A couple things that are driving the left absolutely crazy about the rally.

One is the size of the crowd. They are in total denial. I’ve even seen comments like “From what I’ve heard, there were less than 5,000 people there… hahahaha”. And even when confronted with the truth, even from their own side, even quotes from their own puppet-masters in the media, they still won’t admit it. Someone posted an aerial view of the venue, looking like a mini Woodstock, and the best they could come up with was “Yeah, AI is pretty impressive”, or “If those are real people, it cost Trump a LOT of money to pay them all off and bus them in.”

Yeah, so big-time denial. And the other main thing that’s making them insane is Elon Musk. Not just that he showed up and gave strong support to Trump, but that he was actually ENJOYING himself. They HATE that! 🙂 And I must admit, that part of it, how happy Elon was, is making ME really happy. The richest, one of the most powerful people on Earth and the guy is almost giddy. It was a beautiful thing to behold. And did you notice his shirt? “Occupy Mars”! Yay!!! I really think between him and Trump, we WILL land men on Mars within a few years.

But back to Elon being so happy, when he was jumping up and down, almost doing a happy dance, I was trying to figure out what that reminded me of. And it finally dawned on me: A 1978 Who concert where Pete Townshend seemed to really be having fun (even moreso than usual 😉 )

Biden himself sat by and grinned ear-to-ear, taking in the praise.

Is the symbolism of that exchange really lost on the panelists and the president, or are they really so vicious as to think this behavior is appropriate, despite recent events?…

“I have been to the State EOC, JTF- Civil Support TOC, and Marion, NC (Title 10 Headquarters FWD).
There is a worrying lack of urgency from the FEMA folks at the state EOC. They are actively inhibiting and have delayed T10 support in the region. At the tactical level NCNG/T10 integration is great and soldiers are finally out here helping communities, but FEMA is underutilizing rotary wing aircraft, (approx 18x Rotary wing mix of 60s, 47s, and 53s). The pilots want to fly and tie in with the volunteer/ non-profit to help distribute goods and work SAR.
The biggest concern on the ground (as a guy from Appalachia) is that they are only restoring access to the larger towns (places with a name), but no one (government wise) is helping to search for the communities of 10-15 folks that dot the “hollers” all over the mountains. We’re a long way away but I do believe progress has been made. Still a long way to go.
As to the circumstances that led to it taking 8-9 days for T10 forces to do anything useful, I can shed a bit of light on what I’ve seen:
When Helene formed and took a storm track to Florida, ARNORTH/NORTHCOM did not prep for a disaster because the impression is that Florida is so well run that they would not need support from Federal Agencies. No one at the FEMA/DOD level planned for what would happen if the storm made it up into Appalachia. It took about three to four days for FEMA to displace from Florida to NC.
Once FEMA arrived on ground, the state made it very clear that they did not want T10 forces. This is messaging that originated at the GOV office/NCNG TAG who want a political “win” for running the support without FED help much like Desantis in FL. That stubbornness has only hurt the communities because NC NG soldiers are busting ass but do not have capacity/capabilities to do it themselves.
As far as T10 forces getting put into the fight, never once have I heard it messaged that it’s because the communities need support. They have been transparent in the senior leader circles that this is an IO campaign in order to get public opinion and the news cycle to quit beating up on the Administration and FEMA.
I have sat in meetings where stars have said “get photos of T10 folks giving out food and water, cutting up some trees blocking the roads, and then pull them all back to Liberty once the news gets quiet again.”
This situation is sad, but at the same time these people are so incredibly resilient, and the civilian volunteers are doing the Lords work. The federal response is pretty sad. Hopefully it improves and they realize that we need to be here more than a week, but I’m not sure there is a vested interest from the administration in keeping T10 in the fight.”
