If there is one economic dynamic we have talked about on these pages more than the rest, its inflation. {Background}
The root causes of inflation are two-fold, monetary policy and energy policy. However, when combined they represent a predictable outcome. Specifically predictable, when it comes to highly consumable goods that require a lot of industrial effort, labor, distribution and warehousing processes. Thus, food inflation was/is worst.
Kamala Harris and her boss did this to millions of Americans
If I was in charge of the RNC research, or the Trump campaign, this would be my new ad pic.twitter.com/WJ4QCbuJmm
— A🪓E (@RealDealAxelrod) September 21, 2024
Within all of the sectors most vulnerable to upward price pressure as a result of policy (monetary and energy), the main industry impacted by immediate and severe inflation is food, farming and agriculture. Food, a highly consumable product with a thin supply chain, sees the results of inflation first and fastest. Durable good inflation lags behind high-velocity consumable goods.
It was with this understanding CTH first warned in 2020 of what would happen coming out of the COVID Pandemic economic crisis. We predicted and watched in 2020 as one-third of all food supplies were destroyed because 50% of the food supply chain (restaurants, cafeterias, schools, food trucks, essentially food away from home) was shuttered.
In the middle and latter part of 2020, the retail food supply chain (grocery stores), normally representing 50% of total caloric consumption, struggled to keep pace with massively increased demand on that side of the food supply. The agricultural supply chain was completely screwed up in the USA when half of the normal food distribution (wholesale food away from home) was blocked from their business model. The resulting impacts were entirely predictable for those who did not pretend. We warned, and it happened exactly as we anticipated.
Then, making the predictive nature of food pricing more obvious, we watched as the Build Back Better or Green New Deal was thrust upon the entire western world dynamic. This BBB/GND energy policy shift intentionally and purposefully exploded the cost of manufacturing and distributing food. With massive and immediate increases in energy prices, the price of food skyrocketed quickly; because the impacts are fast in this sector.
Over the next several years the prices of food continued going up as the increased energy cost embedded within the agriculture sector. Nothing about the price of food, or the ancillary processes within the industry, will change unless and until energy costs retreat. In essence, with higher energy costs, food prices stay high; they are directly connected.
No other facet to food inflation is more substantial than the cost of energy to produce the product. Farming and agriculture are energy dependent from fertilizer to farming equipment, fuel, processing, packaging, transportation, warehousing, storage, climate controls in distribution etc, everything is dependent on energy pricing.
High energy costs are why food prices (inflation) would always stay high, regardless of what happens in other sectors. CTH talked about this at length long before the impacts came over the horizon. We talked about preparing our families to offset this issue, but there is only so much you can do.
We are all currently feeling the intense increase in prices at the market, grocery store and supermarket, and the worst aspect to this dynamic is the reality that as long as energy prices remain high, food prices will never drop. [NOTE: There is a smaller supply/demand impact; however, with most of the USA agricultural sector exporting food products (multinational corporations ie. Big Ag) the domestic USA supply is subject to globalized pricing.]
Bottom line. As long as energy prices remain high, food prices will remain high.
The “great reset” per se’, was not a process that began after the pandemic. The pandemic was the beginning, ushering in the “great reset” by being the starting point of the mostly western, global energy shift.
Into this dynamic there is good news, one voice has clear eyes on the problem, and as a consequence, answers. President Donald Trump understands the nature of how the current price pressures that are crushing the middle-class can be reversed and removed. WATCH:

.
Many people have written with appreciation for the CTH forecasts delivered in the fall of 2021. I am thankful to have been of benefit to those who could take proactive measures to avoid the economic issues we faced in 2022 and beyond. However, that financial pain has not subsided. There’s only so much a person/family can do to offset rising energy costs.
I know just about every reader on these pages can relate to how financial fear can eat at you from the inside. The life game of trying to figure out how to get from one week to the next, keep a roof over your head and keep the kids/grandkids safe and fed is fraught with trepidation. I get it. Believe me, I get it…. But you just gotta keep going; whatever it takes.
Our heels are over the cliff, it’s already rough for most working families and people on fixed incomes. We need MAGAnomics more now than any other moments in our lifetime. This is why I was saying in 2023 we needed to focus at home; keep building that bunker safe and secure.
Then look to help/assist the neighbors, then the community, etc. But start by being proactive at home and do not isolate. Fear, worry, trepidation, foreboding etc, is worse when internalized. Do not swallow it – reach out to a loving God, pray, release it, and then embrace the central purpose in life, fellowship.
Be patient, be respectful, be kind and caring. Don’t look for trouble. But when the time comes to fight, drop the niceties and fight for your family with insane ferocity.

We certainly benefitted from that advice about food prices and we were well prepared thank you and team for all that you do to keep us informed.
that diagram: also need a tractor / harvester in that first “Production” step … running on diesel fuel, mind you
Absolutely! Sundance spoke and I dropped $2000 on meat. Froze it, then canned it, and still eating some today, and that same meat would cost $8000 + now.
Too many dollars chasing too few goods.
With abundance comes price stability, with scarcity price increases.
When Biden/Harris shut down oil in 2021 and mineral production in 2022 we saw the vacant store shelves. Fertilizer, textiles, plastics, fuel are all made largely from petroleum by products, crops were scarce, animal feed was scarce, transportation nearly came to a stop because of high diesel prices (remember the supply chain bottleneck off the west coast with ships waiting to unload on overfilled docks because truckers couldn’t get in to move the cargo out.
And then the Democrat Congress pumped $2-3 Trillion more into the economy (Inflation Reduction Act, Infrastructure act, Chips Act, etc) driving more consumption, but without offsetting production to refill store shelves, made worse by regulations cutting back on natural resources .
Just the consequence of half-baked economic planners now assisting Kamala’s campaign
Just need to increase the number of “goods” and the inflation goes away.
It’s really as simple as that but our elected officials and the Federal Reserve have another agenda!
