He is adorable, and he is not ‘stealing’ he is finding discarded items that for some strange reason humans like, or have use for, and he is bringing gifts to his beloved person. He is also showing he is a good provider to his ‘pride’ or family. Cats are awesome!
Some years ago I had a cat (his name was Cedric )who had become sick, he walked very slowly, and had digestive problems. Tt seemed like over a few days, but perhaps he had been hiding his discomfort, and the vet who made house calls, said ‘cancer’ .and not likely to survive any treatment, which we thought would be hard on Cedric.
I knew he was feeling very sad, and he was very loving and very intelligent, and I knew, that he knew, in some way, he was aware of his serious condition by his behavior . I know other people reading this will know, if you have a close relationship with a special animal, they almost talk to you. There is communication between you..
To make a longish story short, Cedric ‘asked me’ for a tin of tuna. which he loved. He occasionally got it as a treat and would eat half a tin and be happy. This time he wanted the whole tin and I gave it to him ( human quality tuna.) I wondered if he could eat it but he managed to eat it all and I was surprised. Maybe he saw it as his last meal.
He liked to go out and he surprised me the next day by making it clear he wanted the sliding patio door off the kitchen, opened and kept trying to draw my attention to outside, even after I had opened it for him. I knew there was something out there he wanted me to see.
There at the bottom of a step of the modest sundeck, was a garden path between a rose garden and a small lawn. There, were four, silvery grey, deceased mice, carefully arranged together, neatly, all the same size, all spotless as if sleeping, all four tails neatly stretched out, All noses and tails were parallel. as if how it looked, like a very special spotless offering, this gift to me and my son, was very important to him.
He had taken some time doing this, and I was overwhelmed when I realized he had done this for us while he was so sick.
He was waiting at the kitchen door, just inside with his back towards me (trying to be nonchalant? modest about his magnificent gift?) and I thanked him profusely, and hugged him, and told him how loved he was…. and I cried.
How I wish I had had my wits about me and taken a picture of that gift. But I was too emotional You really had to see it to believe it.
He went to sleep, with the aid of the vet, in his home with us loving him. shortly after.
I was so touched by his kindness, I also thanked him for his thoughtfulness in presenting his gift so beautifully, and that there were two mice each for us as we were big compared to him. It was many years ago, but I still miss him terribly and get emotional thinking of him and what he did. I know he had a good life with us, and I hope to se him again………
I think he knew what was happening to him and he had wanted to say goodbye, and thank you. Tears.
Our beloved pets are much more aware and intelligent than we give them credit for. Go and hug your special furry friends. Like our children, they are a gift from God, especially those who perhaps are lonely and have no children. They ask so little from us and they are a joy to have around.

Your precious Cedric. (Weeping) They truly are… just the greatest joy and such a blessing that God gave us such stewardship on these wild miniature lions and tigers that God so gifted us to hold in our hands.
Today, I was kneeling by my bed praying. My hands folded and outstretched a little with my head tucked down. Maggie – our little kitten rescue, who is now six months old, stepped into the hole on the bed surrounded by my arms and she laid down in the middle of my prayer. Then, she got up and scooted closer, so she could be next to my beating heart.
What a profound honor.
We have one right now who seems to be sick, our gorgeous Maine Coon, and my very best friend on the planet, Harold, has lost a great deal of his fur on his belly and legs. He seems to have sores on either side of his mouth and two healing sores on top of his head – where it seems he took a beating from one of the other cats.
Not sure what’s going on, as we were away last weekend, and an appointment will be made at the vet to try to figure out what’s ailing him, but he breaks me when I see him – he’s only five years old – suffering. He is not a fighter in any way, shape or form, so scrapping isn’t in his wheelhouse.
He is in love with the kittens – especially Maggie – so I cannot discern if it is an adverse emotional reaction to the kittens causing too much grooming – or if maybe a reaction to a litter change (the same manufacturer and type – just different in the series of the brand) that’s upsetting him.
I appreciate your prayers for Harold, as he gifts to me, as your Cedric gifted to you. I am so sensitive to sufferings, in all forms, right now. My heart is heavy and I lift my tears to God Who cares for each of us and for that which concerns us.

At our previous house we were befriended by a homeless little calico kitty. She lived for awhile in the brush pile across the street. My late wife, who loved kitties, brushed the burrs out of her long fur and started giving her some food. Quite soon, we started noticing little “gifts” of mice and lizards on our porch. Then the little kitty started running down our long driveway to greet us when we got home from school. Her regular runs soon attracted the attention of an owl who sat in a nearby tree and repeatedly swooped down to catch the little cat. Every day turned into a race against impending death that the savvy little cat always won. When we bought our current home, my wife rescued the kitty from her brush pile. “Calico” became a loved member of our 5 kitty (and 3 dog) tribe.

