When you consider the probability that both govt and private sector are generating ballots, then you evaluate ballot centric issues accordingly. If the scanner is aligned to only one format of ballots, and more than one format are floating around (depending on county) then temporary malfunctions are likely.

In Arizona in the 2022 midterms, Dems monkeywrenched the tabulators the night before election day, which is overwhelmingly GOP voters showing up to vote in person ON election day.
The Dem saboteurs reset the machines to expect a margin width different from the actual official ballots
The machines wouldn’t accept any ballots
This persisted from 6:30am when polls opened
At 2:30pm techs showed up to respond to the issue
Thousands of voters were told to submit their ballots to be put in big bags “to be counted later”
Those bags were later placed among bags of already-counted ballots and so could no longer be identified and selected out for counting
Poof – tens of thousands of Republican ballots nullified
Some people went to other polling stations and filled out provisional ballots
Which were disregarded “because they were voting out-of-district”
Many others simply went home, discouraged
Elections go your way when you control the polling places and the hardware

A national day of voting… if they could shut the country down for almost 2 years we can certainly stop for one day. Voting could be held at closed schools, hospitals, fire stations and police stations. Leaving essential workers in place AND being able to vote in person.
My son used to be a poll worker back in the mid 2000s, before mail in balloting was the norm, and he said that if anyone came in that lived in a different county or precinct, they would look it up based on their address, and then print off a ballot specific to them.
After they had voted, it was placed into a sealed bag that was sent to the corresponding county after the polls closed, so that it could be counted that night.
My husband was a firefighter and he said they always took turns covering for each other so that everyone would have the opportunity to vote while on duty. Easy peasy, despite the fact that the Left insists that it impossible to do it that way because people will be “disenfranchised”!
The practice in our county, if they end up at the wrong polling place, is to enter their address at the first table, then the iPad tells us where they are supposed to go vote with the little piece of paper the printer spits out with their correct polling location based on their address. That’s Ohio.
The procedure in NC is that the precinct official tells them the correct precinct address. If the voter says he doesn’t have time to go to the correct precinct, he can vote a provisional ballot, which is put in an envelope and counted by the Election Board.
It’s similar here in Indiana except we really strongly advise and near beg that they go to the other polling place because filling out a provisional here takes longer (c. 40 minutes) than it takes to get anywhere in the county from anywhere else in the county and ties up the site manager (inspector) and downtown election officials who you have to be on the phone with throughout the process in order to complete it.
I’m pretty sure Hell involves having to help people fill out provisional ballots for eternity.
In southern Illinois, when someone comes into the precinct I work, that doesn’t live in that precinct, we call election office & find where they need to go.
If they aren’t in the system, we send them to the election office to register & vote there. That way that don’t have to vote provisional.
We avoid provisional voting at all costs.
This is ripe for abuse: vote by provisional ballot and then go to the correct precinct and vote again. If a person doesn’t have time to go to the next precinct? Try another day (it is election SEASON, after all, not election DAY anymore).
And seriously, people need to be more pro-active: one should pay attention to things sent in the mail around election time. (I’m not talking about the campaign flyers.) Any time my voting location has changed, I am sent a notice in the mail. It is also so easy to find all info online–check before you go vote!

I was a poll worker in 2000, 2004 and 2008. When someone came in to vote and they were from a different precinct, we directed them to that precinct. They were not allowed to vote in ours. We had a map of all the precincts and would be able to show that person where they needed to go. This was in Upstate New York. Our voting results were also reported that night. The final election result had to wait for the California results. Once California polls closed it didn’t take long for the final results of the election. None of this 3-10 day waiting and counting ballots AFTER the polls closed! When the polls closed the polls were closed. If you find ballots in a bathroom, or in a car or under a table, tough! The polls are closed! No more counting.

This is the idea. Keep everything as localized in time and space as possible, and as open to public view as possible. Minimize the hands on the ballots, maximize the eyes on the ballots. Require accountability for ballots as if they were nuclear bomb parts.