Crash and Burn … lol
Who’s occupying the White House right now, Tim? Who’s been responsible for all this tumult?
Tim Walz telling the truth?
https://x.com/theblaze/status/1837551492170948649
I’m sure he thinks it’s Trump’s fault!
https://x.com/_____USA___/status/1837594123966324970
Change x to Twitter, and boom. 💥
WE CAN’T AFFORD THIS FROM WEEK TO WEEK THANKS TO YOU ALL TIM!
Tim doesn’t need a hat, he needs an American flag. He’s apparently scared of them, so we need to teach him how to care for it, carry it, display it and show respect for it. Save the hat for the working man and woman.
Here’s a great article on Tim Walz and his serious ties to Communist China: https://amgreatness.com/2024/09/21/the-great-walz-of-china-an-innocent-abroad-or/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=act_eng&seyid=23207
Hoping he annihilates Timpon over tampons. It will be one of those iconic sound bites heard throughout the ages.
In the future there will be some poor man with a gaping putrid smelling hole where his manhood once was thinking of who, how, what and why he did what he did.
It was for “the cause.”
We had to ration our 1 dozen eggs like never b4. The very cheapest cost of a Doz. eggs was $ 4 dollars. Hubby refused to pay that, I don’t blame him but with 5 mouths to feed when grandkids are here, it really sucks! I have seen eggs cost much more at other stores. I shop at W.M. otherwise I would be eating bugs (not really) I would rather starve.
The Harris/Jill Biden administration brought down the price of gas but now we can’t afford EGGS or meats !!!
Under Trump eggs would often be 50 cents a dozen on sale. These Marxists in the current regime are trying to starve everyone, but themselves.
I was paying $0.52 cents a dozen at Aldi in the beginning of 2020.
Thank you; this month has been particularly hard, having to do unforeseen major repairs can definitely say it is due to the in-depth posts, and the helpful (from their life experiences) comments, these past few years I was able to put aside enough, both food, supplies and cash, to cover these unexpected events.
A few times the image of someone hanging off the side of a cliff, holding on only with the fingernails digging in has cropped up. Remembering that it’s okay, things do work out, accept the problems as guidelines gave those fingernails the strength of Hercules!
Roller coaster ride, prepare while the car we’re in is slowly climbing up that hill so that you can hang on for dear life when it starts to go the opposite downhill side-winding directions!
These posts, on the finances, the supply chains, the little parts of the economy unless experienced personally we might never have considered. Can’t thank you enough Sundance – our time traveler, seeing way into the future and bringing us tales of winnable ways to keep our feet and hearts heading in the right direction.
There’s no margin for error when prices are this high! We’re being reduced to serfdom, intentionally.
I make a decent living and I’m shocked at the price of groceries! I believe most Americans now understand that only Trump can fix this mess. Even Tim Walz says “we can’t afford four more years of this!”
Same here. On a fixed retirement income. I buy the same groceries every week and every week the prices go up even though diesel has stabilized. I keep getting surprised.
Don’t forget to add in the utilities increases, wages increases, property tax increases and on and on goes into producing those same groceries. So it’s not just fuel prices.
For me & the entire town … it’s the new “Fire Protection District” ie a new DEI Fire Marshall in town.
Hell I tell everybody it’s the damn Fire Marshall … price increases will be heading everyone’s way in town. (for others it seems to be a well guarded secret … WHY … WTF … call it out … people are shocked when I tell them that is why … ZYZ business closed.
Most of the businesses that I see are closed or remodeling but that is the landlords doing as they had tennant’s that flew Sundance’s double Mickey flags at her and closed and moved out.
I have the same issue that the Marshall wants me to spend about 25k+ that has nothing to do with protecting the building from fire, it is all about reading that someone else has stamped their approval of pieces of equipment such as Underwriters Laboratories and the like. (she specifically forbade me from a custom solution … off the shelf pre-approved only … which would require me to move sprinkler heads & here in the sticks … I’m not paying 2 guys to drive for 6+6=12 hours + a hotel room to do a few hours work @ 500 or so bucks an hour … not my building.
I’m planning on moving my equipment upstairs which is easier & costs less 10 to 15K but … that cost is going to be passed on … I’m planning on a GIANT sign … FIRE MARSHALL fee added to all orders … see if I can help light a fire under the local GVT a$$e$ about what they have approved of doing …. as they (the GVT) approved of throwing grandfathered items into the dumpster and setting it on fire.
Talked to a builder that patronized me a couple of weeks ago, one of the buildings he built 20+ years ago has been deemed to need a sprinkler system ADDED to it, builder told me 20 years ago the fee for a water line for a sprinkler system was 125K … it didn’t go down from there he guessed … I believe he is correct.
So it comes down to retrofit or demolition of said building and either building a smaller building or selling it off to someone who has something else planned, any way you go about it… it is the loss of all of the businesses that it houses.
That tightens the market and prices go up with less competition.
I’ll digress from here as my blood boils talking about it.
I can’t wait to see what will happen when the downtown 100+ year old buildings needs retrofitted fire sprinkler systems, I’ll bet the poo will hit the fan then …
I see the GVT is selling the one that they were in … bet its a trap for the poor dumb rich guy that buys it … unless he plans to start from the ground up after demolishing the building.
Just got hit with a 250.00 a month insurance increase on a property I rent to a family member at half the market value.
No good deed will go unpunished.
I’ve recently learned that ALL my nieces and nephews in their late 20s, all with babies, they ALL are needing to use SNAP benefits to make ends meet.
These are all married couples with both parents working at what are considered decent jobs.
When you are buying diapers and paying $2,000 a month for rents, trying to keep vehicles running, if they worked around the clock they couldn’t make enough money to make it in the times we’ve been driven down too.
We’re all devastated seeing this.
My veteran father is the most furious of all.. seeing this happen to his flock of hard workers.
We help out however we can- but then it’s not like us parents are in that great of shape either!
