There is that moment in the final minutes of the hockey game’s third period, when the score is 3-2 and the coach of the losing team signals to pull the goalie. We are in the political equivalent of that moment.
Ignore all the push polling that will surface today and in the next 48 hours. Everything you see, read, hear and view on the electronic devices is now part of an influence operation that has reached its desperate apex. The pull the goalie phase of the manipulation effort to influence the 2024 presidential election is upon us.
The USA Today poll by Ann Selzer, recorded in the official declarations pushed by the Des Moines Register, published late yesterday, was part of the design. In essence, the scripted play was to set up a Sunday blitz of polling from the New York Times/Sienna to outline the 2024 presidential contest as a tossup, anyone’s’ race.
Corporate media practice and repeat this script just like the forementioned hockey team. It is as predictable as all other UniParty moves.
All other polling has President Trump beating KamalObama by around 8 to 10 points in Iowa. The USA Today/DMR poll of Kamala +3 is nonsense. As Richard Baris said funnily, “it’s like Selzer polled the Starbucks line in Manhattan.”
Yup, the whistle for the final minute time-out call was transparent and purposeful, eh. The Sunday ‘talks’ need an alignment of polling narrative; the whistle gives them that signal.
Here’s the current game disposition and overly general historic landscape as it appears.
♦ In 2006 the enamored and easily influenced Millennials voted to support Obama. The Boomers were watching Fox News and voting to support the traditional next in line McCain and Romneys’.
Accordingly…. Gen-X, in their income prime, were trying to survive the economic contraction and saw the kids amassing to support the Lightbringer. While jumping in the car for work, Gen-X shouted to the neighborhood kids, “watch out, he ain’t what you think,” then put their heads down and went to their jobs. The results were what was expected.
The outcome of the “fundamental change” wasn’t a surprise, but the pragmatic Gen-X understood sometimes kids have to learn the lesson the hard way. The Boomers were still focused on the UniParty TV series.
♦ In 2016 politics followed the track of Star Wars. Thanks in no small part to a generally pissed off GenX; populism and economic nationalism was a big success. However, in 2020 The Empire struck back, the battles were epic. Everyone began to see the scale of the Deep State fraud exposed by Donald Trump.
Fast forward to 2024. The last segment of the Trump trilogy, The Return of the Jedi.
♦ In 2024 Gen-X, understanding the rise of the Obama era and the futility of fighting the residual Kool-Aid effect, ignored the Millennials and shifted their messaging for an alliance back to Gen-Z. Pragmatism and populism countered the cultural revolution of the Chicago Marxists by teaching and gathering a new generation of Jedi.
It was annoying at times, frustrating at times but eventually successful. Big Tech (ie. the Death Star) was targeted and fractured.
As the Boomers began to realize something was happening that looked promising, they stopped watching television. A new era of communication tech, platforms and anti-fragile messaging systems were deployed. Gen-Z was learning fast that something new, something for them, was possible.
The smart Boomers realized Gen-X had a solid plan. The Gen-Z alignment with Gen-X was successful, despite the drone-like and boring behavior of the millennial storm troopers giving the illusion of superiority.
Returning to my terribly switching metaphors. Team Marxist’s coach Obama has blown the whistle. The Democrats are in their ‘pull the goalie’ phase.
However, when Kamala fails, and she will fail, eventually they will come to realize their older legs never stood a chance without the 18–25-year-old Jedi that a pissed off Gen-X took the time to train.

Here in my purplish area of southern New England, Trump bumper stickers outnumber Harris bumper stickers between 4/1, and the yard signs are even or possibly 2-1 in favor of Trump.
Most of the Trump bumper stickers are on trucks belonging to working class men. There are almost no Harris stickers so I cannot comment on the equivalent, but the drivers seem to be on the senior end of the senior group. Most of the Harris signs are in areas where you still see Ukrainian flags (lol, yep) and other signs of terminal liberalism, or in areas where the owners are old and clinging to the lowest rungs of the middle class.
While Trump has no chance here in Massachusetts these trends suggest that even here there is very little enthusiasm among the Democrats excepting the cultists, while the MAGA base is extremely energized. I would not be surprised if he comes very close to winning Plymouth County, which has a huge working class Italian population, and gets within 5-10 points of carrying one or two others.
Here in mostly red rural Maryland the Harris Walz signs are primarily in the yards of middle class black homes–probably all have cushy local gubberment jobs or work in school systems.
It is interesting though that even in Deep Blue Massachusetts people are un afraid to put up President Trump signs and put bumper stickers on their cars.
Not all of Mass is Deep Blue. There a lot of working class people, especially working class Catholics, who are historically aligned with the Democrats but who have been alienated by that party and are not interested in the Bush version of the Republicans. These groups have shifted towards Trump’s GoP both here in New England and nationally.
Democrats continue to dominate the state because of the corrupt political machine, a feckless Republican machine, and the voting power of the Boston metro area. (In 2016 3/4 of Clinton’s total vote came of the Boston area, for Biden in 2020 it was a bit less). Outside of greater Boston and smaller/affluent counties the vote split is typically closer to 60/40 rather than 70+/30-. Even a five point shift would make those areas 55/45.
I too have noticed there is evidence of less vandalism or removal of Trump campaign material this year. It happened a little bit earlier in the fall, but the signs I see now have been up for weeks.
Sadly if the Globalists get away with what they are already doing and probably plan on doing they will try and declare Harris the winner.

