Heard a nice raga vocal from a female singer on The Five today, break music after first segment
Caught the re-broadcast 7 hours later with my smart phone and Shazam app at the ready
Shazam will listen to a snippet of music and tell you the song and artist. It was singer Asha on “My Shooting Star” from West India Company from 1989, so 35 years ago.
Turns out the music was commissioned by the choreographer for this New York dance troupe La La La Human Steps, and there’s a compelling video clip that was broadcast back then on a late-night show called Mondo Beyondo. I remember seeing it

It was the reason I bought the very first iPhone years ago.
I used to be limited to hours or years trying to figure out which artist performed which song I heard on the radio…
…not to mention that in my busy younger days I frequently never heard more than random few-second snippets. And the radio hosts were sloppy about giving credit.
So the idea that I could identify a song and artist, and then even put it on my phone to listen to repeatedly with reverse and fast forward, blew me away! It was my favorite tech breakthrough ever.
I’ll never forget the first time 15?! years ago on my iphone in the car trying Shazam and being flabbergasted!!
Havent used it since. But Hey! That is some amazing and yet frightening tech!

German astronomer (discovered laws of planetary motion), dies at 58
Biography: A key figure in the 17th century scientific revolution, Johannes Kepler discovered how planets rotated the sun, with elliptical orbits. He formulated three laws, Kepler’s Laws, and published them in works such as his “Astronomia Nova” (1609), “Harmonices Mundi” (1619), and “Epitome of Copernican Astronomy” (1617-21).

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. I can’t get the story to link, but the facility is being shut down after black mold has been discovered there.
Many bodies of dead animals were found in the attic in various states of decomposition and live dogs are being kept covered in feces in horrific conditions.
All the animals not adopted by rescues will be rapidly euthanized.
I am livid about this.
This is how the State Of Florida is really run.
Ron DeSantis made a big deal about the Bull Terrier, Trooper who was tied up in Milton, bringing charges on the POS who did it.
Since the buck stops with Ron! Maybe he should face multiple counts of Felony animal cruelty charges for the way his Administration dropped the ball managing State Agencies. This is symptomatic of New Florida.

I live in Florida. I love it here. Our nickname during the last 4 or more years of crazy (excluding Trump’s first round) has been “the free state of Florida.” Lots can go undetected until someone speaks up, but someone did, and all are saved. I share your angst about it! All other agendas of Trump’s aside, I am remain thoroughly disgusted by Kristi Noem’s excuse for killing her dog “Crystal,” because she was “untrainable”? Translation: the dog did not perform to Noem’s (questionable) method of training. Someone, much like the little boy who received the bulldog puppy, would have loved that dog. Had she said she made a mistake, that would be one thing, but she is still defending it? Describing the dog as happy go lucky, or something like it, there is a problem with this one, I hope it does not effect her judgment in what Trump has selected her to do for us! That’s just my opinion…

Drinking my coffee, eating cheese danish, taking my pills, and reading and posting. In 1/2 hr. it’ll be time to feed the critters.
Lots to do in my new garage. My neighbor Steve had shelves salvaged from a shoe store that I’m adapting for storing the plastic totes that we store stuff in. they’re they type that have the vertical slotted rails that attach to the wall and the shelves hook into the slots so the vertical distance between shelves are adjustable.
Those vertical slotted rails are designed to be screwed into the wall studs to hold the weight. The studs are on 16″ centers. The shelves are 48″ wide. I want to get two sets of shelves into the wall space between the front corner of the garage and the window. Can’t hit the studs if I do that because if I come out to the first stud from the corner to start there won’t be enough wall space to fit two sets between the corner and the window.
I figured out how to get around that yesterday so today I will be gathering the material I’ll need to adapt the system to fit. When it is done each set of shelves will hold 15 totes, so I will have storage for a total of 30 totes on that wall.
What a crock of crap! They’ve censored conservative voices for decades! They would not allow ANY response by those that dispute the human caused climate change to be published while pumping out alarmist propaganda day after day!

I’d like to write a comment to just stop and marvel at the wisdom of God, specifically about how much we really needed the 2020 steal to happen, as bad as it seemed at the time.
Suppose for a moment that PDJT had won in 2020. He had all the wrong people in place, as a result of deep
state treachery and the fact that he was new to how Washington worked. Such a second term would have been hopelessly undermined and would veer off course and fall so far short of what he wanted to do and was capable of doing. We would not have been able to restore the republic.
He wisely didn’t concede! Then he used those four horrible years under Biden to think and study and plan. He thought deeply about his dream team and conferred with many who had also been savaged by lawfare.
I will also add that he wisely did not form a third party. That would have caused him to be edged out. He continued his hostile takeover of the Republican party. He oversaw the realignment of the new party of the working man and the exposure of the Dems as the elites.
Over those four years, people gradually began to understand that 2020 had been stolen. It took time. Then the American people saw how unfairly he was treated, and every attack backfired and boosted his popularity into the stratosphere.
It all had to happen *just*this*way*. God knew what we really needed.
What a far superior place we are in now. So many truly capable people are being brought forward to fight the swamp creatures. There is such clarity and optimism, such brilliant strategy on display. And we had to go exactly this route or we could never have arrived here.
Talk about Art of the Comeback.

In some correspondence with some Aussies through Jo Nova’s message board, flying foxes and other large fruit bat species are considered pests. They carry disease and if they decide to roost in your trees for a night they leave a heck of a mess.
Bat guano is extremely rich fertilizer… and bats are pollinators.
Maybe your Aussie friends don’t know/don’t care how Nature works & thrives.
An awful lot of people are disconnected from Nature by hubristic, egotistical, disdain for the brilliant elegance of the Natural world that God has made.