We’re truly fearing for our future as we see so many people on the ragged edge- one small issue away from being done- and winding up either on the street, in a tent or on someone’s couch.
The people that are running this country, right into the ditch, they should be shunned, hanging their heads in shame, not looking to get re-elected !!
We need to bring back the tar and feathers..
Don’t buy diapers, use cloth ones and wash them. Paper products have skyrocketed!
My thought exactly!
The part where it says both parents working.
.
Are the childcare facilities going to integrate handling cloth diapers along with disposable ones, no way.
They should, and many do as some children are allergic to disposable diapers.
I get what you are saying.
However we’ve also got some of the highest electricity rates in the country and people that live in the city pay for water.
Most people don’t have washers and dryers in their rented housing.
You are not allowed to have clotheslines in many places.
A family of four in a one bedroom apartment certainly doesn’t have space for the 3 or 4 drying racks that it would take to dry a load of diapers.
Cloth diapers need to be sanitary- this means very hot water and a hot dryer doesn’t hurt either because when the diapers are not cleaned to the degree of being sanitary, this is how the babies get rashes.
Have you been there and done that? because many of us have and we certainly can tell the story.
The math doesn’t work to save you money is most cases because it’s not the era we grew up in anymore.
Babies with painful rashes will keep the parents out of work because that baby isn’t going to daycare like that.
If cloth diapers was the solution, the majority of parents would be doing this- and they certainly are not.
note also the shrinkflation
remember canned green beans and canned corn and canned beets?
they all used to be 12-oz cans
now they’re 7-oz
not only smaller and swindling you out of your cash
but a larger waste of can material … the metal
once you’re going to manufacture a can, a larger size can on delivery (12 oz) is proportionally more efficient at product delivery on a per-unit-product basis (can cost per oz green beans)
Remember when frozen veggies were 16oz? I see those at 12oz now
Have no fear! Bob Casey (D-PA.) has promised to take on “shrinkflation.” In 4 senate terms, (24 years!) he has done NOTHING for Pennsylvania or anyone else, but now he’s promised to defeat shrinkflation if elected for term # 5. He’ll win again in November as all Pennsylvania politicians are corrupt and ‘selected’ for office. The people of Pennsylvania have no say in voting.
Remember when canned veggies actually had ‘vitamins’ in the product you were purchasing?
No need to exaggerate – things are bad enough.
no exaggeration – you been to the store recently?
all the canned goods in my store (Safeway) are smaller for at least a year or 6 months now
“Inflation is very inflationary. It inflates in a way that keeps inflating”
~ Kamala Harris
Please tell me that is a parody…and not a real quote. She didn’t actually say something that stupid did she?
The fact that you are even asking this question speaks volumes to the stellar qualifications of candidate Kackles.
Yes, Indeedy!
If you honestly have to ask … it really doesn’t matter does it?
My guess is that she did not say that although it is stupid enough to come out of her mouth.
Harris believes that the producers in this nation are “Price Gouging” and, if she is voted in for president, then she is going to “go after” price gougers who have caused all of this economic turmoil and not the policies of Biden-Harris.
The first time Kampala said it, she said, “price gauging.” She doesn’t know the English way of speaking. Much like Obama when he didn’t know what furnace was called, having lived in Chicago and New England most of his adult life. And the ever popular , “Corpseman.”
She can’t read
She can’t talk either…
That’s because she’s a specialist: she only does one thing well. Can you guess what that is?
I heard that too. I honestly believe she doesn’t know what that term means; completely foreign phrase to her ears!
closely tied to the significance of the passage of time…
And rightly having the right to….whatever subject she is talking about…
Kumela is right! Ego’s, like inflation, keep on inflating! Just like the ego’s of pitifully incompetent narcissistic politicians!
Kamalababble…..inflation has become unburdened by the past
My hope is this does not sound too selfish, but not only has your, and CTH posters suggestions and insights been emotionally beneficial.
They have proven to be financially so too.
Locking in money at higher rates of returns earlier in the year, plus energy company stocks and their tax preferred dividends here in Canada are continuing to be a prudent “ hedge”
Thank you, and cheers to all.
Hear you. Years ago I inherited some what was then Royal Dutch now Shell stock from my Grandfather. (Had actual paper certificates I kept in a safe.) Added some of my own. It pays a decent dividend (not as good as in the past, but still something) and I have to admit BH administration has been good for the share price.
I can’t decide whether to dedicate time, resources and energy to propagate hundreds of firecracker bushes to over Winter and be ready for sale at the Master Gardener Expo/Farmers Market/Flea Market come spring for cash to all the newcomers and Snowbirds from the Villages or if I should be spending all of my time planting collards and other hardy nutrition and building a chicken coop.
Both endeavors will help me survive. Only one will be the correct decision.
Either our economy will come out of its near death out-of- body experience or it won’t.
Then the only currencies will be ammunition, water purification tablets, home made liquor and unopened packs of baby wipes.
When buying and selling requires a digital ID and all the control that comes with it, it would be good to have groceries growing in the back yard.
Remember Sundance has always encouraged being prepared. Having eggs and gardens gives an edge and peace of mind.
Who knows if folks will be spending cash come spring on bushes? JMO
Exactly. I have several gardens going, my feline adopters have kept me from having my own yard birds. I have been Blessed with neighbors with chickens. I cannot rely on their overflow eggs when push comes to shove.
On the other hand, IF The Creator gives us another chance with President Trump, 300 to 400 individual 3 gallon firecracker bushes at $25 a piece will be sorely missed.
My mother plant did not die back last “winter” and is 20 feet tall and about 30 feet in circumference..
I would do some of both as a hedge.
Go ahead and eat eggs! Farm fresh and free range…I found this interesting article…
https://pickyeaterblog.com/how-long-do-farm-fresh-eggs-last/
My advice would be to continue on doing your prepping for you own survival.
If we can’t get Trump elected, the last thing people will be thinking about is spending money on firecracker bushes..