I will be 80 years old in less than a month. All my life I voted at my polling place on election day without a problem, whether I lived in Missouri or Florida. Have people just turned stupid, trying to vote somewhere different than they are supposed to? This is the first year I voted early because PDJT said we should but I was very uncomfortable doing it. Not that I think my vote won’t count, it is just not what I normally did.

Grocery stores have checkout lines that are rarely used. Ditto for Home Depot, Lowes, CostCo, etc.

Workers need to go up and down the line telling people to read and pre fill out a sample ballot so they can speed up the process. You feed your own ballot thru the reader and check it. You are responsible for checking your own ballot. If it is correct, you hit VOTE. When you leave, you walk thru a private tunnel and place your ballot thru a Trump slot or Harris slot or Other slot. The ballot falls into a glass box which is streamed. The glass box is sitting on a scale the weighs the ballots. You exit a turnstile that counts how many people voted at that location. At the end of the day you post the results for each precinct.
People will make mistakes by placing their ballot in the wrong slot. The scales are there to protect against massive fraud.
The only people who get mail-in ballots are the homebound, or those out of area on government business. In those cases, fingerprints are required on the envelope. Their ballots must be mailed and postmarked at least 10 days before election day. All ink in postmark machines must change color 9 days before election. It is a felony to tamper with postmark dates for election purposes.
Each state must have three, and only three, days of early voting. Two days are Saturday and Sunday two weeks before the election. The third day is Tuesday, one week before the election. This will give people who are going to be out of town on election day time to vote. If you can’t make any of those days, too bad.
The voting hours are the same in every state 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. State results must be reported by midnight. The ratio of polling stations to population must be homogeneous throughout the county and county areas. Elected officials will be automatically subject to recall and/or prosecution if violations occur. Judges may not extend voting hours.

I don’t think it’s evidence of cheating per se ON THE BALLOT itself. Not like some have 2 Kamala check boxes and no Trump check box.. But very well could be intentional IN ORDER TO SLOW THE PROCESS DOWN.
Gives them an excuse to say it’ll take X number of days to count and make corrections. And… VOILA…. in that extra time they are able to figure out exactly how many votes are needed to bring their preferred candidate within striking distance. Either to flat out have more votes the first round or to initiate a recount where they can cheat at an even later date.

So, this helps us identify which ballots are not authentic but how do we stop them from being counted? They always claim that they don’t want to disenfranchise voters to justify counting as many as they can including ones improperly filled out or missing signatures.
Likely the key is what happens when County Election Office contacts Runbeck customer support to investigate ballot scanning problem. The anticipation is Runbeck service advisor is trained on election integrity and does good, honest, rapid job investigating whether issue is ballot fraud or legitimate technical issue to address.

The barcodes on the two different ballots did not look like they were the same size / length.
These “temporary malfunctions” are intentional and built into the process as a feature, not a bug. Even the witless Jimmy Carter understood that paper ballots, voted with and counted on ONE Election Day, was the only way to prevent ballot fraud.
I might add that maximum oversight from large teams of election observers representing both candidates , throughout the entire voting and counting process and with no “pauses” in the counting, would ensure a clean election.
We voted today. Suffolk County, NY. They printed the ballot, everyone’s, on the spot – we watched them come out of the printer. Ran it through the scanner; “Ballot Accepted”.

There was another interesting ploy back in 2020 during the COVID bullschiff – when schools, colleges / universities were shut down. There were an awful lot of votes from college “students” supposedly AT their colleges / universities all over the country that were for Joe Bribem. Now how do you suppose that happened?

You assume that the state of Nevada wouldn’t want cheating. The only ones here who have a problem with cheating are the people of Nevada. And the legal system has been arranged for maximum punishment against mere citizens who ask questions.
Perhaps you should ask Kari Lake how easy it is to win a lawsuit against blatant fraud by a secretary of state overseeing her own election to governor.
Why are they using inkjet printing? All ballots should be printed on offset web presses with clear films and highly competent lead press operators who do quality control checks (with magnifying glasses) after a certain number of impressions throughout the run. This is not a job that should be assigned to just anyone in the shop. Out of focus films can & do happen by sloppy pre-press camera work. A competent lead operator will spot this when setting up a job or at the first quality check. And DO NOT leave the job to the day shifts. 90% of production happens in the 2nd shift or 3rd if the shop runs 24/7. 1st shifts are generally staffed by the “teacher’s pets” and do just enough to look busy if the suits come walking through. Sure there are press breakdowns, but a competent experienced lead or 2nd operator can diagnose and usually fix a mechanical problem if they know their machines.
The example above that Sundance showed was actually Nevada County in California. At least that was what the envelope showed.
Are we deliberately hearing about ballot issues in several states now to convince people that “We’re watching out for these instances to make sure the elections are fair!” Seems to me they are going a bit overboard on convincing us that when Kamala wins (Stolen) that we should just settle down.

