Years ago, I (very) occasionally had to bring an injured animal to work with me when it was an “in office” day. One time the doctor for whom I was working told me I couldn’t. So, I gave him the option of my chocolate lab, Clarence, who was post-op and myself or……..nobody. He chose wisely. Banner day, of course. Couldn’t walk the hall for the patients wanting to get into my office to pet Clarence.
Told him he just got the cheapest and best PR ever!

OMG This is so true about labs and water. Mine have a stock tank of their own to swim in, cool off in, drink from etc. They use it even in winter. I have actually seen them break through thin ice to enter.

This was *NEVER* a quick endeavor.

Spoke with the “baby” several times today. Says he’s in pain, but nothing he can’t handle.
We have a St Francis fountain that the birds love, and a beautiful large copper one who resides in one of our fur baby cemeteries. He has a very serene comforting comportment that I like.
It may have been Ben Franklin who said, if his dogs weren’t in heaven, he didn’t want to go there either. I get that.

When we look for truth – in truth – we almost inevitable find, it is us that has mismanaged, and are re-causing much of the destruction,they then twist into a lie. Seen it happen with my own eyes, without really understanding how complex the entire system is.

Biography: Orville Redenbacher was an American businessman and food scientist, known for the Orville Redenbacher popcorn. He and his business partner Charlie Bowman developed an initial corn hybrid for use as this popping corn.
Redenbacher grew up on a family farm where he had an early interest in popcorn, selling it from his car. He then attended Purdue University and received a degree in agronomy.
While Redenbacher started out selling fertilizer, his experiments with popcorn eventually led to the partnership with Bowman. The company launched its popping corn under Redenbacher’s name in 1970.

While it’s unusual for so much time to have passed, there’s a few reasons for delaying the claim. More than a billion dollars is, well, a lot of money. After deductions and taxes, it’s still $537.5 million. Seeking legal and financial advice ahead of coming into that much money is something even the New Jersey Lottery urges its winners do ahead of time. So perhaps the lucky person is getting their ducks all in a row before going in and claiming the prize.
That being said, New Jersey is one of the states that allows winners to keep their identity a secret aside from providing it to state officials. The state is 1 of 18 in the country that allows for anonymous winners.
If that ticket goes unclaimed past March 26, 2025, the money goes back to the state. Typically, states take the money they get back and apply it to public programs like schools. Pennsylvania, for example, uses unclaimed lottery winnings to support elderly programs.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Are you sure you aren’t a reincarnation of King David Duchess 🙂 At least in the spiritual sense. One can definitely hear the influence (and I assume inspiration) of the Psalms. Which after all are the prayers, confessions, pleadings, rants, apologies and praises of the great man. Don’t know why, but this track by Phil comes to mind. David sitting in the cave wondering, fearing and requesting 🙂 🙂 Oddly enough the line “I’ve been sitting staring at the phone…” must be going through many a mind of the “free philistine” crowd right about now. My advice to them would be to call our Father in heaven rather – it’s free and there’s no call charge or time limit. Perhaps we all might do with the right message, before we repeat history (and misery) over and over. This one (poem) is a keeper. That’s the spirit.
Of course one line leads to another, one idea to the next. So not surprising I ended up playing my “Phil” playlist. First met Phil back when they were Genesis. Can’t remember exactly how “old” I was back then, but remember the real older folks giving me the “we’ll need to keep an eye on him” look. They being into Frank Sinatra, Nana Mouskouri and such. I think they thought I was a bit “weird”. My Black Sabbath album had already convinced them there was “something wrong” 🙂 They never thought to ask what I thought of their stuff. Actually I liked a lot of it and still do. Anyway continuing on the topic of chasing false realities such as the “free philistine nonsense”, I thought this track by Genesis sorta points out where we end up when we don’t follow true and sure ways as prescribed by our Maker – for our OWN good.

They fell into an Ambush of Sayeret Egoz and Golani. I just posted yesterday a video about Egoz. They are a very powerful Special Forces unit that is specialized in camouflage and counter guerrilla warfare.

It’s a sad Cursday. Our beloved granddog, Jake, passed away today. He was such a wonderful pup. He was 12 which I guess is old for a large golden doodle.
We just had him and brother,Maximus for 10 days while our kids were on vacation to Ireland. He wasn’t himself at all. On Monday he went to the vet and was found to have a large mass on his spleen, a very enlarged heart and severe anemia. Yesterday he quit eating and was sleeping most of the time.
I’ll miss him so much as will my little doggos. His Mom is beside herself trying to process everything. Praying for peace and comfort from the Lord for her.

Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.
Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