The extra money won’t be there and even if it is, people won’t be spending.
Remember when the Governor of Michigan, Whitmer, refused to allow people to purchase garden seeds and tomato plants during the pandemic? She forced the stores such as Home Depot and the garden section of Walmart’s to shut down.
I’ve been purchasing seeds ever since, making sure to get the organic ones that have not been chemically altered that stops the seeds those vegetables produce from germinating the following year. A lot of people don’t realize that those patented vegetable seeds have been manipulated so that their produce will not be able to produce seeds for the following year’s planting.
There are pro’s and con’s to each. Hybrids will not produce another of the plant you grew last year. May be close etc, but are hardier for a novice gardener that MUST feed himself they are a good to have. Heirloom seeds will reproduce true to type but have not had their resistance to certain bugs bred out of them, hence more difficult to grow. But you can save the seeds of mature fruits and vegs.
From what I hear and see many snowbirders are not traveling to FL for the winter..I own two fl Airbnbs and I am booked only for the month of February. My Ocala FL airbnb is normally at 96% occupancy. I’m at 63% right now. This economy is killing us. We reside in PA and it’s heavy blue for Harris(SW PA)..our food and utilities are sky high..People’s Gas just got approval for a 11% rate increase.
Duly noted. I will ask The Creator for the wherewithal and resources to do both just like the Hedge Funds that have done so much for our quality of life..
You must live in in another plane, Biden says the economy is great and he got us out the mess he was left. Funny that./s
Sorry this is happening to many of us.
I have been wondering if we would see a decrease in snowbirds. My job is going into it’s busy season usually because of snowbirds. Last year, they came late toward November.
I wonder if people are waiting for the election to plan winter travel.
It will be interesting to see if your air bnb’s fill up when PDJT wins.
🙏🏻🙏🏻
If whatever plants you end up deciding on – propagate plants, whether bushes or trees, for sale, consider those that produce food.
Oranges, peaches, plums, avocados, apples, grapes, raspberries, cherries – the things that people can plant in their own yard to help with them fill in the gaps.
Purchasing ornamentals may go out the window if the purchaser has to decide on something that may simply make their yard pretty vs one that can beautify their yard while also providing some foods that can be both readily eaten and preserved for later consumption.
Yess’um. I only grow pollinators and food. The firecracker bush is excellent for hummingbirds and honeybees. I also grow ginger, turmeric and garlic for medicine. I will continue with my black sugar cane plantation, Guatemalan avocado trees, Meyer lemons and pineapples.
Do Mulberry Trees do well down there friend?
Very well! You really need to be faster than the migrating birds while fruiting. There is a standard variety and an “ever-baring” which in theory gives fruit year round. The really successful specimens seem to be water hogs..
Grow the veg and get the chickens.
Sounds as though both endeavors would be a nice addition no matter what comes.
I see the Hummingbirds love those.
It would save folks a fortune in hummingbird feeders and refined sugar(Big Sugar can pound sand for what they’ve done to Lake Okeechobee) and attract other pollinators to food crops.
That is the only reason I was thinking of dedicating so much soil and fertilizer to the operation.
I remember many food processing plants destroyed a couple of years ago.
Yeah as I logged in I saw several articles about dairy recalls in multiple States. A few articles down was Bloomberg News saying Bill Gates it dumping $3 Trillion into fixing Milk And the human gut microbiome..
Words cannot express the hay tread I have for Bill Gates.
I too share that my friend. The Spanish & Portuguese during the Peninsular war had the right idea.
Words can’t express how much I agree with you!!!!!
😱😱😱
🤬🤬🤬
Correct. Now we have the many recalls and slaughter of tens of thousands of cattle and chickens on a regular basis.
Yes, your advice was prescient, accurate and appreciated.
My personal stockpiling / hoarding from the last couple of years on non consumables and long shelf life food products has just now came down to mild replacement measures.
The costs of most things between now and then is ridiculous.
I know probably most here do this, but use coupons, rewards programs, sales, everything you can to reduce impact.
If financially able, stockpile any good you use when it is on sale and store it away, and not just food. Sundries also. It helps. Discount stores line Dollar Tree I have found invaluable. Some things are not that good, others are name brand, high quality. Use them.
Prayers to all!
Dollar General has sweet deals on Lodge Brand Cast Iron cookware.
New Florida: I do almost all my cooking in Lodge cookware. Better taste, easy to clean, no potentially toxic materials. Never wear out.
And using iron cookware helps to increase the iron count in the blood….. very small particles of iron are attached to the food you eat from the pan and eventually gets to the blood cells.
I no longer have the hand strength to use ours much other than frying pan.
It does? I will definitely have to check that out! Love Lodge cast iron.
I have not stocked up on anything. We buy stuff on sale whenever we can and if something like the covid grocery shortage happens again, we can survive on what most people don’t want. The stores will have things like canned salmon or liver sausage or brussel sprouts or beets that people just don’t buy. It would make for an interesting menu but whatever is there we can eat.
It would have to get apocalyptic for all food sources to disappear. I would urge everyone to learn how to cook with the oddest cheapest ingredients and learn how to eat all your leftovers because throughout history those who did survived.
Turnips? Pork liver? Cow tongue? Can you cook or break down a whole chicken? Ever eat the weed Amaranth?(very tasty and abundant early summer by the way)
Pork Shoulder – excellent buy.
don’t disagree, but as a fan of beef tongue, fresh or smoked,
i can tell you it has been priced out of reach for a while now.
https://grasslandbeef.com/products/beef-tongue
$45.94 + shipping – IF you can get it.
my other go to was beef kidneys, haven’t seen them available for years.
and before i get any “ewwwws”, i wouldn’t touch haggis or tripe even with a hazmat suit on.😂😂😂😂
I’m a tripe fan.
sorry.🤭😂
i understand from folks who are fans that it’s good.
i just can’t “stomach” it.
