IMHO, Donald Trump has been handed unofficial responsibility to deliver this bad news to Volodymyr Zelensky. And then to take the heat for saying what had to be said to Zelensky as the Ukrainian national leader and to the Ukrainians as a people.
Donald Trump will do this because someone has to do it and because it’s the right thing to do.

Zelensky had multiple opportunities to save his country over the past several years including Minsk 1 and Minsk 2. In December 2021, Putin made several attempts to find a reasonable solution to the Ukraine Conflict which started in 2014 after the violent overthrow of the Ukrainian President. Putin simply asked for Ukraine to remain neutral like Austria and allow the predominantly Russian provinces of Lugansk and Donetsk to have elections to determine independent self-rule.
Zelensky rejected all of these proposals and even rejected a withdrawal offer from Russia in April 2022 with similar reasonable terms.
If Zelensky loses a third of Ukrainian territory then it’s because he deserves to!
Z could have also stopped bombing ethnic Russians in the Donbas. He chose not to.

Shortly after the death of Floyd, I watched the entire 40+ minutes of body cam footage. I was stunned by the positive professionalism of all the officers, the cooperation of Floyd’s companions in the SUV across the street (who told police that Floyd was high and somewhat paranoid and a bit out of control).
The common thread was that Floyd was totally uncooperative throughout the encounter. Not in any violent way, but he would not even follow the simplest of commands—they even offered to allow Floyd to sit in the shade because he was hot.
There were never any heated words exchanged and one view in the final (infamous) 7-8 minutes actually showed Floyd asking to be placed on the ground and then, when he began struggling, you could clearly see (again, from above and behind Floyd) that Chauvin’s knee was on Floyd’s back shoulder, not on his neck at all (which coincides with the coroner’s report that no bruising at all was found on Floyd’s neck).
Additionally, Floyd began stating “I can’t breathe.” 30-40 minutes earlier, before they’d even walked him across the street. He continued to say he couldn’t breathe while standing, sitting in the shade, sitting in the police SUV, and, finally, on the ground, never convincingly.
After watching the entire 40 minute exchange—prior to the real world riots really breaking out—and seeing absolutely no rough treatment or even elevated language by either party, I honestly assumed, originally, that there wouldn’t even be charges filed.
It was that benign.
And again, the only common theme was that Floyd never complied with any lawful commands (though again, not violently)—just noncompliance.

Nicholas Anthony Williams, who worked out of the FBI’s Houston office but is no longer with the bureau, admitted Monday to four thefts while serving search warrants.
One of those was a July 13, 2023, raid on the home of Alexander Fan, a member of Asians for Trump who breached the Capitol as part of the protest against the Electoral College count that confirmed President Biden’s win.
Williams made off with $2,729 in cash and some silver bars, which he later tried to sell.
He also stole $1,200 during a raid on another residence on Dec. 16, 2020; got $4,145 from a raid on March 15, 2022; and pocketed $1,574 from a raid on Jan. 12, 2023. The theft from Fan is the last one he admitted to and, according to court documents, appears to have led to the agent’s downfall.

Came in from working outside and Kennedy is speaking at a rally and what he was saying has me sitting down and listening. I have too much work to do and should be outside splitting wood. I do like what he’s saying but I keep in my mind that he was raised up in a political dynasty and hairs on the back of my neck tells me that he knows how to pander and he’s pandering to MAGA because the commies don’t have room for his messaging within their platform.
It’s wise for adults to be suspicious of ALL politicians.
This is one reason so many people flocked to Donald Trump.
He was NOT a career politician.
