Was watching a recent football game (NFL) this week and there was a Harris ad stating the Trump is going to have a national sales tax for him and his billionaire buddies. Has anyone Ever heard those words around Trumps time in politics? I haven’t. You know if he had even mentioned this the media would run wild with it.

I think the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 also has a national sales tax proposal/scenario. In my area, there are Democrat campaign commercials trying to tie Trump to Project 2025. The Democrats’ sales tax comments may be part of that effort.

In the olden times, I used to like to get the paper grocery bags, double-bagged – and I would pay for them – as I found when I got the plastic bags they are just awful for stashing things in the pantry plus it keeps me from carrying too many bags at once. 🙂
(BTW, they were charging per 10 cents a bag for the paper bags – but now they also charge for the plastic bags – purportedly to encourage people to use their own tote bags)

Retired Magistrate here: Just got back from early voting here in Central Ohio. Quite a few people voting today; however, the lines moved quickly. Everyone had to show ID, by state constitutional amendment; no valid ID, no vote.
After we were done I saw Trump signs stacked against an individual’s car. Asked if I could have one and the lady said that typically there is a charge but a Trump supporter had paid for all of them so they were free for the taking. Talked to the man who paid for the signs; a black gentleman with a Trump shirt and hat. We had a nice conversation and agreed that if Trump doesn’t win, the country as we know it is gone. Yes, I know we are far from what our founders intended. However, if Harris is elected we will be a communist country with some freedom loving outposts.
This guy has guts, he was going up to people who he assumed (and as it turned out rightly so) were voting Harris and used his persuasive skills to change their minds. Don’t know if it worked or not but he was certainly trying.
So the signs are up (Trump/Vance); we will see how long it takes before somebody takes them down. Based on where our driveway is, at the bottom of a hill with no good place to pull off, an individual will be risking life and limb to take down the signs.
There’s a young couple around the block from me, with a baby, and they have the first Trump sign I have seen in the neighborhood.
Theirs says that Trump is the peace candidate.
I haven’t seen many Harris/Walz signs.
Only see a few Harris signs–mostly in affluent black yards.

We are tired of the corrupt government stealing all the tax dollars from our labor, and using it to wage wars across the globe, while the American people suffer. We are done being slaves.
We are tired of being told what we are seeing is not real. We are tired of being lied to on a global scale. We are tired of being poisoned and deceived.
We are tired of pretending. The entire Left-wing machine has been waging war on men for years, and now they are surprised that we have had enough.
They need to be worried about a lot more than just losing the election. The men of this nation want heads to roll for what they have done to us, and many of us will not rest until that task is accomplished.

It keeps getting worse for Kamala. Now it comes out (from the British press, of course, not our own press, which is covering up for her incompetence) that Kamala held a civil law job.
She performed poorly. Getting a “2” rating for timeliness. And she got this rating from court personnel. So you know if the U.S. press has been doing its job, reporters here in the USA could have tracked down court workers who knew Kamala had sloughed off work. They never looked.
Meanwhile, if Trump ever happened to tell a doorman that his shirt was untucked, the New York Times would have a breathless story out about Trump’s lack of human empathy — for gosh sakes, man, the doorman had a sick baby that day.
Kamala has failed upwards her entire career. We can’t let her fail upwards into the presidency.
If that happens, woe betide the country.