The individual precinct-level election officials are the suckers. They literally do not know. They may care, but they do not know.

I went out to early voting today and couldn’t believe the setup they have at the polling place.
You get on line, then go to a table where each worker has a tablet and a printer. You give them your name and address which hopefully shows up on the screen, then sign the tablet with a stylus and hope that it matches what was on the old books they used to use.
Then the worker puts a blank ballot sheet into the printer and prints out the ballot for my district. In other words, each district gets a different ballot because there are different people running for local offices. Then you take the ballot to the “privacy” booth, fill in the dots, bring it over to the machine and feed it in where it registers that you vote.
So- there is no chain of custody, it’s a big free for all and they can print as many ballots as they want and run them through the tabulating machine. How is this legal? And where else is this happening??

At the last Presidential Election, ballots were printed out after you signed in.
Lat election, I had to flag mine as they gave me a ballot for the wrong district.
That’s how Ohio is doing early voting. I voted at Board of Elections. So people from different precincts are all being checked in at that location. But previously when I voted on election day at my precinct, the ballots were preprinted, pulled from the stack and recorded, not printed as I waited.
It’s the same process in many states. It is not legal or valid.
You describe exactly what happens in early voting in NC. In my county the issue is that, depending on where you live in the county, we have different state representatives. So, when you give them your address, they make sure to print the ballot with your specific representative and opponent (R and D) on it. Everything else on the ballot is the same. I came in with my sample ballot (printed off from the county website) filled in so I could compare and make sure I didn’t miss anything. It was exactly the same.
Deborah- this is the first time our county has used ballots on demand and I am very leery of the whole concept. At this time BOD is only being used at the early voting centers.
For election day, the county board of elections has printed by an outside printing company, thousands of ballots.
We are a very small NY county, less than 100K population so I am not sure how many ballots will be printed for potential voters.
The problem is that there is no chain of custody for the pre-printed ballots. The board of elections gives each town way more ballots than they need, then collects the extras at the end of the day and supposedly keeps them for 2 years then destroys them.
After being in local and state politics for decades and seeing all the cheating that takes place on both sides, I don’t doubt that the board of elections can elect whoever they want. They have plenty of ballots to work with.
As far as BOD, there are many problems coming up including ID verification, printer doesn’t work, people get the wrong ballot for their district and THERE ARE NO TECH PEOPLE ON CALL TO HELP OUT.

The routine in GA for all voting, both early and on election day:
Early voting is done at a central location in each county. Election-day voting is at individual precinct houses.
You sign in as you described showing a driver’s license for ID, and a chip card (akin to a credit card) is generated specifically for you. The ballot is on a touch-screen, and is generated when you insert the chip card. After you make your selections, you have to review the ballot on-screen and hit “print”.
A paper copy in plain English – with a barcode – is generated, which you subsequently feed into a scanner. You see “vote recorded” on the scanner’s screen.
Theoretically, this procedure creates electronic and paper trails for each ballot, which can be reconciled as required.
47Y – thanks for the info. That seems pretty complicated! Also, in NY we don’t have to show any ID when we vote. If you try to show them a drivers license they tell you that they’re not allowed to ask to see it.
When our President Trump gets re-elected, one of his first acts should be to make it ELECTION DAY, not week, not month and to require ID and paper ballots, no screens, etc.