Israel Update:
-A lot of speculations as to when and what will be the retaliation of Israel against Iran. Today Washington Post said that “the attack will be in the next 48 hours and American Forces in the area were told to prepare for possible situations.” I wouldn’t count on it. Israel is facing a hard decision of what to do. Going into an attrition of back and forth missile attacks for months is not a good option. So it has to be smart.
A few reports on Telegram channels of some 4 American refueling airplanes arriving to the area. This makes one wonder if the US will help with a strike on nuclear facilities. I doubt it but I hope so. As I said Israel needs the MOB (bunker busting bomb) that only the US has. Those sites are very deep. In Israel we look at it as a rare opportunity that the world understands that we must respond. On another note, I heard an Ex-General who is a good source said that “we have means that we can use in Iran”. He didn’t want to say what, he referred to the nuclear sites. . So I will leave the speculations aside at this point.
-While we got a lot of rockets from Hezbollah. More than a hundred. No casualties, a few direct hits on deserted properties close to the border.
On the other hand the Chief of Staff of Israel in a talk with Commanders said that “We are not going to let them breathe, we I’ll keep pounding them stronger”. And today skies in Beirut were red. It was massively pounded. From the secondary explosions I see that we are still hitting munitions. The estimation is that about 50% of their 200,000 missiles have been destroyed. They still have a lot but we can’t let them fire too much. Also we hit many launchers so having missiles with no launchers can be useless.
The IDF bombed passages from Syria to Lebanon to prevent re-arming of Hezbollah and the IDF prevents flights from Iran and Iraq for the same reason. The maneuver is kept very confidential, as I said much more than Gaza. As of now there are close to 500 terrorists killed in South Lebanon and we are pushing Hezbollah out of the South areas that are too close to the bodies. No casualties reported today from the maneuver. Just so you know. The IDF doesn’t hide casualties, deaths or medium and serious injuries. The enemies claim so but the only time that there is no report is when the families have not been told yet. Families know first and everyone else later. Many Israeli families are on nails, have their fathers or sons fighting, and rumors of casualties stresses them out to say the least.
-Macron (French President) announced that France is going to pose a weapons embargo on Israel related to weapons that can be used in Gaza. Bibi made a very strong statement about it that pounded him badly. Basically “we are fighting the was of civilization against barbarism and the West should support us. We will be victorious with or without you, but your shame will eco through the future”.
As a note the important from France is very minor. I am pretty sure that we can do without it. As a note Britain is now in similar policy of Arms embargo and Germany is doing it quietly and in a controlled limited way as far as I know. What you’re seeing here is the Islamic conquest of Europe. It’s a subject for a longer discussion and videos. But those nations who are so hostile now like France, Britain, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Belgium. Are in the process of a demographic change in the Islamic direction. They will one day pay for their stand on the subject. Europe is heading to some serious problems and bloodshed. In my humble option. The US must be saved from those same destiny. Go Trump! go!
-Another IDF maneuver in an area of North Gaza. Apparently Hamas is making lots of money from the Humanitarian Aide and recruiting hundreds or thousands of new recruits. Many terrorist killed in the past 24 hours. Last that I knew was 30 dead, by now probably closer to 50.
There are efforts now by the IDF to control the aide so it doesn’t reach Hamas. Some high Generals suggested to Bibi and the Defense Establishment to close North Gaza and deny it humanitarian aide and then maneuver and clean up whatever needed to be clean. I think that is a good idea and don’t be surprised if it gets approved soon.
-Washington Post published an article about the beeper attack.
The beepers were assembled in Israel and came with a larger battery. They were programmed so when a terrorist wants to read an encrypted message they have to push two buttons and use both hands. That way both their hands get damaged in the explosion and they can’t ever go back to fight. Those were Taiwanese company of beepers which didn’t know about it all. A female distributor persuaded Hezbollah that those beepers have larger battery and longer battery life. They paid for the beepers millions of dollars. Paid it to a Mossad’s shell company. It was a smart engineering that concealed the explosives in a way that even when they opened it and inspected it they couldn’t suspect anything.
Pretty crazy staff. Too years to plan and execute.

Just reporting that our son was baptised this morning. We have been in long conversations about Jesus, and how with every early misstep in his life, my second born has never been abandoned. Recently he told me that he would see people praising God with unrestrained joy and wondered why he couldn’t feel the same.
I read to him one of CS Lewis’s quotes…
“Now we cannot…discover our failure to keep God’s law except by trying our very hardest (and then failing). Unless we really try, whatever we say, there will always be at the back of our minds the idea that if we try harder next time we shall succeed in being completely good. Thus, in one sense, the road back to God is a road of moral effort, of trying harder and harder.
But in another sense it is not trying that is ever going to bring us home. All this trying leads up the vital moment at which you turn to God and say, ” You must do this. I can’t. ”
And suddenly, my grown lad saw Who was standing beside him all those years 🙏 and is full of the joy he has long sought.
I sent him this…
“Behold I make all things new again,” along with some thoughts of my own…and of course have offered my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to God for what He has done.
At one point in my son’s early adult life, I truly feared for him on the self destructive road he was travelling. But through the grace of our Father, he saw where that road was going and on his own initiative, took the exit which was provided for him by the hand of Almighty God.
He texted me back with this short but meaningful message…
“Thanks, Mom. I love you, too. It was a wonderful experience. They had to change the water after I went. It was super dirty.”
I couldn’t love my Father, and his, more than I do at this moment 💕

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

God afternoon, dear Treeper friends!
There has never been a time in our lives where we have felt more immersed in solid academia than right now. From the moment we wake, to the moment we lay down, seven days a week – we are either working or learning. Just last night, we were able to take a breathe and watch an episode of Little House on the Prairie – still working through that great DVD series. I highly recommend it, if you can find a cheap copy – Savannah purchased hers for $60 through Menards… but talk about only feeding out minds with wholesome content!
Though Savannah is really challenged with multi-stepped processes and the dissemination of information – The Potter’s School online out of Pennsylvania – truly has some of the best curriculum and teachers out there. I highly recommend it… even for just supplemental learning in Summer School at home.
Between the Apologetics course and our Bible Study Fellowship “Revelation” study (bsfinternational.org) – the Word of God is literally pouring over all we do. The studies are deep and broad-reaching and the exercise of such translates into an exercise in deeper study to support her other courses – such as in US Government and Economics.
We are going through challenges in time management and I’m not doing a good job of keeping up with the threads. I love you all a bunch and pray often for all of you, though my discourse is at the minimum right now and a simple thumbs up has to be enough. I beg for the day when we have Eternity at hand and there is no suffering, no tears, no death and our days are filled with worship, holiness, purity, and good faith.