🤣🤣
on a serious note, i applaud the no waste concept.
using absolutely ALL of the carcass is a sign of respect to the animal.
even cattle eyes are used to train human and veterinary opthomologists.
it’s our heritage to make do!😊
Cattails (marsh plant tubers😉) and crawdads, froglegs and snappin’ turtle soup..
Granny used to make the best vittles, like possum pie
Turtle, and turtle soup, and frog legs………goood stuff!
Have not tried cattails. Never did like crawdads, unfortunately.
Love your style my friend. I had a Viet Nam vet friend who lived in Fla for many years that ate all of that.
Buy beans and invest in a fishing pole.
Agree; dried beans of all kinds, lentils too.
I hear cats can be tasty.
🤣😂😅
LOLOLOL!!!
Canned beans have the longest shelf life. Rice can be stored for a looong time in a clean, cool, dry place. That and water and a little shelf-stable ghee. Water collection and filtration are paramount.
Up here in Minn. a fishing license can pay great dividends. Ice fishing or shore or boat, A few fish can make a tasty meal. Get a smoker and smoke Carp and sheephead, They are excellent smoked and also make fertilizer for the gardens.
How great is Walleye?
The Best!
The problem I’ve had with fish or fish emulsion in the garden is that the scent draws/attracts all the 4 legged critters.
At night I occasionally pee around the perimeter of my raised straw bale beds to keep the critters away because I use fish emulsion.
Do y’all have lingcod up there?
In the first half she lectures Raskin about his 2025 misleading…in the second half she talks about the Biden energy policy damage…

“MISLEADING”: Former EPA Chief of Staff Says Trump Had Nothing to Do with Project 2025
Video linked in tweet…
This is cool but I can remember when a certain Goldman Sachs Dem flunky EPA chief was trying to label CO2 the foundation of life as a “Pollutant” so they could do a Carbon tax and crush us further destroy our economy and net them trillions. CCX was one that Obozo was invested in. Generation Investment Management was another. It was a Uniparty/Democrat Goldman Sachs operation in large part.
Thanks! I saw one of my MD reps, though not mine, Jamie Ratskin. SPIT!
Personal story here, I went to my local Pizzeria and it had gone up from $17 & change to $20 & change for a large margarita pie last week. Now earlier months ago it had crept up from $14+ to $15+. I went to my favorite Chinese restaurant, owners are hands on long time residents top shelf ingredients and the bill had been going steadily upwards the past few months jumping up $2+ every couple of months starting at around $38 for the same three items. Last nite it was $52+. So the last week both restaurants had a large jump in price.
On eating out, we get a local saver magazine. Sometimes it has coupons for our local private restaurants.
But what I found most useful after studying the ads more closely, is that a lot of these restaurants have daily specials, mostly during weekdays.
I was amusingly surprised at how different local restaurants had specific dishes on specific nights at real reasonable pricing.
I don’t go out much for lunch or dinner, a couple of times every week at my hreakfast diner though, but I kept a list of which ones had dishes I liked and what location and day it was offered. So, if I don’t want to cook or eat leftovers or have any leftovers, I spy my list for which place has the ‘deal of the day’ to help reduce costs.
Try checking those out to see it helps with your costs.
You might not can get what you want when you want, but you might be able to plan your cravings on when they’re offered discounted.
My thanks BK, but as coming from a family of restaurateurs, the Soviet-Democrat-Uniparty inflation is going to especially crush restaurants. I’m not super crunched yet, but many of our fellow Heritage Americans are. Its a particularly evil of government and these evil criminal & treasonous Neo-Bolsheviks.
Slainte
Yup, and they have put this on the ballot in Massachusetts, raising tipped employees hourly wage to the minimum wage:
https://ballotpedia.org/Massachusetts_Question_5,_Minimum_Wage_for_Tipped_Employees_Initiative_(2024)
local place I get food from, same items, the price is almost 40% higher in 3.5 yrs. They have to raise to survive and also shrink portions.
Fiscal/Energy Policy, FULL STOP
I must lack imagination, because I don’t see how we ever go back to lower prices.
I agree bill. It all goes back to energy and the first thing the illegitimate Weekend At Bernie’s cadaver Biden was ordered to do was shut off the Keystone Pipeline. What was the reason given for this treasonous move?
PDJT & his MAGA policies was making us energy independent and thus cutting off the funding of terrorism which is the monetary pipeline for the IC/Saudi Arabia & Co. The Orwellian War On Terror never really was meant to stop the true terrorists but as an excuse to wage wars against secular & Shia non-compliant ME/African nations. Cheers friend
They drive newer Toyota’s than most Heritage Americans. Anyone ever do an audit of Toyota truck purchases?

Guess what we were driving in Honduras and El Salvador during the 1980s campaign against the Sansinistas and guerillas when we were out being inconspicuous and in civilian clothes???
^^^^^^^^^^
See meme above!
Even the same color! 😉
Nothing new under the sun.
Who was it again that created, funded and directed those ‘terrorist’ groups over there?
The Hilux isn’t sold in America. Our truck prices are ridiculous compared to those.
Good idea!
They won’t.
And prices will never return to where they once were. The damage is done but can be curbed. That’s why it’s so imperative to pull this communist rot by the root.
Does Cloward-Piven & massive illegal invasion of third worlders bring us there which they are doing now?
Those quotes, back to back, are eye opening because it is *EXACTLY* what is being done to us.
It drives home the point that this is NOT accidental, there’s are DELIBERATE moves by COMMUNISTS who simply conceal it from the American Public…….for now.
Thank you Greg, that I what I am usually trying to do when I multi meme tag. Cheers
Its hard to discriminate among any of the elements comprising the
deep s**t we are in – they stem from the worst thing that ever happened to this country: a meaningless presidency. And as is well documented in this space, a group literally hell-bent to destroy the Good we have all believed in, and worked damned hard for.
You could not write this Tragi-Comedy.
