Update from suburban village in SE Wisconsin. Big early votes. Went to poll this morning with my 26 year old son and 19 yr old daughter. All three of us vote Trump. I had a discussion with a CHURCH GOING acquaintance on Sunday about abortion, she’s probably in her 70’s and she said women need to have control of their bodies. She said abortions were not available for rape or ectopic pregnancies. I don’t believe that and told her so. She mentioned coat hanger abortions. In today’s age? I’m not aware that abortions aren’t available for those two reasons. I hate that abortion is used for birth control.

A procedure to save the life of the mother, such as in an ectopic pregnancy, doesn’t directly intend to kill the baby, although that is a tragic effect. (You can see the difference by realizing if the baby could be removed and grow elsewhere, it would, so the indirect effect of the child’s death is that it is indirect, ie not the direct killing of the child but the surgery to save the mother. I’m hoping that made sense.)

Losing, the Democrats are going to go after Speaker Johnson. Liz Cheney just told Anderson Cooper, “No, he would not do the right thing in January.” Then Nancy Pelosi agreed and said Hakeem Jeffries would be the Speaker in January.
So, we begin to see a last ditch plan to block President Trump by the Democrats in the House of Representatives. They are not going to gain a majority, but a coalition of Democrats and Rhinos could potentially oust Johnson and put in Jeffries, who could block the inauguration of President Trump. I think it’s a stretch, but these desperate people will try anything.
Winning today, the fight will not be over. We have President Trump, his loyal family, and the Seven Samurai. We cannot emerge from the darkness, into the light, only to be pulled back into the cave by these soulless people. While we vote today, we must do more than remain vigilant. We must disable the plotters, who, remember Guy Fawkes, conspire to destroy our Constitution.
They have to win the house majority first.
