The non-pretending reality of the issue is that Jack Smith and the Lawfare attacks were always going to end up in appeal to the Supreme Court, and the high court had already put its opinion on record. The election result provides the DOJ an excuse, a plausible justification to save face.

In the New York City case, watch Judge Merchan defer any sentencing outcome pending the appeals to the higher state court. Those appeals will likely be successful, and the entire issue sitting in front of Merchan becomes a moot point.

I was assigned to read a great book, “Darkness at Noon” by Arthur Koestler, when I took a college English class back in 2004. I found this somewhat fictional book difficult to read, however, I learned the value of totally rejecting Communism. I have in my mind that Jack Smith looks a lot like Lenin.

For anyone who has read that book, the interrogators in Darkness at Noon were not as portrayed to be as bad as the real ones actually were. Robert Conquest, in The Great Terror, recounts how one Russian communist official, Stanislaw Kossior, simply refused to break down and confess no matter what they did to him. He was innocent and refused to admit he had done anything wrong.
The interrogators brought in his 16-year-old daughter, Tamara, and gang-raped her right in front of him in the interrogation room. THEN he broke. Lesson to be learned: communists recognize no laws of G-d or man.

How was the entire case possible? The whole thing is fake so I would think the appeals court would rather rid themselves of this debacle as quickly as possible.
Just getting a dismissal is not enough – Jack Smith, Merrick Garland, et al, must be brought to justice for their coordinated campaign to incarcerate Trump. At a minimum they all need to be disbarred and really all should be in prison for a reasonable stretch – like a minimum of 8 years each. Flip the lawfare around and torment the tormentors to ensure that the Left understands that to breach protocol and twist the laws into pretzels in order to “get” an individual carries a high personal risk of retribution. They all need to be in the solitary wing of the D.C. Jail, I hear that there will be a lot of open cells once the J6 defendants are released.

Judge Cannon found that Jack Smith was not even properly installed as special counsel (only Congress can approve special counsel–not AG without prior confirmation of person appointed) and so threw out Jack Smith classified documents case in Florida .
We the US taxpayers should demand that all monies spent on ALL of these lawless and political legal actions should be reimbursed to We the People. These and partners of these law firms should reimburse the taxpayers for all monies they received from the US government (taxpayers) to wage warfare against Donald Trump, knowing that these were trumped up charges to keep him from running for president and to diminish his wealth. Also, special counsel Robert Mueller and Andrew Weismann should reimburse all monies received from the special investigation of Trump based on the Russia hoax and the Steele Dossier, since they knew from the beginning that these were made up charges. Only when lawyers and these law firms suffer monetarily will they change their ways! We must demand reimbursement!

It’s not enough to just accept that these bogus charges are being dropped. Starting Jan 20, 2025 there needs to be a focus on prosecuting officials with “abuse of power” when applicable. Whenever the DoJ, FBLie OPEN an investigation, they begin to document the reasoning, the probable cause, initial evidence etc, for the case file. The Case File is then posted to the Database, and reviewed by ASAC’s and main Justice, for probability of convictions, value of evidence etc.
Ordinarily, this process is spoken about in conference rooms, phone calls and even video chats, if evidence must be viewed.
The same process is repeated, again, when a case is closed. The information is never destroyed as in many investigations, at the Federal level. The Actors never really change. Informants, come and go as does evidence. What was a Target of a case. more often not, becomes a Confidential Source, a month or a year later. When he is arrested on an unrelated criminal charge.
This 06JAN21 case, along with the Classified Documents case. IMO will never be completely closed out. The DoJ and or the Intel Community, will keep their investigation on-going, no matter what they release to the public. Because, they know damn well, that even if PDJT is not Impeached and removed from office, that he has less than 1460 days, left in office.

I only partially agree that lawfare “is a construct for media consumption intended to manipulate public opinion”. Sure, it is for media consumption. But I believe, they (weissman, et al) also really wanted Trump to go to jail and be killed. Jack Smith was suppose to lock up Trump. Bennie Thompson wanted him killed once in jail by stripping secret service protection. We are minimizing lawfare. Plouffe’s dream would’ve been granted if they jailed and killed Trump.