A familiar analogy is the Idiot Son scenario, where spoiled, corrupt, immoral 2nd Gen inheritors of a thriving company, trash and wholly devalue the success built on the ingenuity & earnestness of the father. Tell me Joe Biden isn’t one such Idiot Son, swept up in the Yes Barack/Yes Nancy demands coming from their maelstrom of immorality, executive incompetence and sorta, kinda, maybe, made writ large by Marxism.
For so many religious-like Democrats to experience the revelation of overcoming their prior TDS and decide the United States and what it means to them, is worth the metamorphic shift and not just vote, but redirect their political spirit and back this guy, is maybe the biggest statement of all on how bad things truly are.
The Reagan Democrats pale in comparison to the Tent Trump & team have built – its a natural coalition built on the simple goal of (but not answer to) preserving the Union. And everyone concludes, Trumps the guy.
How happy the Trump Dems must be everyday they awaken and not defend the vacuousness the Other Dems must continue on & promote (see the OW).
Harris is a money-grubbing, climbing, ruthless dope.
This articles explains her personality and what to understand about this dumass:
Kamala’s Money Machine — “Kamala demands a life of luxury.”
https://www.frontpagemag.com/kamalas-money-machine/
“Harris is a
money-grubbing, climbing, ruthless,dope.”Harris is a dope.
Easier to remember.
Marxists are highly materialistic.
I would add trade and immigration policy to the list as well.
Oh, and endless unnecessary wars.
Yes. Importing 20 million new mouths to feed will have an impact of food prices, housing, vehicles, medical care, and government services.
Of course, the US citizen will be shoved to the back of the line.
… on top of the 20-million-plus who were here already
“11 million” my a$$
The number of illegal alien squatters was 11M 4 decades ago.
Nobody left & 10s of millions more came before the the Xiden junta.
I usually buy three 18 count cartons of eggs every month. They used to cost 1.36, but now that they are 5.77 I only buy one. I’m looking forward to being able to bake again after November.
Here in Hawaii, eggs were up crazy but now are back more reasonable. At least California eggs. Local eggs are much more expensive. Same thing gas was actually down to $3.75 at Costco the other day.
For the older folks Soc. Sec. cost of living increase to be about 2.5% for 2025. That seems to be about right/sarc.
How much will the Medicare premium go up. From a Finance guy whose spreadsheets got blown up by Biden/Harris, my ‘forecasts’ never anticipated 40 to 50% increase of costs necessary to keep a roof over head.
I am not sure anyone’s planning accounted for this.
and the other side of the equation is open borders and influx of unskilled and low skilled workers depressing the real incomes of working families and individuals particularly at the middle and lower income levels.
Thank God you had the courage to speak the hard truths to us back then, Sundance. There is no telling how many individuals and families your advice has saved, so keep your vocal chords clear and keep railing against the tyranny that is attempting to subjegate us!
Even if you know nothing about economic policy, common sense says if a truck has to fill up with fuel whatever it is delivering is going to go up. 95% of the population understands that.
During the Great Depression and WWII, we had many “Victory Gardens”, chicken coops and rabbit runs in every neighborhood. If the Dems cheat their way in again, I would strongly recommend “Transformation Gardens”, chicken coops and rabbit runs again; to get us through the Greatest Depression. Root cellars and Basement Storage Rooms come in second. NOT A JOKE!
Yep, that is how we live now except we haven’t advance to rabbits yet. We used river rock and mortar to build raised bed gardens and stored our potatoes, carrots and onions to last till the next planting.
We “get plenty chicken and pig” running around feral here (Oahu). Would be nice to have more taken out. That and the cat colonies.
I think Harris is counting on her ability to bamboozle dems who don’t care about policy, only care about joy
The word salad is her deliberate strategy against common sense
They are messing with protein production too. Beef prices have skyrocketed and the herds have not increased very quickly. There is another evil dynamic at work here. Gates is buying up farm land and idling it. Can’t find the numbers. We are lucky CO2 is increasing and helping to drive up crop yields.
The war on beef by the climate change nuts has added to inflation. I am not willing to pay $25 for a little piece of chuck which was $9 two years ago. I will do without pot roast.
Steak and prime rib are enjoyed only by super wealthy people now
This is the only issue that really matters. Food is it.
In 2007 Congress and Mr. Bush passed a green energy bill that required ethanol and biodiesel. Within 24 hours the prices of grains went up by 100%. Look it up for doubters. (Chicago Board of Trade.” Grain feeds us and cows and chickens. If we eliminated the REQUIREMENT of ethanol we would eliminate inflation and food fears. 50%!!! All that is required is to ignore the primaries in Iowa.
But we all know it’s not just food costs at the grocery store, locally-owned eateries, or restaurants. Any major home maintenance costs have skyrocketed, too. HVAC systems, appliances, roofs, lawn/landscaping labor & plants, … all prices have skyrocketed due to the Biden/Harris administration energy policies. Renters experience these costs, too … the property owner passes on the expenses to the renter. At a local sandwich shop this week, we noticed the 6 ft apart “X’s” on the wooden porch floor. They are faded, but the memory of China’s virus linger … that’s where all this recent mess started. Then, also think back to President Obama & Eric Holder’s policy to “ignore” immigration law violations + the “Affordable” Care Act (ACA) + “Clunker” Buy-Back + “Shovel-Ready Jobs”. The ACA raised prices, too … businesses had to step up. Then, think about how so much manufacturing went off-shore; we became a service economy. Then, also think back to President Bush (43) & Congress lack of strong spines to address immigration law. YES, it’s time for Elon to downside the Bureaucracy! Elimate overlap, waste, & fraud. Bottomline, pray that enough constituents have wised-up & will vote … pray for a landslide mandate that allows President Trump & a KNOWLEDGEABLE cabinet & Congress to Make America Great Again. And, thank you, Sundance, for posting the “Our Father” everyday on Treehouse so we can join in sincere prayer.
we became a service economy
“America doesn’t MAKE anything anymore …
“… America makes pizzas and pole dancers”

To pizzas and pole dancers I’d add propaganda puppets, poorly educated school pupils, and a plethora of pansy politicians.
