenda, I knew God was in control, and ultimatley He allowed it for a purpose. I think MANY on the right think that way.