In the news report the election official attributes the intermittent failure to an “ink overspray” of the barcode. That type of problem would cause some of the ballot barcodes to not be readable (barcode technology is deliberately very resistant to that type of error) so the “overspray” would have to be egregious and obvious to the naked eye.
However, when the reporter is demonstrating the good vs defective ballots, the defective barcode one is clearly printed with the barcode misplaced by about a sixteenth of an inch. This would imply that the two ballots came from different printing sources. What they were showing was absolutely NOT due to any kind of “inkjet overspray”.
Why was the election manager pretending that the problem was so minute that one needed a magnifying glass to see it, it was so obvious Ray Charles could have seen it.
Also why on earth would the election managers be using blank ballots that were printed using inkjet printers instead of high speed offset commercial printing presses? Looks and sounds like BS to me.
Could be that inkjet printing allows for magnetic inks (like bank checks) or something similar that a web printer can’t. Just guessing.
Barcode did look shorter on one but I think the two ballots were slightly stair-stepped and not perfectly aligned side by side.

I tried to edit that post but I couldn’t. I’m just saying that the two barcodes may indeed be the same length, but that the two ballots were offset slightly.

My previous comment never made it. Perhaps I was too succint. I’ll try again with more words. In the 80s we began to notice printing anomalies. They were too consistent to be accidental. Govt denied it. Manufacturers denied it. But we could see it. Magic dots, we called them. Embedded in the printing, they identify the exact machine that printed each sheet of paper. Tech has evolved, there’s ink jet density embeds, algorithmic encryption embeds, etc. The point is this. Any printed sheet of paper contains a code that identifies the exact individual machine that printed it. From massive printing presses to the one in your home or office. This fraud is VERY easy to investigate. Very easy. And it has been. For decades.

What are “insider threats”? Is that like the Black Panthers standing at the voting centers in (I think) Philadelphia with baseball bats in 2016? Or is it just your average MAGA getting upset when they say he/she already voted? I need a for instance! I really get the feeling TPTB want to throw more MAGAs in jail ala Jan. 6th. Be careful out there — desperation on the left means trouble for the right.
Another way they are trying to throw the election – deny access to a federal database that is there to allow citizenship verification (not that I don’t think it’s been corrupted…)

ALL electronic devices of whatever kind are open to anyone who knows what they are doing. Paper ballots, one day of voting and hand counts are the ONLY way forward.
I think we should all brush up on our spanish and swamp the swing states where showing an I.D. is against the law.

HOW TO DETECT FRAUD IN NEVADA’S 77,000 BALLOTS
The 77,000 ballots should be tallied separately, and they better be close to the Trump/Harris ratio of the overall population in that area.
The 77,000 ballots should remain separate for inspection by both parties.
When a print job is running, the pressman pulls out samples every 1,000 or so to inspect them. This is sometimes done under magnification.
It is unlikely the printing press had a catastrophic fail. There should exist ballots that begin to show the error, but still read.
Runbeck should make restitution for the error if it is their error.
Ballots need to be audited; not just counted.
The facade of American democracy has been badly exposed to outsiders like me.. I don’t think these are situations you are going to reverse…..
The only question to me is how Americans who are acting in good faith are going to react to a second straight openly fraudulent Presidential election
Here on east coast of FL we had a new twist.
Our ballots this year are only a single sheet printed both sides.
So we have one page, the security sleeve and the envelope.
About 2 or 3 days after voting started the county sent out a notice that the post office informed the county that a single stamp was not sufficient.
The county was picking up the difference but requested that people put another stamp on before mailing.
Strange that this didn’t happen during any other times including earlier this year during primary.
Two stamps for a mailpiece that consists of one envelope and one sleeve, and one sheet of paper?
What are they using for the ballot, heavy card stock?
Hello all Treeper”s . Went to vote “early” in PA today on the last day for early voting, and cast an “on demand voting” ballot at the nearest precinct with my next door neighbor today in W. PA.
Essentially, I filled out a “mail in ballot,” but that was okay with me. We both wanted to take part in the “Too Big to RiG.” agenda.
All I can say is – the Serpent that has been coiling itself around my spine, legs, etc. since 2016 started to uncoil and unwind today. It will take until I am 100 years of age until I unwind from all of this.