America makes drug addicts…
But for the Grace of God, and military planning at its finest, sometime between a Trump win in November and Day One, we are here:
On January 7, 2017, President Trump tweeted out that silver is the most undervalued asset on the planet. 01-07-17
Hint.
He just released a special edition silver coin.
Big Hint.
He just bought a burger with crypto.
Big Hint.
His family just launched World Liberty crypto.
Big Hint.
The are 400 paper contracts for every ounce of silver available for actual cash delivery at the LBMA, (which started making silver “virtual” decades ago, a necessary step to allow all the endless money printing since then).
One big withdrawal from the LBMA . . . and it all goes down. Timber.
Like this:
The LBMA halts trading because it cannot deliver, panic sweeps into a short squeeze on silver, the stock market plunges, then we experience about three days of hyperinflation as the fiat currency plunges relative to precious metals and the chaos crashes all Western (SWIFT) payments systems other than cash or crypto. And less than 5 percent of Americans have or accept crypto. And most Americans now keep less than $50 cash on hand these days.
No EBTs
Your credit card doesn’t work.
Your bank is limiting withdrawals to $100 a day, but inflation means what was a $20 loaf of bread is now $40. Besides, your local grocery store was looted last night, and no supplies are coming in because the lending and credit system froze.
Ponder what America with at least 20 million invaders ready to fight for food and control looks like after 2 weeks of that.
The globalists answer:
Central Bank Digital Currency, you agree to get a tattoo with your vaccine and social credit score, and they’ll give you starvation rations and maybe a pass out of the refugee / FEMA camps. After a few months. Gavin New some has unanimously been named Administrator of the US and foreign peacekeeping troops from abroad are here to help. Just like they helped in Haiti. And various African nations.
A universal CBDC is the system the 11 largest banks have been testing out for the last 2 years.
Dark dystopian imaginings?
Or, possibly, the opportunity key to the end of debt and credit slavery, and of the Fed?
Good vs evil
All or nothing.
Freedom vs 1,000 years of darkness.
Just like with Covid, it is not a question of whether they were making plans to unleash this for decades (see The Great Taking for the details), it is a question of when, and whether Team Patriot and VSGPDJT have an answer because the death cult was forced to move too soon.
50 million or more dead in a year?
Or, many, many fewer and we walk into a new era.
Get out and vote, and bring your neighbors who are ready to see the light
For God has truly set before us the choice between life and death.
Not hyperbole. Not this time.

God bless the USA.
Are the Hunts still looking for their lost silver market?
Spot on
Can’t understand how things haven’t kicked off yet. Still not bad enough?
Dont reside in the US but understand you lead the west so I follow close. I consider things in the context of my children’s future. Hence things still not bad enough? I hope the shirt of their back kind of people prevail. They need to get things done Now. Not tomorrow.
I’m fairly sure Team Patriot now controls the Blackrock Investment AI known as A.L.L.A.D.I.N, behind the scenes, and have for a while.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aladdin_(BlackRock)
But that is speculation.
In wartime, the Commander in Chief can do a lot of things. Economic security and therefore having a viable currency would fit into most definitions of essential national security functions.
And I think the central banks have thrown everything they had at extending the system until they saw an opportunity to do things on their timeline, not ours.
Timing is everything.
As I think Elon Musk just tweeted.
We will see, but it would only be wise to prepare for The Great Shutdown.
As we go through a
Currency Exchange.
I find Black Rock’s use of Alladin quite ironic. The Islamic Golden Age was the total beatdown & persecution of Christianity. There is strong ties between the IC and Islam.
This corrupt administration, lacks leadership from top to bottom. And has no one qualified to do the job they were selected to do. It is DEI driven, without any concern, of destroying the middle class. Remaining in power and being in control, is its only mission.
We will always be grateful for Sundance’s warning in 21 that helped give us the resolve to sell our suburban home and move to the country. We grow our fruits and vegetables to can or freeze till next years crop and our hens give plenty of eggs.
Sure, I still have to buy staples like flour and sugar but most of us here are aware of the coming storm and are diligently prepping as much as possible.
This has been another area where I see the ever-widening chasm of the public, like the story of the ant and the grasshopper.
The left enjoying their pleasures while we work to prepare. I don’t think I have ever worked as hard as I have these last few years, but some say all this exercise is supposed to be good for us oldsters. 🙂
That is wonderful friend. I am full on country at heart and wish I was total country but am not, though in heavy ex-military/MAGA suburbs near more rural areas.
No joke. I was just putting in my BJs order and everything except fresh produce is 40% or more higher than it was in 2020. Things like ketchup are ridiculous in comparison.
Don’t know where you are but they’re eggs are outta site in the last two weeks.
$5.00/dozen yesterday. I visited with a woman standing over them who was close to tears. We agreed on all the basics: praying to God works, USA, and of course, VSGPDJT. We both left comforted. 🕯
“Who feels like black voters are taken for granted, ie, they make you promises and then they don’t deliver?”
Who is ‘they’?
Democrats of course!
You can lose a lot of weight by eating green salads. You can lose your freedom and wealth by believing in Harris’ word salads.
Because the left are psychopaths they will pass it.
You got THAT right!!!
They have no conscience whatsoever.
That is so funny & true at the same time Patience. Excellent
My, just started laying, 4 chickens are now laying about $1 worth of eggs a day. I have about 2-3 years of good layers.
There is only one policy OBiden/Harris is striving for, communism.
That is right. Start with energy price.
Off the cuff but discussing with wife about how we can’t understand why people would support more Harris/Biden. After the thousandth time it is exhausting. I think that is the goal.
Watch what they are watching. Read what the are reading and You’ll understand. Any computer has an automatic thing where hover over that temperature thing and an entire page of vile stories pops up against Trump.