I pulled the cord in 2007/08, back when you pretty much needed an HDMI cord to stream to your TV from your computer/laptop. I was lucky that I had an extra laptop the 2nd or so year. Trying to find an antenna that would get the local stations was the hardest part. Walmart people were great in allowing me to return one antenna after another until I found one that worked in the mountainous Bonnies.
Will say that currently is is so much easier and actually cheaper due to all the free stuff.

One poll flawed, who cares?
Way too many of my Boomer friends are still addicted to Faux News and cannot see the forest for the trees! An equal number of people in their age group have CNN and MSNBC on all day, everyday. Both sides repeat the talking points that they hear and neither side has any idea of what is really happening!
However, a disturbingly large number of my Gen X friends are voting solely on the abortion issue because they have been brainwashed believe that is the most important thing in their lives. I am concerned that that is the wild card that could flip a couple of states and in turn, flip the election…
What good is it to win the election and lose your soul?
Simply because of my age, I can probably name 30 women, that I know personally, right off the top of my head who had an abortion, usually in their late teens to early twenties when ultrasounds were either non-existent or not widely available. Of that group, I would say it is about a 50/50 split between those who have deep remorse and speak out, trying to offer wisdom and advice to other young women to not make that same decision. But the half that continue to defend it to the death, no pun intended, are absolutely visceral and utterly unreasonable. I suspect much of Hollywood and the media fall into the latter camp and they are the ones driving the issue to the forefront with the highly suggestible young women of today, IMHO!
I know a lot of young women who are single issue voters regarding the abortion issue and I cannot fathom why–especially since the whole “My body my choice” argument went out the freaking window during Covid. Its a visceral reaction
I must say that I was able to get my 70+ Mom, a lifelong democrat, to finally wake up by watching the slightly conservative Fox News. She is voting President Trump this year.
If your Gen X friends are a little bit normal they should be able to see the reality of the abortion issue for what it is now. It is up to the states. And unless they are independently wealth, the fact that they now pay $5,000-$7,000 more per year for the same lifestyle in 2019 should be far more important than abortion rights after 15 weeks.
Here in southern Maine, I have seen sign saying “Roe Roe Roe your vote”. This year, Maine passed an abortion law allowing them until birth. The Dems, who control our House, Senate and Governorship, used dirty tactics to coerce their members into supporting the bill. I’m told that, without that effort, the bill would have failed in the House. Killing unborn babies and selling their parts is big business here.
What a horrible reality for the people of beautiful Maine. To be subjected to barbaric and amoral laws is beyond evil. Time to get tough and recall, reject and replace your reps.

Note that the TIPP poll, the one with by far the best record over the last 5 elections, has moved Trump ahead in the ‘nationwide’ polls for the first time ever. Harris has been stuck at 48% for the last 9 days and counting.
But more than that, the nationwide polls simply don’t really matter. If they did, CA & NY could elect the President by themselves every 4 years.
It’s the state votes that count in the Electoral College, not the national popular vote which Republicans consistently
lose because CA/NY are so vote heavy and deep blue.

Here in Central Ohio we have a beautiful clear day; temps in the 50’s and most of the leaves are down and mulched or raked. So I am going outside to finish up outside chores. We voted early and have done what we can. We continue to pray that President Trump will be the 47th President of the United States.

Boomers used to be defined as ending in 1960.
The definition keeps shifting into the 60’s. Wikipedia defines the end of the boomer generation as 1964 currently.
The definitions don’t define the generations very accurately. I was born in late 1960 and feel much more akin to gen X than the boomer generation. I got few of the benefits experienced by the boomers. The ladder got pulled up just as I arrived in so many ways.
I resented the hippies in my younger days and felt they were entitled brats that didn’t recognize how good they had it.
They have now divided Boomers into I and II groups. The real Boomers of post war who became teens in the early 1960s and those born a bit later a/k/a the Jones Boomers who were teens in the late 70’s.
The Jones group are somewhat aligned with GenX as they experienced similar economic hardship, gas shortages and social unrest, more than post war Boomers did. Their outlook is also more pessimistic toward govt., they are realists and are very self sufficient.

Just for fun, I looked up what final polls said in Carter vs Reagan, 1980. Dead heat, within the margin of error for final two weeks. Reagan took 44 states and won the popular vote.

If you’re wondering why the bet markets tanked on Trump, it’s because Ann Selzer, formerly thought to be the “gold standard” pollster of Iowa, dumped a Harris +3 for Iowa.
The far from MAGA pollster Emerson dropped a Trump +10.5 one hour before to cut her off at the pass, and Atlas (most accurate of 2020) dropped a poll with Trump winning all swing states right after it.
Selzer has Iowa dead on the last two races. For the record, Iowa has moved from R+1 to R+10.3 in the last 4 years and with GOP gains in all 99 counties. The GOP leads early voting after losing it by 12% last time but winning the state by 8.
Iowa will go to Trump by 12. This poll was dumped to mislead about the rest of the Midwest and was leaked to key Dems before it was published. It should be investigated as an anti-corruption measure and we should know what Selzer was paid or threatened with.

Minnesota Somali community leaders have endorsed Trump and slam democrats. There are about 86k new Trump voters now in MN. That and a general Trump momentum could eat up the 230k loss by Trump in 2020.
There are others who will follow the Somali vote so expect a very close MN. In the presser they also called for voting straight down the Republican ticket including school boards and city races.

Carter +6 to +8, on the day before Election Day. And we all know what happened in 1980.
Gallop lost all credibility, and was driven from the Presidential polling business for over 30 years, after that.