We are farmers, I have bad news. We just sold the first of our fall harvest for double what we sold for last year. Our yield was a little higher, but not double. Get ready for another round of food inflation.
My heart sank just reading that….
I know, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but best to know it’s coming than to be blindsided by it when it happens. Before COVID my yearly fertilizer cost was about 2,500.00. This year it was 11,000.
Trump will do his best to fix things, but there are an additional 4 years and several trillion $ of debt to deal with. He is actually starting from many steps back of where he started in 2016/17. That is part of the plan to overwhelm the system to implosion.
He does have to hit the ground running in January 2025 and tune out the fake news.
I realize President Trump should NOT be discussing martial law but it seems that would be the proper thing for him to do as soon as he’s inaugurated. We are precisely there.
!
Actually not. Nthe learning curve is dead and gone. He knows what he can and cannot do. They will hit the ground running so fast it will make our heads spin.
We are worried about Trump being killed and they worried about Biden falling down stairs or a bike.
We worry about inflation and they worry about misinformation.
I guess we just think differently.
I blame vote inflation…
There is another part of this that needs to be discussed. Farming has become a government controlled system since FDR. It cannot be considered a capitalist model. Small farmers in some states no longer exist. What has transpired for decades is large corporate family farms expanding as government incentivized the planting of non food corps like corn and soybeans. Corn produced for ethanol and both for hog feed. It is another but related issue. Government forces ethanol to be added to gas and now deems that carbon must be captured from the ethanol plants. The pipeline proposed and government grants to built the pipeline from Iowa to North Dakota where after they capture carbon from the ethanol plants through the states will be pumped underground. The process of depopulation of rural America has been ongoing since at least the 1960’s. Certainly has at least some connection to UN 2030.
IF only. IF only 50% of the people weren’t 100% stupid! However, my percentage may be off, and there is a genuine danger that they (stupid people) will carry Harris into office and the country into failure. Prayer is the answer because it’s in God’s hands.
I feel it is more likely that the evil elite psychopaths that run our country would be the ones to carry her into office.
There are more MAGA than stupid people (IMO), but the evil people have far better means of cheating than the stupid people…
But prayer is still the answer! Declare Psalm 58!
The best way to shorten the food supply chain is to grow and harvest your own food and go fishing.
That has worked going way back into Old Testament times.
Smart people know food does not really come from a supermarket.
Hubby and I moved to a lake a couple of years back… NO FISH this year because huge flocks of seagulls descended (haven’t seen that before!) on our part of the lake early on this year and ate all the fish! Then the herons, the egrets, the ospreys…. a lot of competition. LOL!!!!
buy a shotgun and start eating herons and egrets and seagulls
I have my eye on the geese 😉
better get ’em before the Haitians beat you to ’em
Can someone explain how Biden’s policies negatively affected the energy sector?
There has to more to it than just shutting down ANWR.
Thanks.
He shut down the Keystone pipeline as soon as he came into office. Severely cut the number of oil & gas leases… imposed onerous fees and permitting requirements making it unaffordable to prospect.
Huge number of new regulations across EPA, BLM, Interior… etc etc etc.
So many things he did that have all been reported on extensively in conservative media (and frequently talked about here at CTH).
What I don’t understand is the leases, permits and approvals for the Keystone Pipeline were issued years before Biden became President.
How can Biden “retroactively” and “legally” cancel leases, permits and approvals that were already signed, sealed and delivered????
I can’t retroactively cancel a lease once it’s been signed!
Not to mention the many thousands of jobs he obliterated (along with a small town).
Yes, the leases etc. had been approved, but they decided that they had not received proper documentation assessing the environmental impacts and used that as the reason to cancel (which was a lie). I believe the company sued for the money they lost etc.
“If your fridge is empty at the end of the month, you can also unplug it to save energy.”
— French Minister of Ecological Transition
Hang out some laundry…it will deprive a globalist somewhere, of a minuscule amount of money…and save you on your electric bill.
Screw saving energy….save your dollars….
As the old Duke Ellington song kinda goes…”It don’t mean a thing if they still have that swing!”
The “swing” being the Clyburn AMI Ballot Factories. President Trump has to publicly call out the Clyburn Fraud System. Beating around the bush isn’t going to help us. Put Clyburn and the election officials in Milwaukee, Madison, Detroit, Philadelphia and Atlanta in the target bullseye. Let them know that the Trump AG and FBI Director are going to come down on them with a 10 ton sledgehammer!!!
If only Clyburns electronic steps could be exposed. Text, phone calls, emails etc and his congressional aids electron steps as well. Could have that congress critter swinging from a (____).. 🤨
Well, just like the FBI and DOJ obtained all of President Trump’s phone calls, texts and emails to scrutinize they can get Clyburns and his AMI election officials in Milwaukee, Madison, Detroit, Philadelphia and Atlanta!
Actually, a patriot in his district could put in a very interesting FOIA request.
“… swinging from a (_______)”. Dat be raciss!
Amen.
We are grateful the hurricanes turned out to be drenching rain storms. Hopeful what is in the Gulf remains the same. That said, I will take the warning to restock my pantry. The leap in prices has been astounding as we only purchased produce. I keep praying to worry over the days after November 5th. They are such an evil and demonic crew.
Same, but we are on our third rotation. Don’t tell the IRS.
It’s like 30k of tax-free investment. You’re just purchasing stuff you will need in the future that stores really well.
It eiil be even more valuable if the Marxist steal another election and put in price controls which equals shortages.
I just had a perverted financial thought….related to ‘unrealized financial gains’ and the prepped concept…and her threat to enter our homes in search of our precious metals…
Who is to say that given the way they have trashed the economy…and want more of what we have worked for all our years…
That there is not a plan out there to tax our ‘durable food goods’ (canned stuff)… as ‘unrealized gains’? It is a sort of ‘investment’?
